Id been keeping my eye out for a specific car and, as fate would have it, Lakeside ended up having exactly what I wanted. Of course I received the typical car-buying advice from everyone around me about haggling before I went to take a look. Let me tell you, as someone who despises the haggling and back-and-forth, that this was such a simple and great experience. There was no BSing me or extra fees, they took my trade in for a great price, they were helpful and communicative, and worked with me on getting my payment where I wanted it. This was soooo simple and quick, I recommend Dan and Lakeside Motors for sure.

A few weeks ago my daughter in law broke down on the way to visit from Orange, Ma. It was a Sunday, so we had the car towed to Lakeside Motors. They worked on it first thing Monday morning, found the fuel pump was bad. Ordered parts and called Tuesday morning at 10 am to say it was ready.Thanks to Dan (owner), and Tom ( service manager) for being so responsive!Great prices and excellent workmanship!

Lakeside Motors is a local neighborhood service garage that does great work at a fair price. Lakeside also sells quality used vehicles, everything from trucks, suvs, and cars, all the way to the occasional classic cars.The owner Dan and his service manager Tom are both very easy to speak with when you have a problem with your vehicle. Unlike other garages, they dont make you feel dumb when you try to describe your problem. They take their time to make sure they understand what the issue is, then they will fix it, just like new again. I cant recommend Lakeside Motors enough, they are the only service garage that my family and I use.

Was there this morning for oil change, tire rotation, overall maintenance check of our handicapped van, which requires more than the usual vehicle. Twenty minutes after I sat down, they were handing me my keys and said I was all set! I couldnt believe it! This place is so awesome! Would recommend it to everyone!-Diane Lavallee

Pretty good, used to be better. Bought a vehicle from them. I recently experienced some shaking in the front end, so I brought it back to them to have it checked out-thought it was a tie rod. Found out they replaced the entire front end before I purchased it- but never did a front end alignment. Car drove straight, but now the inside of the tires are worn out, and the car shakes badly. When I went to pick it up they told me the tires should be rotated. Why didn’t they do it for me? That’s been my experience with them lately. They used to go all out for their regular customers. Now they won’t even tighten a loose bolt unless it’s part of what they’re working on.

I have 3 high miles used cars that are constantly needing maintenance. The folks at Lakeside are more than friendly and I am always satisfied with the explanations given. They are honest and I would highly recommend Lakeside Motors of Haverhill, MA to any and all folks that need an honest repair at a reasonable price!! I drove almost 2 hours each way to test drive a vehicle there. Although theyd had the vehicle for months, they had not inspected the vehicle enough to realize that the wheels were seriously out of alignment, the wipers only worked at one speed, and the electrical system was on the fritz. The car died on me in a nearby rest area parking lot and they had to come get me and jump the battery. The apologized in person a little bit, but later emailed me saying that the car is fine and were kind of rude about it. No thanks

Giving a shout out to Dan Hogan. My truck tire went flat at the entrance to his car lot. Dan rolled up, I asked if I could borrow a floor jack so I could change tire. He came back with the tools needed to do so. Dan also assisted me. Im not familiar with that area, I was about to contact AAA. Dan took time from his busy day to help out a person in need.Minutes later the tire was changed then, after talking with Dan and two of his friends who also offered their assistance. I was back on the road.If ever my company drivers have an issue in that area, they have his business phone number to contact.Thank You again.Rich

My car was broken down off of 495 in Haverhill at 11 am on a Friday and I called three other local auto service businesses who would not repair a blown antifreeze hose on short notice then fortunately I called Lakeside Motors. The owner Dan answered my desperate phone call and assured me that his shop could repair the hose immediately and get me back on the road. I had AAA tow the car there and Dan was beyond pleasant while the car took an hour on the lift and his standout quote was, If I was ever broken down on the road like you I would hope someone would help me out too. Lakeside did not charge me an arm and a leg for the repair and I was happy the car ran perfect for the rest of my travels. Thank you Dan and Lakeside Motors

My experience with Lakeside Motors left me extremely upset!!! They replaced my A/C Condenser at the end of August last year and when I went to use my air conditioner last month, it blew hot air. I called them, brought it back for them to look at it and Joe told me You must have the worst luck, something must of hit and dented it, leaving a small hole, so its not covered under the one year warranty Yup, it was going to cost me the full amount to fix it, according to Joe! Well, I brought my car to my regular mechanic and he could NOT find a dent, only the markings where the dye leaked. I called back and spoke with Dan, who called me back and told me they would replace it for just the cost of labor ONLY! Well, when I tried to make the appointment, Joe gave me a hard time and said hed he to call me back. When he called me back he grumbled and said they would have to Eat the cost of the new condenser and scheduled my appointment. I just picked up my car and they charged me $90 over the cost of the labor to Evacuate & Recharge System, this is listed as Misc R134A, NOT labor and is separate from the Labor HOURLY yup, Joe gave me the bill!!! I wrote out the check, complained that I was not happy with the unstated charge! Dan told him not to charge me, but the check was written and Joe took it and didnt even want to mark paid on my receipt! DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THEM, THEY RIP YOU OFF!!!!

Great place to have you car worked on and reasonable

I bought a pickup truck in the fall, the day I brought it home, backing in my driveway, the backup lights didnt work. I also heard a intermittent grind noise, but is was very minor, didnt worry too much.When I brought it back, I was told both bulbs burnt out at the same exact time,very unusual (Hold that thought ). A couple months later the truck died while driving in the rain. Had it towed, to Lakeside, was told fuel module sensor was gone, $200.00 dollar repair. A couple months later the noise got worse, so back to the shop it goes. Told it was the 4 wheel drive actuators, the same noise it made when I bought it, only much worse, a $600.00 repair. I also was told I needed a u joint, so $700.00 repair. I get the truck home same noise! Back to Lakeside, told a vacuum line was plugged. I had to pay for only the part, they got the labor covered, mind I already paid for this fix. I go and have my tires rotated and get an inspection sticker, I am told there is no power to the computer, no sticker. Change the fuse I end up getting a sticker. while under my truck I noticed that this truck has been all doctored up. The frame and underbody of this truck is rotted out and painted over- very deceitful! Just over a year later, my check engine light is on, with a code p430, which means I need to change the catalytic converter, which there are two, so twice the money, a $1200 job. Plus my truck, keeps blowing fuses, an electrical problem! Remember the day I brought the truck home the lights didnt work, pretty funny how both bulbs burnt out, seems like a related electrical issue to me! Bottom line, I was purposely deceived, and lied to. They went out of their way to hide all the issues this truck had. DO NOT BUY someone elses headache from them!
