This was the fastest experience Ive ever had when buying a car. We settled almost everything over the phone, so that I could walk in and sign the papers. It was a friendly atmosphere and pleasant experience!

I bought a Jeep from them over a week ago and it’s still showing as available online. Earlier this year I went to check out a Jeep I saw online but it had already been sold. They were nice but leaving sold vehicles online is a cheap trick to bring customers in and that’s pretty low.

Tried to get service for last two weeks. They dont answer the phone and despite 4 messages over last two weeks they dont call back. Worst service support I have ever seen. If you buy a car, dont expect them to take care of it or deal with warranty issues any longer. Used to respond. Service level now is non existent

Bought a truck back from them in March 2021 they mailed me my registration that expired in May 2021. I put my trust in them to have an adequate registration mailed to me. Thinking that I had a year on my registration while Im dealing with moving off island, it put a real big inconvenience shipping my truck back to mainland.

I totally understand a business doing what is necessary to keep their employees safe during these times. We thank you for that. But a big problem is that your phones are not connected!You call and follow the dreaded long computer automated voice that finally asks if you are calling for Sales, parts, Service etc.. please press this number. When you follow these prompts, in this case service (#3). A live person answers and asks how they can help you? You tell them what you need, but they apologize and say I am currently working from home I cannot transfer you, would you like the phone number?What?? I just wasted a good two minutes listening and following (YOUR) prompts for you to tell me I have to call another number???But yet I go to the competitions website. And on their website there are two options. Option one, a button that says Service and it calls service! And option two. You call the dealer main phone and it asks Sales press 1. Service press 2. And it takes you to service.Im not an owner of a chain of car dealers but I do also work from home now, and our business lines ring to where the caller actually needs!

Polite and attentive personnel was refreshing. Im familiar with auto maintenance, but I know many people are not. Im sure those not too familiar with their cars needs would be pleased.

I took my Ioniq in for an AC problem Id been having. The service department ordered the parts. When they came in they arranged for me to have a rental while they had my vehicle. When I came to pick up the car, service took care of returning the rental. They are very professional and accommodating.

First repair to fix faulty gear shift did not work so had to return for 2nd repair which was covered under warranty and car now works perfectly.

We test drove an used vehicle there. It was dirty and smelt of cigarettes. When I mentioned they really need to clean it to get rid of the smell I was told that was what you get when you are car buying here in Hawaii! Im thinking seriously, you cannot hire a good detailer to get the cigarette smoke smell out, vacuum the sand out of the trunk, and clean the interior better. Def waste of my time

My husband purchased a used GMC truck a month ago. I was extremely upset because he went without me to do a test drive. My husband is new to America so I didn’t want him to be taken advantage of, but it happened anyway.Long story short...he’s paying over 11% interest with a credit score in the high 700’s, the GMC was disgusting and smelled like someone died in it; They NEVER cleaned it! My husband had to take it back for them to wash it. We never got the permanent registration and it’s been a month.They took advantage of him because he’s new to this country. No one could ever change my mind about that one. Maybe next time he’ll listen to me.No need to respond with the automated reply!

I love the service guys. during the lock down they handled everything safely. My problem was covered by my warranty. BUT the new owner J and M does not have a car wash station so you no longer get your car back nice and clean. I dont like that at all. not needing a full mechanical set up just a place with water and drainage and a couple of guys to do it.

I cannot say enough good things about this facility and its attentive technicians and service manager. My car wouldnt start and they were able to quickly put my mind at ease with a prompt diagnosis and repair (no charge for diag!!!). Even though I live with in walking distance to the windward Hyundai shop, we will continue to drive over the hill and have all of our Hyundais service at JN.

I really wanted to like this place, but what a train wreck! Went into JN Preowned to purchase a 2017 VW GTI. The car only had 12,000 miles and seemed to be in great shape other then the AC wasn’t working. They promised to fix it on a Saturday. Had me come back in on Monday to pick up the car. Got there Monday signed all the paperwork and paid my down payment thinking I was leaving with the car. Was told come back on Tuesday to get the car. Tuesday gets here and then it was Wednesday. That turned into Thursday or Friday. Picked it up Friday and the car was nasty and no gas. None of the steering wheel controls worked. Spoke with my salesman and he promised to have it fixed today as well as clean and DETAIL the car and fill up with gas. Got the car back it had been washed very poorly, not cleaned inside and not gased up! For a dealership that brags about being number one in Honolulu I will never come here again. What a horrible experience. Poor management (the salesman was great) but the management here is horrible, they don’t follow through with what they tell you. I’d shop elsewhere if I was you.Update: JN commented on this review and ask me to reach out to them. Left a message the same day for the person who commented to call me....over a week now and no call back. Another perfect example of how they do not care about their customers. They comment on bad reviews to make the future customers think they care....they could careless!

I just purchased my 2020 Kona and had an appointment to install mud guards. Since the state safety inspection stations were closed when I purchased the car we also had the inspection done during this visit. Additionally one of the windshield wiper blades was defective so it was also replaced. I had a 1000 a.m. appointment and went early. I was immediately met by William the service manager who took my car in and told me it would be ready after lunch. Well, William called me later that morning to let me know the car was ready and all work was completed. Long story short I was back home before noon time with my car. Excellent experience with JN Hyundai of Honolulu both in the purchasing and servicing departments.

We spent a very big part of the day (more like all day) on the lot. We had Starr who was very good. We knew what we wanted, went in spent some time locating the vehicle and doing the normal paperwork. He basically shuttled us back and from one lot to the other, helped keep our daughter occupied while we did the boring adult stuff. He was straight up and very personable. Stoked he was NOTHING like the people I’ve heard about from a few years ago!

I bought an used car last month. The same day I bought the car it left me on the road. The dealer had to tow the car because it wouldn’t start and it was not the battery. They kept the car for two weeks for “supposedly” repair it. Never received a call to keep me updated about the vehicle repair, nor nobody answered my calls. When I finally got the car. I swear to God, as soon as I drove out of the dealership, the car left me on the road again. Plus they returned my vehicle with multiple lights on in the panel that were not on when I bought the vehicle. It ended up spending almost $5K on repairs and I got my car a month later. Also, the salesman was very pushy and poorly reliable. I am very sad with this purchase and afraid that more people could encounter this situation as well. My recommendation is that you go to another place.

The Hyundai team was always very friendly, professional, and thorough in the manner in which they accomplished complex and time consuming repairs to our automobile. The Hyundai team even took their service to another level by reimbursing me for the extended use of a rental car while our Hyndai Veloster was being serviced. My Wifes purse and rental car keys were stolen at a local grocery store while the Veloster was in the repair shop and we were offered a replacement rental car which was towed by the rental car company to our home address. Will and the Hyundai team really went the extra mile taking car of our car and our family during their repair work that ended up taking nearly two weeks to complete. I brought my car in for regular 65k maintenance and was nicely greeted but that appeared to be end of the good customer service. I was charged for full inspection & replacement service based on mileage, which includes topping off all fluids.and replacing all wipers (which I just put in couple months prior but they claimed they replaced) among other things, however 6 months later I find my car had little to no oil, no windshield fluid, or antifreeze(way below minimum)! I checked for leaks and there was none and my wipers are streaking and it hasnt even rained that much!. This leads me to the fact they charged me for oil and windshield fluid, and topping of antifreeze (which they never put in since it was empty) and they charged me for replacung wipers and I didnt have time to check other parts, but these are basic! My car could have been ruined and I could have had major engine problems! I will never go there again!! Please check their service and ask for replaced parts back so you can inspect. Very dissatisfied.

The manager Mr. Adam was so cool and friendly too and the budget manager Andrew did a great job as well explaining to me all the details about my finances. So pretty much I would recommend it to everyone.

Do not buy a car here. These guys are the epitome of shady used car salesmen. Heres all the reasons to avoid them:1. The price posted online, certified by TrueCar, will be raised. Mine was raised about $700 for unexplained fees.2. They use the let me talk to my manager manipulation technique3. The car I bought from them was dirty, had an empty gas tank, had an expired safety check, and expired registration. All this despite being listed on their website. When I complained they gave me the registration sticker FROM ANOTHER CAR. Totally illegal.4. When you purchase a car, you have to wait an hour or more to actually buy it. You then are secluded in a room with a pushy salesmen of questionable education who tries to coerce you into purchasing a maintenance plan that may actually be more than the price of the vehicle itself.

Very great experience with Seila! She worked hard for us to get what we wanted and what I liked most about her was that she told us the truth. She also made us smile and laugh which is hard to do when youre getting a vehicle. I recommend going to see her for your car shopping needs!
