My friend’s car broke down and turned out she needed a new battery. Took it here as they had great reviews and were down the street from where her car was. They were able to fit us in same day and fixed it quickly. Really nice guys and they have a dog that greets you upon arrival! Highly recommend.

Last week I had my first experience with Otto Motive. I had concerns about the brakes, foggy headlight lenses and the hydraulic lifters for the rear hatch on my Highlander.Michael, Jason and the mechanics were very professional, friendly and even went the extra mile to contact a headlight lens restorer and scheduled for the work to be done at the shop prior to the brakes being diagnosed. They could have told me I needed all four brakes replaced but after inspection, they recommended just the rear brakes - saving me a couple hundred dollars. But they weren’t done. While test driving for the brakes, the mechanic noticed a slight alignment problem. Jason, the owner, put the Highlander on the lift, noticed a slight toe-in problem - and made the adjustment. Problem fixed!!Sadie, the shop customer relations expert, is a beautiful fox red, yellow lab with a wonderful personality and disposition. Dog lovers should visit Otto Motive just to meet Sadie!I highly recommend Otto Motive. If you’re not totally satisfied, no problem. Just go back to your previous shop or dealer.I support the good, honest, hard working small businessman.

Im very impressed with the communication, atmosphere, and reliability of the guys at Otto Motive. I am the daughter of a super mechanic who lives in Michigan, so I take hiring a mechanic very seriously. I just recently moved back to the Jacksonville area and was concerned about finding a good diesel mechanic for my Duramax. With not sure where to go, I put a post up on Facebook to other Duramax owners and Otto Motive was recommended from someone who has been using them after their new truck warranty was up at the dealership. Otto Motive has provided excellent service for multiple vehicles I own including my 1966 Ford Mustang. It is always nerve wracking taking vehicles to have work done, or even simple oil changes, to new places but Otto Motive has proven to be exceptional in service and knowledge.

I would recommend OTTO MOTIVE to anyone 10000 times over. These guys are so honest, I took my car in for noise in the rear of my car, they diagnosed as suspension and called me to get the go ahead for the parts $500plus... I said yes, then they ordered parts and still heard the noise and realised it was a latch on my back seat making the noise. So instead of charging me for parts they ordered and all the time they took they just charged me for the oil change I had requested as well. I was blown away with how honest and nice these guys were. I will certainly be using them in the future. Hard to find honest mechanics anymore. These guys are 💯 it.

We just moved back to Jacksonville. This shop is beautiful and the staff were friendly and helpful! They took the time to help me understand what was going on with my vehicle, the scenarios that they may find, and made sure that we dont have any surprises with the scenarios that may be found. During conversation, I could tell that the staff direct their customers as though they are friends or family. No pushing to fix every part possible, just the ones that they truly feel need repaired or replaced. Each of the guys seemed truly passionate about what they do, and the cars they were working on. Its so nice to be comfortable with a shop handling my vehicle. We will be using them for a long time!

I recently moved to the JAX area and was looking to get someone to check out the Kia I recently bought and was having problems with. I came in after work and they got right to work taking care of my car. They also were great in letting me know what was actually going on with my car. My sister has also had a great experience with these guys and we definitely wont be bringing our vehicles anywhere else for anything that they dont do in house.

The Otto Motive team did some work on my wifes 10 year old Jeep. In addition to fixing the exhaust issues, they were straight forward, honest, and reasonably priced. They gave me an accurate timeline on when the Jeep would be finished and texted updates throughout the process. I’ll never go to anyone else. I drive a 1991 Chevy G20 6.2 Diesel Van, that also happens to be my home. I drove around with the dog box off for two months because every mechanic I brought it to couldn’t figure out what was wrong. It took Jeff at Otto Motive just a few hours to figure out nothing was wrong with the engine, glow plug system or anything of the other array of things that everyone else thought was the cause of my issues. I had my home back the next day.They’re honest, clean, thorough, knowledgeable and LOCAL.

Air conditioning issues can have a snowball effect costing a lot of money. Otto Motives team was thorough and methodical in diagnosing and repairing our vehicle in an efficient manner. Cost was fair and communication was great.

Full disclosure. I have known Jason for over 20 years.My Mother In-law’s Jeep started to have A/C problems. I suggested for her to go see my Buddy Jason over at Otto Motive. Most of the time I do not recommend my friends to work on any of her projects. Let’s just say she is a picky person who always seems to think she has been taken advantage of or done wrong in some sense. I started to get worried after getting an update from her that the guys could not find the problem with her A/C on the first day. My first thought was geez I funked up, sending her to a friends shop. Then later the next day, my wife informs me with an update:Jason fixed the small A/C issue and went through the entire Jeep. He told her it was good to go for another 30k miles with no worries. She went on to say how much of a professional and nice guy Jason treated her.

I had let it get to the point that all 3 of my motor mounts needed replacing, plus a new oxygen sensor - in and out in 1 day. I highly recommend Otto Motive for your car maintenance and repair.

They were very friendly and were able to get my work van in the next day and first thing in the morning. They completed the service of 2 new tires and an oil change while I waited. Would recommend for sure.

After searching for somebody that gives a good alignment for so long I was referred by a friend to these guys. This car has never had a decent alignment and they gave me the best alignment I could ask for with my setup. Great service and auto shop. Very knowledgeable and works well to accommodate the customer. I work your standard 8 to 5 job. Can drop off before they open and has a dropbox for keys and notes, then they will call you with an update. Picked up after hours the first time I used them. Second time they worked with me to find best deals parts needed. VERY fast and dependable work. Dropped my car off and was finished next day when I didnt expect to have it back for 2-3 business days. I wasnt even ready to pick it up so they kept it in the shop until the next day for me to get. Staff is awesome.

I was told by my long time mechanic that my Ford F150 had a blown head gasket. My new neighbor is co-owner of Otto Motive and offered to take a look to confirm the diagnosis. Come to find out it did not. After some testing it was determined that it needed a few minor things and now is running better than ever. Honest people.

I usually dont let other mechanics work on my personal vehicles but after having front end issues on my firebird I couldnt figure out i took it to them. I went here because my car was acting up and I thought it had something to do with the brakes but once I got here, Jason, who worked on my car told me that my brakes were practically brand new still. He could have just said nothing and let me pay for a $200+ brake job I didnt need. He also discovered that Discount Tire had three of my tires way out of balance even though they allegedly balanced them a week before. Its very obvious Jason knows what hes doing. Highly Recommend

Great customer service! Mike and Jason are honest and super helpful. They won’t tell you you need anything you don’t really need and won’t recommend doing any work that isn’t necessary. That said, if you want to upgrade to performance parts, they will also give the best recommendations for that as well. They really listen to their customers and aacommodate your needs.

Ottomotive is the place to go for auto repair and maintenance. I needed a noise fixed on my car, not only did they replace my belt, but found some bad pulleys that would have caused my belt to wear quickly. The car was fixed in a very timely manner.
