I would have given a higher mark for the store itself because it’s pretty good BUT the self check out is RIDICULOUSLY slow and irritating to have a helper come after ringing each item - it has changed recently and they should definitely change it back to the way it was

I have been using self-checkout successfully since they implemented it. However it worked too good so they had to mess it up. I now get so frustrated with weighing bags not weighing bags went away the bag. I can never complete a transaction without needing help which is something new. Figure this out stop and shop. Spend the money get the IT to fix it

Theres a older guy that works there hes usually cleaning think hes Brazilian. He was very rude to me and Im not the only one that thinks so. If it wasnt for him I would give Stop n Shop 5stars. Hes a real ... I dont understand why no one complains to the Manager.. I feel like so many people complain to me 🤔

Excellent store. Clean, well lit with wide aisles. Employees are nice and parking lot is cleaner than most other stores Ive visited. Good selection of food and brands.

I found the flavor nondairy frozen treat that my guy loves. They have it consistently, which is not true of my usual grocery store. The cashier, Hafsa was very professional.

The mistrearment of staff at the Gloucester location is unfathomable. Staff are abusive to one another. The training does not take place as it should. They bully and harass staff. The scheduling manager mistreats employees. They sweep all issues under the rug. Dont let your kid work here. It undermines their mental health and teaches them work environments are dysfunctional. It will make your kid sick after the staff bullies them. Their prices are astronomical on all and expiration dates expured on items all the time. The kids dont even know who the union reps are to get help. The union there is a farce.

Applied 4 times for a job. Store apparently called; left no message - just hung up. Contacted corporate. Wasnt certain why they were calling. They said the manager had called but didnt think my voice mail was working (???). Then why didnt he call back?I was instructed to call the manager. Its the managers responsibility to call me. Learn how to use a phone. This is why youre short-staffed

I went to stop and shop to buy some steak tips. They have the best meats. They were on sale but they were all out at 5:00 PM. They still have no paper goods.

Great selection, especially produce & organic, a bit pricey but worth it in the end. Late hours are the best!

Store was good and clean, and shelves were stocked full. Had kind of a funny experience with checking out, and the bagger was unfriendly.

Love this place I go here all the time with it being the only grocery store in my area with self checkout, its so convenient and the store is kept clean and the overall atmosphere is probably my favorite of all the grocery stores :)

Wonderful grocery store, the best one to shop in in Gloucester! Love their in-house brand, deli, bakery, produce, seafood, meat and chicken! The store is always clean and ALL of the employees there are very nice! It is THE PLACE TO GO for groceries in Gloucester!!!

I have had two cakes made in the past month by Bobbi. One for my mom and one for son, and they both were amazing. She is a great asset to the bakery.

Glad to see everyone still here after the strike. I get an amazing smile from a girl in the bakery that makes my day(I almost buy cookies for no reason just to have a reason to go to that part of the store) and a self checkout lady and a cashier lady always make my 8 month old smile every visit. Love this store and it’s employees cleanliness and they generally has the products I need. A very popular item (Neuro Sonic) is rarely on the shelf but to be fair most stores cannot keep this item stocked up either. Favorite place to go.

Bottle deposit return machines were full and service desk personnel were obviously not happy when I asked them issue a refund based on me manually counting the bottles as they observed instead of waiting for them to find an employee to empty the machines. They begrudgingly refunded the deposits the store was happy to collect from me when I purchased the beverages. These folks need to be trained on what decent customer service is. I wont be going back to this store any time soon. This experience took place in the late afternoon of July 12, 2017.

My opinion... By far the best grocery store in Gloucester. First of all, the store is kept clean. Nothing worse than the place you buy your food being so dirty you dont want your kids touching the shelves. Second, The produce is ALWAYS fresh. I dont mean fresh the day you bring it home. Then the next day its questionable. I mean fresh. Third, Ive never gotten a cut of meat I was unhappy with. Also, same as produce, its fresh. Forth, all employees are always nice. And very helpful. One time the guy in the meat dept. helped me find a tile and grout scrubber. He didnt wave me in the direction. He brought me to where I could find it. The prices might be a little bit higher. But if you use coupons and watch their sales, you can actually save more money than going anywhere else. Plus with the things Ive listed above, Id rather spend a couple extra bucks. Lastly, its not over crowded. You wont bump into people in the isles. You wont wait in line more than a minute or 2. But with the Scan-It (my favorite part) you NEVER wait in line.

Its a big time chain so its generally pretty well stocked with a wide variety of products. There are lots of unique products in each of the sections. They have organic and gluten free products, florist, magazine section a red box and a TD Bank inside. This is the beach grocery store so expect to pay more for many products. They also sell propane tanks.

I truly enjoyed the cleanliness of the store but since its such a slow store why do 2 people in line have to wait when you have others just talking up front.Someone is doing their job considering the shape of the store overall.A bit pricey for the same products though.And employees shouldnt be talking when customers are waiting to check out

Love this store. The employees are always helpful and professional and most are even cheerful. The prices are better than Shaws and Market Basket, plus all purchases earn you gas points. Ive gotten $.70 / gallon off of a whole tank of gas! They have most everything I am shopping for, even specialty items i thought I would have to order online.Keep up the good work!

Great grocery store. Its often not as busy as the other options in town. I go for the self-checkout, as its very quick and allows you to bag your own groceries for easy unpacking at home.

I went there with someone to get a gift certificate for their relative. I dont shop there. This location is fine, but not in my area, or somewhere I normally travel to, on a regular basis.

Extremely clean Stop&Shop. Staff is super nice and a spectacular view of the Good Harbor sand dunes from the parking lot.

Big store usually has lots of choices but lately I have been out of everything their floral department is lacking and needs a little more TLC but if they keep up with their products they are great store to go to very clean and a quick in-and-out unlike some other stores around here

So disappointed in Stop & Shop.....I ordered my 24 lb. Butter Ball Turkey last Friday via telephone. I told them I would pick it up Monday (yesterday )...they took my name and the gentleman said hed put in the refrigerator to start defrosting. Stop & Shop had a special...if you spent $25.00 you would only have to pay $1.39 a lb. WELL - I arrived yesterday around 5 pm- asked for the bird- gentleman looked and said there was nothing there for me in the backroom!!! I had to buy a frozen 19 bs. Butterball turkey from the bin. This man could of cared less- he mumbled something about him being retired and not really working there ?? Huh?? So much for ordering anything ahead of time....at Stop & Shop.

Its a lil pricy but there meat,produce & seafood are the best for 1 stop shopping. Love that place just cant afford to buy everything I need in this 1 stop shop.

This grocery store has everything you need and being a Gloucester its very important we dont have many conglomerates around so they have everything from food to Beachwear and some local t-shirts and what not

Something is amiss every time we go in. This is our primary grocery spot. It used to be our only spot. With all the produce quality issues over the last 2 years, mismarked sales, rising prices, and other odd pricing occurances/pricing gimmicks over the last year, we really dont mind shopping around a bit more now.

This store has everything from groceries to home and health. They have a large card section..candles and flowers.. Definetly a one stop experience.

Stop+ shop has turned into a terrible place to shop. they make it clear customer serviceis NOT their # I concern. Its about saving money SAD!
