Nice place to buy nick names or other things and staff very helpful . A must visit type of place ..

I am currently a assistant manager at this location! We have got rid of all the old management and replaced it with new staff! We are working on maintaining and organizing what was left on us and some days you will see the store not as stocked as other weeks due to shortage of truck deliveries! As a member a management I and the store manager gary are working on improving this location! We ask for everyone to be patient with us as we are currently running with just a few members of our staff and doing the very best we can to insure a great shopping experience at family dollar! I’m extremely disappointed in this family dollar on high Street in Hamilton. I just left there after getting into it with an employee over having my purse. I went in to get a iPhone charger and look at the Halloween decorations, made it through a couple isles. I didn’t even get to what I was looking at yet and a employee yelled from the front telling me that I need to leave my bag at the front desk. I said ‘you want me to leave my purse at the front’ and she said yes ‘I said I’m sorry I cannot leave my purse at the front all my money and everything is in it’. Then I asked if she Had all customers leave their purses at the front, and she said no only when it’s a book bag.. I wasn’t carrying a book bag I was carrying a small coach purse and I showed her that she Said if I didn’t wanna leave my purse with her while I shopped that I needed to leave and she was extremely rude and So left.WHO WOULD LEAVE THERE PURSE WITH A STRANGER?!

Cashier was very friendly and helpful, however, looked overworked and tired be bless

Dont shop here! Not only is the store busy (must be the cheap prices & convenient location), but highly disorganized with overly worked underpaid staff. How else could a good business model go so terribly wrong. Its the only store Ive ever been to where, I as a customer, was shop-lifted by the staff. Even while being polite (Im not a rude person), the manager kicked me out of the store. This story is so comical, you cant make this stuff up. If not so hilarious, I wouldnt waste my time to leave the comment. Yes you heard it right, the cashier rang my purchase and pocketed the merchandise! Oh my goodness! lol Store chain, pay your workers so they dont have to steal a dollar toy from unsuspecting customers :(

They are starting to get this store turned around from what i can tell. The shelves arent always empty and its not so dirty anymore

Each time I come to this store I am truly disappointed... todays reason is I sat outside for almost an hour after they opened due to nobody being at the store. Watched another 7 customers come and leave due to the lack of employees being there to even open the store. A man was there waiting for someone to open up so he could start working for the day but nobody showed up for the first 45 minutes of them supposed to be open.

Some shelves were empty, but I was able to get most of what I needed.

I disagree because they got some good things now you either like or ya dont I love it and Ill continue to shop and thats my 5 star thanks.Donnie

They do not allow reusable bags. Even the ones they sell. The cashier told me you have to buy a new reusable every time you shop if you dont want plastic, which basically defeats the point of -reusable-.

The store is dirty. The stock is so low Im surprised the store is still open

The store was empty, the workers are rude. Every isle was a mess. Floors were disgusting and your employees help ppl steal from that place. I used to work in the store on high street and now it makes me sick to even walk in there.

Lock your car. Carry change because youll be safer if you pass it out to the panhandlers outside. Dont go alone at night. Parking lot is just flat out scary then.Lot of criminal activity outside.The store itself is about average for a family dollar, aisles blocked with stock, anti-theft tags on absolutely everything, make sure they take them off at the time, if you have to bring something back to have the forgotten tag removed, expect to pay for it again, with or without reciept.If you can, keep going west to one of the Family Dollar stores over the bridge. Its just safer and the stores are better kept.

Be careful shopping here. I made a purchase and the cashier had difficulty with the cash register. Had me swipe my card several times saying it was denied. Couldnt produce a receipt. Upon calling the bank, found out I had indeed been charged. Called the store and was told corporate handles everything except returns not the store branch. Asked this lady to identify herself, and she refused. Asked for a manager and she says she is the manager. Contacting the BBB.

People are nice and you can run in and get what you need fast without going to a big-name grocery store or a place like Walmart

I think paying customers should be able to use their restrooms not have to potty dance across the street to white castle.

I use a walker. They were stocking and there was boxes everywhere in the isles. I had a hard time getting through. Whatever happened to clean up as you go.

They are always out of stuff, store filthy and overcrowded. I came in for a phone charger and they had the nerve to think I was gone purchase before making sure it worked and then said no refunds. Horrible customer service. I wont be coming back.

I used to work for Family Dollar so I know how the stores should be ran & look. I walked into this store today and was mortified. So nasty, cant find anything at all or stuff missing off of shelves. Will never go in this Family Dollar again.

The cashiers are very friendly, they get a bad rep, they are ONLY doing their jobs, good location.

This store was a horrible mess. Employees left stock all over the store and did not put it away. Customers were digging through shelves all over the store dumping things on the ground and it wasnt being cleaned up by employees.
