If I could give more than 5 stars, I would! Ive taken my 2000 Mercedes into Silver Star Motors twice now. Both times, Chip told me exactly what was wrong and how much it would cost to fix it. The amount was really reasonable, especially considering its a Mercedes and what other shops charge. Both times, they fixed it for the exact amount I was quoted - no hidden fees, no surprises! And both times, the issues were fixed entirely and in a timely manner. So glad to find a mechanic shop that is both fair and honest! Chip told me they could fix anything and I now tend to believe thats accurate. Highly recommend Silver Star Motors and Chip to everyone! Quite a find!

Great service. Got my car back. It drove better then it did when i first got it.

First of all, i would zero stars if I could, I went to this place bc I own a Audi and suddenly had couple issues going on so I thought since the reviews were good, so is the owner. I was completely wrong. Man charged me 120$ just to check it and took almost two weeks to do the job and as a result, nothing was wrong as he stated. Unfortunately I would’ve took my keys and left, without paying a dime, but man would’ve snitched me out and called the cops for leaving like that. I don’t recommend this place at all. This happened recently.

I have been a customer of Silver Star Motors for about twenty years. I can honestly say that the only reason that I continue to buy Mercedes is Silver Star Motors. The dealership is a rip off. The first time they examined my AMG they pointed out several issues that the dealer had claimed to have fixed, but did not even touch. They have been extremely honest when diagnosing a given problem. They are prompt and very knowledgeable. Equally important is that they are reasonably priced and never try to overreach. I would not take my car anywhere else. I live in Scottsdale and tried a mechanic close to my house. What a mistake. It is well worth the drive. There are very few good mechanics who work on German motors so look no further- Silver Stars

I would highly recommend getting your car serviced or repaired with these guys! They worked with me and got me back on the road sooner than I thought. Silver Star is under new management and what a huge difference. I was biting my lip if I should take my car there, and Im so happy that I did. Talk to Joe, hell take care of you. I felt that he was fair and reasonable and fully explained what they were doing. Reading the previous posts, definitely not the same place.

Place is under New Management. The place has really cleaned up with new technicians and all. They have even put in a great waiting area for us customers. I took my Mercedes in and Joe had my problem figured out in no time. Had my car back very quickly and its running perfect its been a couple of weeks and its great. I would recommend the shop to anyone.

Weve had our R class serviced there twice in the last 6 months. The new owner Joe is doing a great job cleaning the place up and providing solid customer service. Hes very knowledgeable about German brands and probably other brands as well. Everything he said he would do, he does. Ill use them again.

Terrible mechanic. Straight up lied and charged my warrenty company. Said they fixed my berrings and i had An oil leak. Said they fixed the berrings but i still have an oil leak. They never fixed the berrings and lied about the oil leak to cover the fact that i was actually leaking power steering fluid

My experience here was dreadful. To begin with, I had my 06 Audi diagnosed which costed $95, and my regret is having paid that. First of all, the mechanic was unable to provide a copy of the codes because of technical difficulties. Secondly, after having paid for the diagnostic, I was told that the codes were cleared. I was then told to change my gas cap and to then drive it for another 40-60 miles to see if the same codes reappear. Although I did change my gas cap, I was not willing to take the risk of possibly damaging my newly bought vehicle. In addition, the mechanic said the software he used to diagnose my Audi had not specified clearly of what maintenance needed to be taken care of. As a result, I seeked a second opinion immediately, and was told that the codes should not have been cleared because the second diagnostic will be ineffective. Thirdly, the waiting area was disastrous. For instance, their was paper, pens, and etc. cluttered on the counter, the ceiling had water stains and missing ceiling boards, the couch was old and dusty, and there was no a/c... It looked like a dump. Lastly, the mechanic did not appear knowledgeable with anything he was doing there, and in my opinion, I dont understand how he qualifies for this job description. In general, I would not recommend nor come to this shop again, especially since it will fail during inspection.Oh, and in case you may be wondering... If I had taken the advice of this so called mechanic, I would have ruined my engine because my timing belt was severely worn that it was God protecting me from it snapping off on me while driving. Also, the camshaft was so bad that there were metal pieces flowing into the fuel pump. After the previously mentioned parts that required immediate attention got taken care of, I have driven it about 100 miles and theres no check engine light on, yet.I hope my shared experience and information helps you to reconsider about this place.

I came in with my Audi s5 that needed a new clutch they treated my vehicle as if it was there own I couldn’t have asked for better service and knowledge.

My father in law joe sr brought a few of friends cars to silver star were joe jr was able to fix what others couldnt its been a huge change since joe took over all the new techs are ase and mercedes certified through universal tech inst phx they are licensed and have dishonesty,bonds and insured the place has cameras and hi tech security the past is just that at silver star

The owner is very friendly and helpful. Thanks to him my 1981 Mercedes Benz 300SD is up and running again.
