Took my Prius in. Was told it would take 3 hours to complete change. I said fine, can I wait inside. Was told no, Covid concerns. I said okay, I’ll find a shade tree and wait. 2.5 hours later, I was called and informed that they couldn’t change my fluid because my vehicle was hybrid. Duh, it is a Prius. I can’t believe the incompetence. Diagnose it sooner. Poor Service.

This place is great. Will and Gage are so honest and professional. Vic great mechanic. I had my camper van break down while crossing the country in June with all my pets and was stuck there for 6 days (over a weekend and then time while they found parts and rebuilt my transmission). Very hospitable and let me stay in my camper on their lot use their truck etc. While crossing back across the country a few months later there were still some issues with my transmission, they figured it out, went over and beyond to replacing/rebuilding the whole transmission kit again even though all they had to do was replace a valve and a band that were not working properly. Additionally they also replaced some electrical parts at no charge and honored their warranty with the transmission. Cant say enough about this outfit in their honesty, fairness and professionalism along with southern hospitality.

Had to use them for a silver rock warranty issue. Super friendly. Told me the best time for us to drop the car off and they had it good to go the next day.

I wish I could give them negative stars. They must order their transmissions from China. First they lied to me about the price to change my transmission, took my truck apart then charged me $1000 more than originally quoted to put it back together with a new transmission. Its been back in the shop 5 times since tgen fir transmission repairs. Everything from leaking constantly to not shifting properly. They cant figure out why its doing what its doing and they refuse to fix it. Also every time I drop it off it has between 3/4 and full tank of gas and every time I pick it up my gas light is on. Why is that? Are they stealing my gas or driving my vehicle around on their personal time running errands? I DO NOT RECOMMEND THAT ANYONE USE AAMCO FOR THEIR VEHICLES. I will never use them again after this horrible experience.

Was told my transmission was completely ruined and was priced 1.7k for a used transmission with 150k miles on it with a 6 month warranty. I went to other shops for more opinions and both told me I was misdiagnosed and also was quoted from another shop that I could get a used transmission with less than 50k miles on it with a year warranty. Dont go here. They will jip you for sure and will tell you whatever they want in order to sell you something. I also over heard another customer getting gouged on a minor part. I would strongly recommend looking around before even thinking about coming here.

Not my vehicle. But they fixed a transmission on a White 2003 Honda Odyssey around May of 2014. For around 3 grand, I expected more quality checks to be done. Transmission is fixed, and shifts okay, but replaced motor mounts with low quality aftermarket mounts, (probably worse quality than oem 11 year old mounts) and forgot to mount a screw on the transmission. Broken clips, missing clips, unclipped clips, bent transmission oil dipstick. and the cruise control cable is squashed under the air box, not on top, where it belongs.. Windshield washer clip to hood never clipped back on , neither were the battery cable clips under the air box.. battery cable terminals were slanted when installed back onto the car.. with the battery greasy and dirty. sprayed the door with what appears to be degreaser and had it all over the windows. Not how the car was left. yep.. total car care alright..(edit) - also, the steering wheel on the van came back angled 5 degrees to the left when driving straight. Very annoying on a 4 spoke steering wheel. Honda would of installed a rebuilt/new transmission for less than a grand more.. maybe that would of been the better route. Why am I anal about the small details? because Transmissions have HUNDREDS of small parts together and attention to detail is key. If they cant put plastic clips on the car without breaking it, I wonder what they did IN the transmission.

I have a 2009 chevrolet tahoe and my transmission quit pulling and i was stuck on side of the road and i called aamco transmissions and they towed me for free because i let them fix my transmission . it cost 2289 and i got a life time warranty which is good for as long as i keep the tahoe. they fixed it in one day for me because that was my only vehicle and a single mom with 2 kids. i just love my local aamco. Will lambert was great and he let me borrow a car for a day. AAmco save me that day.
