Very fast and efficient. Went it got a time to come back. Came back early and was serviced right away while I waited. There was really no where to wait since its a normal gas station but that was no problem for me since I wasnt in a rush and it was pretty quick. The man was nice and gave great customer service. Would definitely go back

Great experience! Good quality work and honest about what needs to be done with you. We thought my fuel pump needed replacing but it was actually just a wire and instead of hiding it and charging me for the fuel pump they told me and it cut the cost significantly! Came in once a few months back and haven’t been anywhere else since!

Don’t recommend, will try to get off on you if your a woman. Oil change went good cause there’s set prices. Tried to charge 400To replace thermostat.

Check engine light indicated a faulty 02 sensor of my 2014 Camaro SS. Steve and his crew at Auto heck were very thorough and professional in 100% curing the issue. They replaced the 02 sensor along with the mass flow air sensor taking care of the issue. This is a top notch facility and staff that I would recommend even if it were not convenient to you, it’s worth talking to the owner Steve who is quite the knowledgeable source for repair and advice. Ultimately, I would have rated the higher if there were more stars.Double thumbs up!!

Here youll find a professional and good group of people that know what theyre doing. I brought my Jeep in to have a creaky suspension fixed as well as a 2 lift. Everything looks great, was properly diagnosed, and fixed in a timely manner. After being overcharged at a local dealership for services that werent even properly diagnosed or fixed, it was nice to have someone I could rely on and for a much lower price. I only wish I had brought my Jeep in to fix the other issues sooner.

My number 1 go to. They’ve worked on several cars for me from my ‘99 528i to my ‘03 760Li and now my Avenger. I trust them with every car we own. I’d give 100 ⭐️s if I could.

I was at the shop for a mechanical issue. They performed a diagnostics. I was charged around $600 for some spark plugs and other work that was not needed. I had the same issue after it was fixed. When I went to the store the next day the owner guessed that it was another part that will need to be replaced. Come to find out it was a blow gasket that I was able to fix with some sealant for Less than $100. Very disappointed.

Steve is a extremely nice guy, but I lost all faith in this place. No more then 2 months ago I took my car for running hot, paid for that and then not even a week later it ran hot again and I had to pay for yet another thing. Then I took my car another time because it wouldnt start and they assured me it was my battery paid for that and then the next day it wouldnt start. I honestly believe they misdiagnose and have me pay for thing I dont truly need. Be careful with this place.

Extremely friendly and helpful. I was at the gas station nearby and my car key fob wouldnt unlock the car. They open it up and soldered a tiny component that had come loose. After I successfully unlocked my truck, I had to bring it in right away to get an oil change. This was mainly because I wanted to give them my business for going out of their way and helping me out with my key fob. Say hi to Mr. Harvey if you see him :)

HIDDEN GEM! The guy that owns it is super cool and extremely knowledgeable. He has almost 700K (yes, that’s 700) on his own car and his assistant manager has over 400K on his. I don’t know what else could measure car knowledge than that. They will take care of you in an honest, professional, friendly, educating, and fast way. A+ all around guys- thanks.

Brought my car for a quick diagnostic I told them it didnt fire up but it turns. They said that the timing chain was broken and they didnt have to see it because they are certain when theres no compression its the timing chain. Well I looked and there is the video. So called mechanics they just took my money.

Do not go there my car was worse of than when I took it. They never could get it right. Its making sound that It wasnt making before. It went from $600 to $2500. Beware! Beware!

Discount tire broke one of my front wheel stud on my 2000 Honda Accord and sent me to this shop to repair it. Discount tire said, its reliable shop. At first visit, they told me to return the following day, because the technician did not bring his tool to press bearing out to remove wheel hub. So, I was thinking its great! since they are going to replace the bearing. But, this weekend, when I replace my brake cylinder which is leaking a little, which this shop did not notice and did not even bother to tell me, technician did a short-cut method by just cutting the backing plate, grind the new stud head at one side then press it in. I dont mind they do this short-cut technique as long as they told me earlier that this is the process that they will do to my car and do not damage anything. The big disappointment to me, was that when the tech grind and cut the backing plate, he also leave a two grinding cut of about 1/8 deep on the knuckle bearing housing, which later on will cause a big crack that will break this knuckle in the future. This car is old and this knuckle part is very difficult to find and expensive if you find one. Im very disappointed with the workmanship of this shop. I wonder how much this shop charge Discount tire for this 30 minute work? or more than 2 hours for including telling them they had to replace bearing which need pressing and removing hub?

Never been there before. Stopped in to get an inspection. The guy I talked to was polite and welcoming. The waiting area was clean and not cramped. I got in and out so quick I didnt even have to whip out my phone or twiddle my thumbs.

Got charged for brand new parts and when we received it, it had junkyard parts on it, and again, UN DRIVABLE STILL been paying for a rental and get to CONTINUE paying for a rental while I take it to get fixed by someone who knows what they’re doing.

Brought my vehicle in to be diagnosed for fuel cap light being on. Harvey recommended that a smoke test be done to determine where the leak was coming from even though I suggested where to start. Reluctantly, I went with what they recommended. After the smoke test was “completed” it was found that I had a bad purge valve solenoid and a bad fuel cap. Both of which had already been replaced by a previous company. I made them aware of that but was told that they were bad anyway. After they replaced the parts I drove it considerably to see if the light would come back on and the very next day it did. After bringing it back to them and it having to sit over the weekend I was told Monday morning that it was the ESIM that needed to be replaced and it would be $400 on top of the $200 Id already paid to have them replace parts that I had replaced before I brought it to them. I decided to just pick up my truck to take it somewhere else but when I did I noticed they had to jump it to get it started. I asked the tech what happen and he said it just died sitting up over the weekend. I had not had any issues with my battery especially being that I bought it last year. When I got home immediately after picking up my truck it would not start so I called them. I told them that I believe my key was left on over the weekend while it was with them and of course they (Harvey and Steve) told me that it was a Walmart battery and they go out and to just take it back to them. Not taking any responsibility for the situation or care just as they did with the previous repair. He then offered to let it sit on the charger if I bring it back but how am I to do that if I can’t get the vehicle started?? DO NOT TAKE YOUR VEHICLE HERE. They will throw parts at it until they figure It out and will not take responsibility if they drop the ball.

Do not take your car here from services. This is most expensive mom and pop shop in Houston. For what they charge for simple repairs, you could take your car to the dealership and get it done by certified specialist. I took my 2011 Chevy Malibu in for basic tune up service. Spark plugs, air filters, oil change etc.. I ended up paying 1100$. They overcharge you for parts. They also did extra work that didnt even need to be done. The reason to go to a mom and pop autot shop is to get cheaper service done and to avoid going to the overpriced dealership. But this place will charge you just as much as the dealer if not more. I would suggest looking into more repair shops down 1960. I took my car to another smaller repair shop up the street and they charged much less and were much faster with service and they did better quality work. Oh and if your a woman. Please dont go here alone. I sat in the lobby and listened to them completely over charged a young lady for simple task that they she need done.

Every time I bring my car to Auto Check on Cypress Station and FM 1960 in Houston, I am greeted by the friendliest employees who actually listen to my requests or issues. The repairs are done impeccably and I never have to come back to re-fix an issue. I asked the technicians to check my car and tell me what needed to be worked on. I received an honest answer and a detailed estimate of each issue. I love taking my car there. I truly believe this company cares about the health of my vehicle and is not only interested in making a profit.

My husband called and spoke with the MANAGER who informed him they would charge NOTHING to verify that what we thought was wrong was actually the problem. After arriving, they once again said no problem well take a look and see how much it would be. They asked for the keys and at this point had said NOTHING about a fee. We handed over the keys and waited nearly 30 minutes for them to do NO MECHANIC work but tell us they wanted $128 for the test they ran or $512 for a Fuel Injector to be replaced. I am suing them in a Civil suit for this. He intentionally put us in this situation to make money off of us! He is the Manager so obviously this is NORMAL practice to them!! Please BEWARE of this place!!!

These people charged me over $4,000 to fix my car. Promised it to be good as new and come to find out they were using junkyard parts on my car. They told me I would be getting brand new parts and they lied. Made me purchase a rental because they never had my car ready when they promised a 4 day turn around. So unprofessional.

I recommend taking your car to this shop. I love the customer service at Auto Check 9. Everyone is very friendly. They provide you a loaner car if they need to keep your car for a long period of time, and they have driven me to work and back. They have taken great care of my car. I had the alternator replaced, the engine cooling fans and air conditioning fixed, an oil change, and had a glow plug replaced. They even replaced the car interior liner and cleaned my headlights.

Very reliable and very honest staff and management. Been there 3 different times to get my vehicle fixed. They do a thorough check up on anything you need a diagnostic on and they get the repairs done that’s needed in a timely manner. Ive taken my car here 4 or 5 times now and they have done an amazing job everytime. They are extremely nice and courteous. But, moreover, they seem to care about doing what is best for you and your car. They are straight forward and will tell you exactly what needs to be done and not pressure you into unnecessary work. They dont cut corners. They are also mindful of your time and will work in a timely manner and offer you rides so that you can get other things done while you wait. I dont take my car anywhere else.

They made the lemon I bought into lemonade.After my work truck was stolen I purchased a Jeep from a private seller that turned out to have a pretty severe coolant leak and overheated not too far from where I purchased it, I was on the opposite side of Houston from where I live and luckily found this auto check, not more than a half mile from where I broke down, that had stunning reviews so I had my vehicle towed there and was greeted by pleasant and attentive staff. They kept my vehicle over night and called me first thing the next morning to let me know they diagnosed the problem, what it would cost, and kept me updated throughout the repair as well. The only bad thing about this location is it’s not on my side of town.

Took my truck in due to a misfire. They said it need plugs and new coil packs .495.00 later that wasnt it .took it back same day .than it was the thermostat housing leaking down to the plugs .changed that and a new thermostat. 208.00 truck still have the same problem but I will not be taking it back to auto check .horrible job .my advice do not take your vehicle to this location for any kind of machnical work .horrible

All I can say is thank you to Steve I went in with an issue on my battery Ive been to AutoZone twice previously and was told that my battery was completely dead and could not be charged, Steve had it charged and I was up and running again and there was no charge for this service. Im on a fixed income and have been sitting in a parking lot for 6 days and thought what the hell Ill try once more and Auto Check had me going in less than 2 hours thank you

Just thought Id say a few words about my experience at Auto Check Nine on Cypress Station Drive. This was my first visit there and as soon as I walk in I was greeted by Matthew. Hes very charming and professional. I felt very welcome there. I was going in just for an oil change. He went above and beyond and said that hed have the mechanics check the hoses and belts just to be safe. I feel that customer service is just not important to people anymore and I was very impressed by the level of service I was given, not to mention the interactions I witnessed between the rest of the staff and the other customers. I will definitely be going back and making this the only place I go for my cars needs. Thank you!!

I live in McKinney but Im buying a car in Houston. So calles these guys to see if they could check out a car for me if the dealer could bring it to them. They not only said yes but got my in quickly! There were others that showed interest in this car so I had to be quick in the buying process and these guys made that happen! I did call a few times too, which can be annoying, but they were very kind with exceptional customer service.

Every time I take my SUV or my Truck to Auto Check at 1539 Cypress station Dr , they treat me very well. They are professional and I always get a smile. Ive never had any problems scheduling an appointment or having my questions answered, no matter how weird or stupid. Theyve never failed to notify me of what my car needs or doesnt need. Keep up the good work guys!They are honest and give me a warning if I have something major coming up that I will need to budget for.

I brought my car into Auto Check 9 for routine service (oil change, tires rotated, fluids checked etc...) and couldnt be happier. I am always suspicious of auto shops, including the dealerships. I feel like they create problems just to get you to spend money. But Matthew and his team were absolutely wonderful. There was no pushy sales - just honest, professional service at a reasonable price. I know where Ill be having my vehicle serviced from now on.

This place closes at 4pm Saturday they were able to get me in for my inspection at 3 I also needed a battery for my keys and they were out but they called someone and ordered battery within 30 minutes I was good to go! Definitely recommending this place !

I took my 2011 Buick Regal to here. Payed 120$ diagnostic fee robe told I need a computer that’s 800$ used. So I took it to another shop for a second opinion and turned out the battery was bad and need to be replaced. STAY AWAY THEY ARE SCAMMERS AND RUDE. I would give them 0 stars if I could.

The service at this Autocheck is always top notch. They have taken good care of our car. I have not found a better place to take my car since I have been in Houston. They are awesome.

Its great work done quickly so not especially cheap. Only once in 4 years have they suggested something I thought might be a frivolous mark up. All in all I appreciate the quality of work and service to the customer.

This is a great place!!! I am new to Houston, (relocated).. I had a station I went to on a normal basis back home, however it is hard to find someone to trust in this business, & being a woman it makes it even worse. Some places dont wanna believe a woman can know her vehicle, but these guys are awesome. They listen, and advise and do the work only requested by you. No upsales nor necessary work. I never do reviews for people doing their jobs, however this place compelled me to do so. I was there late January and wanted to say Great Job guys. Thank you!!! Ill be back. ;-)

Fast service and good customer service

HORRIBLE... I WAS ROBBED TO MY FACE ... THEY SHOULDVE NEVER DID WORK TO MY VEHICLE... I went in for an alignment... didnt know til they were done that I needed more work done that would later after getting the recommended repairs done would cause me to have to get the alignment done again ... the owner was screaming racial slurs ... unprofessional.. After going through all of this I still need another alignment... watch what you allow them to do ... I suggest an estimate first .. its only been one week and I wasted my money... they didnt honor the year warranty... so sad... very expensive lesson... please watch out... they want you to pay regardless even if its for the same thing twice... sad .. smh ... Beware ... CAUTION!!!!

Alex and Matthew helped me out as my car broke down early in the morning. From the time I arrived at their place they were on point. Quick and friendly. A cup of coffee to wake up while they checked out my car. Since I waited at their shop till I knew what was wrong with my car, I even got a slice of pizza as the team ordered it for lunch. Once they knew what was wrong with my car they explained it in detail and gave me a quote. For the time my car was in the shop they gave me a vehicle so I could get to work. Very professional service with a good upbeat attitude. Very surprising to find such great customer service in a car repair shop. Thank you guys!!

We used to Groupon, making it $60 to restore the headlights on our Suburban. It wasnt inexpensive, even with the Groupon, however we were very impressed with the quality of the work. The headlights look amazingly better. Also, they are punctual and have great customer service. I would highly recommend them to others.

Only two guys I noticed while waiting to be helped. One walking around and the other one eating while working on a car & staring at me. Rather take my business somewhere else.

I had originally left positive feedback and reviews on this shop. However, two things have forced me to modify my reviews and downgrade this shop. I would not visit this shop in the future at any cost. Matthew, Alex and the rest of the group are personable enough and seem to want to help. However, I am not sure their mechanics are competent in what they are doing. I had two very significant problems with this shop. One involved my commercial vehicle. The problem that the vehicle was brought in for was not corrected and the work that I paid a pretty penny for was not satisfactory. I did let them know and in all honesty and fairness, they were caring and offered to take the truck back and give it another shot. I let that go and dismissed it as these kind of things happen in any shop. However, the second item infuriates me and involves something as simple as an oil change. I normally do my own oil changes as I like to know what is going into my cars and it gives me the opportunity to check items under the car (CV joints/boots, belts, wiring, suspension, etc.). I am meticulous with my oil changes and always replace oil plug and washer as theyre cheap on Ebay. I use only factory parts. Given I was very busy with work and thought I could trust these guys with a simple oil change, I let them perform this service for me on one occasion. It was on my favorite vehicle - my bulletproof Honda Civic. The change was quick and I thought all was well. When the next 3,000 mile cycle came available, I got underneath the vehicle and put my closed-end wrench on the oil plug.....only to find out it was already stripped! What? There is absolutely no reason a nearly new plug should be stripped. I tried the usual tools (socket, Snap-On vice grips, etc.) and the bolt is not able to be removed. I went to my trusty Irwin specialty tool set designed specifically for removal of such bolts. Ive removed many stripped bolts with this set before and yet, it also failed. It seems that the technician who performed my oil change had NO CLUE what they were doing and not only likely used an impact wrench but also way over tightened the oil plug. Normal torque should be 15 to 20 pounds and Im almost certain this tech put at least 40 pounds on it. Hence, today I had to order a new oil pan for my Honda Civic and will have to spend several hours under the car replacing this over the weekend. So an oil change as Auto Check turned into 3-4 hours of work for me and an extra $100 in parts (would be triple that if I went to a mechanic). Not something that should be done after a simple oil change - especially when I go to the expense of putting new bolts on each time I do a change. I hate to say it, but the personable approach of this shop only covers up for technicians who arent quite competent or knowledgeable. Very disappointed as I thought I had found a winner and sad that I have to leave such a review.

This has been my 3rd experience with Auto Check 9, and they did their usual superior work on my car. This time, they had to replace the instrument panel, an $1100.00 repair, but they took the time check on my extended service contract and I ended up having to pay only the $100.00 deductable.Their customer service goes far beyond excellent, and we were on a first name basis from the beginning. Took my land rover in for a quick diagnosis of a driveshaft issue. As a mechanic I knew what it was but also humble to others advice due to the fact that we lived in Dallas and had no tools with me to fix. They gave me a quick and realistic fix and didnt rip me off. I will always come to this place when visiting Houston and away from my shop. Both owners are professional and gave me options!

Each time I go to Auto Check Im treated like family. Alex always takes time out to explain to me in detail what needs to be done to my vehicle, how long it will take and if I have other options. They also offer collision repair/services along with free rental cars. If there is a long wait for my vehicle to be repaired they have always offered to take me to where I need to go if I cannot wait. At this location what has been shown to me is that its not just about money, but about the safety and care of their customers. Hands-down the best experience I ever had with a mechanic! I went in for what I thought was a routine oil change and a maybe a rock that got caught somewhere because of a rattling sound that recently appeared, but little did I know my car was in need of some MAJOR work. Matthew and his crew not only assessed everything from most importance to lease, but gave me a full write up, and estimate that was less than I would have paid anywhere else. They took care of me from the time I drove up by offering morning refreshments and had a smile that never left their faces. All in all the best experience I could have had dealing with some very bad circumstances. Will definitely be going to them for all my work.
