Service was good. But food jot so good. Cesar salad was not Cesar. It was not with romaine lettuce. Dressing was to salty. Calamari not good at all it tasted like onion rings. Chichen parmesian was also salty. It was not good

Its was ok it still taste like it store bought. We had lasagna and the salad had nothing but the yellow part of the lettuce.And the price was really outrageous for two people I could go to a regular restaurant.

Local pizza joint that does everything very well, the pizzas are New York Style , the Calzones are hearty, their hot subs are fantastic, one of my favorite restaurants in Mandarin.
This restaurant came highly recommended. Not good. Food was tasteless. Bread used for the subs was not toasted, but instead dry and old. Sausage was thinly sliced and quartered, which made it useless in a 10 inch sub. Lol. I would not recommend this place. One positive: Staff is very nice.
2 HUGE slices... deluxe and meat. Fire! Fried mushrooms were pretty good too. Will definitely be returning to try something else.

This place says they are open until 10 pm on Saturdays and on the door. Hours are wrong and they just close up shop whenever they feel like it. Can’t run a business like that. Stay far away from this dump
This is the best pizza in Jacksonville. They make a Stromboli that takes me back to school in Philly. This family shares their love of food with their customers. You will never find a friendlier group of people serving you better Italian food. Meatball parmigiana is amazing, all the pizza is fantastic. Lunch or dinner, this is the place. Im always shocked that there are places like Dolces here in Jax and yet folks still buy pizza from the chains. Try some real pizza for a change!!! Highly suggest the calzone as well. There should be a line around the corner for this place if people only knew!!
We love Dolce’s and have never been disappointed. My family gets takeout from here probably twice a month and it’s always great.
Never had a bad experience or a meal here! You cannot beat a local family owned operation that delivers excellence and quality time and time again whether dining in or taking it home. The entire staff from the delivery drivers to the owners are all awesome folks!
Im from NY and this place is great. The staff is super friendly and the food is alrways fresh and tasty. Really surprising that some of the best pizza and subs in Jacksonville are in this little restaurant in Mandarin. Stop in and you will love the food. Meatball parm hero (sub for southerners) is amazing.

Dolces pizza is one of the best pizza places around. The pizza is always hot and fresh, and delicious. The inside of the restaurant is very nice and relaxing. If you haven’t give Dolce’s a try.

Good little Italian restaurant. The meatball side dish was a good appetizer to begin the evening. Nice flavor and good portion size. The entrees come with a salad, but its small and lacked the cucumber and onions, just lettuce, cheese and tomatoes. The lasagna was average, the portion size was good, but the flavor was lacking that wonderful zing you expect with lasagna. They bring more bread than necessary, but it was good. The service was good. They serve beer and wine. Want to go back and try the pizza.

NO FLAVOR.... Walked into this place (been wanting to go here for about a month) and i was hit with a delightful smell. It smelled like a pizza place should smell like. Ordered the Margarita pizza. This pizza had almost no flavor...even the crust had no flavor. I would suggest getting pizza from Little Caesars. I did not even take home the 3 left over slices. The Loop makes a MUCH better pizza then this establishment. The staff was fast, attentive and friendly...it is the food that has made this place a NO GO; even if they were giving away free pizza.

Just o-kay pizza but better than the last restaurant I tried (begins with a Z). All the by-the-slices were gone so we ordered a 12 veggie. Pizza was hot ...but not a New York style pizza. Dough was baked but mostly white...as if rushed (only group of 4 eating at the bar & one other table.) Waiterss not in view to get her attention so I went to the bar & got cooks attention who retrieved her from the kitchen area. Asked for oregano and she did not know what hat was....I An Italian Restaurant.
I ordered the lasagna and my wife had baked Ziti. Both were prepared properly with generous portions. Came with bread and salad. Price $.
Had a craving for some pasta. Read that Dolce had. 4.3 rating. With a rating like that, you would think it would at least be decent. They surely did not get close to that rating. Even a 1 star rating is too much.Ordered their chicken Marsala which tasted extremely sour. Worst tasting food ever. I think the Marsala used was rancid.I would not recommend this place. Think twice before you order. Consumer beware.

Really great Italian food! The price seemed a little high. We ordered for 7 and paid about $100 which seems like a bit much for Italian. Either way the service was good and the food was good, we will be back, loved it really great, everyone says so!!
Disappointing dinner tonight. Was hungry for spaghetti with italian sausage and ordered angel hair with meat sauce and added Italian sausage, came with salad garlic bread. Salad with creamy Italian was good, garlic bread was pretty dry so asked for butter, no prob.Pasta sauce seasoning was very bland, as was the sausage. Ive dined here many times, usually get calzone (excellent) or pizza so I guess Ill stick with those in the future.
Very good pizza here. The crust is delicious, although we would prefer a little more sauce. Nice people. Modern and neat place. Will try the dinners soon.UPDATE: Dropped my rating by one star. Unfortunately, the dinners that weve had were mediocre. Red sauce is just OK. Chicken Piccata is gloupy. Friendly people, but not the best cooks.
Amazing !!!!! The service is great . The food is fantastic and reasonably priced. 1st visit but not our last. Im telling everyone we know about this place. Its a must try and it will become your favorite pizza and more place. Give it a try . You wont do sorrybyou did.
A casual place we drop in at a couple times a month. I like that we can order off the lunch menu at dinner time for smaller portions and still get plenty. Good meals and friendly service.

Amazing!! I had an event at my office and I went there the night before and talked to the manager and asked him for pizza; he was real nice, helpful and professional. The pizza tasted so good and all the people that tried it loved it. Even when it got cold still tasted amazing.. thank you guys

Great Pizza and subs. I think my favorite is there chicken Parmesan, I have eaten there many times and just wanted to share my experience. Staff is great and always there when you need them. Good beer selection on draft for a small pizza Shop. Plan to go back there soon.
The Meatball Parmesan & Sausage Parmesan is one of my favorite things to eat anywhere! Dolces is definitely one of my go-to-spots when Im on my way home from work or in the mood for a real Italian sandwich. Very good New York style pizza too. I highly recommend this place... Enough so that I decided to write a review.

Best pizza on the South end of Mandarin...without a doubt! Crust is chewy and sauce is great. Generous with toppings and you cannot go wrong with $1.50 drafts.

The pizzas are decent for the price but it must be ran by members of the family who owns it. Customer service is piss poor. I called in to order and the cashier girl was very snappy when I asked about the different pricing since it wasnt on the site. I get there to pick up shes on the phone texting while sliding my card and places it on the table even though my hand was out reaching to receive it. Then practically flung the box on the counter. That level of disrespect is uncalled for. There are much better options to spend my money.

We come here for the pizza - but have recently tried some other dishes. The greek salad was awesome - and then ordered up a side of angel hair and a side of sausage marinara - combined them to make a really nice pasta dish. Follow it up with 1.50$ amber bock pint - was eating for 2 about 15$. Service has always been solid - no complaints. We only order pizza if the older fella is cooking - he is the pizza master. The younger fella (His Son) is good also, but the older dude cooks a great pie.
Really good pizza!! Im originally from Brooklyn NYC and this is the best pizza in Jax that tastes like home!! :-) Plus, its a clean restaurant, friendly staff and a very good menu of Italian classics that I am trying soon :-)
Came in and sat down in a booth on a Friday evening. Sat for well over 10 minutes as our waitress scooted past us repeatedly before I had to flag her down to ask for drinks. No apologies or anything for letting us sit that long. Pizza was 40% crust, 60% sauce/cheese and extraordinarily greasy. Ordered a ceasar salad that was lettuce with some really awful breaded (?) chicken mixed in. Service was incredibly slow even though it was not very busy, saw the waitresses congregating behind the bar and chit chatting quite a bit vs. checking on customers. Upon being handed the bill it was slapped down on our table without so much as a Thanks for coming or anything, just slapped down and walked away. She was tipped accordingly. The pizza/food here isnt good enough to deal with bad service like this. We will not be returning, there are a dozen better options in the area for pizza.

Very friendly over the phone as well as in person for delivery. Got a calzone with meatballs, chicken park sub, and canoli. Hot food was hot and cold food cold. Everything was delicious. Dolces is easily the best deal and quality in our area. Finally found the only pizza place Ill be using from now on.

The only pizza place I go to.Pizza is always perfect. Never too greasy. Proper sized pepperoni. Cut evenly unlike that nasty Serafinas Crooklyn Pizza joint on Racetrack Road.Staff is very friendly and you can tell they take pride in their pizzas.Never not even once had a bad experience here.

This visit I had the sausage parmesan sandwich. I had them add peppers and onions. It was delicious.So far, everything I tried has been good.And we tried having the food delivered. It always arrived sooner than they said AND the food was hot.I am pleased with Dolces!

Was here Tuesday. Something very wrong, the food was terrible. The sauce had a strange taste as if it had cough syrup in it. The chicken for the parm was a patty with a strange taste. Not sure if there are new owners but something was way off.
If you grew up in Brooklyn like me, this is your spot. IM NOT SAYING THIS IS BROOKLYN PIZZA, what Im saying is, this is the closest youll get to getting one out here. On a side note, theyre Calzones are pretty dam good too.

We were so excited to find out there was another place nearby that delivered. My husband was excited they had NY style pizza. So tonight we placed our first order, medium pepperoni pizza, order of breaded mushrooms, steak and onion sub and cheesecake.The food arrived and it was piping hot! Off to a great start, we were excited.What a disappointment it was when we began to eat... NONE of it was good enough to recommend it. The cheesecake had ice crystals covering it and frozen in the middle. If I wanted a Sarah Lees cake, I would have went to Publix.Wish I could post photos....afterall pictures speak a thousand words....

Greetings,my wife and I recently moved into the mandarin area and weve been trying all of the local restaraunts!We ordered for take out once and the pizza was good, so we decided to come in and sit down the next week. Well we didnt have the most pleasant in house experience, once again the pizza was good, but the service was substandard. The waitresses were sort of out of it and not paying attention, the pizza maker and owner seem very unprofessional to say the least, and I was NOT impressed.So while the pizza was good, it wasnt good enough for us to come in again.Sorry

The pizza had little to no cheese. I wasnt expecting much for a lunch special but this was the worst pizza Ive had in awhile. Go across the street to Vs, itll cost more but will be worth it
