I brought my Toyota Tundra to Hopkins Auto Body shop to have them replace my tailgate, and do a few touch up spots. Two days later I went and picked it up and wow! Went there for an estimate on my girlfriends car.I was honest with them that we werent planning on fixing the car with them, and that we were likely going use the money from the insurance company to help buy a new car.They werent phased and continued to give us amazing customer service. They got the estimate to us in less than 20 minutes and gave us some helpful advice! Not to mention their rate was significantly cheaper than the other body shops we went too.I cant vouch for their work, but can tell you they care about their customers experience for sure.

Went to get my car worked on there after getting my door backed into. When they finished doing the job and I got my keys from them and got in my car I immediately noticed that the door open sensor was skrewed up on my door. I went inside and complained and then they took my car back in and fixed it in about 45 mins. The entire time I was waiting anytime I asked a question on why that was happening or what was going on they attempted to shirk responsibility for the issue claiming they didnt mess with the component but when they replaced the entire door you know they messed with it at least a little. My car was then fine for a day. The next day my lock on that same door became jammed in the unlock position and I couldnt get it to lock through trying to push the lock buttons on the car and key fob or by pushing it down. They again took about 45 mins to fix it when I brought it back in and didnt charge me. The door looks good but they seem to do really poor mechanical work. I dont plan on getting work done here again.

I drove there thinking I can just get an estimate like from any other shops. But I was told I need to get an appointment first for an estimate, and that would be a few days out. I imagine a good customer service would be a little more flexible since I was already there. It took other shops less than 10 mins to give me an estimate. So far I’m not impressed with it. I will update if other aspects are better.

I needed to find an auto body shop after getting hit on the freeway. My experience from the first call to my last question was a dream! Everyone was interested in, first, whether I was ok and, second, making sure my car was completely fixed. This small business has it figured out!

From start to finish, my experience was first class. My daughter wrecked her car late Sunday night. I dropped off the car in the middle of the night and put a key in the mail slot. The next day Jeff called me and gave me an thorough estimate on the cost. Due to the age of the vehicle, I decided to not repair it. Jeff gave me a referral for an Auto Salvage company. I called them and the car was picked up the next day. They did not charge me a diagnostic fee or a storage fee. I will definitely drop another car off there and recommend that you try them too. By the way, it is a family run business and their communication was excellent.

I had 2 big car repairs done in Hopkins Auto Body. The first one was through an insurance claim and the second one was a silly mistake on my part and I paid out of pocket for it.In both instances, Hopkins Auto Body did an amazing job fixing the damaged body pieces in my car and an even more amazing job matching my cars factory paint. My car has a 3 stage paint finish and getting the right paint mix for it is not an easy job!The two quotes that I got from them were cheaper and more reasonable that some other shops around the area that I got quotes from.Their front desk was always friendly and helpful and Kub did an excellent job keeping me in the know about where the shop was in terms of the repair process and promptly informed me if the original quote needed to be altered because of unseen damages that were not visible during the initial inspection.I would strongly recommend Hopkins Auto Body if you need body repairs for your car. My hope is to not be involved in car accidents in the foreseeable future but if I end up in one, I will take my car to Hopkins Auto Body.

This place is a gem! My car was t-boned, they gave me a loner car, and now my Mitsubishi Outlander is good as new. I was treated well from start to finish. If you have Auto body damage, Hopkins Auto Body is the best in Minnesota. My wife backed into our mail box. The damage to the rear quarter panel of a Buick Enclave. There are several Buick Dealers, and only one Hopkins Auto Body. I highly recommend them.Back to Hopkins Auto Body, and it was seamless. They now have an Enterprise car rental office in the building.

Brought my car in June 20 and was told to bring it back June 26. Dropped it off and they finally got back to me July 3 and then said it would be done on July 16. This is for damage to the bumper of less than $3000. The car was drivable and I picked Hopkins Auto Body based on reviews and the fact I could bring itin sooner than the other place I checked. I am extremely disappointed with the service so far and will also be notifying my insurance company who works with them about the poor service response so far.

After cooling down for at least a month I can now write my review without anger about my experience with Hopkins Auto Body.I was rear ended and went here for repairs. Up front the entire staff I spoke with was polite, happy, and took the time to look at the damage and get it on the schedule. I had to wait about a month and that was fine, I was not in a hurry as my truck was still derivable and never implied I was.After dropping off my truck is when I started realizing I made a mistake. They told me they would give me a call to update me if the insurance would cover the extra costs from unseen damage not found in the original inspection and that never happened, when I called to ask they were very impatient with me and acted like I was bothering them. This happened several times and these calls needed to happen to verify the extra charges would be covered by insurance or I would have to cover them. I had also asked them to paint my rear bumper black and not chrome at my charge, they agreed, wrote it on the work order and simply did not do this. They also did not repair the gap at the fender flare that had happened in the accident, this was pointed out, marked down on the work order and they just did not do it. I had also asked them to take my truck next door to have it detailed and this also did not happen. I asked who was in charge of overseeing the repairs on my truck and the guy actually admitted that nobody there does that and everyone in the shop basically works on their own. These guys did not even look at the work order and just assumed what needed to be done, they admitted that. All of the work requested was right on the work order and they just blew it off. This leaves me to believe there were other things that are not visible that had been blown off as well.Im not that old but have been around long enough to know when to count my losses and run. I did not even give them a chance to make it right because I know thats like squeezing water from a rock. They did offer to make it right but I would not accept that and wanted partial refund with no success. I spoke with the owner and all he could do is go back and forth about how the mistakes were their fault but at the same time were not really that bad and Im am being too picky. I left there feeling at though I just rescued my truck from the butcher shop.In conclusion if you go there looking for quality work from people that actually care about your car and would treat it like their own then this is not your place even though thats how they portray themselves. These guys are all about high production, high profits while sacrificing quality work.

My Infiniti was still almost brand new when I was broadsided by someone who blew a stop sign and the damage was so extensive I thought it would be totaled. I was skeptical that anyone could repair this car given it’s close tolerances. Jerald assured me they could restore the car to like new condition without any indication it had been damaged. Jim is an artist and a craftsman. Weeks later my car is perfect. You absolutely cannot tell it has been in an accident. No rattles or squeaks, no overspray. I was skeptical but now I am delighted.

This was my first time needing body work done on my car and everyone was outstanding! The woman at the desk (I cant remember her name - sorry!) walked me through everything step by step and was super friendly and made me feel really at ease with the whole thing!There was some trouble with my insurance company not giving approval right away for additional needed repairs that differed from their estimate. (It was in no way the fault of Hopkins Auto Body, dont get me wrong, just technical and processing issues on the part of the insurance company.)It was amazing how Hopkins Auto Body went above and beyond, calling and working with them multiple times to push them to get the needed repairs approved so they could finish so I could get my car back as soon as possible.And the finished work was outstanding! No sign at all of any damage (and it was pretty bad) so I am 100% satisfied and blown away by the service I received from these guys.I would recommend this shop to anyone in a heartbeat and while I hope I wont have need of their services any time soon, I will definitely return if I do!!
