I have been buying these candles for a while now. I was getting them at my local Walgreens which for me was very convenient over the years the price have went up a little bit but not substantially. They also do not carry them at my local Walgreens anymore but I did find the storefront where they sell them. Which is not a big big inconvenience.Walgreens was definitely more convenient for me but I like the candles so much that Im willing to take the drive to go and get them.Which is a hudge plus that they are local. I really like the scent Hawaiian Splash. It is my scent of choice. I have not found a scent even by big name brand candles companies to match these candles.It really lights up the room and the smell is very invigorating and it smells all throughout my home. Thats why I love that particular one. I havent found one to match that scent so I will keep buying it however for Mothers Day my daughter went in to purchase that one for me and they were out of them.Im not very happy about that. Maybe we should have went sooner I must admit. That is why I took off one star. I do love these candles and their scent so I will continue to buy them for as long as I can. Yay Me!!!!My daughter made the decision to get another scent for me and I am burning it as we speak but I do not like it. It is not the same as the Hawaiian splash. I can hardly even smell it or even if at all in my home right now. So whatever scent you find that you like from this distributor get that sent and stick with it. I only have one request just please dont let it be Hawaiian splash if you can. Lol!!!! I will return to ask for an exchange to get the Hawaiian Splash which I really want. I will see how that goes. I decided not to return the candle Im just going to keep it and I know which one to tell her to get next time. I wont inconvenience the distributor at this time with that or myself.as of late I also been liking the fact that I have been supporting small business so please go support this distributor. I think you would really find her candles to be of your liking and shes in the local area of H town if you live in Houston check her out please.

I bought 6 candles for $39 from here, which is an amazing deal! Way better than Bath and Body Works. I bought these candles as gifts to give to people. My boyfriend loved the scents sock it to me and black current, but honestly they have a lot of great fragrances. Hes already started using the candles, and he said the fragrance fills the room within 15 minutes! These are definitely high quality candles :) I also bought a car fragrance in crisp linen, and I love it - not too strong or overwhelming at all. Plus, everyone I interacted with at the store was super kind!! Love this place! Ill definitely be coming back!

One of my favorite candles by @simplyscentscandleco is Sock It to Me. Ever since my trip to Houston a few months ago, I have been wowed at how STRONG these candles are and how long they last. I kid you not, one 7oz jar fills my entire apartment. I definitely feel like these candles are worth it and I think you should try them out. Free pick up in store if youre in Houston and she ships across the US. I put everyone on, even my mama who was a faithful Yankee Candle girl. Give it a try! You will not be disappointed.

Great service. I picked up the candles while they were still warm. My car was smelling so good. 😊

The owner is rude. She called me when I first emailed stating I wanted a refund if my order wasn’t shipped in time. (Two weeks is enough time to wait.) When she saw the refund title she called me so nasty, it almost sounded like she wanted to fight me. Super crazy! From there, She’s been unresponsive. I received broken order and sent pictures less than 3 minutes of getting the package from my postal service, and still no response. Emailed multiple times and to no avail. Sadly, I spend about $150-$200 a month in candles because I LOOOVE candles but this won’t be it. I’ll stop trying to save money getting the 12 candles for $65 and continue shopping with De’Scent candles. BEST SMELLS even if they’re a little pricier. Also black woman owned. Won’t buy again.

I have a variety of these scents. My favorites are Angel Wings and Velvet. The jelly jars must be the best seller as they are always available, but the bigger sizes are limited at the store. I cant say I will stop buying my bath and body works candles, because these are the best to me but I will continue to get these as well.

My experience with Simply Scent Candle Co. has always been great. Shan is always so nice, and will make great recommendations based on your likes and dislikes. Her candles are better priced than anything from Target or Yankee candle and have a much better scent in my opinion.

They have the highest quality candles Ive ever used. The candles burn so evenly so there is absolutely no waste. The scents are stronger than other candles Ive used before but not nauseously overwhelming.

Simply Scents is a hidden gem in the heart of third ward. This is my go to for everything home/car scent related. Every candle and air mist is hand made, lasts long, and leaves your home/ car/ work space, smelling amazing! The prices are reasonable and customer service is exceptional! I spent $8 on room mist this visit. I am a repeat shopper, so Ill be back soon!

This is the best candle place in North America. The candles are very strong and its worth the price. Owner is an angel and they are eco friendly. They recycle the jars. Great deals!!!! I bought 12 candles for $55....what a steal!!! They smell really good in the jar. The owner reminded me several times to trim my wick and the importance of doing so. I enjoy patronizing black owned businesses! Once I burn all 12 of these, Ill be back for more. Oh and try the sprays because they are strong, long lasting and smell real good (hence the reason I have yet to burn 1 candle 😢). One spray lasts like 2 days...I kid you not! Will definitely be back!

They were very professional, very catering, and just did everything possible to make our party experience a great one. I highly recommend choosing the wine down party yo anyone looking to host a private event. Plus, the candle scents are phenomenal. Potent enough that you could even smell the beautiful aromas before entering the shop. Im so grateful for my experience here. My mother and guest thoroughly enjoyed the wine down party. It is a great place. I took my Mother and Mother-In-Law for the Easter weekend and they LOVED it! The music was spectacular and the BYOB is fabulous and allowed for our creativity to easily flow. The candle scents are superb and the prices are awesome! Now, the customer service is TO DIE FOR! Somehow, I left my purse in the store and the owner had closed up and headed for an evening out but was worried about me being without a purse and found one of her team members to meet me back at the shop at 11pm to ensure that I had my purse for Easter Sunday. I appreciated the serve e because what idiot leaves her purse.... THIS GIRL!!! So, I booked a party of 8 women to come back for Girls Night in May!

Such a wonder cool vibe type of spot/activity! My husband purchased this on Groupon for our anniversary night. We were extremely late & the event was at least 70% finish, but the owner welcomed us in with open arms, made room for us, and allowed us to participate and make best of the finish time that was left. It’s little things like that act of kindness that I will always cherish. What could of been a anniversary night of mishaps turned into a anniversary night of happiness! And the cherry on top was...the music was BANGING, the candles were smelling AMAZING, & the vibe of everything was right! We definitely will be returning soon!

Great shop with a fun atmosphere. I loved the wine glass candle design class I took here. My boyfriend found it on Groupon and I’m glad we gave it a shot. The owner made class a fun and completely different experience. The end result was seasonal, cute and smells fabulous throughout my entire home. My daughter purchased a 10 person party for my birthday for December 9th and I truly enjoyed the experience the owner was very attentive to me and my guest, everything was setup and ready upon my arrival she even had a table setup for me to put my finger foods and drinks, the shop was nicely designed and smelled absolutely wonderful not too overwhelming. Me and my guest enjoyed it so much so we plan on doing it again and I purchased a Groupon for one of my employees as a Christmas gift. I recommend everyone to try this spot especially with a group of friends even men I did it with my husband and 4 other married couples

I love my oils from Simply scents but the oils use to last, it seems to be a little thinner and burn really fast.
