The Helena stores manager is FANTASTIC!!!! SUPER friendly and helpful. Just love shopping there. They always wear their masks and the employees are all helpful and nice. Store well stocked.

Everything about this store says Im just as surprised as you are that they havent closed us yet! I honestly couldnt tell until I pulled on the door if they were open or not. I swear this building looks like it should be on Xanax.Im sure the employees are super nice, if you can find them. We walked in and had a five minute conversation with another customer who was waiting to check out. We joked about how the employees were probably tied up in the back... they werent. That probably would have excused the front of the, including the registers completely unattended. Seriously, if you want free crafty stuff, just come here and walk out the front door with it!At least they have coupons on their app...

Wonderful employees and well organized store!

Was there 15 minutes before closing, grabbed my two bolts of fabric and stood in line at cutting counter. Manager in charge was already cutting fabric for customer, looked and me and said she doubts she will be able to cut my fabric. I stood there anyway just in case. Another customer showed up with a cart with maybe 6 bolts of fabric and the manager looked at her and said there was no way she would be able to cut her fabric. The cashier made the announcement over intercom the store will be closing in ten minutes. The lady with the cart stood in line for a minute or two, then put all her fabric back. I was still standing in line even laughing along in conversation with customer still getting her fabric cut. Then the manager decided to strike up a conversation with that customer (prolonging the inevitable of cutting my fabric) offering her 5 boxes of free material to her charitable cause and when can that customer pick them up. Cashier had locked doors and came to cutting table to put away bolts of fabric and gave a dirty look because Im still waiting to get my fabric cut. After standing there for 20 minutes I gave up. The cashier was rude about unlocking the door so I can leave. Its better if you make the drive to Bozeman or Great Falls, better selections anyway and nicer people. Seems like Helena has been lacking in the customer service department for a long while...

Clean store with social distancing encouraged. I found everything I needed with helpful staff.

They have a nice selection of yarn and fabric. Their selection of scrapbooking supplies is lacking compared to some of the larger locations. Its a good location with other stores around. The only down side is that it is regularly understaffed.

Employees will not wear masks to stop the spread of COVID-19 and follow the governors mandate about mask wearing. Rude and argumentative with customers. Needless to say, will not enforce the mandate, despite rising numbers of cases.This business should be closed until the end of the pandemic.

Such a great store. I just stopped in couple hours ago and two young staff helped me, one named darby and the other Emily. Couldnt find any computer printed fabric but the serve was nice!!!

I enjoy shopping at Joanns. I love the coupon deals . Im usually able to find what Im looking for. Their variety and selection is pretty good my only wish is that if they could make the store bigger!

This poor store just doesnt get the love from corporate that it needs. Its a small location in a dying strip mall and is often understaffed. The selection for the space is out of this world and if the corporation would move them into a bigger space they could be really competitive with the only other hobby and craft store in town. Staff are friendly and knowledgeable, quality is super just like all JoAnn stores, its just cramped and crowded and doesnt have the room it needs for classes, selection or expansion.

I go to JoAnns nearly weekly. I love the staff they are usually very helpful. For the last month Ive been into the store 2 to 3 times a week to purchase the Coredinations Card/Envelopes: A2 White; 50 pack 4.25 by 5.5 inches. They have been out of stock every time Ive went to the store. Ive showed the staff several times that they are out. They say there is nothing they can do. The stock must have been bought up recently. Ive asked if its such a popular item why they dont stock more. The staff just states they are not the ones who set the quantity for the store and seem to not know who to get the quantity raise. So Ive purchase two packs recently from Hobby Lobby. They are a little smaller being 4 inches. Could someone please consider raising the quantity of this item. I craft with other card makers who have also not been able to purchase this item on several occasions.

I do like Joann Fabrics, but they really need to focus on customer service and training their employees. If you want any fabric cut it takes FOREVER. And the last time I was there the person had no idea how to calculate yards or where anything was. It was really frustrating.

Staff is knowledgeable, friendly, and helpful. Craft stores can be overwhelming, but the staff here really help.

Soooo much crafting supplies available at affordable prices!

This is the 3rd day, which is PAST their 48 hour promise to call back, that I have been waiting for a phone call regarding a return that I made over 2 weeks ago. So far, Ive had promises from everyone from their FB page to corporate saying they would call back and yet no one ever does. I returned the merchandise to their store over two weeks ago on 9/4/12. Prior to going into the store, I called the store manager who assured me the return would not be a problem and that they would put it on a gift card since I did not have my receipt. Once I got to the store, the refund was more than they were allowed to put on a gift card, so they said theyd issue a corporate check, which never showed up. We tried talking to the store manager, but she said there was nothing she could do. She refused to give us the district managers number or email. She gave us an 800 number that weve been calling for three days with no answer. Then they gave us corporate numbers, but those are voicemail too with no answer back. We havent gotten a call back in three days and no one will tell us anything. So we asked the store manager to just give us the merchandise back and wed cancel the refund. She refused that too. So now I cannot get my refund, nor will they just give me back the merchandise. This is a return for over $200. They have just stolen $200 and will not even return my calls.I will not shop here again as now I must spend days filing complaints with the Better Business Bureau and the Consumer Protection Agency.

While on vacation I needed to pop in. Fairly smaller store than Im use too. Several staff tried to assist me in what I was looking for. 4 out of the 4 failed horribly. Most didnt know what it was i was wanting. (Cricut stencil sheets) And the one who knew kind of what I wanted didnt know if they carried the item or where it would be. Really?! Very disapointed with their staff. I had wondered why any of them even worked there.

I went in to find a replacement bulbs for my Ott-Lite standing lamp. I was taken to the bulb section, found the bulb I wanted and was delighted to find it was on sale. Courteous, friendly, and helpful employees.

Went in knowing absolutely nothing about fabric or what type i needed. The ladies there were very kind and helped me get exactly what i needed!

Great place for any hobby items.

The store has a little bit for every crafter, I typically find 70% of what Im looking for. It does seem a bit unorganized and cluttered. The check out area makes no sense to me and is not a good use of the space.

Staff did not know what the Cricut Maker came with and couldnt open the cabinet to look. She was not helpful at all. She missed a sale. I ordered a Cricut Maker directly from Cricut

Tend to raise prices and then promote sales prices that are the regular price.

Typical Joanns, very small store with limited stock. Generally under staffed, be prepared to wait if you need fabric cut.
