This place is awesome! I live on an outer island and ordered a fridge on a holiday. Mike was excellent at explaining the products and process of getting fridge shipped. Fridge arrived seamlessly in 6 days to my outer island! Big box stores quoted me 3 months to get a fridge delivered. I highly recommend.

They posted a Facebook ad with Alpine ilx-f390 70% off. messaged to confirm the price at $399. When I arrived they never had any and tried to trick me into buying a ilx-207 for $450 instead.

We have had nothing but problems with our Maytag top load fridge (purchased 2015). We are on our 2nd replacement in 5 years since purchasing from this company.Thank goodness we opted to purchase insurance!!! Now we are on our 2nd replacement, replaced in 2017 and it is now August 2020. This Maytag fridge has been serviced 4 times due to cooling issues. The insurance company we deal with locally has managed to band-aid the issue resulting to just pacify the problem, each and every time.Having to deal with an unhappy soul like Sandra/Sandy at the insurance company is like pulling teeth without Lidocaine.Please go to a reputable establishment that takes pride and has dignity in their inventory that they sell.Dont cheap out like we did. My dishwasher broke... 2 weeks before Christmas... I was in the middle of making cookies, hot fudge & ice cream!I called Mike at Discount appliances on Piikoi Street. I got a new dishwasher delivered & installed, the NEXT day! Installation was on time, efficient, and Jason was super nice. But alas, he forgot to reconnect a small minor vent(?) so I called back. I was told Jason would come out the next day. Instead, I got a knock on my door 2 hours later. Jason, on his way to his second job, came all the way back to my house to finished the minor fix.Amazing work ethic. I have bought numerous appliances from Mike & always get the best service! So rare these days!

The Discount Store has the absolute worst customer service. My wife and I ordered an upright 18 cubic foot freezer for 942.36 on May 2nd, 2020, and was told that it would arrive at the end of the month.I called at the beginning of June and was told that it was delayed due to COVID, and was told it would arrive the next week.I called again in a week and was told that it would be at the end of the month. If we wanted, we could change our order to a smaller chest freezer. We sent an email inquiring about the order on July 8th and never received a response. I called on July 18th and was told that it would arrive in a week.Finally called again on July 30th and was told that it would be another week, at this time I asked for a refund.I will never conduct business at this place again.While we understand that shipments are delayed, and things can be out of the businesss control, straightforward customer service to call with updates would have gone a long way.

The Discount Store is a life saver. On Sunday, March 29th 2020 our Maytag gas clothes dryer died peacefully.Monday I called one of the big chain hardware stores in Honolulu that was advertising a dryer similar to ours and it was on sale. I called the store. It took several attempts over half hour to finally get someone to answer the phone.. He informed me that they did not have that item in stock and it would take six to eight weeks to get it here. In desperation I searched on line for the dryer I wanted and up popped the Discount Store website. I called. Lito Cortez answered almost immediately. He had what I needed at a very good price. We made the deal over the phone and now (4/1/20) just two days later, our brand new dryer has been delivered and installed by a friendly and knowledgeable crew of three young men. So my advice is, if you need appliances call the Discount store.. I have not been asked to post this, I am just trying to be helpful.

I responded to the Facebook ad saying they had a “sale” so I go down and the guy tries to sell me a $300 amp for $500, I talk him down to $300. I open the box and everything looks good until I go home. I go home and pull it out to install it and I find that the amp in the box does not match the amp on the box. They are a scam. I hope no one goes here.

Only can comment on the appliance section. I go often enough and Lito or Mike recognize me. I always get excellent service buying a fridge, stove, a/c or washer/dryer. Next day delivery includes install and haul away. Been going to them for over 10 years. Never a problem.

They were great. They had what I needed and the whole process was fast and they gave me a great deal for my money. I will definitely recommend them to friends and family.

This place is rediculouse, over priced appliances, Absolutely unprofessional service like scheduling people for appointments weeks in advanced and then I show up and there no technician working to install my equipment. The the dude working says hes not in and i dont know where he is ,but I seen you appointment and, well i dont know if he will be in today and they have the gull to ask for the deposit for installation pffftt! Unprofessional to say the least business is better done elsewhere

They carry good brand name appliances and car stereo and security products. They offer delivery and take away on your appliances.

I went in with my own product and they install everything in my car when no other dealers was willing to install my product into my car. Their labor price was reasonable....Thank you discount store and awesome friendly staffs.

Terrible customer service. I bought a pair of Rockford Fosgate car stereo speakers then I inquired about a Alpine subwoofer. The salesman looked at his co-worker and made a face like I was incapable of paying for a $500.00 item. Will never ever go there again.
