This is my store! Customer service I received and the store was beyond magnificent! It started with me calling about a security screen door I ordered on 14 October. I spoke with a gentleman named Oliver on the phone. Oliver was very courteous even though I was a little bit angry because my door had not arrived yet. Oliver was very patient and very courteous and try to get to the bottom of things. So that being said we found out my door was to be delivered that day at 12 noon. Oliver could not find anything in his system so he walked back to receiving to see if my door had arrive. He actually looked in the truck itself to find my door. He did actually locate it and then I was on my way to the Home Depot to pick it up. When I arrived I asked for Oliver. He had already loaded my door onto a cart to bring to the front of the store which by the way it was not his job. I find this to be excellent customer service when someone goes out of their way to accommodate a customer when they really don’t have to. I was snippy because I wanted my door that was late and I know that Oliver heard it in my voice. But he was so patient with me and never once treated me with any kind of disrespect. Home Depot you should be thankful for employees like Oliver! He is a great asset to your company! With employees like Oliver that is what keeps me a loyal customer! And let me not forget your general manager! He was working right beside his employees when I came in and waited on me when I needed help I had no idea who he was until I asked Oliver to speak with him. I like that! Also the store was clean the employees are bright and cheerful and are willing to help you any time I did not have to track down anyone they came to me! That is why this is my Home Depot!

Waited 15 minutes for curbside pickup, eventually had to go inside and tell them I was outside waiting for my pick, employee stated we had no knowledge and notifications on you being outside. I guess then it’s time to upgrade your curbside pickup service or get better employees that want to work. Definitely will not be coming back to Derry st location.

Found what I needed and got out quick ..

Very disappointed with this visit. I went to the customer service counter to pick up an online order. After a few minutes, I over heard what appeared to be a manager telling the young lady she was on her own tell 4:30 as me an 2 other customers were waiting in line. As this cashier disappeared to do something for the lady she was helping I went to this manager about 5 minutes later to ask that he assist us that have been waiting in line. I was furious when he said he couldnt as he was helping other customers. I only saw him with a clipboard, not with other customers. I left the store. Im not waiting in line indefinitely when a manager has no sense of urgency and no concern for customers that have been waiting in line because he feels his other work is more important. Perhaps he needs to go back to management school.

This has been my new favorite place lately while trying to get the backyard ready for the summer.

I usually don’t write reviews but the utter incompetence of the folks at this store warrants a review. I called the pro desk about an order and was transferred to customer service. The woman who answered began helping me, but before I finished speaking, she put the phone down and I heard conversations for several minutes. When she picked the phone back up she was unable to clearly answer my question due to a language barrier. She transferred me to a manager at which time I was put on hold and then the phone rang for approximately 5-7 minutes before I hung up. I called the pro desk back. The same woman answered from the first time and she must have recognized my voice from our previous communication because she cut me off and told me just to use the customer service extension, as if I should have known. I said “wait, please, hold on. Please don’t transfer me to the same person you did the last time because she was unable to——“ at which time she cut me off AGAIN and transferred me to the same person anyway. The phone rang for several minutes again so I hung up again. Finally I called back and the first words out of my mouth were a request for a manager. I needed someone who actually could answer my question. A man picked up the phone who was kind, informative, and coherent.After all the negative reviews on here about this location, I am shocked that more isn’t being done to fix the issues with incompetent employees.

Being disabled, I ordered a couple heavy of items for curbside pickup. Notified the store through the app I was waiting in the curbside parking slots. No one ever came out with my order. After waiting 20 minutes I went in and asked them cancel the order. They didnt even offer to get someone to come load it immediately. Also, 2 other customers that were waiting for curbside pickup, one waiting longer than I was and another that pulled in a few minutes after me, had to go into the store when no one brought out their orders in a timely manner. No one at the customer service desk seemed too concerned with why no one was responding to any of the curbside pickup customers. Ive never had this issue at the Home Depot I usually shop at. They typically have the order out to you in less than 5 minutes.

So glad dat my item was able 2 picked-up at Home Depot which is not 2 far from me & it is RIGHT on time 4 our Flea Mkt.!!!

Clean store easy to find what you are looking for. Aisles are well marked

Went to pickup an online order. Needed a filter for my AC and asked the first employee I saw. They immediately told me the aisle number where to find them. Awesome.

Home Depot is my preferred place to shop for home repair items, appliances, doors, windows, lawn and garden. The availability of customer service is at the top of the line. I don’t have to look for and wait long to receive help when I need it at Home Depot. I don’t mind driving a few more miles to get to Home Depot because I know that I’m going to be honored as a veteran and receive great service.

Thank goodness the lumber prices came down to something reasonable.

Very helpful staff when choosing what paint and stain to use. They took the time to show me my options. They even remembered the project I was working on when I had to return for more supplies.

Im normally a Lowes person. But here lately home depot has been coming through for me. Website is accurate about locations of items and quantity. And they seem to be able to keep things in stock more so then others. I see myself slowly changing. Time will tell.

What a mess! Understocked. Boxes laying out to go through instead of emptied by employees. Stuff in aisles in your way. Just a mess! Went to New Freedom today and was normally stocked and clean.

Aside from the false fire alarm and evacuation; I was able to find everything I needed on this trip! I even picked up a couple new house 🪴s!!!!

The location of this store does not match with Google Maps or a Garmin GPS, which was very frustrating for folks such as ourselves who are not familiar with the area where this particular Home Depot is located. Our focus for this visit was to their outdoor gardening area. This department was in shambles and a true disgrace for any business. Many damaged bags of product such as sand, gravel, mulch and manure were strewn about in the aisles preventing customers from wheeling a garden cart up & down the aisles. When we located the bin area for the polymeric sand we wanted to purchase, the space was barren. We did spot a pallet of that sand up on top of the shelving units, so off we went to find an employee who could get that pallet and bring it down to the floor. Employees in the garden department are like cops... you can never find one when you need one. We wandered all through the garden department for approximately 10 minutes with no success, so we had to interrupt the cashier from her duties to please contact someone who could help us. Another 10 minute wait until an employee showed up to assist us, but then he had to go back to the lumber department on the other end of the store to get a fork lift. That took about 15 minutes. We were actually walking towards the exit to leave and go over to Lowes when the errant employee showed up with the fork lift. Then we had to wait another 10 minutes for his assistant to show up and hold a red flag at one end of the aisle while closing a gate at the other end of the aisle. Seriously??? We were the ONLY customers in this area of the outdoor gardening department, and the forklift operator actually had us stand toward the end of the aisle while he brought down the pallet full of polymeric sand. So all in all we were delayed for approximately 40 minutes while Home Depot got their act together to load a pallet of polymeric sand into the vacant space that should have already had product in place ready for sale. The Home Depot commercials on television always emphasize their great customer service, but in reality it is events such as this that drive their customers to the big blue box store that is usually located near a Home Depot.

This store is a mess, stuff everywhere. Trying to navigate around items in the isle and pre loaded carts is so annoying.Staff were great, kind and friendly! Only positive

Had everything I was needing, and a little extra! Store staff so helpful and friendly, so they enjoy their jobs. Could get lost looking at all they stock.

It is a bit smaller of a Home Depot than some others, but theyve pretty much got what you need for the most part. The staff is friendly and definitely willing to help you out if you ask. One negative, though, is that sometimes it can be extremely hard to find a heavy duty cart.

People are very helpful and items are easy to find if you cant all you have to do is ask somebody in there very knowledgeable people.

Friendly and knowledgeable staff throughout the store. This store is smaller so product availability is limited, however, they are always willing to help you find an alternative or help you locate one online.

Went in to pick up 10 bags of sand, needed assistance due to recent surgery.Ron at the outdoor register requested help but nobody showed up to help, got tired of waiting. Should have known better have had issues in the past at this Home Depot, has to be the worse one around. Went up to Lowes and was in and out in 15 minutes. A couple dollars more but I got service.

The sunday afternoon staffing was so poorly managed that I left the 1 item I came in for at the register and went elsewhere.Seems nobody knows how to check out a tractor battery and not charge a core when the core was right there. Q cashier even tried charging me for my old battery.Went to 3 different registers, Including service desk before I walked out.I usually like this location but not on a Sunday afternoon.

My personal Walmart, they have everything I need and dont need. Keep me out of this place

This is actually a two part review.First, a positive review for Luke, who works the return desk area. We purchased a zero turn mower on Saturday, May 15th. Luke was very knowledgeable and thorough. He kept working past his shift end time to complete the transaction while working with other CS agents there as they needed him to assist them as it seems that many of the staff are undertrained, especially in the CS/return area.For the not so good, when I returned on Sunday at about 10:30 am, it took about 20-25 minutes to pick-up the mower. It was not the fault on the person in the CS area but rather the lack of management available to unlock the cables securing the mowers to the building. Despite multiple requests to page someone, the manager(s) on duty never showed up to the CS area. Luckily someone on the floor had some keys but even she wasnt sure which locks could be unlocked. Thankfully one of the keys on her ring worked and I was able to take possession of the mower.Attempts to reach management on Monday, May 17th at 2 pm to provide all of the above feedback was unsuccessful as the phone rang and rang for about 10 minutes, even with a 2nd person picking up and searching for a manager on duty, before I eventually hung up.

The experience of the associates were way beyond phenomenal!!!!!!the knowledge of products cant be beat...i traveled from Gettysburg pa to home depot in Harrisburg because of the unsatisfied service from the Hanover store it was definitely worth the drive to go to the derry street in Harrisburg store for the service, from the great attention and experience of the department associate to the cashier was a wonderful experience..thanks again for the wonderful service!!!!!

Always good experience. I like their line of ryobi tools. Very handy in so many ways. To my disappointment, there were no people at cashiers, only self check out. Not sure if this is a permanent situation.

Paid for a bedroom door install and knob...contractors came to install door..but someone forgot door knob...so I had to show the guy it was paid for...I then had to go to home depot show it was paid..get the door knob and hope the guy came back to install..he did not...I called corporate...like I paid for installation of a door..the manager was given the name and number of installer...no one called to set it up...not please..door knob still not on..this store I hate more and more...always an issue

As big as Home Home is. Half of the time they dont have what I need. For instance I went looking for a double pole 60 amp circuit breaker. You guessed it not one to be found in the place. Was told the manufacturer shut down because of covid-19. This was very essential to me why would the manufacturer shut down. I needed it for heat. It was like only in the teens. Many times Im told when they dont have a product its because they stop stocking it because when it was on the shelf it didnt sell for so many days so they take it off never restock. Come on Home Depot you can get better than this. Lets try and step it up a little bit. Thanks

As usualTheir is always something needed to finish a project. Home Depot normally has it. I like supporting the small stores also. But sometimes its just easier to get what you need from whats close by.

The best home depot Ive ever been in. I shop here almost weekly. Abe in lumber is my favorite associate. He goes out of his way to help me find the best pieces. I showed up 30 minutes before they were closing and Im sorting through some rough looking Pickett fence boards. He walks over and told me not to waste my time and that he will drop some from the top. Ive had the same experience with a handful of other employees at this store. Whatever management is doing they need to keep it up because team moral is great. Happy employees make happy customers.

Come & tell me how much you like it once you no longer have a job.I gave it 3 stars because the store was clean, nicely stocked and the people were nice - except for clueless head of self checkout lady. Get a clue home depot. People like to work with people - not machines.

Lumber prices are out of control, No way you can justify $ 7.55 2 x4 x8 , If you had any self-respect , you would boycott the market by seizing to restock.....!If not you , than who else ? Your sales , are a direct indicator of how the building industry is going, thus you are an entity of which has the platform to make a difference.....

They do not have a lot of items in stock that is needed for daily use, not a huge fan of HD, but lowes is really turning there stores into a dyi stop instead of contractor convenient, in my opinion!

Just your normal home depot. Ive never had any issues here and they usually have everything I need. Its always good to check their website for whats in stock before making the trip if you need a specialty part though.

Recently been redoing our bathroom and kitchen little by little. New bath tub, trim, new dishwasher,etc. So I went in store to look at fridges, yes planning on purchasing same day. Was greeted right away and said we wanted to look a little by ourselves and the guy was persistent that we can look with him to answer any questions we have. Dont get me wrong he was doing his job and was very knowledgeable and help us find exactly what we were looking for but wish my wife and I could look in peace by ourselves before helping us. But over all a very good experience and home depot has been good to us in updating our home.

I frequently visit this store. Good amount of supplies and they sell milwaukee tools. Delicious amish farmers market next door to make the trip more worth the while. A+++

Normally I have a good experience but I honestly felt a though I was treated differently based on my race Wich I know is a bold statement but I am trying to give an honest review.

Extremely poor and rude customer service at Home Depot - Derry street. At the self-checkout. Machine declined 3 different cards 5 different times. I told the attendant that I am willing to goto a different kiosk since I feel the machine is bad. In a stern tone she addresses me and says the machine is fine and continues to keep trying to work on it. I eventually ignored her and went to a different machine which worked fine.

Had what i wanted in stock. Organized and lean store

Stopped to pick up a few sheets of wainscoting, they had absolutely zero lumber carts available in the store or in the cart corrals outside. I walked through out the entire store, garden center and parking lot for 15 minutes looking. There was atleast 25 lumber carts siting throughout the store with inventory or what I would guess to be online orders on them. This to me shows poor care for people who have to come to the store to shop.

Not only did they have almost all I needed, theres a lady thats expert in plays that helped me get the correct things.

Most of this review is for KENT back in the KITCHEN/APPLIANCES department only.Kent has been helping my wife and I with our kitchen project for well over a year now. We first met him when we were looking to replace our fridge (before a kitchen remodel was even in our budget) and he was extremely helpful and detail oriented (even though we werent ready for the fridge yet and he knew we wouldnt be a sale).A few months later, we returned and saw Kent again. This time, we were looking for the full kitchen appliance package. He was the same as the fist time - incredibly helpful, kind, and patient. Again, we didnt purchase that day.More months went by and we decided to redo our entire kitchen. Kent sat us down and began getting details from us about what we wanted (we were very unsure of what style about basically everything). Kent spent months of his time going back and forth with us via email to make sure the design he made was exactly what we wanted. Finally (after we delayed the process), we got a design that was perfect.We purchased the appliances, cabinets and countertops earlier this year (pre-Covid19) but things have been delayed significantly (on our part), so our install isnt done.Every time we go to this Home Depot (Derry Street), we make sure to stop by and see Kent. He made this entire experience as painless as he could and we would not have returned as much if it wasnt for him.I have never met anyone at any store, Home Depot or otherwise, that is like Kent. He is one of a kind.Honorary shout out to the lady (forgot her name) that works mostly at the paint section of this store. She is also very helpful and remembers us every time we go in there. She is responsible for the color of our living room! We couldnt decide for the life of us and this woman made it happen!If I were rating just the store and not these two employees, I would probably give it a 3. Nothing else stands out or is special other than these two and possibly the people at the returns counter. They are nice, too. 5 stars for them.
