Elizabeth, the third shift worker, is an amazing and hard worker. She is super nice, very caring, works hard, can run the store with no problems by herself, always has everything stocked and knows where everything is, she works fast paced, and she is all together a wonderful person! She is definitely the only reason I give this store 5 stars because the rest of the workers are no near half as qualify as Elizabeth is.

I have been coming in this store for years for my morning coffee and lunch for the day , here lately Im greeted by only one friendly cashier willing to help with anything and always with a great attitude , however thats not the situation with the other cashier so today I asked to speak with a manager so I could let her know about the unfriendly cashier that always seems to be on her phone or outside smoking or just no where to be found and to my surprise the unfriendly one always on the phone and or outside smoking or missing was the manager so heres where I find myself leaving a review.

This is my first negative experience at the 7-Eleven in Greer at the corner of highway 29 and highway 80. This was actually my first noteworthy experience of any sort at the particular store. Generally this store is exactly what I want in a gas station/convenience store. They are well stocked and generally clean (even the bathrooms... usually). I feel safe stopping here at any time of day or night. The workers are efficient, friendly but not overly chatty and everything runs smoothly.I feel I should add, as a disclaimer of sorts, I have never left a multi-paragraph review for a gas station in my entire life. I am not a Karen and none of these things individually would have inspired me to write out this review. Collectively they resulted in this. When I arrived at the store I parked at a pump and as I was walking in I saw 3-4 people gathered in the parking lot right by the door. They were just talking and hanging out, being a little loud but not any kind of bother really. The cashier behind the counter was sitting behind the counter behind the register on his phone and he glanced up as I came in. As I walked around the store I heard the people from outside come in the store but continue to use the same volume but now I can hear bits of what they are saying but the only parts Im really getting are the emphatic expletives. Thats whatever though. I have been told I could make a sailor blush.I was curious why the cashier did not ask the group to use their inside voices at least, there were other customers in the store. I dont mind hearing those things but other people might. While standing in line I realized that one of the members of the boisterous group is behind the counter ringing up the others. This conversation, cursing and all, isnt being contained by an employee because there is an employee participating in the f-bomb jamboree. I had no way of knowing the person from the parking lot party was an employee because he did not have a uniform on.Still, none of this is anything I would complain about normally. Ive seen gas station employees get in fist fights in the parking lot. I never complained. Now back to the cashier who remembered his uniform. While Im in line he is apparently deep into something important in his phone. The employee from the parking lot seemed to really be struggling to ring up his friend and the uniformed cashier didnt even glance up to try to help his coworker or any of the other customers trying to make their purchases. Its possible he was on a break but I think he would have said that when I APOLOGIZED FOR ASKING HIM TO RING ME UP.Seriously. His coworker is over at register 2 struggling while trying to ring up the friends he has coming in to hang out and the phone-bro employee is just ignoring the situation until I walked up and asked him to check me out. At least the other dude was trying even if he has a foul mouth and doesnt understand having people hanging out and being loud is not a good look for anyone.I felt like I had to apologize for asking an employee to do their job. I didnt have some above-and-beyond level request I demanded be completed. I just needed to pay for my things and the employees lack of customer service skills or any regard for his job led to me saying Im sorry and writing this out. That is ridiculous. Tell him if he hates his job that much, have some self respect and find something else.

I know its hard finding decent help now a days. All the men and a few of the women servicing customers are very good to deal with. But there have been more ladies working that are rude, to the point I will no longer gas up or purchase there. It is sad cause the station is a mile from my house and prices always great.

Without notifying you they are putting a $100 hold on your bank account when you authorize your debit card at the pump. Most gas stations do only $1.00 and have a notices placed on their pumps. I don’t know about you but floating $100 until my bank releases this holds is not something I can always float. Some banks take 3-5 business days to release holds. That means Saturday Sunday and Holidays they don’t get released. No apology. All they said is that is what we do. Well what I do is post on social media the truth and let the public know how they are not truthful with them. Will never be back there. May or not make a difference but I can chose where to spend my money and chose to make sure the public is aware of their deceit. I understand covering costs but $100 is excessive when most vehicles only take $20-40 to fill.
