Sayid (dont know spelling?) was very helpful! We went in at 1pm looking to repair our camera, and asked for an estimate. He said he could have it done by Monday, we told him we would be out of town since we are visiting houston. He said ok no problem I’ll have it done by closing. It was ready at 4pm! Very punctual, very professional, great service. Thank you

The owner Syed is kind, courteous helpful and refreshing. I had two different problems with my Nikon D7100 including a broken hot shoe and LCD screen. He was able to fix both in a few days for much less than I would have expected. Highly recommend Syed and his team.

Took double the amount of time. I was charged $10 more then what I was suppose to pay. Doesn’t even work. Very frustrating experience. Very sad and out $100. I would absolutely not recommend this place to anyone who wants actual help.

I had a bad experience at this place and ended up losing $400. The repair was for a high end Canon lens. After several trips back and forth I decided just to write it up as a loss as it was no longer worth my time. The owner will frequently not be in the store during posted opening hours. Save your money and go elsewhere.

Great experience. Walked in at 5:45pm, and they took care of my physically damaged Canon camera on the spot. It was repaired and ready to go by 6:00pm, and for an unbeatable price. I will definitely be going to them for all future camera related needs. 5 Stars!

The owner immediately told me no the moment I showed him my camera and he said “I don’t even want to look at it”. I accepted the no and I continued to ask “would you know anywhere else I could go?”, he continued to say the same thing, multiple times. I understand his refusal but he responded very unprofessional. The office is not kept clean and tidy, it’s extremely messy. Customer service needs to improve.

I own a Cannon G12, this camera model was discontinued a couple of years ago. I love this camera unfortunately a couple of months ago the screen broke. I called several stores including Best Buy and was told that they are at a 2 week backlog and no longer work on discontinued models. I was starting lose hope that it would get fixed when I called Camera Care Center and the owner told me he would attempt to fix it. Now only a day later my screen has been fixed and am more than happy with my experience. It was promptly fixed, had quality customer service and he was knowledgeable about maintenance for the camera as well as affordable.

I took my Nikon lens to the shop for repair and was thoroughly impressed with the service. The lens looked to be a complete loss but after about a few days time it was fixed and as good as new. Owner is very nice also.

After my cat knocked my 70-200 2.8 II is off a table and it broke I was desperate to get it fixed correctly and quickly, due to weddings I was booked to shoot in the coming weeks. I took my lens here hoping for the best and the best is exactly what I got. They fixed my lens for a fair price and had it back to me within 10 days. I only had to rent once while it was being repaired. The shop owner is very nice and a pleasure to do business with. Im not sure why this shop has so many 1 star reviews but in my experience it has been 5 star all the way. Thank you!!

I had a simple repair (replace a damaged focus screen) and am very pleased with the service. A new screen had to be ordered, which took about 4 days. I went back to the shop and my bad screen was replaced in about 10 minutes. Price was reasonable. I would use Camera Care Center again.

Its not only close to the middle of town, but fairly priced with services. I have had a couple Canon lenses and Canon bodies repaired with no issue. Ive also had little things done for free because they dont require time or much effort. Customer service is superb and repairs are done in adequate time.

Nice person, but horrible customer services. Doesn’t call when he says he will. I paid him in advance for a repair which he requested payment for... bad idea. After months of waiting I’m planning on popping in and demanding my cameras. I’ve worked with him before with no problems, unfortunately I’ll be taking my business somewhere else.

ZERO STARS. Yes, zero. I went in May and dropped off two cameras and a lens for repair. A week later I had not heard back so I called to get a price. Was given a price. I approved the work and was told it would be three weeks. I called back in mid-June and was told it wasnt done yet and to give them two more weeks.This went on a couple of times until I gave them an ultimatum and they promised the work would be done the next day. I took the afternoon off (Im a teacher) and drove into town to pick them up. THEY WERE NOT READY. They could not even find one of the cameras. He promised me he would fix them all and mail them to my school the next day.A week later they had not arrived, and he promised me he would bring them himself. He brought only one camera and the lens, and told me he would bring me the other lens as soon as the school paid the bill. I had cash to pay it! I was livid and told him that holding my camera hostage was no way to get bills paid (we are a big school district, BTW, and bills DO get paid). Tested the lens out that afternoon and IT WAS NOT FIXED. The other camera was fixed. I still do not have the first camera back nor have I received a revised bill with the cost of the non-fixed lens removed.DO NOT GO HERE. The owner forgets what he tells customers and then makes up what he thinks we want to hear.

Terrible business practices. They lie, cheat, and steal. Dont call when they say they will, lose pieces of equipment, and are exceptionally rude. Unless you want to pay twice what you need to and potentially not get your equipment back fixed or at all DO NOT GO HERE.

I called to ask about a very specific service, buffing a small scratch out of the lens. Was told to come in to have camera evaluated. I very specifically asked, TWICE, if that was a service that is even possible before I made the trip. Was told yes. I get there on a Friday and the owner is gone. Leave camera. One week later I am told to come get camera. When i get there the owner tells me you cant polish a scratch out of a lens. THIS WAS MY SPECIFIC QUESTION THAT I HAD ANSWERED OVER THE PHONE.

I have been a customer for 9 years and have always been happy with the service every time, the hour drive from Magnolia is worth it. The owner, a kind gentleman, who has always returned my equipment in a very short time. He once offered to loan me a lens while he worked on mine and has even fixed a few things while I wated and minor things for free! Oh he also has small collection of camera and lenses he sales. I highly recommend them only because if he woked on them they are in excellent working conditions.Be sure to let him know….. the photographer lady from Magnolia highly recommend him ;)

Brought my camera to get the sensor cleaned. Told me it would be done the next day. Show up the next day, camera was not ready. Come back again the next day, camera ready.I get home after work and start taking pictures and video and see that there are still marks on the sensor!!!I would stay away.UPDATE 04/05/2016 :I went back with the camera and was offered to get the whole sensor changed at no cost. I picked it up today and everything looks fine. It was a nice professional gesture.

He lies. He takes FOREVER! Youll drive all the way across town several times on a promise that it will be done this afternoon and itll never be fixed. I came in with a lens problem and he gave my camera an audio problem. Then told me that has nothing to do with the repair I made... Ugh. He took months on an urgent order that should have been done in 3 days. I definitely wouldnt recommend him at all.

I took a 17-55 canon lens to be checked out. They said it would be ready the next morning so I called to get the results the next afternoon and they did not not know what I was talking about and said they did not even have my lens. After being getting the run around for 15 minutes they said they found it and I could pick it up. At that point I ask them what the test results were and they put me back on hold for another 10 minutes. When they came back they said that the focusing motor was bad and it would cost me 600 to repair. I told them not to touch it and picked it up. I took the lens down the street to Professional Camera repair and the nice man there checked it out and told me there was nothing wrong with it. I was new to photography and it ended up being user error and the nice man explained to me what I was doing wrong. I used that lens for almost 2 years without a problem no thanks to the dishonest unprofessional people at this shop. STAY FAR AWAY THEY ONLY CARE ABOUT GETTING YOUR MONEY!

AVOID: SHOP AROUND to avoid being overcharged here!I was quoted $480 by the owner to repair the LCD display screen of an otherwise working Sony RX100M4, but he would not tell me the specific issue and what parts needed repairing. When I asked for more info he wouldnt tell me and said he didnt want the job and i should come and pick the camera up.I have since sent to Sony official repair, recieved a detailed breakdown of the issue and it will cost me $250 for full repair (including shipping).

Honesty is so important to me, and I felt like I was suckered! After reading reviews I decided to make the LONG drive to take my camera to be repaired. They were quick to get back with a quote to fix my camera close to $300.00. I decided to call Canon directly and see if the repair was covered by the warranty, it was. And even better than that Canon representative fixed my camera over the phone. It turned out to be an Auto Focus lens problem, not the problem they had told me it was. I will never go back!! And I can not recommend them to anyone!

I sent my camera into Canon and they wouldnt touch it because of the salt water damage. I went to Camera Care Center, and Syed said he would check it out. He gave me an honest quote, (he told me how much parts and labor were) and ultimately I decided to buy a new camera instead. Syed offered me a good price for my broken camera. I would go back if I had any other camera problems.

I was never called back with an estimate after dropping off a lens after I was told the estimate would take a day. I gave them plenty of time (a week or so) and then I finally called them to see what the deal was. They told me it would cost $800 to repair, which is basically the same price as a new lens. I sent it to Canon and the repair was less than half that price. The part that really bugged me was they gave me the lens back with NO rear-lens cap. I HAVE NEVER REMOVED A REAR LENS CAP IN MY LIFE other than to put a lens on a camera. They were ADAMANT that I gave them the lens without a rear cap on and after I explained that I would never do that I had to get angry and demand that they give me one before they would.Edited to add that multiple photography friends have had really horrible experiences here and one recently showed up to pick up her camera and the guy COULDNT FIND IT. HE LOST HER CAMERA. Avoid this place like the plague!

Scratched the low pass filter and blamed meI took a Canon 500D/T1i in for general cleaning, and instead had it scratched by these people. The day before I took it in I had shot some photos all day long, and after I took it in theres a massive scratch in the top right corner of every photo. I asked him if I wouldve seen the scratch in the photos and he said noLie after lie, this place is a joke, and not honest with there customers at all.

Those guys are not a serious at all, they lied to me every time I was in contact with them and they still have my cameraIf you are interested in the long story:I dropped my camera there mid August, they told me they would be able to fix it in two weeks3 weeks later, I was told they were running late but should be able to get it repaired within a few days, they never called.I call back several times to get update, nothing but the same excuses followed by its going to be ready soonI finally decided to stop by at the end of September, the guy was still not done and suggested me to come by a week later.October 10, I decided to get my camera wether it was repaired or not to take it to serious place. Of course it was not ready, but suddenly the guy was able to repair it within the night as I told him I was leaving the city the day after at noon. He asked me to be back a 10am.October 11, 10am: here I am, I front of the shop, facing a sticky note saying doctor appointment, back at 11:302pm I am back, the guys tells me he didnt think I was going to come back... I asked him for a discount as he kept my camera 4 times longer than initially planned, lied to me repeatedly about being almost done, had me stop by 4 times at the shop to not get the camera: he threatens to call the police.Tells him to go ahead, he offers a 10% discount.DO NOT GO THERE!
