It should not take two hours to do pads and rotors. My truck is still pulling to the right after the alignment. I wonder did they do my brakes right?

Very professional and kind. They explained to me in detail what this is..what that is... replaced all 4 pads at an excellent price. Very inexpensive. Taking off tires and checking is free as they did this for my son. His brakes were fine and he paid nothing for the labor. I will be back to this location if I need brakes or rotors in the future.

I have never had a service experience like this. Came in because my Volvo was pulling to the left. They checked the alignment and it was fine, so they rotated the tires to see if it was a tire pull. I was very impressed that they didn’t just try to sell an alignment and move on. They also didn’t even charge me to check it out. Very sweet guys, super professional. I’d definitely trust them with my vehicle again.

I DEFINITELY reccomend this place and will come back for anything my car needs because of Diego! Not only was he professional, he went out of his way to fully explain everything my vehicle needed and the safety of it. I truly felt that he cared that blew me away. He took me on a test drive and pointed out why my vehicle needed what it needed and said I do not want you to drive with your vehicle wobbly like this it is not safe and I knew he was sincere so I I had the work done that he recommended. Dont waste your time. I arrived at 7:30 am, but the man told me to come by 8:00 because the guy who did the wheel alignment was not there. Before leaving, I asked if I needed to book a time, he replied that there was no need to book anything. I came back at 7:50 and the guy said he could take my car because he had already taken someone else.

Horrible quality of Service. I filled their survey and asked a call from someone and nothing. Money wasted. Im still gonna have to take my car elsewhere elsewhere to finish the job. Including cleaning my seats that they stained. Go elsewhere.

This is my new go to spot! Especially for my brakes! Diego helped me and broke everything down, even used visual images to give me a better understanding. He was straight forward on why my brakes could be making noises which I appreciated. Him and Trey were a great team and took care of my car. I had no issues since seeing them.

I went to the 1505 N Loop location back in October and the customer service was great. The only problem I have is with the recommendation of the technician, which I fear leaned more towards profiting off of me twice rather than addressing the issue on a long-term basis. I originally came in to address a brake grinding issue which was thankfully resolved after spending $400 replacing all the brake pads and resurfacing my rotors at the technicians recommendation. Unfortunately, this developed into a squeaky sound coming from the rear brakes. The only reason I agreed to resurfacing the rotors was because the technician said they would last 6-8 months. I had asked about replacing them but he insisted that it wouldnt be necessary at the time, and I could always come back in 6-8 months. So I took his advice and left but now it has been less than 2 months after the service was done and the rear rotors are squeaking. I couldnt dispute this either because they listed on my receipt that they HAD recommended replacing the rotors the first time when they had advised me against doing so even when I asked them to. When I brought it back to inspect the issue, they quoted me close to $300 dollars to replace the rear rotors and said they could shave down the brake pads to fit the rotors. I was skeptical of the recommendation this time and and after researching it online I found that shaving it could compromise the structure of the brake pad. So now I have to shop around elsewhere and drop even more money to get the rotors AND brake pads replaced. Honestly, I have lost confidence and trust in Brake Check. The customer service here was great, but the integrity is definitely questionable.

The guys at “this” location are very friendly and knowledgeable. I took my 4RUNNER in to be checked because I was hearing a squeaking in the morning when I back out of my driveway. They pulled all four wheels and checked everything thoroughly. They told me that everything was in excellent condition and that I had nothing to be concerned about. Apparently it’s just my brakes making a little noise when their cold. Now, “most” shops would have tried to get me to turn my rotors or tell me that I needed a complete brake job. The guy behind the counter told me he had been doing this for eighteen years and treats people the way he expects to be treated, and that’s with honesty. It’s hard to find an honest shop these days. Stop by and let these guys do your brake work and feel confident at the same time!

I took my car for a brake inspection because it was taking more distance to brake and the brake pedal had to be pressed almost all the way down.The technician show me that my rear drum breaks still were in optimal conditions, but my front pads were thin-out and the brake disc need a resurface (He was surprised when I told him that they were still the same factory brakes at almost 70k miles).They did an excellent job, the car brakes like new..P.D. they change my oil at the same time 👍

If I could leave NO stars I would! Went for new breaks in February, a month later my breaks needs to be worked on again! Brought the car in to repair what they assembled wrong to only leave out with my car not drivable! Diego was the person who worked on my car this time and made it seem like he was the best one in the shop, while trying so hard to blame his co -worker Futton. However Diego was the one who made my car worse than what it was !!!!!! He tried to blame it on my transmission but he wired the sensors wrong which put my car in LIMP MODE. They wasn’t concerned about the well being of the customer, they wanted their money even though I had to get my car towed because of their negligence. This company cost me over $3,000 + in just a MONTH!! I wouldn’t recommend them to my enemies.

1st of all I have a big problem when it come to Brake Check . I have been waiting since last November 2019 in fact a few days before Brake Check gone Their rating of 5 Stars @ Store # 527 where my vehicle gotten paint spots all areas of my vehicle. I advised Managers after Managers up to Operational Manager whatever was his position . All I know that I we have too patience and nothing became of Repairing our vehicle, Therefore Taken Legal Action. And I am a Tech @ Brake Check that comes to work , does my work and stays till closing to assisting at last moment repairs , never complaining when no other Techs has gone. Given incident report was given .

Well I must say Mister Josec does alignments right I got my car in I aligning it as we speak and Ive gotten every 4th oil change for free by getting my oil changed here not bad for an average of $22 and some change for each oil change anyway I just thought Id make a post to the public sincerely PeteLast time I went to brake check on Chimney Rock and 59 somebody took the tollway change in my drivers door which was missing when I got back in there and left the site I have $25 in quarters and dollar coins missing Ill have to report it to you brake check corporate office in San Antonio

This time my Mercedes had fallen to one of Houstons best potholes and blown out 2 tires. After replacing them (good job Discount), and about 2 weeks later the car started thumping loudly over rough roads. Id been to this Brake Check several th imes in the past and had always received very fair, honest and reasonable service. No exception th his time. They took me right in, inspected, and found brokes away bar part on the side where the tire had blown. Agreed to service, ordered part, installed and out in 2 hours.I really like the professionalism and honesty I get here. Will always look to them for work of this nature.

Went to get my brakes looked at and knew I would get some work done at this location. Had to wait and didnt even realize it but the manager Diego was beyond professional and friendly on the wait. He had to be the first autobody guy ever to explain in detail and show me the work I needed done on my brakes and recommended what I needed to get done so I could get on the road and be safe for me and my daugther. Honestly always went to this one location because it was close and convient. But now I will go for the excellent service and assurance more so I know these guys will keep me safe. Highly recommended.

This was the worst brake repair Ive ever had. They said they could not perform the repair because they didnt have the necessary equipment. This was after Diego (the manager) failed to contact me about the issue with the repair and cost me a day and a half of potential repair at another shop. Also the corporate guy (Tad) failed to follow up sufficiently. Horrible customer service and the repair was not performed. Hi somewhere else for your service.

I have been to this location four times in the last three months. One my first visit I came to get a lifetime alignment on a vehicle I had recently purchased to ensure the longevity of my tires. During that visit I was welcomed in with open arms and nice friendly customer service by Cedric, the kind you would expect when spending $200 on a single service. Since that initial interaction I have returned at least 2, maybe 3 times and my experience was vastly different. On each occasion I am the only vehicle in the shop since I come early being that’s the only time I have to spare with my busy schedule but instead of getting me into the shop and getting my warranty alignment done I’ve been met with excuses. The first was that there was no technician available to do my alignment which I found hard to believe because there is always a tech when I need to pay for a service. This last time the excuse from an unfamiliar service provider, whose name I believe was Stephen, was first that they didn’t have techs but when I decided to wait for one to arrive he then told me he couldn’t find my vehicle in the system “because of the way the new system works” and finally telling me after finding my vehicle history that he would not enter my vehicle because of the smell. If this is the type of service you can expect from purchasing a lifetime alignment service with this company then I would recommend taking your business elsewhere.

I had a caliper go bad on a Sunday. Took it to brake check that afternoon and they got the ball rolling and had me complete by mid-day Monday. After having my brakes done I noticed a squeaking sound. They promptly took my jeep back and fixed the issue. Again, I cant begin to convey how professional these men were. Top notch masters at their craft. I will definitely use them in the future.

I took my F-150 to get the rear brake pads changed out based on a promotion that seemed like a good deal. After taking 30mins to get the wheels off and watching the two employees not do any work for 20mins they told me the actual price is $80. It seems like they are running a scam waiting to take my wheels off before telling me the price is higher than the advertised rate. There was no clear reason why my truck cost more then what is advertised. I would highly recommend taking your business elsewhere.

I totally enjoyed my rapid experience here. It was my first time ever at a Brake Check and ill refer it and go back anytime. The manager was nice enough to show me what was wrong with my brakes and why I needed to change them and my rotors. I wasnt going to do it but he stressed its importance & I came off that check. Not only that they were all very friendly. As a customer service employee I can truly appreciate the service. A smile goes a long way & it made my day!

Called ahead and asked if I could bring my car in for an oil change. I was told they had nothing going on at the moment and I could get in and out without 30 minutes. Got there and 2 people were sitting in the waiting area. I waited at the front desk for 20 minutes without any employee even acknowledging my being there. So I left and went to Firestone. I usually really like Brake Check but this location has gotten kinda shabby lately.

I have been coming over to this Brake Check for a very long time. They are always so helpful and I like the fact that I get my 4th oil change for FREE! They have also done other work on my cars like, brake work and wheel alignments. John assisted me today and the staff is very nice!

I made an appointment online to the Break Check location at 5637 Southwest Fwy on 10.31.2020, I arrived right on time and was greeted with No we cannot do alignment today because one of the mechanics were leaving and they still needed to finish a job, despite all of my efforts to have my alignment done that day they refuse to fulfill my appointment, the shop claimed their system didn’t show the appointment but I had email confirmation and text messages received by them. I reschedule for 9am the next day. I returned the next day and yet another problem, they lost power for a minute but supposedly knocked down their internet. They made me wait for 20 minutes waiting to reset the router and all that unsuccessfully, until I suggested to call other shops. They found a shop 10min away that could do the alignment.Location at southwest are not train to deal with this situations, they treat you like it is the customer fault and do NOTHING to accommodate. No contingency plan at all for their current appointments.Do you a favor and do not come this location.

Extremely professional but also sympathetic. Brought my car is after an accident and was stressed beyond words and they were patient, thoroughly explained what was wrong with my car, cut any repairs that werent needed immediately and took the time to explain when I would.need future repairs and why. I would recommend this place to anyone and will be bringing any future business here.

The dude had no name tag with nappy dreadlocks. Didnt ask me if I been here before. I asked him how much was it for a break pad. Got no response on that but told me that the break inspection was free. Im still waiting for the price. Im only writing this negative review because he spelled my name wrong after I repeated twice.

Been a long time customer, have been coming to this location since 2010 and initially I was really attracted to the lifetime warranty on their parts. However what keeps me coming back is their customer service and their commitment to their work. I appreciate the explanation of how the brake system works and the rundown of which parts are being replaced or worked on. The new manger John is also a great benefit. He is so helpful and attentive and breaks everything down in an understandable way that I dont need a mechanics license to comprehend whats going on with my car. Highly recommend this place!

I came here to get a second opinion/estimate on brake pads and rotor replacements, and unlike the first opinion I got, the crew here (in particular, John) we’re very professional and helpful. John allowed me in the shop twice so that he could point out (and I could see for myself) exactly what needed replacing, what has worn down, etc. Instead of just throwing around words that, as a non-mechanic, I would not understand, he showed me what he was referring to so that there was no misunderstanding or confusion. That meant a lot! In short: excellent service and staff!

We were heading to Hermann Park to see the Cherry Trees when our check oil light came on. We saw Brake Check and pulled in. The manager John took great care of us in record time and we’re on the rad again.

This is the absolutely worst place to receive new brakes and pads. My husband took my vehicle here on a Friday and by Wednesday my brakes locked up on the feeder of 610 and Bellaire. I was 9 months pregnant headed to my prenatal appointment. I was afraid, my car wouldnt move. I backed up traffic, caused a wreck behind me and my husband had to come and manually push my vehicle out of the moving lanes. Wes Saunders was supposed to pay me for lost wages and never did. Please dont trust this place. My advice, pay the extra that the dealer is asking and avoid mistreatment and false claims.

Yesterday 06/12/2020 i went in just to get an estimate on my brakes but after Curtis showed me everything & explained everything to me i went ahead & got them done. Ive had a lot of ppl tell me not to go to any brake check but when you have great, honest ppl like Curtis working, explaining, showing & giving his expertise on what needs to be done you cant help but be thankful. Being a woman i always feel mechanics are going to try & get over on me but Curtis didnt & Ill keep going to them as long as Curtis is there. I feel he can be trusted so if you are in need of brakes go to the brake check on the SW Freeway. Plus their life time warranty cant be beat. Im great now & again im really thankful.
