Misty pierced my nose about 2 weeks ago and it didn’t hurt at all! Hurt less than my ear piercings. So friendly and very clean on the inside and it was pretty affordable! Highly recommend.

Ok so this tattoo/piercing shop is AMAZING!! I got my nipples pierced and the guy with the long white beard (i forgot his name) did mine. He was funny and gentle. He made me feel at ease. The place is very clean and the staff are welcoming. Also they are not very expensive.

My bride and I got our first ink done yesterday and all we can say is “wow”. To say we were happy is an understatement. Chris G was our artist and his work was phenomenal. We already have plans to be back for more! Chris was very personable and entertaining! The staff in the whole place were flat out awesome. The shop was spotless and exactly the type of place you want to get ink done.

I’ve been here multiple times and everyone in this establishment is so chill and they treat their customers like family. Absolutely incredible people here. Everyone here makes me feel loved and the artists work together with clients to make their tattoo dreams come true. I just recently came in for a cover up of some scars and Katilyn and I worked together to create this beautiful piece I designed and she added her own spice to it and I almost cried when we were done it was amazing. My dreams had become reality. The other two (I forgot their names) were chatting with me across the room and making me laugh while we were talking about plans and how stuff has been going. I will only come here from now on and forever. I absolutely adore everyone who works here you guys are the real mvps!! ❤️❤️Not to mention that everything in this facility is spotless, it’s immaculate. You could eat off the floor if you wanted too. I’m not gonna lie this place is cleaner than my doctors office!

Everyone at the shop was great! I was very comfortable and trusted that Kaitlin would do a great job. And boy did she. I absolutely love my tattoo. The process was smooth and she talked me through everything she was doing while she was tattooing me, which I definitely appreciated. Things for my partner didn’t go as smoothly but that’s no fault of anyone at the shop. If we’re ever in Jacksonville again I will definitely be back! She took my doodle and turned it in a beautiful tattoo that I can be proud to show off.

I got my Septum pierced by Edwin. He talked me through the process. HE made sure I was ok before I got up. The woman with the blue hair shaved at the bottom held my hand for comfort. I Recommend this shop for any piercings. WILL RETURN!!! And Misty is the woman!!!!! Thank you for everything!!! The piercing feels and looks awesome!!!!!

Took my daughter in for our mother daughter tattoos. We Had been speaking with the tattoo artists for a couple weeks explaining what we wanted. We arrived 30 min early (we live in Camden County which takes a while to get there). We were not asking to be seen immediately.. just wanted to make sure we were on time. The lady that was supposed to be tattooing my daughter was VERY rude about the fact that we even came in the doors early... Stating in front of my daughter that we would just be waiting for her to go get her lunch and eat in peace... Mind you they had only been open for an hour. like I said I KNOW we were early and were willing to wait. The attitude was VERY off putting. The other one that was doing my tattoo racially profiled saying she pretty much didnt believe my daughter was my daughter ,( Im white...shes brown) She stated she wanted to see divorce decree showing my name change... We were never married... Although I had her minor paper filled out and notorized and she had her ID. The pictures we sent her was NOTHING like what she had drawn out. We wanted a vine wrapped around our lower leg with shading...she drew out 2 long stem roses tangled together. They both REALLY acted like they didnt even want to do the tattoos and we were bothering them. We walked out and will definitely never be back..

Nose pierced today by Misty. Wonderful personality (personable) and on time. Misty provided clear easy instructions for my new piercing. Not painful. Looks great VERY clean location. I would definately recommend.

This is the place to go for your piercing needs. Misty did my septum piercing a while back and I had to come back to get all of my piercings changed to plastic for a surgery I was having. She was super fast and very kind, all while I was there. I highly recommend her for anyone wanting to get a new piercing.

I had the best experience with Misty. I got my helix pierced and the process was easy. She was personable and educated me through the whole process. Overall the place was clean and the staff was nice and attentive. Prices are comparable to other places in Jacksonville. Definitely will be going back for other piercings.

Went to get my nipples done with two friends and was extremely nervous and tried to chicken out. was made to feel comfortable and the piercing was incredibly quick (albeit the worst pain I’ve ever experienced) only complaint is that I was pierced with externally threaded jewelry and I don’t notice until it was too late. Wish places would stop using it already. all round a good experience and I hope these heal nicely so I can change them to threadless bars asap

Totally recommend this place. I did my research trying to find the best place in Jacksonville and they definitely are.I got a tattoo retouched and also got a couple of simple tattoos. Laura gave me recommendations on what would be best to make sure the design would look great and I would be satisfied. Chris was our piercer. My daughter wanted her outer helix done for her 15th bday. I got my nose done. Both of us would definitely recommend this person and the whole shop in general to anyone needing anything. Got my belly button pierced over a year ago and it never healed so a few months ago I went to an APP piercer and was told that the piercing was way too high (the blue line should have been the middle of the piercing) and that i do not have the anatomy for a proper piercing. Very disappointing. I now finally have a healed scar but all that and not able to enjoy a cute piercing like I hoped. Wish I was told this instead of pierced and sent on my way with a belly piercing instead of belly button.

Awesome team of people and clean. New to this side of town and so far been here 3 times. From the lady who answers the phone to the artist so far been great. Except one guy but no longer there just was having a hard time I guess.

I got my cartilage pierced as a walk in without an appointment. The staff is very professional and make you feel 100% at home. The piercing only took about three minutes so it was an easy in and out after the paperwork. The area was a clean environment and super relaxing along with a good playlist. 10/10 recommend!

The man who did mine and my sisters tattoos made it seem as if we were an inconvenience to him and his time. Paid for an hour, got a 7 minute tattoo. Also asked several times before my appointment to also do another very small tattoo. He blew me off every time but had no problem charging me the hour. Not going to spend money somewhere that makes me feel like Im not wanted.

I went there with my BFF that came from Gainesville we both had piercings I had the Daith piercing. Let me say we were both happy with the great service that was provided to us. Misty is the BEST she took her time explaining to us how to care for our piercings and very professional. This is my go to place I will definitely be coming back for more piercings with Misty. Let me start by saying ...this is my go to for any tattoos, its clean, they have plenty of jewelry to switch out and staff is friendly and helpful. I had a tattoo scheduled with Edwin and he is phenomenal, he did a AWESOME job on my 3 tattoos and 1 touch up ,he also worked with the pictures I sent him to be edited, when I got there he showed me what he put together and I loved it. Ive been going to Fat Kats for a few years now and its the best place for tattoos and piercings thats not ridiculously priced, friendly staff and clean establishment. Im rdy to have more work done, as soon as I can find the time.

I got my septum piercing done by Misty Dawn and she was fantastic. I was so scared to get it done because this was my first facial piercing and she really made sure I was ready and comfortable. Its been about four days since I got it done. Its healing seemingly great. I havent ran into any issues so far. Very happy with the service I got there.

Misty is hands down the best piercer I’ve ever had. Got my nipples done and was SO nervous going in. She did everything she could to make me less nervous, talked me through everything and helped keep me distracted during the process.

I got this piercing on Thursday, July 1st. When giving me my tongue piercing the guy didn’t even let me look at the markings he made to see if I wanted to adjust it, he just marked my tongue and then whipped out the needle. I’m used to at least being able to check and see if it is positioned where I wanted it to be. The piercing came out a bit crooked, he did not tell me how to take care of it at all and I had to ask him if there was anything I should avoid when drinking/eating with this piercing. Overall i just wish he was a little more engaged with his clients, especially if he wants to see them again. I went home not really understanding why the piercing was so small and not knowing what to do to take care of it, i had to YouTube it...

Laid back yet professional and so much fun. Great staff. Chris is badass. Quality tattoo, fair price. Highly recommend

I called on the phone & specifically asked if they carried gold nose studs & gold septum rings. The lady on the phone stated they did & told me the prices,I made my way to the shop over 35mins away . When I got there they didn’t have anything in gold at all like the woman on the phone explained . The shop overall was nice & I never gotten a tattoo here my review is solely based on the incident described.

My wife had her septum clicker STUCK. We called the Fat Kat and talked to Misty who was available and told us to come by immediately. In less than a minute after sitting down she had the piercing out. Misty was super sweet and helpful, go check her out!!

Clean and reasonably priced. I havent had any problems with my vch piercing. The guy that did it was kind of uninterested with my concerns and blew it off as Ive been doing piercing for 19 years. Do your own research before going so you kind of understand the process of whatever piercing your getting.

Kaylie did my daughter’s tattoo and was extremely nice and patient as my daughter is a minor and getting her first tattoo. She walked her through the process and explain the “why’s” and the “how’s”. My daughter (at some point) started feeling light-headed and Kaylie immediately stopped and attended to her. I highly recommend Kaylie!

My daughter had her ears pierced by Misty at Fat Kat last weekend and it was a wonderful experience. Misty took her time with her and explained everything she was going to do. She was so thorough with her measurements to make sure they were perfect on each side. Everything at Fat Kat is so clean and sanitary. Misty was great about giving us after care instructions. When it was all over my daughter was so happy. She had been to one of those piercing shops at the mall and said she’ll never go back there. This is where she’ll get any other piercings because it was such a wonderful experience. I highly recommend Fat Kat for any piercings you want. Misty is the BEST!

The tatoo artist was nice and understanding to pain.

Highly unprofessional, came in as a new customer. Checked in, sat down and waited. I saw one of the staff talk to a walk in and said come right on in while 5 other people left the building. To add insult to injury, I waited 20 min getting bit by bugs, which they could clearly see outside of the windows just hoping someone would come out and tell me how long the wait would be. From picking up the phone to the dirty looks while checking in, all I got was rude service all around. I think the one thing they should remember is that you never know who will be walking in no matter the color or age. I was really disappointed.

My appointment was for a re-piercing of a tongue that had closed up. The piercer stated she would not need to mark the spot for the piercing because she would use the previous holes, and only warned that it could possibly bleed a little more because of the scar tissue shed be going through. She bruised the tip of my tongue with the clamps, and made a new set of holes: the top being right next to the original, and the bottom hole being at a higher diagonal angle that nearly hit one of the big veins in my tongue. I had to take it out the next day because of the pain, and the bruising didnt go away for 4 days.

I made an appointment for a piercing and was running 10 mins late due to traffic. I made a courtesy call to them to let them know. Didn’t seem like it was too much of an inconvenience being that they only have one piercing room which is a bit of inconvenience to clients in my opinion; plus it was already occupied when I got there. I showed up introduced myself & checked in. Another young lady walked up right after me to get her piercing fixed. She was told she would have to wait.. I thought they were saying she had to wait until they finished with me because ... well I had an APPOINTMENT! I sat there for 30 mins while they took 2 other WALK-INS before me. I just chose to leave because I DO NOT CARE how small of a task it is, if I made an appointment for a service and you take a walk-in before me that is SO unprofessional and disrespectful. I honestly only gave 2 stars because the shop looked clean but that is literally all that I have nice to say.
