I was told by my car dealership that my brakes needed replaced yesterday, but they quoted me an extremely high price for replace them. I decided to take it to Tuffy since it is near my home and has good reviews. The store manager Michael was extremely welcoming and brought my car back for a free inspection. After the inspection Michael informed me my brakes had at least 6 months to a year left on them and did not need replaced immediately. I am extremely impressed they were honest with me and saved me some money replacing brakes that didnt need to be replaced yet. I will be back for future service, thank you!

Mike is a wonderful person , he made my day better than I imagined it would be. I called multiple times before coming in Mike was very polite and full of knowledge , I will return for any issues I have with my car it was fast getting it fixed and also Mike made it 100000 times better. So glad I came to Tuffy in grove city he made that first time experience the best one yet. Last night as I was coming home, the belt on my car had broke, no actually it had shredded. I called around to find a shop to get this fixed and found Tuffys. They were able to get me in this afternoon and got everything fixed. Michael who i dealt with was very kind and understanding. He had kept me informed during the whole venture of what was going on as it was happening. These guys were great and I plan on going back as needed. I even have a tune up scheduled for October.If you are in need of a good shop and a quick turn around then these guys are it. The quality of the work and professionalism cant be beat.

Just wanted to Say Thanks again to Mike and staff. Mike is one of the most nice and friendly person anyone will Ever Meet. He was very friendly and helpful about my situation with my Nissan Sentra. At first when the mechanic took it for a drive he thought there might be something wrong with the clutch. And I was all ready to have it fixed. But after he finally checked it all out and everything else. Mike called me up and said I could come pick up my car. Said nothing at all was wrong with it. I couldnt believe it. Most car places you take your cars to now days all lie to you to make money. Not this one! They are the Most Honest Repair shop I know of in all of Ohio. Took my vehicle there to have a noise looked at. Was told my engine was failing and proceeded to sell me an extended warranty for 1600$. After taking it to the dealership was told I was very low on oil. (Which tuffy said was fine. )Shame on your company for taking advantage of women.

Absolutely top notch professionalism! Mike and the crew are some of the most honest guys out there. I took my SUV in because the brakes were making noise. After doing a an inspection and a test drive they said they could not find anything wrong with the brakes and cleaned them up and the noise is gone...did not charge me. Also, as my son and I were in the waiting area, an older gentleman came in and told Mike that he needed an oil change because his oil light had come on in his van. Mike told the gentleman that he remembered him coming in for an oil change not too long ago and that they used full synthetic and that he didnt think it could possibly be time for another oil change yet. Mike then compared the current miles with the miles on the van from the last oil change. It had only been a little over 2400 miles. He then explained this to the gentleman and Mike had one of the service guys reset the oil light stating that it could have just been a glitch that made the light come on or that it was just never reset after the last oil change. Mike then said heres my card and you will get a free oil change the next time due to your inconvenience of coming in before your oil change was needed. These guys care about their customers! They could have charged me and the other gentleman for services that we didnt need and we would have been none the wiser. I will be a repeat customer for sure!

I can’t speak highly enough of Mike and the technicians at the Grove City Tuffy location- I have used them several times in the past and will continue to do so. Mike is the most customer service oriented mechanic I have ever met. He has been upfront and honest with us every time and want to say thank you. I used Tuffys to replace wheel bearings. I picked them because they had the best price. Mike, the manager was cheerful and pleasant from the first call. He was very helpful, explained everything fully. The work was done when he said would be. I will not have any reservations about using him again. Since I was here from Kentucky and this was an unexpected repair, I was stressed his pleasant calm demeanor made it less so.

Helpful. Fixed my new used car breaks and helped me get approved so I could afford to keep my job because I need an vehicle. They have an awesome credit kinda thing and its helpful for us single moms out there.

Outstanding customer service. I had an inspection from them previously back in January to replace a missing tail pipe. They said I needed $2300 of work to the system. I declined the service at that time. Recently the muffler fell off so I went back to talk with them about their warranty. The shop has new management. They told me to come back Monday am and they would replace the muffler and inspect the rest of the system.(even though it was not under warranty.) I also asked for an oil change. When I came back to pick up the vehicle the manager met me in the parking lot, handed me the key and told me the service was on the house to make up for the past bad experience and because I had been a long term customer.. I was flabbergasted, They really live up to their motto Done Right Period Very thankful to have been blest with this service. I will be back when I need service in the future and would recommend them to others as well.

Outstanding customer service! When cars electrical system died in the middle of a cross-country road trip, Mike was able to get it back up and running in only a few hours, when all other places I called said the best they could do was maybe tomorrow or next week. Had two quick trips to Tuffy and they were really nice, gave me a great estimate on how long things would take to be done and got me in and out in that time.

On June 10th my wife and son drove our 2011 Toyota Rav 4 as the check engine light was indicating that the RAV 4 was in need of an oil change.Friday June 11 Mike called my wife and said the Rav 4 would be done by the end of the day. My wife called the store at 5:25pm, 5:35pm, 5:50pm and was unable to leave a voicemail.Saturday morning my wife called and Mike said the oil change was completed and a senior technician was inspecting the vehicle. Upon inspection they discovered an oil leak in the oil supply line and needed to be replaced. We gave the approval to replace.I arrived at the location in the middle of the afternoon to see what was happening with the repairs. The vehicle which was on a lift. He showed me where fresh oil had leaked all over the front right underside of the vehicle and showed me a bolt that he said had been damaged by a prior repair. I examined the bolt and it showed no sign of damage. He then explained that the threads were stripped on the inside of the head where the bolt mounted. I was concerned because there were no issues prior to this showing leakage or with this particular bolt. Because of my concern I took pictures of the underside of my vehicle because there was no evidence of a long term leak.My suspicions increased further when I overheard Mike telling a customer on the phone that an AC condenser and AC compressor always needed to be replaced as a pair. I have worked in the automotive insurance field for over 26 years, in the field and as a Director for a prominent Columbus insurance company. His statement was patently and obviously false to anyone who has any knowledge of automobiles.At that time I asked him to put my vehicle back together so that I could drive it home. Mike said it cant be driven because of the damaged threads, which was strange since we drove it to the shop with no more than a check engine light and had no issues due to the alleged damaged thread. He would not not put the bolt back into the head and insisted that the vehicle should not be driven. I asked him to push it out to the driveway so that I could tow the vehicle.The vehicle was towed to a shop that I trust, at a personal cost of $240.80. While there they inspected the bolt and threads on the head and verified that neither were damaged. In fact they said the bolt could easily be screwed on by hand. They also advised that the head was cracked around the bolts and that the vehicle would need an engine. I asked how this could have happened as the only thing wrong with the RAV4 when I brought it into the shop was a check engine light. They said it is possible that someone over-torqued the bolt on the head causing the damage.I asked how far the vehicle could be driven with a cracked head and they said not far as oil would pour out causing overheating, possible smoke and eventually engine lock. They also confirmed that the vehicle had not been leaking oil as evidenced by the underneath since there would have been dried oil and debris stuck to the bottom of the vehicle.On June 15th I went back to Tuffy to discuss the issues with the car. I spoke to Mike who reiterated the issue was with the stripped bolt. When I advised him that the bolt and threads were undamaged he said it is not possible to tell that with just an inspection. I explained that it was at another shop and they also found the head was cracked at the bolts where it appear someone had over torqued them. He denied that a head could be cracked from the outside and when I talked about what the other shop said he advised that he understood but that in a court we would have to be able to prove that it occurred in his shop. Well thats disappointing, misleading information about the bolt and no attempt to find out what really happened.I emailed customer service and received an email from Rachel. I thoroughly outlined what occurred, asked for the next steps to resolve the situation and clearly outlined my next steps if we were not moving toward resolution. Still waiting on that email to be responded to at this time.

I brought my car in for regular maintenance a week ago, got a tune up and some other things, and went on with my life. Yesterday, my car starts seizing up on the freeway. I was stuck 10 miles from home. I call Tuffy, they call a tow truck, which was there in 20 minutes, pay for the tow truck, and fix the problem for free. Turns out one of the new ignition coils they installed was bad. All I lost was a couple hours of my day. I have used this shop for years, but this was the kind of experience that you remember for the rest of your life, so Ill keep going back.

July 10th 2021 I called Tuffy (Grove City location) to see if they would be able to do a front brake job. Mike answered the phone and informed me they would be able to get it done by end of day(5pm when they close on a Saturday) which was great. I showed up at around 4:55pm and they were done within the next half hour or so. I was quoted at $500 went to go pay while I was waiting for them to finish and the total came up $716. Mike said the price increase was because the the rotors were a double rotor and not a single which is what he thought it was and said he should of called me about it but didn’t and the best he could do for the price was knock $100 off. As I was waiting for the technician to put the last tire on it looked like he didn’t tighten one of the lug nuts so once they pulled the vehicle out I took the hub cap cover off and noticed one of the wheel studs was broken. So I showed mike and the tech the broken stud and the tech told me it was already like that. I told them there’s no way but if you wanna stick with that why wasn’t I informed of this? And you were just gonna put the cover on so I couldn’t see the damage and send me on my way? To which he tried to say it was in the paper work which it’s not and at this point he’s annoyed/being rude, told me to just come back Monday morning and this would be the last thing they would do for me. Today I dropped it off at 7:30am when they opened was told come back in an hour and half. Called at 9am to see if it was done, it wasn’t and they couldn’t tell me when it would be done so I showed up at 10am still wasn’t finished and told me it’d another hour. Planned on having them do the rear brakes but definitely won’t be returning to this establishment. Just seemed shady they weren’t going to inform me about the damage, every where else I’ve been they always let you know about existing damages/issues. Don’t break something try to act like nothing happened, cover it up then lie and say it was already like that and lie about it being on paper. And be rude about having to fix it. They knew they messed up that’s why they fixed it, you could just tell from their reactions/ mannerisms.

Went there yesterday, Mike squeezed me in. Steering wheel was shaking when applying brakes. Did an oil change and brakes and rotors. They got it done, no problem. Mike is a great representative for Tuffy. He is friendly and provided detailed information related to my issues. The tire was repaired with no charge which I appreciate. I have an intermittent door locking issue. I took it in, but for some reason the door locking system functioned properly and there was no charge for that service as well.I have been a Tuffy customer for years and appreciate the staff you hire.

This is the first time I have visited this auto repair shop .It was a unique visit. I was greeted by a gentlemen you made me feel like I have known him for years. Very upbeat and positive person. As I set and waited on my vehicle when any one came in or when he would answer the phone is demeaner was the same with everyone. It was actually something you do not see any more, someone who cares about the customers and shows it. Michelle is top notch I love working with her she provides excellent service and care about the ins and outs of whats needed. The mechanics at this shop do excellent work. This time around they did some work that failed but with the really good warranty on parts and services. They rectified the work needed obviously under warranty with no additional charge to make it fully correct! I love this place and will continue to give my loyalty and business to them as long as it fits with in their scope of work.

Ive been coming back to Tuffys for my various vehicles for years, mostly for small issues. They have always been prompt, fair, and customer-focused. This last time was for a major effort and I needed my truck back right away. Also, I had to remove my truck quickly from where it broke down or the police dept would be forced to tow my vehicle. Tuffys prioritized my vehicle for quick pickup. I had my truck back in less than 2 full business days. There also seemed to be a challenge with my Tuffys card but the clerk stayed on the line for something like 45 minutes to ensure I was all set. I am grateful for the staff and the quality of service Tuffys displays on a consistent basis.

Mike treated me as though I were family. I went into the office for a noise that was concerning me in the back end of my vehicle. Unfortunately it was the sub frame that had rusted out of my vehicle. Whenever I would accelerate from a stopped position I would hear a poping. When this was discovered mike alerted me and informed me that it wasnt safe to drive, especially because I have two small children. When we started to go into the logistics of fixing my vehicle we found that the part would take a couple days to come in. I dont have another vehicle to drive so mike informed me that I could use a loner vehicle they had on site. At no cost to me. Thank goodness we found this sooner rather than later. Thank you to the mechanics and especially thank you to mike for restoring my faith in auto body shops. I havent had much luck in the past with other business.

BEWARE! Blatantly and shamelessly tried to scam me. I went in because I was having some sounds with my suspension when hitting bumps. The mechanic took it for a test drive and when he came back my alternator was now mysteriously making a loud noise! He tried to convince me that I needed a whole new one. When I strongly voiced the fact that there was no sound when I came in, the mechanic went back out and fiddled under the hood for a while. Finally I was told that the sound was from the mechanic accidentally breaking a fin in the unit when he was examining it and that he would fix it. And wouldnt you know it, 10 minutes later - NO MORE SOUND. There would have been NO REASON to touch my alternator in the first place - I was in for a suspension issue!!! When I asked about this, the front desk person talked in circles and said he wasnt sure why. Do not go here!

Great experience. 👍Had a wheel bearing go out on my way from MI to NC and once I hit CBus I realized I couldnt make it any further. After calling 8 other shops I finally got ahold of Mike. Man was a pleasure to work with and got me right in. As far as the quality of the job, I am not exactly sure yet. Only reason I am giving 4/5 is because it seems odd they wouldnt have rotated the tires afterwards or at least offered so I didnt have to deal with the hum of the uneven wear from a bad bearing for the remainder of my trip. Oh well. Minor hiccup and I was able to get back home without losing a tire.Job well done.

He took time out to give me a brief rundown of what the problem we with my car.2. As a supervisor at a large warehouse I learned how important it is to know the names of all of the associates that I supervise. I sat & watched how Michelle welcomed the customer BY NAME as they enter the establishment & at one point I was politely asked to wear my mask the lol. Better price than Midas and were relatively quick for oil change and tire rotation. Coupons do not include price of “parts” (oil filter) which does not state that on Valpak coupon. Competitors usually say excludes disposal fee and tax. This one only had a 5 qt max stipulation. +tax

Took our car in for brake pads. After checking the car out it was determined that we would need rotors for the front and the backs would need brakes as well. After giving us several discounts he finally got it down to an affordable price for us. We had some errands to run while they worked on the car, and when we came back to pick her up the guys working on her said they could save the back breaks which saved us nearly 200.00 dollars. We will definitely take our car back to them when it is time to finally really change the back brakes. They were excellent at showing us and telling us exactly what we needed and did not try and do more work than was necessary and charge us for services we did not need.

Saturday am my low tire pressure light comes on, noticed my rear right tire almost flat drove to tuffy completely flat. Told them to check everything before diagnosing and to call once they know. Call back said bearings are ok and I had a bolt in my rear right tire. Don’t diagnose say that’s what it is without being sure! Not a good experience.

I had to wait due to them being short staffed, but Mike was courteous to everyone who came in and even though they were booked solid, got me in as a walk in for a full brake job.

It did not take very long to get my oil changed the girl at the front desk was very pleasant. Im very happy.Was back again and Mike was great, very busy but made my experience joyful! Thanks again for the service!

I consider myself very lucky that my car began displaying problems on Stringtown Road in Grove City close to Tuffy. It sounded like the entire bottom of my car was falling off. I had never been to Tuffy before. I had plenty of good mechanics. Tuffy was a most pleasant surprise. The mechanic, Jerry should win a artist award/ trophy. Not only did he repair the problem he fixed approx. 4 other issues ,serious problems some of which were known to me but not all (with my permission of course). I am now a lifetime customer of Tuffy. They are honest and very good at what they do. They (Jerry and Michelle) saved me a lot of money through the repairs. I will likely never go to another shop ever again.

Just bought a used Foreign car. An Audi Q5. Wasn’t sure if they could work on it, but they did! Very informative and did great work replacing break pads and rooters. Also replaced the break sensor that was somehow ‘disabled’???A lot better price than the Audi dealer. Thanks so much and I will be back in the future .

This place has fixed my car twice for two different things, they are fast and do an amazing job for a decent price, they dont juat take your whole wallet which is nice! Michelle front desk is so nice and understanding and make sure she calls you with any updates with your vehicle

This was my first experience with the business. Michelle, at the front desk, was so very helpful right from the moment I walked in. She was patient in my providing details & tryjng to explain “the noise” my vehicle was making. They were able to take a look right then & within a few minutes the mechanic (I believe his name was Zach but I could be mistaken)brought in a quick video from his phone that showed me (as he explained to me) the issue at hand. Michelle gave me information on the financing product(s) and was on the ball getting the parts ordered & delivered within minutes. As I sat in the office while my vehicle was being worked on, a few other customers came & went. Each time, Michelle was very friendly and informative. It’s a good feeling knowing (& experiencing guest hand) that there are still those that believe in providing quality customer service. I’m definitely keeping this business in my contact list for future reference. Thanks to all the staff there at Tuffy in Grove City.

Took vehicle in for front end alignment after I had already replaced the struts, sway bar links, and driver side cv axel. Was told the tie rod ends were seized and that they needed to replace the inner and outer on both sides and it would be around $960 dollar (including the alignment). Are you kidding me... $1000 for an alignment and tie rod replacement. I can get the complete set for both sides for under $100 and do it in a couple hours in my driveway.EditTo address the reply I received about how doing the work at home is not the same as getting it done by a professional and that the parts are warrantied... Yeah I get that, however according to the invoice you provided I was going to be charged $237.98 just for the outer tie rod ends. Even Moog who makes some of the best suspension parts around only charges 53.99 per outer tie rod end. So your going to charge me more than double what I would pay for quality name bransd warrantied parts. Sorry, this is highway robbery.

They promptly took me in at my appointment time, completed my oil change, and inspection. The list of what they suggested I do was short, itemized, and no pressure at all. They’re offering a good price for brakes until 9/30/20, and they boast that labor is less than Midas & Firestone.

Jerry and Michelle were both amazing. They took what was a stressful experience and made me feel at ease. This was the first time I had ever been to a shop that they treated me like family. Jerry also took the extra time to show me what he did and how he fixed everything. I left there happy. They have a customer for life now.

Michelle is wonderful. Always professional and helpful to get what needs done. Mechanics are fast and knowledgeable. First auto repair shop I dont dread going to because I know they are fair and honest.
