My 2007 Volvo broke down in Knoxville Tn. a few weeks ago. I was on my way to Birmingham. The mechanic in Knoxville said it was the transmission and he didnt fix transmissions, he couldnt recommend anyone in the city that he could trust. I had it towed to Birmingham.Before it was towed, I called 6 mechanics in Birmingham to get an estimate. Nick gave me the best price by far, half of what the dealership quoted and much less than the other shops. I asked my mechanic what I should be paying and he said Nick was right on the money so I had my car towed to Mr. Transmission in Hoover (Nick helped me with the towing too).If I could give 10 stars I would. Nick was good to his word, the estimate is what I paid, plus he changed the timing belt and added coolant. My car is running like a charm plus has a 12 month warranty. Best in Birmingham!

I had my transmission replaced last week, my service was very friendly and professional. One person in particular Nick, he was above and beyond helpful. He gave me tips and information on what to look for when purchasing my next vehicle and service for my cure car. I took my 2015 Hyundai Sonata up there for a transmission flush last Saturday and did a great job in a timely manner. Also the cost was reasonable compared to what I would get from a dealer. My car broke down in Birmingham AL on Thursday evening. I had my car towed to the Nissan dealer who quoted me $4000. I called around Birmingham looking for a cheaper alternative. I spoke to Robert at MR transmission. He was extremely polite and professional. He told me he could save me at least $500-800 for a new transmission and also offered to tow my car from the nissan dealer to his business at no cost to me if he did the repair. The ordered the part on Monday AM and had me on the road by Tuesday lunch. He honored his price and saved me $800. I highly recommend this wonderful business.

They are the best I have ever seen. About 3 Months after my Transmission was Repaired I was Having trouble with it took it back to Mr. Transmission, the next day they call me to let me know that the Convertor was bad, they replace it quickly with no charge the Warranty is Excellent they stand behind there work and parts. Terribly unprofessional! Took company truck there. Went to pay diagnostic fees stood in office for 10 minutes then had to chase down an employee to pay. Took 3 phone calls, a guy fumbling around and by the time I left I had been there for 40 minutes! Then I was called and angrily spoken to asking me to remove my bad unfair review. I removed my prior review; this one shall stay! From their response they didnt check the vehicle. Wow, thought thats why we took it there! Oh well, wont make a mistake like that again. Ill find a company that actually does what they say theyll do and take responsibility for it! I also work in customer service/sales Ive never called a customer and demanded removal of a review! We adjust tactics so it wont happen again and hopefully re-earn customers business to allow them to change review when they get better service or the professionalism they expect. Personal vehicle repair not sure about, and Im sure their mechanics are great. Company vehicle repair I wont take it here!*I am being harassed after hours and late into the night by RANDY for making a bad review for their terrible quality of service I received! 2 years ago my 2005 Chrysler Pacifica was not changing gears, I thought it was my transmission but it wasnt. Amberly and Nick took a look at it and discovered that it was my catalytic converter, the converter was clogged up. I was so excited, I would recommend them to anyone. My 1998 Ford F-150 truck wasnt changing gears and they had to replace my transmission, November of 2016 and again I was excited that this was the only problem. They did not try to pile on the problems. They were direct and to the point. I would recommend Mr. Transmission to anyone, their prices are reasonable and they wont rip you off. They are certified mechanics well versed in many areas. Thank you, Mr. Transmission.

A FEW WEEKS LATER I STARTED HEARING A ROARING NOISE SO I WENT TO A NEARBY AUTO MECHANIC. THE MECHANIC SAID THAT I NEEDED FRONT AND REAR BRAKES, I COULDNT BELIEVE IT! I TOLD THEM THAT THEY NEEDED NOT TO WORRY ABOUT THE REAR ROTORS AND BRAKES BUT HAD THEM TO FIX OTHER THINGS BECAUSE THEIR PRICES WERE WAY CHEAPER. I was unfortunate enough to have a fairly new cars transmission go out. I am a former Service writer myself so understand the power train of a car. I knew as soon as I spoke with them they were good trustworthy people. They took my car in at closing time and by 9:00 the following morning told me what failed in my transmission and gave me three replacement options. Seeing I was from another state I took the quickest option and by the end of the day was headed back home. When these things happen it is stressful and unfortunate but it is good to know there are still good companies out there like Me Transmission. My only regret is that they are not closer in case myself or aquaintence would need transmission work again.Thanks to Nick, Robert, and Ashley for all that you did for me.Steve

About a year ago, Mr. Transmission fixed/rebuilt the transmission on my 2000 Jeep Wrangler. They were timely and communicated via text almost daily with updates. I was so pleased that I went back to get my a/c fixed. Jeep is running smoothly with cold air now. All the staff were helpful, especially Amberly. Hower, I must say Cocoa and Booyah were my favorite members of the staff. :)

They damaged my vehicle and charged me to fix.When I took my vehicle in for an inspection, I talked to Nick and specifically asked them not to roll down the windows, because they are difficult to get up, and I dont want to get them fixed at this time. When I retrieved my vehicle, I found that not only did they roll my windows down, they had burnt up the motor trying to get them back up (if you rolled them up slowly, it would go). At this point, the windows would not budge at all. When I brought it back, they raised it free of charge, which was great until I got on the interstate the first time. As soon as I did, the window fell into the door, and popped up a piece of cardboard they used to hold the window in place. When I brought the car back, Nick told me he would not fix it again because I did not put a screwdriver in the window to keep it up. He told me they would need to fix the motors they burnt up, and it would be over $200. Bottom line, I took my car to them, and they damaged it, and are unwilling to fix what they messed up. I would not recommend Mr Transmission to anyone.

They found a couple issues as expected but instead of just throwing numbers at me, the gentleman (Richard i belive, horrible with names) walked through all the procedures that needed to be done and how much it would cost. Through a recommendation from a friend, this was my first visit to MrTransmission. I called ahead and spoke with Randy so he knew thebackground on my issue. As I pulled up, he met me at the door and we immediately took a ride in the car so he could assess what was wrong. He worked my repair into his schedule, ordered the part. and they started the repair while I waited. Through my time waiting, I observed him and the staff as they interacted with customers and vendors in person and on the phone. I was impressed with how well they treated everyone. There were some complications with the part that was delivered for my car. I believe that they could have gotten by with it but they choose to do the job right despite the additional time and trouble that it took them.

I had to have my car towed in because unfortunately the gas stations gas delivery driver mixed diesel in the premium tank and put the premium in the diesel tank. As soon as I started driving it all hell broke loose with me car. The car got towed into mr transmission Monday morning they started checking it for me then had to flush out the bad gas, clean out the system and change the spark plugs and fuel filter. My car is a performance car so I was worried the diesel would mess it up but mr transmission made sure everything was fixed and running right! Got my car back and its driving perfect! Thanks mr. I got roped in to coming here because they said they would look at my car for free. My car was over heating which caused engine failure. First red flag was i brought my car that morning and called that afternoon and it was like they hadnt even started. Got a call that next morning saying they could fix my car for 300. Mind you i explained to them i was probably going to replace it if it cost to much. Get my car back and on the way home it did the exact same thing it did before i paid to fix. I called and had to pay for another tow and was told rhey will see. I get a call that afternoon sayong it was going to be 500 to fix. How is that possible if it was supposed to be fixed the first time. I do not think the did anything to my car besides charge me 300. This company seems very shady and will take ur money and do nothing to your car. DO NOT GIVE THEM UR BUSINESS.

This place is horrible I have brought my car back multiple of times in less than 3 months they always tell me they will fix the problem and never do I wouldnt recommend anyone to get their car fixed here and lets not even mention the rudeness they have towards you because they didnt fix the problem correctly when I paid them thousands of dollars .. of this post would let me rate with no stars I promise they wouldnt even get one star this is an awful place

Fixed everything fast

Awful experience. Some of them are uncommunicative, and if those that are happen to be out sick, youre SOL unless YOU call THEM multiple times. Took 5 days for a timing belt and water pump replacement that shouldve taken 2 at most. To top it off, my car was tossed and my GPS is missing.

My experience started off bad but, after much discussion, Nick took care of the issue so I am now a satisfied customer.
