If you want thrills and frills, this is not the place for you. If you want great food and coffee in a cozy and non-conventional environment than you MUST visit this place. Coffee Line is no chain restaurant, so you wont get the bells and whistles that your used to getting at those touristy places in waikiki (like a smile and a less than sincere how do you do?). As a disclaimer: if youre not used to unconventional dining dont be offended by his standoffish demeanour. Just tell the man what you want and hell make it. Its that simple. Great food! I definitely recommend it!

First time visiting Coffeeline today. I live within 5 minutes, but just found this place. At first, I thought I entered the wrong building due to the decor. This isnt meant to be rude at all, I just thought I was at an indoor rummage sale. The smell of coffee kept me going. I ordered one cup of coffee and let me tell you--it was the best I have had in my 2 years on Oahu. Dont get hung up on the unconventionality of this place (I actually loved it). The coffee is what matters!! The gentleman behind the counter was a little standoffish as others mentioned, but so what? He makes a WONDERFUL cup of joe, Ill be returning.

Decor is kitsch and may turn some off, but the owner knows his coffee beans and tea blends well. Prices are very good compared to other places on campus, and the food was tasty, hearty serving sizes, and not expensive. With a nice outside atmosphere for seating, it is usually quiet and makes for a good place to study over lunch.

This is your one stop shop for good coffee, interesting music, and an abundance of literature. The place is eclectically decorated and has a calm, down home atmosphere. Not to forget to mention that Dennis has a wealth of interesting things to talk about and is a master of brewing a tasty stout cup of coffee. I go there as much as I can.

Ive only met Dennis one time so far but he seems like a great guy. I think that he simply doesnt suffer idiots, and thats why he comes off as rude. And for that I salute him! He actually engaged us in conversation and made me a perfect egg sandwich and cup of coffee to go with it. Treat him with a little respect and I think youll get the same in return. Treat him like your at Starbucks and youll probably end yet another bad reviewer. The place is ecletic but awesome all the same.

Ive been coming to this place for about 3 years now, and Dennis makes the absolute best coffee in the world. Finally a place to relax, have intelligent conversations and to get away from outside chaos, and inconsiderate people.
