I was at first hesitant, reading the reviews here about customer service at this place. But I must say, they were great, in all aspects. Couldnt go smoother, and the customer service (Craig) was great too! I think the bad reviews must be about an older crew.

I wish I could give zero stars. There was a crack in my windshield and I went through Safelight to get this glass replaced. The replacement glass was ordered four times each time the replacement glass was ordered, it arrived broken. The last time my appointment was canceled the guy was actually in the middle of replacing the glass when he saw the replacement glass had scratches in it. My appointment has been cancelled and rescheduled five times. My windshield is still not replaced and the customer service is horrific! I am going on a full month without being able to use my car safely. When trying to reach a customer service rep, I’ve gotten disconnected multiple times and each time I’m being connected to some random person who could not care at all about the situation or have any knowledge, responsibility, or accountability. There seems to be no managers to actually oversee the jobs being done and the appointments and orders just get logged into a system that they don’t control. Please do yourself a favor and never use this business! I wish I could go through another vendor but at this point it’s already been logged through my insurance and I have to wait it out.

Update: I had to change the review from 4 stars to 2 stars. Changed windshield from here. I was promised 5 hours initially when I dropped my car. When it was nearly 5 hours, I called the service and found out they needed 2 more hours which was understandable. When I went back to the place after 7 hours to pick up my car, they werent still done with my car. I had to wait another an hour and half for calibration finished and passed. Few days later I got a call from Safelite saying that calibration was not passed which made me confused since I was told that it was passed last time I was there. Again, I was asked to come back to finish the calibration again which will take about 45 to an hour. I went there again and found out that it did pass last time, but they had an error on their side system while sending the data to server and lost the data. I had to stay for 2 hours and half again for their mistake. So, in total, I wasted 4 hours of my time excluding the 2 hours extended time they requested on the first day plus the travel time. BTW, the staff was nice and polite. They do their job, so if you have enough time. It wont be a problem.

Incompetent: my van has been sitting in the driveway more than A MONTH while these guys ordered the wrong window 3 times. I took it in once, waited hours for it just to have them tell me they ordered the WRONG WINDOW. They came to my house to replace it TWICE before the technician said they ordered the wrong window. It is still going to take another few weeks to get one damn window replaced. So effing exhausting dealing with this business.

I should have known there would be issues when they dont have a phone number to reach them. They list a number but it just loops you and you dont actually speak with anyone. I had a crack in my windshield. in the beginning of March. Had to set up appointment online only. Closest appointment was 2 weeks away I fill in all the information and Safelite was coming to the house. The day before my appointment they call and say that since my vehicle is a 2021 it needs to be brought to a shop and they have to order a windshield and the vehicle camera needs to be recalibrated. What they were doing in the 2 weeks time before my appointment who knows? Clearly at Safelite they dont have enough employees to monitor all these orders coming to them. Guess what I had to make another appointment online only. Another week and a half . Once again , they send me an email they will be coming to the house this time. I knew that was incorrect so I called my insurance and had them speak to Safelite. Seems that they were able to reach an actual person with a special number. Get this all straightened out, plus they said my vehicle camera would need to be recalibrated but they would be able to do it. The day of my appointment comes, I go to Safelite and they said do you have an appointment? Yes, had to show the phone as proof as they werent able to find my info. They verified my info and now couldnt find my windshield!!! The guy said he would call back, but of course never did. Had to call insurance again to get thru to Safelite. Meanwhile, with all of this I have had to get a car rental thru my insurance. The crack on my windshield just keeps getting bigger and I didnt feel safe driving it. They get thru to someone and they have ordered the wrong windshield!! Instead of a Nissan one they ordered an Infinity. I dont have any confidence in this company at all. Once again , they now had to order the correct windshield and I had to go online to make an appointment. Another week and half away! Seriously, I feel that I should be compensated for all this time wasted with getting a simple windshield replaced which is their main business! I have already had to spend $10 a day for my car rental that the insurance doesnt pick up. My appointment day arrives and I drop off the car. Everything was fine. I get the message that my vehicle is ready today. Pick it up and they installed the windshield but didnt recalibrate the vehicle camera. Never told before this that they were unable to do it. That was the whole reason they had me bring it to the shop instead of replacing my windshield at my home was because they needed to recalibrate the camera! Now I had to extend my car rental once again. If you drive my car it has all these error messages. I hope that is because of the recalibration that needs to be done. My car is 3 months old. I am dropping it off at Nissan tomorrow to get it done. Learn from my experience and if you need a windshield replaced go thru your dealership instead. I should have done that in the first place instead of dealing with this joke of a company. Safelite was nothing but a serious headache for me and offered me no compensation and not even an Im sorry. As they dont take any responsibility for this!

I wanted to support my local business and decided to have my windshield replaced by Safelite Great Neck Location. Booked my appointment on line and it was set for Saturday 12/26/2020 between 12 noon and 5. The tech assigned to my install was Carlos. On Saturday 12/26/20, 4pm and no tech and shown up or called. I called him, he tells me he was in a car accident and would have to reschedule. I rescheduled with him immediately for an install in their shop for Saturday 01/02/21. I arrive on Sat 01/02/21 and was informed by the manager that there was no appointment for me. She further told me that their techs are not privy to the schedule and therefore not authorized to take appointments. No apology, no can you come back later nothing at all. I walk to the service area and wanted to speak to Carlos-the tech that took my appointment, he would not speak to me. Then some tech comes from behind the car he was working on, rips off his mask and starts arguing and yelling at me not to speak to his manager that way, I seriously though it was going to come to blows. Do not use this location. Totally unhappy with the treatment and service I received from the manager on duty and their muscle that ripped off his mask. I guess he is their spokesperson. I contacted Blue Chip Auto Glass located in Williston Park and I have an install appointment for Tuesday 01/05/2. Thank you Safelite for a horrible experience, enjoy the day

Great customer service. I had a water leak in my car that I thought was coming from the windshield they replaced. As it turns out it was just a weird coincidence that drain under my cabin air filter was clogged with 6 inches of water. The store manager Angel and his employee Ray were very nice and accommodating during this process. I felt embarrassed when it turned out not to be the windshield but they said that they were glad to help me figure out the problem and directed me on what to do next to get this fixed.

Had a new windshield installed by safelite at their location. They did a great job. They were extremely courteous and professional. My vehicle was returned spotless both inside and outside. Called when the vehicle was ready to get picked up. If you need glass replaced give them a call. They come to you or you can go to them.

Horrible. First technician came out and broke the replacement windshield, then they made me wait a week and the second technician called and said it was too hot to replace, third technician was supposed to come out and couldn’t find the dealership where they were supposed to come out and fix, 4 th guy found the place and said it was too late for him to work , finally had to turn my vehicle into Subaru and Safelite had to take the Bill. Customer service was a nightmare I wouldn’t recommend this place to my worst enemy

Safelite came to replace the windshield on my car. I took time off work to meet them. They brought the wrong glass. There was no offer to obtain the correct glass and return that day. I was offered another day during the week, so I would have to take off work again. I refused. I had to wait until the next available weekend appointment, or 8 days. No accommodation was made for me to correct their error.When Safelite returned, the windshield was successfully replaced. However, my rear view mirror was put back on at an angle. It now cuts off my field of vision and changes position when I change the position for bright lights behind me and then flip back.Thank you, Safelite!

They are one of the best when you need auto glass repair or replacement. In the past the mobile services is 5 stars. However my last mobile services is not so great.When the first attempt, i take off 2 hours of work for the replacement at my home. When the installer arrival and about to start replace and find a crack on the corner of the new windshield. So not is done and I have to reschedule. So, I pick in shop work, I thought it will be better. Guess what, same thing happen. few week late, visit at the great neck, I booked appointment weeks ago. When I go there and wait for over 45 min, they told me both windshield in the stock are damaged so they cant do it and I have to come back some other time.Finally get it done right on the third attempt! That totally waste my 2 half days of my time! If they inspecd the stock before I come than I wont waste 45 mins of my time. Because we all have works to do as well, please respect your customers time!

I had my windshield replaced and now the entire windshield has condensation buildup and I have to drive with my wipers on at all times. I went to my dealer and was told it was from faulty installation. There was also a scratch where the tape was placed to hold the windshield and when my windshield was being assessed for warranty eligibility.. the technician, Raymond, literally cracked off a piece of my windshield in front of me. When I noticed the piece of glass he removed off my windshield (as the part he removed was now on another part of my windshield) and asked him about it.. he told me it was from impact. It was unbelievable.. He then told me it was my fault for leaving the tape to hold the glass for too long and did not fix the problem.

Stay FAR AWAY from this shop. I had the worst experience one can ever have. Angel sent a tech to my house twice, only to find out special tools were needed to do the job. After taking off work twice to meet the tech, I then bring the truck to Great Neck (40 mins from my house). I was then told the work would not be guaranteed. After waiting for the truck for 5 days - I was then told to come pick up the truck at 12:30pm, i arrived at 1:30pm and was told they will need another 4 hours. Are they serious?? The techs broke by clothing hangers in the headliner, and didnt even clean up the truck when they were done. BEWARE...

I checked with various offices to try to change my windshield. I made an appointment to go into this store because it was available sooner than waiting for them to come to me. They double booked appointments so i had to wait longer than originally told but the waiting room was comfortable enough and I got some work done via wifi. The ones working there were nice and kind and even re-positioned my EZ pass because it wasnt put back exactly where i had it and wanted it. They took care of me like i was a relative. Thank you Safelite!

Isaac answering the phones is very unprofessional. The replacement job was done very poorly. Im so mad at myself for using them, and this particular location because of their advertised convenience. Isaac, the manager, or the boy posing as a manager answering the phones is un-knowledgeable about his job and the staff at this location and is rude as helll. I can see why hes holding that energy only over the phone.

I saw how they deliver the glasses and they all came in unprotected, not even wrapped, no wonder why they have so many scratches.I even talked with this executive lady who promised she will call me back,but she never did for 3 days.Theres no one who actually cares about customers here,nor responsible for the problems occurring.

As others have said, the guy behind the counter really doesnt care about service (or anything for that matter). He literally wouldnt stand up from his desk to walk to the window and help me when I arrived. Instead, he yelled from his rolling chair in the corner of the office and our entire conversation was with me leaning through the window. Anyway, he told me somehow a safelite rep managed to move and cancel my appointment that morning. I asked if there was any way he could still do it. He said its probably too late to get the parts and seemed irritated that Id even ask him.The best part is that I then left, called safelite support, and the rep said she would call the store to see if he can still do it. After a few minutes she came back and told me the manager answered, but hung up on her, and now he was no longer answering her calls.

I waited a week for the mobile station to come in and change my windshield. on the day of their appointment they called with an excuses and asked me to come in so they can get it replaced. I heart from many people that they cancel appointments all the time. Do not believe a word they tell you.
