Mark is AMAZING! I was in the process of purchasing a car and took it to Mountain Muffler for a pre purchase check. Mark did an incredibly thorough check, identified multiple issues, gave us a repair estimate, and didn’t even charge us. Incredibly honest bunch of very talented mechanics. A must for your car!

It seems as though catalytic converters are very popular to steal right now. We have a small fleet of work trucks and we have had 3 of the trucks within the last year get the catalytic converters cut out. Mountain Muffler has replaced the cats on all the trucks. The last time this happened, Gary at Mountain Muffler offered to fabricate a cage to protect the cats from being stolen. He did this at a very fair price and the cage really worked! Our initial investment to have the cats replaced was over 4k. Several weeks after having the cage installed, someone tried yet again to cut them out yet again! They were successful at cutting the exhaust but due to the cage were not able to remove the cats! One quick call to Gary at Mountain Muffler and he was able to quickly weld the exhaust back together which saved us not only a lot of money but also time in waiting on parts which are often back ordered. Our truck was only down a day and we were back on the road. Gary and his team at Mountain Muffler are TOP NOTCH and I would recommend them to everyone!

I have been going to Mountain Muffler for a few years now. Full disclosure the only services I have had Gary do for me were exhaust related. Gary is honest and knows what he is doing. He is one of the few local shops that can actually custom bend pipe for exhaust systems. This may not seem like a big deal but, it really is. If you have any custom work that needs to be performed, bending is preferable to trying to piece together pre bent sections to make it work. I recently added an anti-sway bar to my vehicle and the bar interfered with the stock exhaust. Gary custom bent a section with clearance for the bar and welded it in place. Great work, looks great, performs as expected and now my car has an anti-sway bar. Win Win Win. I recommend Gary for any of your exhaust needs. Give him a try you will not be sorry.

Gary was truly phenomenal, helped me with an exhaust leak on my Tundra. A bolt broke off in the flange coming off the catalytic converter, he helped me remove it and reseal the exhaust with my factory muffler and tailpipe. Would strongly recommend for any automotive job, especially those exhaust-related.

I ran over a curb and dinged the bottom of my car. It started sounding very loud but no lights were on. I took it to Gary and he gave me an accurate estimate and got to work on it that day. He was friendly, informative, straight forward and you can tell he’s not in it to rip people off. I was so confident knowing we had someone that really cared and didn’t price gouge us. I took my car to mountain mufflers to have a catalytic converter installed that was cut out from thieves recommended by a neighbor they were honest up front very reasonable price and able to get me in quickly compared to other businesses

This is a great exhaust shop! This is the 2nd time I went to them. 1st time was for a rock crawler 4x4 project. They can bend pipe and do custom work. It seems other. Shops have forgotten that art. On top of that they care about the customer and your budget and wont take advantage of you like so many other shops these days. They built a fully customized system for my Ram truck to my requests and I am very happy with the end result and price I was charged. Thanks!

Gary was great. He was able to cut out and weld in a new section of pipe to replace a broken section and get us back on the road in less than 30 minutes. Some of the other shops I called are only able to replace bolt on components, not weld. Welding the new section was more budget friendly. Thanks, Gary!

Unbelievable! I needed a quick fix for my tailpipe. It was rattling because I backed into a hill trying to get my older St. Bernard loaded up. They told me when they could get me in, up on the lift. A quick repair and I was on my way. Highly recommend these guys!

The rear exhaust pipe on my Coachman RV disconnected from the muffler on a very rough section of Highway 70 through the mountains. Driving down Hwy 70 my wife called Mountain Muffler and explained the problem and our location. Gary gave directions and stayed 30 minutes past closing. Used his outside lift (for RVs and tracks) - welded the exhaust pipe onto the muffler and also welded the broken bracket. Reasonable cost and on our way in 30 minutes and Gary got home late for dinner. Absolutely outstanding service! Thanks Gary BTW Midas and RV Dealers just gave us the run around and one even suggested we wait until morning when and possibly they could work us in.

They were honest and knowledgeable. Instead of convincing me to put in a brand new exhaust system they just fix the section of pipe that was broken and it sounds and operates like new. Knowing that I live a distance away, they were able to repair it on the spot and I did not have to reschedule or come back down the mountain again.

Mountain Motors is great! I had to have a section of my exhaust replaced, and Gary did it unbelievably quickly, and for literally a thousand dollars less than I was quoted at another shop. I recommend Mountain Motors to anyone that needs piece work done on their exhaust system.

We were driving through on our way to WP and RMNP for the weekend. Woke up this morning in North Platte, NE to the putt putt putt sound, which gradually grew into a PUTTPUTTPUTTPUTTPUTTPUTT annoyance. Realized the sound would disturb the wildlife and that just wouldn’t do. Called a number of places looking for help. Mostly got (understandably) laughed at when we asked if we could get a muffler today. Mountain Muffler understood our dilemma and kindly offered to take care of it if we got there right away. We got there right away (!) and within an hour, my new best friend finished one car, attended to another, and replaced our muffler for a *much* more reasonable price than I’d braced myself for. Honest, quick, professional, and great work. Highly recommended!

These guys are honest and do quality work

So they put on a Flowmaster series 40 onto my 2017 Chevy Silverado. It sounded OK but it was not what I wanted so I just went back the other day to put a super 10 Flowmaster onto the truck and removed the resonator. The truck now sounds perfect and it sounds like what I wanted. This crew is very nice and they do great work I recommend them if you’re wanting a muffler

I ran over a cut off metal post that ripped a huge gash in a section exhaust pipe. Another shop offered to replace the whole thing but they werent equipped to repair just the damaged section. Mountain Muffler cut out the severely damaged section and welded in a new one that he made on the spot!Friendly local business man that does excellent work at a very reasonable price! Im glad I discovered him and I definitely recommend this shop!

I recently had to get some muffler work done on my car, and at a prior mechanic shop they told me that it would cost about $560. Called about doing a custom exhaust on my 1985 land cruiser with a V8 swap. I saw the work he did on my buddies 77 truck and thought it was good enough to pull the trigger. He told me he couldn’t work on it because it didn’t have the emission stuff on it....I called for him to be the one to put the cats and exhaust on it? Kinda confused, pretty rude guy that obviously doesn’t want work. His name was Gary. Guess I should have called after he got his coffee.

Gary who runs the place (I think) did a great job on my simple low cost mod. I’ll be back when I upgrade again! Had an awesome experience here. I had them do some work on my rusty old muffler and then came back a couple weeks later for some further exhaust repairs. About ten years ago had a new muffler system put on my 84 pick up. Noticed a hole a couple weeks ago, possibly from who knows what puncturing the muffler and they fixed it quickly and free. I appreciated the treatment and fast service even after so many years.

We had a great experience getting a muffler replace on our Dodge Diesel pick up. I called to check for a price and Gary told me if I would like to come in he will hold off lunch and check to see what I needed. That was 11:45. I got to his shop about 12:15, he finished helping a customer and immediately checked out what I needed. Although this was an unusual muffler he just happened to have one that matched exactly, He immediately gave me a fair price and skipped his lunch and had it fixed and installed in about 1 hour. Theses guys are super friendly and do great work. Ive been going to them for silly exhaust work on my turbo Hondas over the last couple of years and Ive had nothing but great experiences. I generally dont trust auto shops but theses guys are honest and fair. If youre local in Golden I wouldnt consider anywhere else.
