Wow! I had a tremendously great experience. They picked up my car, did all the repairs and brought it back to me, it was great. They were easy to work with over the phone and online. Ill be back many times over.

They are always fast, fair, accurate and complete. I service my Honda (285K miles), Acura (135K miles), and Subaru (299K miles) cars here for the last 5 years. At this point I would not take them anywhere else. Ive never had a misdiagnosis or had to return the car because there was an improper repair.

The AutoCentric team was very friendly and thorough in helping us diagnose an electrical issue. The fix was done promptly and price was what we expected to pay for that service. Jeff was great to work with and we felt the service was top notch. I’ll return next time we have any problems.

Auto Centric is a very clean operation and cares about what their customers think about the business. They have excellent customer service. However, they were unable to find the problem with my vehicle at the time. Which was repaired for less then what they charged me for the inspection on my vehicle. They also broke my engine cover but offer to pay to replace it. Although Toms mechanics could not help me at all. Tom was very nice to work with.

Jeff was extremely friendly and well-spoken from the time I called him until I picked up my car. I did not have a ride back to my apartment while my car was in the shop, and Dan was nice enough to give me a ride back. I have never been offered a ride when dropping my car off at any other shop so I was completely blown away. Highly recommend.

These guys do an amazing job every time. A little pricey compared to some but not outrageously over priced like a lot of other places but the work they do is well worth it. Very friendly, extremely helpful and very thorough with their inspections which shows by how informative they are with your estimate on repairs. Needless to say I will not take my vehicles anywhere else.

Had a bad breakdown on the highway and AAA recommended Auto Centric, and while their voicemail system is inoperable, everything else went extremely well. A great outfit to do business with but unfortunately my car had to go to the graveyard so I cant say much more but still would highly recommend.

Best auto shop Ive ever been to.Greg and Tom are the nicest people, and they make the process of getting your car fixed as easy as possible. I had to reschedule multiple times, and they were very gracious and understanding. I had to change a couple other things on the fly, and they were totally understanding of everything and just super nice people. They also offered to get me an Uber to work if my car was not ready in time (great service!). My car was fixed in a timely manner, and they did not take long at all.The lobby is also very clean and a welcoming place to enter.You dont feel shady when going here like I have at other auto shops where I thought I was getting taken advantage of for not knowing much about cars. These guys are so welcoming, and I 100% recommend this place.

Not what I had hoped for, and not a place I will be returning to. The estimate came back high, I asked for my car back to think about it, only to find out the condition I brought it in for was much, much worse, leaving the car barely drivable. I had no choice but to get the car repaired--either there or somewhere else--immediately. After about a week in the shop, they told me the problem wasnt fixed, and it was going to cost more to much to fix it.

These guys did a fantastic job! I came in for just a simple oil change, and these guys not only did that, but they did an inspection and found a few issues that I didn’t know I had on my vehicle. Now I can get to work on getting that taken care of!Thanks Greg and Jim! You guys were great!

I have had repeated problems with my Infiniti G37x 2010. Most recently I had work done, some basic maintenance repairs and power steering issues. I brought it in on a Friday and got it back Monday! I can’t promise you that it’ll be that fast every visit, but I have been impressed with their turn around time.

Have used Auto Centric for years. CLEAN shop, they show me the parts, give good suggestions, refuse to replace brakes if they just need cleaning., not replacement...and they have a loaner car! Much easier and helpful than the dealership...they have specials, have gone ahead and changed burnt out light bulbs when they find them. Advocates of good car money managing principles!

Great customer service from beginning to end! They’re only open during business hours- same time I work- so I thought I wouldn’t be able to use them. Wrong! I dropped off my car before work, they shuttled me to work and then called me a car service after work to get back. They were upfront about costs and what was an immediate need versus what could wait instead of just trying to push a bunch of services for a bigger payout. I will be going to them from now on!

I went in for an oil change on a Tundra. Service was great. I was in and out in 45 min, not amazing for an oil change but the Tundra has a skid plate that must be completely removed and replaced for an oil change. Also I would rather they took a little more time and did it right. The lounge was the nicest I have seen outside a dealership and had Wifi that actually worked so the wait was fine. Price seems very reasonable, only a few bucks more than it would have taken for me to do it myself. I will certainly go back for other services in the future. Recommended.

After another shop told me I needed $1100 dollars of work to my truck in order to do a alignment after I repaired front front end, I took my truck to Auto Centric for a second opinion. They called me in the am and told me everything was tight and it would be done by 3 pm. They called me at 1 pm and told me it was done and ready to be picked up. I am mad I didnt go there in the first place but you live and you learn. I would recommend them to every one. Thank you for the great service. 5 star service.

Our family has been taking our many vehicles to Hams/Auto Centric for close to 30 years. Cars and trucks, foreign and domestic, old and new. Currently a 2001 Honda Odyssey, a 2007 Honda Ridgeline, a 2009 Honda CRV, and a 2003 Lexus SC430. Auto Centric is the only mechanic to have touched these vehicles. What is especially comforting is they way follow the recommended maintenance schedule and work to anticipate any problems. Not the cheapest, but I do believe they are the best mechanics around. Tom and Greg at the front end, and Jim in the garage, provide excellent service and a pleasant experience. I highly recommend them to my friends, as I am now doing to you. Try Auto Centric.

I have been to Auto Centric twice now and I will say it was from there reviews that made my decision to give them a try and I have been 100% happy with there service as well as everyone I have talked to. I had them replace a timing belt on my 2011 pilot , that was 15,000 miles ago. I have had service done there twice both times 100% satisfied, they are now my go to service people on my Hondas and I live in Cadillac the 100 mile drive is well worth it.

Car oveheated on way home i stopped to ask for water to fill my radiator and they filled it with a whole gallon of antifreeze. Caring helpful people! I appreciate it mike!! You the man!

We had an inspection done on a vehicle we were seriously considering purchasing. The dealership had only had the vehicle for a few hours before they showed it to us so they didnt know much about it. It is 11 years old and looked great but we wanted to make sure it was mechanically sound. Their terrible diagnostic ended up ruining my brake system.I work long 6 day weeks most times so it is very hard to take my car into the shop. My car had been squeaking at random times so I took it into Auto Centric. They said my muffler had rotten away and was resting on my axle. This didnt make sense to me since my axle sits entirely under the axle and I could not see any wear marks where it was hitting. They changed the muffler...Now my car started making more sounds. When I could finally take my car back in they said the muffler they sold me was defective and replaced it, but the car kept making the squeaking sound it did before.Finally it started making a grinding sound when I braked. I took it to another shop and had to have the whole system replaced. If Auto Centric had just looked at my brakes they would have seen the squeaking was the brakes and replaced them before they wore down to bare metal.I probably did need a new muffler, but there is no excuse for missing the problem with the brakes on TWO separate inspections.Edit in response to manager:Your customer service was excellent, but would you give a restaurant with excellent service then puts dirt on your plate and calls it food a good review?The other shop who I will not name did not want to speak poorly of another mechanic. However, he did confirm that it would have been a very obvious problem had your mechanic taken the time to look at my brakes. The muffler being loose would have made a rattle sound and not a squeak. Any qualified mechanic should know that there would have been bare metal if there had been rubbing.I was prepared to wait at your shop, but your staff gave me the feeling like I should leave. There was no first test drive like you claimed. On the second time during the final test drive I did hear very high pitched squeaking on two occasions but your mechanic said he didnt hear it so I thought it must be in my head.Good customer service does not forgive such a glaring mistakes on the part of your mechanics, nor does it heal the hole in my wallet.

The ONLY people I will let fix my vehicles. Have never had the same problem twice and never had to go back for anything they may have missed during the repair like many other places Ive visited in the past. Clean and relaxing atmosphere as well as reliable and trustworthy staff!

I am now on my second car that I have had Auto Centric servicing. The staff is very kind and helpful from start to finish. I personally love that they give you a detailed printout of the work that is done as well as recommendations of other things to keep an eye on, because I am terrible about record keeping myself. I will happily continue to use them with cars and would have no problem referring others to use them as well..

My car died while visiting Grand Rapids. I am from Columbus, OH. Never a good thing to have a break down, but not good when you are out of town! Lets start at the beginning.Ill start off by saying Greg was a really nice guy and very helpful.I thought I just broke a belt on my alternator, but it was seized up. I can fix a lot of things on my own vehicle, but replacing my alternator was something I just didnt have time or the skill to tackle. This repair was fine. They replaced the alternator and belt (plus a general inspection and a brake inspection) its total was $530. (no core charge was credited back) It also took about 3 days to get my car back.Here is where things got really bad. They said when they lifted the car my brake system which had a very MINOR leak (I was still able to brake and had plenty of pressure, but my brake light was on so I was worried) was now a hemorrhage. They told me my brakes were squishy, but they were sure I knew about that. My brakes went all the way to the floor. I had no pressure at all. BUT its like hot potato according to them, whoever would have raised my car up the same thing would have happened to them. Personally, it seems like negligence based on how I was treated on the phone. How they kept pointing out how it was my fault and taking zero responsibility for it. The harder you make it seem like its the customers fault the more I suspect the inspection caused my current issues.Whoever I spoke to on the phone after I got my car back in a worse condition was absolutely the worse kind of person. After about 5 mins into the conversation I was ready to hang up because I can only take so many comments like you dont seem like a car guy or Do you really understand? the pure condescension in this mans voice was vile. I will never go back to AutoCentric.Take your car somewhere else. If something goes wrong they will blame you.Theyre going to respond with some long drawn out response to this explaining how my car wasnt road worthy and that Im lucky to be alive or something like that. Yet, the fact still remains. After you touched my car my brake system failed. Then treated me like some no nothing child who doesnt know anything about cars.You could have just explained your case and NOT treated me like I didnt know a damn thing, and maybe I wouldnt have even written this review. This is my very first review because I felt like I needed to let other people know.Thanks for the consent headaches and the stress.

Tom has always done a great job with my vehicles. I had my new ride in there last week for some maintenance work. It didnt take long at all to check a few things out. Will be back in a few months for other service work- oil change and other maintenance work. Been going for years having Tom and his staff to service my vehicles and will continued to go there.

I have used and trusted these guys for years and really would not go anywhere else. I moved about 5 years ago as Hams Auto use to be just around the corner form me. Now they are not as close and convenient as they use to be, but they make it easy to work with them. They can even arrange you to have a loaner vehicle while yours is getting fixed which is great! I was reminded just recently being close to a dealer or shop should not be your top concern as I made the mistake of taking my car to the dealer and after 3 trips now it is still not right - that wont happen again. I should have taken it to Tom and had Auto Centric do it right the first time. I would and do recommend these guys to anyone....they are the only shop I trust!

I have had nothing but the best experiences at Auto Centric. I had car trouble recently and brought my car in right before closing time on a Friday. They went out of their way to take a look at the car before the weekend so I knew what to plan for. They explained my options very clearly and answered all my questions. I couldnt have been happier with the service I received!

I had an Oldsmobile Cutlass Supreme recently repaired here. I took it in for bad suspension and some front end issues. They did a full inspection of the car and jotted a few notes down on some things I didnt even know were going bad, and they ALWAYS called me to let me know about things before they actually did the repair, and to ask me what I wanted to get done. They prioritized the things that needed fixing starting from the most urgent, and were honest in telling me that some things did not need to be fixed right now, but should get looked at down the road. Their cost estimates were pretty much spot on, and the staff was very friendly and helpful. I will come back for my next servicing. Thank you!

I would not recommend going to auto centric. I spent 2500 dollars on repairs and maintaince at this shop and my vechicle came out in worse shape. When they called to tell me it was done it was 5:20 on a Friday, (yes I did tell them multiple times that I was driving across country to move and needed my car asap which they did hurry) however when we got to the store at 5:25 to get my car once we turned it on every single Warning light on the dash was on when we stopped the young man to tell him this he said thats how it was when we brought it in. (Which was not true there were only 2 lights on not 7) I then had to wait an entire weekend before I could leave to drive across country so I could take the car back in to make sure it was okay to drive that long of distance. They then proceeded to tell me that when they put the exhaust manifold back in it looked like the sensor may or may not make it but they thought theyd give it a try anyhow and the sensor malfunctioned thats whats causing all the lights and now that will need to be replaced. I opted out of course. Kicker to the story the original smell that I brought the car in for wasnt because of the exhaust manifold at all after I took it to a Toyota dealership they fixed the problem correctly. I wish I would have done this in the first place.Bottom line I believe they took advantage because we were women and they just wanted the money. If you have a foreign car and you live in Grand Rapids I would go to the dealership for which your car make is.The only things they did right were get me in and out quick, but with many errors. Oh and offer me 100 dollars off if I got the sensor fixed and 100 dollars because I had to rent a rental car.

I just moved to Grand Rapids and was looking for a reliable auto repair shop. I found AutoCentric online and based on other positive reviews, I took my 2010 GMC there to have the heat fixed. Scheduling my appointment was a breeze, the staff was friendly and courteous, and kept me up to date on the status of my vehicle. My final bill was lower than online estimates for similar repairs. My vehicle was returned to me before 5pm the same day I dropped it off. I would definitely recommend AutoCentric to anyone in the GR area looking for a trustworthy auto repair shop.

Total rip off... gave me a list of things that needed to be done... I knew I needed exhaust work. Their estimate for exhaust and muffler for $1700.00. I took car to Muffler Man and all I needed was a flex pipe... $150.00 total!

They are never too busy to get me in. Its super convenient for me on the NE side. I love the options they give and the service is excellent.
