I had the need of a replacement key fob and visited this local Ace Hardware. The ordering process was quite quick and I was out the door to await a phone call that the fob had arrived. Sooner than expected I was notified on the arrival of the fob and I scheduled a appointment to have the new one programed to my car. Upon arriving at the store I was met by Sam (Sorry I didnt get his last name) he was courteous and review the process with a fellow associate and we proceeded to the car for what I thought would be a quick and easy programming. Sam had a device that hooked into my cars computer and proceeded to go through the programming step on a tablet. After several attempts to program the new fob he contacted the first level of support. I was sitting in the passenger seat while he was in the drivers seat. I could hear the tech support walk him through the steps. At this time Sam began to apologize for the delay. I have been in customer service for 45 years and I know that Sam was working hard to resolve the problem. I am not one to get overly agitated with the roadblocks that technology can through in the way of an easy programming process. I decided to leave Sam alone with the technical support and went and sat on a pallet of stones and enjoyed the clear sunny day. After approximately 1/2 hour Sam exited the car and again apologized for the delay and the problems, I told him not to worry about it things happen. He said he spoke with the second level support and they determined that the new fob was faulty. Unfortunately while trying to program the new fob the car when into a security mode and would not allow the keys or fob to be programed and they would have to order another. The next day I called and Sam let me know that the new fob had not arrived yet and I chose to go and pick up the car since that were able to remove from the security mode and was able to get my old fob and key working. When I arrived Sam again apologized and said that the new fob had just been delivered. So he started the programming again and within 15 minutes both the old and the new fob and key was programmed. Success!! Sam continued to apologize and I continued to assure him that all was good on my end, I was just happy to have a working fob. Sam was patient, did not get flustered and worked through the process. Knowing that Sam did not intend for this to happen there was no reason for me to become upset, ranting and raving normally does not get you anything but high blood pressure. So to Sam I say thank you for your diligence and patience, you are a credit to customer service.

They carry some brands you cannot get at big box stores, but on this day, NO employee was wearing a mask, and there customer service left something to be desired. Abiding by mask and social distance rules are a deal breaker for me. I am done with Ace Hardware.

The employees at this store we’re not wearing masks when I visited this weekend 4/17. When I asked the cashier why she wasn’t wearing a mask she said “ we are legally not supposed to answer that question”. Very disappointing!

I have always loved real hardware stores. In my area, the only real hardware stores left are the ace hardware stores, and I have two I generally shop.Today I went to Bradley Ace hardware store number 14 431, located at 31 44th St., Southwest Wyoming, MI. I was distressed to find that most of the workers were not wearing masks. Furthermore, there was a sign posted at the BACK of the store stating that 25 customers was the limit in the store, but there were far more than 25 customers in the store. No one was at the door monitoring that. I wear my mask to protect other people from germs I may have. I count on other people to wear masks to protect me from germs they may carry. The fact that the workers didn’t even care enough about the customers to be wearing masks, convinced me that I will not be able to return to the store. But even worse than that, they are not asking people to stay far enough apart. In fact, while I was standing at the customer service desk waiting for my order to be brought out to me, a worker without a mask called the man behind me who also was not wearing a mask up to the counter to stand next to me, within one and a half feet of me. There was nowhere for me to go, because the next space at the counter was also occupied by a customer with no mask and attended by a worker with no mask.If businesses choose to continue to operate this way, we are going to find ourselves shut down again, and that is a terrible tragedy. In order to vote with my wallet, and to protect my family from potential exposure, I will not be returning to this Ace Hardware.

Very disappointed in the service i received today! Ive been a loyal customer for 15 years and found today that the personal attention that kept me coming back to this store is gone? No we dont have is all I got? In the past the sales person would have made an effort to find it for me! I had to suggest to the sales team (3 people) how to get me the items i needed. I highly recommend this location if you are looking to purchase STIHL equipment. This ACE location has significantly more STIHL products available/on display than the average ACE location (that I have been to, at least), and some of their employees seem to be very knowledgable on them. That is a major plus for me, since I am a huge STIHL fan. I purchased a FS70R weed whacker about a year ago and a BR430 back pack blower from them today. A big note on STIHL purchases as well - be sure to ask about the double warranty you can get on your tool by purchasing oil or premixed fuel at the time of purchasing the tool.

Today my husband called and wanted to find it out what happened to the equipment they serviced for us back in October. Knowing we are older I asked my son to go with my husband because I didn’t want us to get taken advantage of. Tom the manager became angry when my son recommended calling our lawyer to look into it.His advice was it needs to be run constant we called the manufacturer today and the manufacturer said TOM’a advice is wrong. They do no recommend a power washer be run in the winter in Michigan.I will constantly share this horrible experience.

Was getting paint and the person serving me was so helpful! She even had a coupon at the register for me to use. When we compared their paint prices with the big box stores, the price per gallon was about the same. I prefer supporting smaller local businesses when I can.

For everyday hardware needs, forget the big box stores and their marginal discounts. My experience at Bradley Ace was so much easier and far more beneficial. I came in with a list of several DIY projects and in need of suggestions and advice. Tom Chew was very helpful and professionally knowledgeable. I was out of there in less time than roaming the aisles of a big box and went home with the best hardware and advice for getting each task done.

I broke a dowel rod trying to put together a poorly-designed shelf. I came here looking for one but they didn’t have the proper length. The associate looked high and low. I was about to walk out when he came running after me. He suggest that I buy a long dowel rod of the same girth I needed and just cut it down. I asked if he could cut it and he said yes. This is one of the best customer service experiences I’ve ever had. Keep up the good work!

Manager gave me a unreasonably hard time when an item rang up less than it was marked on the shelf. Rather than offering to go look to see she was wrong she just wanted to argue with me that it mustve been in the wrong spot. It was $2.50 on a several hundred dollar purchase.

I really needed to talk to a service guy about my bucket saw for just a min. I have a ms150 top handle saw that will not stay running. I’m in the middle of cutting a tree down and really needed help. They don’t have a saw to sell me and said it will be weeks before can look at my saw. Horrible customer service.

I typically like to keep my business local and especially work with businesses that are closest to where I live. But there was a sale on a patio set from 4.1-4.15. Called them day of sale they couldn’t order because was not in stock told me to call back later. I called back on the 4.15 the service desk told me they could not order it and instead told me corporate switched it out with a diff set that is comparable but the chairs don’t swivel and that’s huge for me. He told me flat out they could not order and could not honor the ADVERTISED SALE. Told me maybe call another store. That’s a great Idea because Rylee Ace hardware wasn’t able to order but told me to come in store and work something out. Bottom line is you have people working giving wrong info or they can’t operate a computer because all I had to do it order was just check what stores had it. I was able to order the PATIO SET your employee said I could not buy or order.
