I went in to get a color remover for a friend and was told by the manager on duty Erin that it couldnt be sold to me because it was professional grade color remover and that I would have to be a professional or cosmetology student to have it sold to me. I just went to get my friend (who didnt want to come in the store anyway because she had color remover in her hair) she went in and had it sold to her with no problem. She is also not a professional.....but she is white sooooooooo yeah.

Dont shop here, apparently they only want to do business with white folk. Had a friend of mine whose black come in to buy color remover and was told she cant purchase it, unless she was a professional or student. Few minutes later, her white friend she came with came in to buy same thing, had no issue whatsoever making the transaction with, no question asked. If you scroll down you can see more reviews of black people feeling uncomfortable being in here. This place has a history of doing this, stay away

Just had one of the employees act like I was coming in to steal something. While in my work apron which has my company’s logo on it. Don’t want to say that the exchange was racially motivated but considering that they were both behind the counter talking and once i walked inside the lady inched closer and closer to me to ask what I needed made me feel like I wasn’t welcomed in the establishment. Not the first time I’ve had a rude encounter with the same lady but it will be the last time I walk in there.

So I went to Sally’s the other to pick up some detangler spray. I found what I needed and my total was $5.39. I have no idea what the clerks name was but she was a Black lady. Sorry to throw my people under the bus but I’m just telling me story. I handed the clerk $5.45 and she counted it but she counted it wrong and entered $5.40 as the cash given. Then she said “Do you want your penny back? Sighs. I hesitated before writing this review but the squeaky wheel gets the oil. I said to myself in my head things I won’t write. It’s the principal of things for me it just irritated me to ask if I want MY penny back. I politely said to her Yes I do want a penny back (but I said in my mind duh it’s mine 🤬). It felt like she was being petty 😞. The end of the day she gave me the wrong change. I was owed .6 cents in change not a penny.

The customer service of this location is impeccable! During the stay at home order in NC I called and the woman who helped me was able to listen to what I needed over the phone and recommend products and give me instructions.I went in today and the sales woman who helped me looked at a picture and was able to recommend products based on that.The staff here is knowledgeable and seems genuinely eager to help their customers!

I was in search of a straight edge razor and struck out at the Sally’s location near Wendover. I was advised to go to the one on Lawndale, but on my 20 minute drive I decided to call ahead to make sure they had the product in stock. I called 3 times to no avail. The first time I was told to put on hold and waited for 10 minutes. After assuming that the employees forgot about me, I called again but the phone did not ring. So I called one more time, and the phone rang and it was disconnect shortly after. When I got to the store, I quickly found out the razors I was looking for were out of stock. I told an employee there about my situation, trying to get a reasonable explanation for why they wasted my time. She resorted to blaming the lack of customer service to her having to attend to customers in the store first. After she called me out for trying to argue with her, I politely left so she could attend to the line that she mentioned was forming behind me. That is probably the last time I will set foot in that Sally’s.

Absolutely the best service I have ever received. Brittany, the Sally’s woman who helped us, went above and beyond to help us find all the right product we needed. She walked us step by step through what we needed and then gave us pointers to help us. I will 100% be going back there because the customer service from Brittany was so amazing and the products were so well priced and did the job incredibly well. I went from bleach blonde back to natural dark brunette thanks to Brittany and Sally’s.

If you want to get followed..this is your store....Ill stick to the other beauty stores around. Its a big difference between being kind and helpful, than pretending to be kind to follow you around. Note to staff:When you only follow the black people, guess what......the white people will steal from you...because you arent paying attention to them.

I called ahead about dying my hair orange and Lisa I believe was quick and helpful over the phone. When I was in store Lisa actually asked if I needed help and I mentioned the orange hair and she knew exactly what I needed from looking at my hair! I mentioned I wanted almost Paramore orange hair and turns out Haley herself sells orange hair dye at sally and Lisa went above and beyond to make sure it was the right orange for me. In Addition to that I mentioned that I’m a Deva Curl girl and she showed me an adorable alternative that was basically the same thing! Before check out she ran through a list of things I would need to dye my hair correctly to make sure I had all that I needed and even gave me examples of what my hair (light brown) would look like between the lightening process and the dyeing process. She also saved me from using toner explaining that it would “pop” more without it, which is exactly what I’m looking for!In conclusion before going to this Sally Beauty I stood in Ulta for about 20 minutes without anyone checking on me and I was a little lost about how the products but when I came here I knew exactly what I needed and what to do in maybe 10 minutes maximum. Highly suggest this place they really seam like they know what their doing and they want to help their customers have the best results. 10/10!!!

The employee who helped me sold me a product I wasnt comfortable even tho I had already picked out one I was familiar with. Got home used the product and it did not work. I have tried calling the store to resolve the issue but the phone rings and then hangs up.

Small store but normally fairly well stocked. Most staff is fairly knowledgeable, but not all of them are. Overall its a smaller store, but adequate for most needs

Customer Service at this location is terrible. Especially from the manager. Or the girl that appears to be the manager, dark skin (asian) Burgandy hair. She is very rude and acts like she is offended if you ask her a question. I left there a month ago and drove all the way to the Summit Ave. location because she is soo rude. I dont plan to go back to this location. Upper management needs to address this because people shouldnt have to drive further out of their way to buy products just because of people who dont want to be friendly and do their job.

Customer service over the phone is TERRIBLE. i called and asked simply if they had a certain hair dye to help dye my hair without bleaching. they passed the phone over to someone who could be more of assistance. when i explained to her what i wanted she made me feel like a complete idiot! She asked me if it was virgin hair and i said yes i went natural a few months ago she then asked have i ever dyed my hair. i told her yes, over a year ago but im natural now. she then proceeded to tell me i was wrong and that if ive been natural for a year my hair should be a foot now and then counted it out for me. i thought that was EXTREMELY rude for her to do. i am not stupid. if she would have listened to me instead of talking over me and saying no or mmm when i was trying to tell her information, she would have understood me better. Her attitude was awful. she may have had a hard day, but everyone has those sometimes and working in retail, you have to get over that and give good customer service to everyone. i should know, ive worked in retail for years now. anyways, long story short....CUSTOMER SERVICE WAS TERRIBLE.
