I purchased a Napoleon 500. I was actually looking for something else in the same brand but upgraded to the larger grill because the price was so good and recommendation from the sales associate.The transaction and delivery was very smooth. The grill was delivered a few days later and it is awesome.

Love the fact that this store is within 4 miles of my house. Their frozen colossal shrimp is the best. Marinate the shrimp in Goya Mojo, wrap a slice of bacon with a slice of Jalapeño (use a toothpick to hold it). Grill til bacon is done. Amazing

Morgan at Texas Star Grill Shop really went above and beyond for us! We recently purchased a new Big Green Egg from the store which was delivered the day after it was purchased. The whole transaction went smoothly with great service all around except the grill cover that came with the large egg turned out to be meant for a smaller grill. We called the shop just before closing time and Morgan immediately offered to deliver the correct cover that night. He showed up as promised and made sure the grill cover was a fit before leaving- this was at close to 7:00 PM. Such remarkable service!!! The guys at the store in West U are very knowledgeable in all aspects of their trade. Service was and continuously is outstanding. Among other things, we bought a grill and upon delivery there was a mark on the hood from bad packaging at the factory. The delivery team did their best to polish it, however, a day later it was still very visible. Upon my email regarding the matter the GM called me within hours and had a replacement in my backyard the same day. My new go to place for bbq supplies! They have an excellent selection of spices, rubs and brines priced way cheaper than any grocery store. They really saved the day having Butchers BBQ Prime injection and are conveniently open on Sunday which is amazing as I do most of my cooking on the weekends. They even have a great selection of wood chips and chunks and post oak in bulk at an amazing price. All the employees were knowledgeable, friendly and willing to help and the store is huge and very clean and organized. They have tons of traegers and kamado grills if thats your sorta thing but had a great selection of Weber parts and accessories which is exactly what I needed. If you need gear for your cook, swing by and visit Ceasar and his team, they know their stuff and have everything you need at great prices.

Wandered into Texas Star Grill and had a GREAT experience. They have a wonderful selection of grills and accessories for gas, charcoal and ceramic grills. I like shopping at specialty stores because the level of customer service and product knowledge of their sales professionals is so much better than big box stores and TSG did not disappoint. My sales pro Gus was was not only incredibly helpful but had a deep knowledge of Kamado Joe grills. Guarantee Gus and TSG will be getting my business going forward.

Last week I called these guys to buy the Pitts and Spitts Maverick 1250. I was lucky enough to get one that was coming in on a truck in a few days. Sure enough 3 days past and I get a call to schedule delivery for the next day!! When the gentlemen showed up with the pit he let me know that Pitts and Spitts did not send the meat probe with it and they would call me when it arrived. They called about 5 days later and said they had my temp probe and would be delivering it to me in person!! Thats awesome service!! I would have been happy if they had just stuck it in the mail. This is why Im a repeat customer!!

David and other support at Texas Star Grill Shop helped me out of a time-line issue I had. I needed stainless steel cabinet doors, drawers and trash-bin for a big patio/outdoor kitchen construction project with a tight timeline. They went above and beyond to insure that I received my stuff quickly. David kept me informed as promised and I had all the stainless items in-hand in less than a day.Also, I purchased a fancy gas grill that I wanted the burners configured a specific way and David figured out a way to make it happen. They are holding this for me will deliver and “drop-in” the grill when the granite counter top is finally installed. Try and get this level of service and communication from mail-order Amazon or BBQ Guys. They beat their prices also.These guys are top-shelf with a can-do attitude.

Brick and motor store so much better My recent experience buying a Traeger Grill from Amazon was bad. Did my reviews and bought a new PRO34 grill. First day using the auger came loose due to poor design of the cotter pin. Was difficult to remove auger. Took several efforts to resolve. At first thought it was plugged. Not the case. Use 2 differ cotter pins to fix. However the controller was damaged even following instructions. Discuss this with salesman David from Texas star. The model sold to me from Amazon was a old model which Traeger quit selling. The one I bought PRO780 had wifi, much improved auger with a reverse for unplugging with a stronger motor. The new model had a variable speed fan. Was having to spend an additional $100 to attache a wifi. Brick and mortar stores are so.much better. Able to talk to a knowledgeable salesman!

This is the best shop/store that sells grills in Houston. Notice how I didn’t say grill shop. Because I want to be clear that I am comparing this place to any store that sells bbq equipment. This includes Home Depot, Lowe’s, Ace, target, etc.... If you are looking for a grill or any other bbq equipment including ribs, glazes and even meat, please don’t go anywhere else. You will not receive anywhere near the quality of customer service, the fair prices, or wide selection of equipment anywhere else. I recommend asking for Jared if you have any questions, but that doesn’t mean any of the other staff isn’t helpful. Everyone is so smart and willing to go out of their way to help you. We visited today (Saturday) and they had some free beer for their customers from their sponsor (Saint Arnold’s). Even my wife had a great time, and thats really saying something. Do yourself a favor and just stop in with an open mind. You might spend money or you might not. But you will definitely leave feeling like an appreciated customer.

Wanted to move to a pellet grill. So many options out there. It was very nice to speak to someone who knows instead of whoever happens to be on shift. Gus was reaponsive, passionate about product and provided much better experience than buying from big box or online. Free delivery in Houston was nice and had it to me within a day.

If you are a grilling junkie like me, you need a place like this to get your fix. I did not buy my BGE here but I do come here for all of my accessories. The staff is passionate about grilling and smoking. They get me. They understand my needs. And they dont pressure me or hover when Im just looking around and dreaming. They have a great assortment of spices and marinades, and if youve got a question, someone there has an answer. Stop in and walk around sometime. I think youll like this place.

I can’t say enough positive things about Texas Star Grills. Id give a higher rating if that were possible.I’ve been going there for several years to get BBQ accessories and previous grills. I recently decided to upgrade for a substantial unit. Texas Star Grills gave great advice. Unfortunately, due to some user error and a design flaw (in my opinion) the grill overheated and melted the wiring in the unit. I went back and forth with the manufacturer and wanted to restore the unit without paying an arm and a leg (it was a bit my fault, but it was also only a couple of months old) Regardless, while the manufacturer did anything BUT step up to the plate, Texas Star Grills did. My salesman there, Gus Johnston, was awesome, advocated for me and ultimately went to the shop owner who, unasked, replaced the entire unit, no questions asked. That is a company that stands behind their products and FOR their customer.Not only do these guys know all there is to know about BBQing and Grilling, but they are a friendly place to shop AND provide incredible customer service…the kind of service you don’t see much anywhere these days.SHOP HERE FOR ALL BBQ, GRILLS AND ACCESSORIES!!

Had to replace a 10 year old Cal Flame propane grill 32. Checked all the online reviews. Delta Heat came in first. Then I checked sources and Texas Star was the best value with the best price.
