This was our first trip to HAB. Everyone was very friendly and helpful, the cars were clean, and they were up front with details and information on all of them. We already had financing, so I cant give any details on how that goes, but they had several customers that did finance with them that had come in while we waited. They provided us with refreshments also. They were very hospitable, all around. We dealt with Eli, and should we have the need, we will deal with him again!

First of all wanna put me in a salvage car then tell me I can switch my car out when I like something new. Didn’t happen. 3rd single parent of 5 children recently lost my job. Payments are on Sunday when CLOSED don’t get my last paycheck on Tuesday 6/25/20 which is TODAY. When I spoke to ladies yesterday and told them I was coming in today. Still sent out repo. So I call owner he ain’t trying to hear me out he just told them to take my car away. Wants me to pay $500 plus my car note. So basically I just lost my car.

I usually like to wait before writing an review about a dealership , so its been 5 months since I bought the car , and things have been good motor and transmission wise, now in the 1st week of buying it my battery and starter went out , which I was a little upset since its an 2010 , an 9 yr old SUV I knew some work was going to eventually happen , my husband told me that there was no way of knowing when stuff like that is going to go out , thankfully , Houston Auto Broker put my husband on an payment plan where he paid %50 up front and the rest added on the loan , the manger Evelyn was very helpful as soon as I called she scheduled us in , my husband reminded me it is an use SUV and there no warranty , so I was very thankful for the payment plan , the payments I have are $154 bi weekly and I will pay off in two years , the whole process took us 30 min , they dont run credit but did ask us for certain docs , its a pretty easy going dealer they want there payments on the day due , I noticed once we made it past the 5 payments on time they gave us a couple days grace period , for the most part we got a good deal and affordable , I highly recommended Houston Auto Broker , thank you for working with us FYI sales is really laid back Eve took her time showing us SUVS in our budget

I bought my car in August and had a great experience, the staff was really friendly and sales was very easy going, my AC went out a few weeks of purchasing and the ladies in the front helped me out with the service process, I paid some repairs up front and the rest added in payments which help me a lot since I’m a single mother, I really appreciate Houston Auto Broker service I was turned down everywhere since I have bad credit and only had $1,000 down but this place helped me get into a car with affordable payments I only pay $154 biweekly, I’m currently waiting for income taxes to upgrade , I highly recommend this place it’s not a stereotypical big dealership and they don’t wear suits they dress very casual and don’t try to put you into the most expensive car at the lot , they were very open and honest and didn’t try to sell me something I couldn’t afford , they worked with me on my payments but we’re really blunt they take there payments on time very seriously and if I ever needed more time to make a payment to call In to get an extension and not wait to last minute which I can understand since it’s in houseThe only negative feedback I have is there is very little parking and it gets really crowded and the dogs seem to seat in the middle of the office which is kinda annoying since there’s not a lot of room when making payments

I have purchased a car here before and I can certainly attest to the other reviews that a lot of their cars here are absolute garbage. Every now and then they will get a good car that needs just a little TLC but that is very rare. About 4 years ago when I went Kris and Phil were really cool and honest about the car I spent $1500 on. Mark on the other hand is one pompous a-hole who is only interested in being a playboy that sells semi reliable cars. Here is the thing, Houston Auto Broker like many other side street used car dealers purchases their cars from auto auctions for little to nothing. These cars can range from good to horrible. You might even get a flood car if you are that unlucky. The best thing to do is to do your homework before going to places like this. Check under the hood, the underside and everything else. Ask questions and if you are completely not sure get a professional vehicle inspector to come with you. If they get an attitude there, then that means that they have something to hide. Hope this review helps.

I spoke to Eli after I spoke to a really rude lady, I ask about a vehicle they have for sale. I am based in Switzerland and looking bto buy my girlfriend a car, I ask about service history and was told we dont know it, look it up yourself. Rest assured I shall not return.

Great used car lot! I know there are some bad reviews which I guess is to be expected with any car place and especially since this place gives second chance financing. I couldnt get financed elsewhere and they worked with me, even letting me defer some of my down payment. I got a Toyota Highlander and after a few months of payments they let me trade into a bigger SUV with not much more of a down payment. Recommendation: pay your note on time and they will have your back.

Beware of As IsI should have followed my first instinct.So i found a 2006 Ford Mustang at Auto Broker after long lasting search..It had no A/C, no Radio, no E brake, leaking brake fluid, Transmission slipped out of 2nd gear, Left Front Fender paint did not match the original color but the engine ran perfectly. The owner of the business assured me that there was nothing else wrong with the car and it was well taken care of.$5000 dollars later Im still trying to make repairs to the lemon that was sold to me.Thanks Auto Broker

First of all,the owner does not know,how to buy cars! Actually,its my fault,for not taking the car to my mechanic,before I purchased the car! My car,was all nice on outside! The inside,motor and transmission went out in a month! The employees that work there,were rude and obnoctious!!!

This place is a Godsend!!! For anyone reading these reviews looking for an honest opinion. Let me give it to you. Ive been dealing with HAB since November of last year. I found my dream car and purchased it (Dodge Charger!). Yes Used and As IS, just as the huge sign in the office states. the car soon had problems, that I truly couldnt afford. Mark took it back and worked out a fair payment arrangement to repair it. I paid on time, every time. This is the difference between the positive and negative reviews you see. Be responsible and Honor your legally binding contractual agreements, and HAB goes above and beyond to keep you on the road. They do it for me, my friend and co-worker who referred me, and countless others I meet when I visit. I honestly dont plan on ever buying a car from anyone else.

If I could give a no star I would. They sold me a piece of junk from the start. Engine light came on on the way home from buying it.drove it straight to a shop. Had a blown head gasket. I call tell them nothing from them I told them to pick it up Im out all my money I put down and they also wanted a payment. Never got to drive it . Stay clear of them. They are crooks!!!!

These people are thieves they took my money after they asked me to pay for the tow fees that they took the car, i paid the insurance and the car note that was asked for an extension they gave and they still wouldnt give me the car back. I went to get my things that they had and asked them to call the manager to see if the guy would give me my money back after they lied and said if i paid the money i could get the car back and the guy wouldnt even answer any of my request and the young lady is VERY RUDE AS THE OTHER CUSTOMER SAID. She is and she wasnt taking to the owner she was talking to the so called manager but it was the other female that works with them. Liars and thieves! Worst place I’ve bought a vehicle from. I noticed even previous employers Genesis (which rated them) and her cousin who no longer works for these thieves have a very negative outlook of this horrible place! They illegally repo my car so they can get more money out of me! They did it twice the first time charging me $1500 to get it back. First off the owners daughter was driving it around prior to me purchasing as her regular transportation. The day after purchasing the check engine light came on, so I’m believing the computer was reset. I called they stated they no longer worked with the shop that they promised I would get a discounted price just the day before. Considering it was an Audi Q5 and I just gave them a large down payment, I wasn’t financially able to repair anything at the moment so I wasn’t able to continue driving it until I was able to get it checked out while I was continuing to make payments bi weekly. The first time, they stated I was late when in fact I wasn’t they had a diff due date in the system then in the contract. Once I paid them $1500 after leaving me my son and nephews stranded. The owners daughter asked me for the key to bring it around when she brought it to me, my son’s iPhone 8 was missing. I immediately said something about it but of course it was denied and unfortunately the phone wasn’t locked so she was able to turn of the find my phone... the second time I gave them a post dated check before leaving to Cali upon returning the next day I took it out of the garage and went to a family gathering when I was getting ready to leave the gathering I noticed it was gone! They claimed they weren’t allowed to take post dated check but the supposedly Asst manager ensured me it was okay at the time of dropping it off. Most embarrassing thing they could of done. I honestly was tried of dealing with them so I didn’t even question them. I simply asked to get my stuff out of the vehicle and the unprofessional owner started yelling at me threatening me to put me in jail for trespassing. I left called the cops and had them to escort me to gather my belongings. They still refused to allow me to get my stuff stating they would get it. When they brought me my stuff, I was missing my Tom ford sunglasses, all my makeup valuing around $500 and my sons hearing aides. They lied and said it wasn’t in there. They should definitely be held accountable for the things they do. I’ll put it in the hands of God and let him handle it. They will pay the consequences for their actions!

Called and asked for an extension for 3 days and came out with a pymt for an extension. Which was accepted but then again the young girl that works there came out with an attitude problem and disrespectful talking about there is no special treatment for a late fee, i said u are not professional working in an car lot atmosphere they need to learn how to deal with people, i work with lawyers all day i am very professional and civilized i wouldnt recommend this place at all so un professional

They have good quality cars for the prices they are, I just dont like the fact when I asked for my payments to be moved to the exact days I got paid just so that it would be more easier to pay on time they said no. The lady said that I had to make two payments in head of time then it would allow me to be able to make the payments on my pay dates.

Wheres the negative stars?I bought a car from these people.Test drove it and bought it on the same day, along with driving 50 miles.Next day, not even 24 hours later.It over heated.Next day.I go to the store to buy drinks, not even a mile away.At the light, car turned off and hasnt turned on since.Payed $80 to a tow truck.Biggest waste of money and time.I wouldnt recommend this place to family and friends. Hell, not even to my worst enemies.

So me and my man bought a car here back in 2017 we be almost done paying it off soon , we put about $800 down which was cools cuz at tha time we were struggling and not be mention we was getting turned down everywhere since we have bad credit, this place helped us out a lot , however we did have to put some work and money in but my man said that’s normal since the car has over 197,345 miles, the staff is pretty straight forward with everything, they let us know up front the car as no warranty and once you sgin and drive it’s our responsibility no matter what expectations, the 1st night we drove off the battery and Alternator Went out I was piss off but thee persons at office helped us and order us a news ones at discount rate we had to pay up front for some cost then thee rest added on back of loan , main advice is to always stay in contact with dealer because one time we almost got repo because we were a fews days late, so thay don’t be playing when it comes to on time payments how’s Evers I did ask for extension ahead of time and the older hispinc lady helped me I think she be the main manager, I would give it 5 stars but the only negatives I have personally be having is thay don’t offer zero warranty and thay aren’t lenientIn giving you time to make car payment, these ppls will repo you if you three day s late wit no contact , I’m guna be upgrading into a newer car around income taxes and buying through them since I already have credit build with them

PLEASE take the reviews very seriously. I could write a few pages about the above and beyond disrespectful and unprofessional behavior from this company. This is by far the worst in-house finance in Houston maybe in Texas. The owner illegally repo’d my vehicle when me and my kids were at the zoo left us stranded. When I called to find out what was going on the lady told me he was upset that I didn’t pay my full down payment I was clueless as to what she was talking about. By this point I had the vehicle over two months. I put a deposit down that went towards my down payment prior to driving off the lot. Then when purchasing is when I paid the remainder. I have receipt for the full amount it was in cash. So obviously what happened was the lady I purchased it from stole my money. When I got there to pick up my vehicle he charged me $1100 extra making up charges and charging over the price stated in the contract for diff fees. I ended up paying it. They forced me to give them the keys or they weren’t going to return my car even after paying, so I hesitantly handed over the keys. They finally brought me my car, upon getting in I noticed I had serval items missing including my brand new iPhone and prescription medicine. Every time I would call in to make a payment they would tell me the amount for my note and then charge my card a higher price from what she told me, the only way I found that out is looking at my bank statement. These people are crooks and thieves I literally got tired of dealing with them and gave them back the car. I went in to make a payment the haspanic girl started copping an attitude bc I asked a question about the charges of fees in the contract that she didn’t know the answer to. So she start saying they were going to have to charge me $300 for the spare key I already paid them for. She called another lady on the phone which according to her was the GM which stated for me to pay the $300 or leave the car. She then refused to take my car payment so I left and they once more repo’d. I went up there to talk to the owner and he was very disrespectful saying I need to pay off the car if I wanted to keep it and that if I tired to get my stuff out of the car without giving them the keys since last time they stole my stuff. The owner started yelling at me telling me he was going to put me in jail. I had to call the cops myself bc I could no longer deal with them. I hope and pray they aren’t able to get over on anyone else!

DONT COME TO THIS PLACE. VERY UNPROFESSIONAL. SOLD US A CAR THAT BROKE DOWN WITHIN TWO WEEKS OF PURCHASE. TOLD US NOT TO TAKE IT TO A DEALERSHIP TO GET FIXED BECAUSE THEY ARE THE ONLY ONES THAT CAN WORK ON IT. THE HEAVY SET LADY WOULD NOT LET ME SPEAK TO MANAGER AND TOLD ME I HAVE TO USE THEIR INSURANCE INSTEAD OF GEICO.

I like the truck I bought but not worth the hassle. Specially since i havent had for more than 3 weeks. Ended up stranded because the driveshaft was on backwards, missing safeguards and ended up shattering the cast aluminum joint arm. The dealership s only help is way too expensive, towing and then repairs seemed way too much. Ended up cutting the driveshaft head and ordering a new one and using a Sub-Arc Machine and trim balanced myself. Vehicle was also giving an error code for a bad solenoid, I checked and it was missing it. If anyone is reading this and thinking of visiting, bring a mechanic, or obd reader. Check your vehicle for wobbly tires, the driveshaft, alternator, shock absorbers, rotors, and the frame. Check the vehicle history as well. Be careful fellow drivers and stay safe

The people are crooks. They sold me a car & by the time I got home the check engine light came on & the ac stopped blowing. I returned the next day where they refused to do anything. In the past 5 months of having vehicle it has been in shop 4 times. Alternator, blower resistor, new airbag suspension because the airbags popped & last was converters & muffler. They know they sold me a lemon & refused to make it right. Believe the reviews on here that say theyre awful!

Horrible place to shop wouldnt buy a flea a collar from them put down 2500 and the vehicle broke down in a week after calling and complaining that I had to pay $580 to fix it they assured me that I would have a week grace period on payment then repoed it the next night pay $500 to get it back plus $300 note for it to break down again in 2 weeks sad disloyal people

I will begin by saying that the dealer is very unorgainzed.When I initailly negoitaed the price of the vehicle myself and the broker agreed upon 1,000 down as the down payment. When I i go to pick the car up i called and then they changed the price of the down payment to 1295, nearly a 300 difference. They didnt know anything about the car. They advertised the milage, year make and model of the vehicle wrong. Its wasnt until i got the vin that tey corrected the errors. I proceeded to get the vehicle in which i put down 500 of the down payment amount to HOLD the car. I call the dealer and they were in the process of selling the car. The tried to talk me out of the sale so that they could sale the car to another buyer, a female that was crying as they say because she really wanted the car. Mind you these people have already taken my 500.00 to hold the car. The other buyer proceeded to fill out the paper work to buy the car that I had been going back and forth with this company about purchasing the vehicle since the previous day. Well, after they told they lady that there was already another buyer I went to get the vehicle. They expressed to me that they report to the credit bureau. In which know they dont becasue they are a BUY HERE PAY HERE place. The list goes on and on. They charged me 500 dollars after one week that i forgot to update my insurance and repossesed my car. They still havent gotten my car plates in. Im assuming that they didnt send off for them; its been nearly three months and I still have paper plates.My complaint is they are very unorganizedOne person says one thing and the other workers say another- No Grounds at allThey rip people out of moneyThey charged me 1300 down for a used 10000 dollar car and then wanted a payment after 10 day.I would not even bother sending them customers becasue they are HORRIBLE at ethics and keeping their word.I hope they cant sale another car after how theyve been treating people.

These people are COMPLETE theives. i just bought a car in december of 17 and they started lying to me from jump. They took my car becasue i forget to email them my insurance and come to find out the person i shared teh poilicy with canceled the policy. I quickly got insurance and after i provided they told me that if i paid the repo and update my payment that was only 5 day past due and i asked for and an extention and they aggreed, these hoes kept my 575 dollars and took my laptop and my possesions that were in the car. I called them repeatedly and asked for my money and they just kept hanging up. they talked me out of 1300$ down and then this. I hate them they are a bunch no good people and GOD sits hits but best believe he will punish you. your WHOLE STAFF is fraud and no compliant and on the same page with anything. They will do anything for a the sake of taking your money and get a fraud sale. They DONT REPORT TO THE CREDIT BUREAU! PLEASE This white guy and his hispanic team of fraud will beat you out of your money!

Do not buy a vehicle from here. These people are shady and have bad business ethics. They are not willing to work with you even during a rough time and are going to be a couple days late on payment. Know someone who had always paid on time or in advance for over a year,ended up having a family problem one month and even talked to them to try and work out paying their payment plus late fee all still within 7 days of being late. Didnt matter they still sent a tow truck to get it even after having talked to them. Only 6 days people!!

This was the first place I got a car of my own from that had my name on it. I was 19 and naive, and I will never be doing business with them or any other side-street used car place ever again (TL;DR version at the bottom).Back in January, I had put $1000 cash down on a 2000 Lexus RX300 that was in really good condition compared to the other vehicles that I had gone in and looked at. The left mirror didnt move too much, but that wasnt necessarily a problem for me, since I was the only person driving the car to and from my job at the time, as well as to take my younger siblings to school, friends houses, band practice, etc. My mom co-signed it with me so that she could help me with payments if needed (no job/temporary assignments last forever, unfortunately).Everything was fine up until May, when I basically ran out of money after my temp assignment ended and I wasnt receiving any new ones from my staffing agency. Of course, my card had declined, so I called up HAB and told them my situation, and that I didnt know when my next payment was going to be. The woman I spoke to said that they would work with me and, though there would be late fees for a few late payments, everything would have been fine. I got caught up, and everything was fine.A few weeks later, the car overheated. My parents and I figured out that the radiator was busted, and so we needed to replace it, which set us back about $140 for all of the necessary parts needed.I then got a new job in June. Then, on the way to my SECOND DAY, my car broke down about ten minutes away from my work (which was about forty away from my house). I lost my brand new job, and they had to tow it from a church parking lot to their business (it was a lot closer to them than my home was). I called multiple times for the following two or three weeks afterwards to find out what was wrong with it. I would call in, they would say theyd have the manager talk to me, and then Id never hear from them again. Keep in mind that this place is TINY, and it is a FAMILY-RUN business, so there is NO reason they shouldnt have had someone talking to me about what was going on for several weeks.As it turns out, the head gasket needed to be replaced, which was a $600+ repair with at least $350 up-front to pay the mechanic to fix it. As I had mentioned before, I had no job at that point, so I called them and told them that I couldnt pay for it right now, but I would at some point when I got a new job. They said okay and left it be, and my mom temporarily gave me permission to use her card to make payments. One week, they tried to take a payment from my moms card without asking me or my mom for authorization first. It wasnt until I called them very sternly and told them to take her card out of the system that they did so, even though they told me that they could only get a dollar out of it anyway.I finally got my current job on June 20th. At this point, my mom had made a few payments, and I had already told them about my new pay schedule, and they, again, told me they were willing to work with me. I get a call from them on June 29th, which was when my next payment was originally due, and I told them I wont have my paycheck until the following Wednesday (July 4th). The woman I spoke with acknowledged this and hung up, and then I got a call on June 30th basically asking for my money again. I told them the exact same thing that I told them the day before, and they said okay. Then, they called AGAIN the next day and asked for my payment. Again, they are a family-run business in a tiny office, so there is no reason they should have asked me THREE TIMES for a payment I said I was going to make at a later date yet.(TL;DR): These people dont communicate with one another, nor with their customers. They dont care if you are trying your best to make things work. If youre not paying them, even with a legitimate reason, you might as well be dead to them. Do not buy a car from here if you want stable communication and an understanding management.

These people are horrible. They do not correctly portray their charging practices. They lie. Their staff are horrible and disrespectful. Have some pride in your business, people! All of the thumbs down.

I bought a car from Houston Auto Broker, back in July 2015 and got my moneys worth. There service was great, had some nice secretarys helping us out and every thing went quick and smooth. Wish I could give negative stars.. I know a couple people that have been screwed over by these people. I have always made over payments and been on time.. Well when the POS they are selling me started breaking down 2 months in and completely that the car was accelerating itself... Not to mention the tire arms are needing to be replaced so I cant go the speed limit to the Cat Converters all 3 need to be replaced $2000 and they replaced the throttle sensor and didnt even tell me how much the repairs would be and they didnt even fix it correctly I was told by another mechanic when I took my car in because I thought the altenator was going out because my check charging system light and battery light kept coming on but that was when I found out about the Cat Converter issue...Plus when it rains I have a beautiful waterfall that comes from under the dash board.. I have communicated my new job situation and thought everything was ok made a pymnt last week to show im trying just to get cussed out without even listening to what I had to say or answer the ? of the repair charges.. Just cussing and threatening to sue me... I wish they would judge would probably rule in my favor $2800 in payments and about $5000 in repairs and whatever the Hell they are charging me for their incorrect repairs smh... yup still the charges are unknown

Sold me a car with multiple problems. Manager didnt return my calls when I had a brake burning incident. But I bought as is. Will not buy from them again though!

This is the worst car dealership in the state of Texas. They are all thieves and Crooks who sell broke down cars thatll leave you stranded on the side of the road. They are rude disrespectful and have no regard for customer service. I would never recommend this place to my worst enemy.
