Living in Japan, Daiso was my go to store for cheap, well made products for the home. I missed it so much when we moved back to the states and was taken quite by surprise when we found several stores when visiting Dallas over the weekend. The store was just like the ones in Japan with many of the same items for sale. My biggest gripe and the reason for 4 stars was the lack of snacks and drinks they had for sale. The shelves were pretty empty as well.

Daiso always has a great Vibe to it; Cute things. The Store runs at cheap prices with a slight Import price tacked on. So: it has a conversion chart showing their prices, Wich will be slightly above the direct conversion between Japanese and American currency.Nothing costs more than 12.99, and most items are 3 or less, with an exception to snacks and drinks. Its very clean inside, and well organized! And it seems like, between visits, there is a slight rotation of new items! :) They had camping things today that I didnt see before.Tldr: a Great store, a nice experience and a cool Cultural exchange. The items are always cute and the store is clean.

This store is awesome! It is very eclectic & has a lot of useful items & some items will leave you wondering 🤔. Everything is from Japan everything is written in Japanese so you have to look on the signs to determine the price. Very easy to do. This store has something for everyone & stuff you didnt know you needed. Food, gadgets, cosmetics, home goods ect... Go check it out! I bet you wont leave empty handed!

Similar to a Dollar store except much better unique, quality products and from Japan.Almost all the items are exactly $1.50 for things youd expect to pay upward of $5-$8 at anywhere else, some few special items are specially marked and range from $2.50 to $10Again, surprisingly unique, creative, new inventive type items you cant normally find over here in USA. I went in expecting to look around and ended up finding 20 or so items I use almost daily around the house and only spent ~$40 total.Everythings even packaged in Japanese packaging still. Posted a picture of some of the things they sell. Everything shown in the pics was $1.50

This place is definitely a treasure. They have a lot of great items at really low prices. This last visit I picked up 10 trash bags for $1 and a sleeping mask for $1.50. Most items in the store are $1 or $1.50, with the maximum price generally at $4-$6. They have a lot of really cool and unique items that are hard to find at other “value stores” like nice fussy socks. They do have a no return policy but I have never bought anything from them that I wanted to return. They take our US dollars along with Japanese Yen in case you have any. It’s a gem and worth checking out next you are in the area.

This is a store where you can get things for $1.5 as a base rate. items which are not tagged with any code are considered to be $1.5. you can get gardening pots and other things related to gardening in a cheap rate. you will find variety of Pots in different size. kitchen dishes with ceramic and glass are also available. you can find lot of things here but i use to buy gardening related stuff. I recently bought a shower curtain which was not in the quality for the price they tagged. I got a winter muffler few months ago which was very worth for the price. I bought a cycle pump for just $3, works well.but other than that things are not good which they made for $1.5.Toys and electronics sections are not good for the price they have mentioned. recommending for Kitchen and gardening....

If you are ever around the area, you HAVE to come here. Everything inside the store is very affordable, since this is a dollar Japanese store. Everytime I come here I ALWAYS end up buying something. They have products that range from cute little decorations to kitchen, bathroom, and car necessities. They also have these cute squishies for anyone whos a fan of them. This place is a must to come to, and would recommend Daiso 100%.

Wide selection of very cute stuff including San-X characters. The only downside is the very rude, older lady having a bad night. Right after they made a closing announcement at 8:45 she started shouting across the store that they were closing. I asked her where something was so I could get out of her hair as it was the last thing I needed. As I was following her she repeated herself and I apologized and told her I understood. She said curtly, No you dont. And muttered something else under her breath. I think something akin to me still being there. I can understand just being generally annoyed, I was there right before closing. But rude comments like that are completely uncalled for. She even bossed the cashiers around, demanding them to make another announcement on the dot. I was already walking out the door. Very unpleasant experience. Definitely make sure youre out of the store 15min beforehand if you see her. At least the cashiers were nice.

This location has great service, people are generous and try to help as much as they can. For the items there, there are very good products at a low price. Some items are over $1.50, however, the prices are still very reasonable. I go here a lot, even with the whole pandemic going on. If I go there, I spend about 30 to 45 minutes because I get lost in the wonderful products they have to offer. I highly recommend going here if you’re looking to treat yourself or to gift someone who loves cute little items!

I like Daiso products and frequently shop at the Carrollton location. However, Friday evening(8/21/20) I shopped at the North Irving location since I was in the area. It turned out to be a bad decision. The sales person who rung me up, Cathy was very rude and provided poor customer service. ( I am sure if she gave me correct name. She is Asian girl.) I was purchasing some fragile porcelain plates and cups and wanted to make sure they would not break, so I asked her if she could use wrapping paper to wrap them in before putting them in the bag. She said they did not have any wrapping paper and proceed them to put them into a single plastic shopping bag. I explained to her that I was afraid they would break, and asked if she could wrap each one individually with a bag to help cushion them. She rudely replied, What? and continued putting them into a bag without anything to cushion them as I had asked. At that time, I asked her for a bag for each item and I proceeded to wrap each one item myself. I felt that it was poor customer service and I asked her if I could talk to the manager. Cathy then said she is the manager and said that they are not going to do anything and then angrily yelled and said, Pay!. I had spent my time shopping for the items and love shopping at Daiso, and did not want the experience with one rude person to waste my time, so I just paid for the items. I talked to another staff member to explain what I had experienced and asked her who was the big boss, and she told me that it was Cathy, at which point Cathy laughed at me and said to me, Now she realizes it. At that point, I just left and decided not to confront her rude and unprofessional behavior. This is really unacceptable and poor customer service.

After years in Korea, where these stores are popular, I was so glad to see this store. Walking in was a blast of nostalgia at the oodles of trinkets, household goods, and other eclectic offerings. I was also amazed that despite NOT being close to Japan, the items for sale remained generally always in the $1.50 range. It is also much cleaner, brighter, and better staffed than youll find at any other dollar-store-type establishment. If you want high-end luxury goods, dont look here. The Chinese/ Asian origins lady that seems to be the manager is extremely rude. I have come here before and her lack of customer service skills is amazing but this time was even worst. I went to the store, was completely distracted and forgot my mask in the car -my bad- and this awful woman intercepted me in a very aggressive way and yelled at me you need to leave now!!! Without even respecting social distance or anything, she was like 2 feet away from me and I personally believe she was right in telling me to wear my mask -which I use 100% time I am outside- but the awful and aggressive way she did it was completely wrong and disrespectful. I will report this place for sure.
