I recently had the main objective lens literally fall off my Nikkor lens. I took the lens, objective, and rings to Professional Camera Repair. The lens was repaired, the objective screwed and tightened correctly in about 10 minutes while I waited. This saved me the significant expense of replacing the lens. I am very pleased with the service and the price was perfect. Given the little time it took to fix it up, I was not charged anything. Amazing! I had 6 cameras from my classroom that were inoperable. Within 20 minutes, he diagnosed the issues and labeled whether they were functioning or not. He didnt charge me to look at them and see if theyre working. Highly recommend and will use him for all future camera needs.

I am a novice that purchased a used but sophisticated camera. I was having issues with the autofocus. Houston Camera Exchange gave me a list of three local repair services. They were closest.Amazing place. You could tell the owner is a craftsman. Explained my issue and he looked at it immediately. He diagnosed that it was a software issue that could be resolved by applying the factory settings which he did, thank goodness. I appreciated his skill and not making me feel dumb for coming in. They have a $95 cleaning service that I will be using after returning from a photo tour in the West.

Awesome business! The owner is super honest and extremely well knowledged on all cameras. I brought in both my camera and lens after having issues with both and in less than 5 minutes he was able to tell me that both unfortunately had major issues but instead of trying to swindle me into repairing them he was totally honest with me and told me they were not worth repairing and I should just invest in new equipment. I made an appointment to have my camera evaluated for a problem I was having. Within about 5 minutes the camera was absolutely working perfectly after he reset it. I was skeptical of driving 1.5 hrs to come here but it was 100000% worth it. He is incredibly efficient, kind and professional. I brought in my Canon 70-200 lens to get fixed after it fell down some stairs- and was impressed by his knowledge and willing to help me out so I also left my Canon Mark IV to get a sensor cleaning and my Sigma 85mm to get calibrated and he did a phenomenal job. Unfortunately he wasn’t able to fix my 70-200 because the damage was more than expected, but I am completely satisfied with the job that he performed on my other two equipment. He is INCREDIBLY professional and nice. 10/10 would recommend!

Dropped camera, lens would not focus, brought it here on recommendation of a professional photojournalist. Expected to have to replace lens, but the tech took it in for five minutes and resolved the issue at no charge. I did not want to enter the shop because I am trying to limit contacts during the pandemic, and I had my young children in the car. He came to my vehicle and used all proper precautions - masks, gloves, etc. Great local business that is taking good care of their customers and the equipment.

Took my Canon G7X in because the record button would not work. They informed me that do not typically work on that camera but he said he would take a quick look. He was able to fix it in 2 minutes and charged me nothing. I will definitely take all of my camera repairs there.

THE place to go for camera repair in Houston. My Sony A6300 wouldn’t take the SD card anymore. Brought it here and it was fixed in a week and a half. Think that is a long time? I had an optic stuck in a lensbaby composer. Although the technician said hed never worked on a lensbaby lens before, he dropped what he was doing and dug into my problem. Repaired a 50+ year old Pentax that I had taken to multiple other camera stores over the years. The owner (I didnt get his name other than Baba) checked the contacts on my light meter and checked the advance mechanism. Works like a charm now! This camera was my Dads and has immense personal and shooting value for me. I asked about servicing since it has never had a cleaning and servicing and it is recommended every 4-5 years. This guy is a RACIST, very RUDE and ARROGANT, I am disable so I walked into the parking space to the front door of the store, rang the bell this guy opened the door didn’t allow me in even when I ask him if I can I sit because I tired I was so surprised that he refused maybe because I’m black. He can’t fix or repair any NIKON models, he can’t fix CANON LENS with ERROR MESSAGES or CANON CAMERAS with SHUTTER PROBLEMS or Any SONY model. I can’t recommend anyone to go there. Professional Camera Repair isnt just for camera repair! You should make this place part of your annual maintenance/cleaning process. I have had my cameras worked on by them ever since I have lived in the Houston area. Sensor cleaning makes a huge difference in the photos that you take. They have also done some extensive repair of some older vintage cameras that I own and shoot with. Excellent job. If you have never had the sensor on your DSLR or Mirrorless cleaned. I would highly recommend it.

I recently got into photography (< 1 month), and I was freaking out after I touched the front of my lens & the oil from my fingers smudged it. As a newbie, I watched several YouTube videos on the dangers of cleaning your lens improperly, so I decided a professional would be best. I called, and they said theyd clean it for free. This might not seem like a lot to some people, but that gave me peace of mind, and I WILL bring my equipment here in the event it needs more serious maintenance!

I am so pleased with my interaction at Professional Camera Repair. I own a Canon 7D and my flash was not popping up. I tried to fix it myself through YouTube videos but I ended up doing a little more damage to the camera than was previously done. Yasir assessed the damage, then proceeded to correct my mistake. He let me know what my options for fixing it were and what I should think about in the future. He then told me where to get other camera products that his store did not carry. Within 15 minutes I was out of there. These guys are very knowledgeable and super helpful and I will be taking all of my future inevitable camera issues to them.

They did a great job cleaning my camera, but what I appreciated most was that they didnt try to pressure me into anything. I had taken my camera on a beach vacation, and after reading all the online horror stories of salt-water and sand I was terrified if I didnt have the camera cleaned right away something would get ruined forever. The owner (owners son?) talked to me for 5 minutes, going over all the buttons and outside of the camera, before even suggesting doing the lens test to see if it needed cleaning. I agreed (was still paranoid), and it did show some spots, but even then he didnt try to talk me into cleaning it. I went ahead with it (third time, paranoid), but thought the cost was reasonable and the service was much faster than I expected.A week later I had a question about the camera, called back and left a message. The same gentleman called me back within 10 minutes, and not only answered my silly questions but did so with no condensation or frustration in his voice. Im not even that nice.They have a forever customer in me.

Totally awesome place. Yasser fixed my camera and lenses with a factory reset in 5 seconds. The Canon tech support people and factory repair center did not suggest this; rather THEY wanted me to pay $300 to fix my camera. NEVER EVER EVER use Canon tech support. One night, I was cleaning the lens on my camera. My nephew is in town visiting right now; he looked on with curious eyes. After walking away for 10 minutes, I returned to him attempting to clean my cameras SENSOR with a q-tip. I took the lens off and the body cap was on. The fabulous thing was, he was careful as he tapped, much like me tapping the rear of the lens to clean it. There was dust and q-tip lint all over it. Talk about MORTIFIED! I tried many attempts to blow it off with a rocket - nothing helped. There are several camera repair shops in Houston. I googled each one. After a careful search, I decided to use Professional Camera Repair in Houston, Texas. I was greeted the next morning by Yasir. He was a very polite guy, dressed in a black shirt with the Italian flag - black latex gloves. I proceeded to tell him of my delimma, but he tells me its okay. We did a quick check while I was there and thankfully the sensor wasnt scratched. He gave me the price and the turn around time, and I was on my way. I initially thought they were a little on the high end, but, hey, you pay for the best, right? I feel I paid to LITTLE for the job he did. I picked up the camera today and the sensor photo looked AMAZING! He even discovered an issue from the factory which he mentioned initially that thats probably what it was!I want to thank Yasir and his family so much for the services they provide. Ill definitely be using them from now on, and well into the future!If you need professional repair or cleaning for your camera, this is definitely the place to go!

Dropped my Canon T5i off last week Wed 6th of June.. they called me on Tues the 12th and it was ready.. photos look like it is a NEW camera! total cost 81.19 for a cleaning!

They have continuously been courteous, professional, timely, and hassle free.In 18+ years, their service has done well by me. Every pro shooter I know in Houston relies on PCR for their cameras and lenses as well.Ever so often something has to be factory repaired but at least PCR is honest enough about what they can perform for service.At one time I tried two of their former competitors. Those competitors are not longer in business but PCR is. It is obvious why.

Dropped of my camera to get repaired and got it back quick!
