Good selection. Knowledgeable staff. I generally visit to pick up some beer. I usually leave with the beer and a nice bourbon, scotch, or whiskey to add to my collection.

Has gone from helpful engaged owners helping shoppers make informed selections to clerks peddling beer, wine, etc. Where this used to be the place to find something new and interesting in the craft beer world, now they just stock variety and dont know when breweries are closed (and therefore their beers are old) and still sell beers canned 12 months ago.

We have been shopping here since they opened. We stopped in yesterday to stock up and had the most abysmal experience I’ve ever had in a shop.After making our selection, and unable to partake in the tasting at the front door due to the representative carrying on long conversations with the six tasters who were not moving, we went to the cash register. The woman (with the three year old son who is having a birthday party) had an open bottle of sparkling wine that she was sharing at the register. There were three people with cups enjoying the sparkling wine.She was carrying on a conversation with a couple of friends who moved enough to let us approach the counter. The sparkling wine bottle disappeared. She continued her conversation with her friends who stood behind us. When she asked, “do you have New Years plans?” I almost answered before her friends responded and I noticed she was not even looking at us.She showed them the flier she created for her son’s birthday party. I heard about how he comes to work with her, as this entire conversation took place during my transaction and her friends continued to stand behind us.She did wish us a very lukewarm Happy New Year before we reached the door.Never again. I am taking my business to an establishment that values its customers.My experience yesterday was 10-Star RUDE.

COVID-19 is challenging and I appreciate the effort to slow the spread by prohibiting customers from going inside. However, the doors were locked, there were signs saying no one was allowed in the building (but no signs telling us what we could actually do) and both employees sat inside on their phones. Eventually one of them came to the door, slowly put on his mask, and cracked the door enough for his face to be seen. He seemed annoyed that I didnt call in the order ahead of time and not very helpful in my selection of beer. Maybe because he had to talk about beer instead of loftier wine or spirits, who knows. This totally confirmed my impression of this place being snobbish and I will never go back.

I went in looking for a gift, and they found me the absolute best bang for the buck with the budget I had. The recipient LOVED what they selected. I couldnt have had the knowledge to pick through their huge selection so I was very grateful for the help. We paired it with some meats and cheeses which they also helped pick out. I will be going back for sure, next time to shop for myself!!

A great wine selection. A decent liquor selection, as well. If its not there, they can order it, providing Michigans liquor control allows it for sale. The Saturday tastings were great, too; a great way to find good beer and wine.

This place is pretty stellar when it comes to craft beer, wine, and even mead. The employees all have areas they are well versed in when it comes to what youre looking for if you cant decide. The first floor is mainly liquor and beer, while the 2nd floor is dedicated to wine with a small, but growing section of mead. Not to mention its right next to a pizzeria. Check out the crushed grape, you wont be disappointed.

Laurie and her team came in and did a wine tasting event for our office at Forest Hills Financial and we couldnt have been happier. The cheese and meat tray was delicious and the crackers and dip were top notch. We had six different wines for our clients to sample and there was never a moment were someone had an empty glass. Laurie was extremely friendly and knowledgeable about all the wines and made this event great. We are going to use the Crushed Grape for our next event for sure!

Good selection of beer, spirits/liquors, lots of wines upstairs, and even mixers for cocktails.... Seems a bit pricey on some things but overall things are fair price for the most part. Definitely not a hidden gem/off the beaten path type shop so dont expect them to have or be holding onto any of the real specialty/rare juices that are highly sought after for long once they get them in. Staff is really knowledge but honestly slightly condescending and maybe seem to have a bit of a know-it-all tone.

One of the Ciders - Pux Lucy - that we purchased was sour - tasted like vinegar. The lady at the counter agreed it was bad, said she would contact the company, and offered to do nothing about it. Not good customer service! She remembered us, but decided the $8 cider was our problem and not hers.
