Solid Market, Great Homemade Bread! I love the Chicago Italian and Mountain Bread loafs. Meats, dairy, are a little pricey at times but good quality. I haven’t confirmed but hoping they’re using our Virginia farms where they can. Produce and deli are great. Be patient with the deli, “they’re slow… ;-)” but very nice and generally consistent. You can get Boars Head from Tom Leonards for cheaper but the trip and time isn’t worth it if you live off Nuckols road in many cases. Shop here weekly/daily. We live right behind it. Always positive experiences.

5 stars to the bakery for their excellent Tiramisu and mocha flavored donuts. Also, the Delis chicken popcorns are way too good. Im never getting chicken popcorns from elsewhere now!

Good evening, I was in your store today and experienced the best customer service ever. John and Sterling in the deli went above and beyond to assist me and put a humongous smile on my sons face, he recently lost his mother to COVID and every kind gesture is magnified. The young lady in the bakery was extremely hospitable as well, unfortunately I didnt retrieve her name, she was a beautiful, thin, Nubian woman. Thank you all for making a passerby on his long way home brighten his sons day.

The store is clean, organized, and well stocked. Lot of fresh produce and deli options, as well a s a variety of take away dinner options. Employees all very helpful. Was in the store between lunch and after work rush - very, very easy to maneuver around the store during my visit.

My only knock is they dont refrigerate their white claws. Have you had a warm white claw? If so, you are probably an alcoholic and need to seek help. Wrap that bad boy in a wet paper towel, pop it in the freezer, and you are on your way to flavor town baby. Youre welcome.

Deli service needs to be improved. If your getting a sub plan for 20-30mins and that if they have the meat cut.

Enjoy meeting friends here for quick lunch after we have attended meeting nearby. Love the onion rings in the deli. Staff very helpful but do wish the prices were better. Every store has something you really like. This week 6/30 I iij ng crab legs on sale. May break down and get a small bunch!

My favorite place to shop. The Publix brand is great. I love their meat, it tastes like meat should. Produce is always fresh. My favorite thin is the key lime pie from the bakery.

Usually can find what Im looking for in Publix and it always taste good.

I will NEVER shop in a Publix anywhere and especially the one in Glen Allen VA! UKrops and Martins never tried to stop our cruise in at Chick Fil A. They have hurt me in my income. They say because of Covid but their store is open. Whats the difference. I am ticked off with your company and so are many others. Expect a lot of complaints.

Its a nice store but it took 3 employees to help me find their cooking wine. Also, can never seem to have chocolate muffins on hand, but theres a ton of carrot ones.

My husband and were in the cooking school last night. The cooking staff were entertaining, especially the young man serving the wine! I took home a new cooking tip that will help me in making my salad dressings. I do wish they had a bit more demo than they had last night, but apparently less demonstration is what customers have been telling them they want?I am not a good photographer. the food was so much more delicious than it looks in my picture! A four course meal prepared to perfection AND wine for $100? AND I came home with the recipes! Afterwards we went shopping and got some great deals on knives and sharpeners with the discount we received for taking the class!

Good, clean place. Prices are higher than HEB in Texas, but products are good quality and service as well.

I really like Publix and the culture they give their employees. Ive never had bad service in any one of the locations the source are always clean neat and well organized. Ive never seen empty shelves with the exception of a covid-19. Theyre really good about price adjustments and refunds if needed. The Bakery and Deli and hot food section are all well-stocked clean and have a good assortment of offerings.

Hello. Went into the store for a package of hot dog rolls. I was starting to search the aisle when a person came right up to me with a cart. Cut right in front of me grabbed a package of bread and stood there while he was on his phone. As he left, I realized he was a Publix employee shopping for several people Instead of waiting until the shopper ( me ) cleared out. That was very rude and inconsiderate. How can you ask your customers to follow distance protocols when your own employees wont. I did not buy anything from Publix this outing and went to another store. Dave kuzara

Really good service. I had an item that wouldnt ring up at self checkout and the associate was right there and fixed it quickly.

Really nice store with a large selection on the prepared food section. Folks were super nice and very helpful. We stopped in for lunch got a couple chicken and sides meals for the wife and kids as well as a salad and some spicy shrimp roll and drinks. Everything on the salad bar was stocked and looked fresh, the chicken looked and tasted good. The mac and cheese looked dry but the wife said it tasted good and the carrots were a bit under done. Overall everything was tasty and we left full and satisfied. Great job Publix.

I’m usually not the type to come on here and leave reviews, but there’s a particular employee at this Publix location that has continually gone above and beyond to make every visit not just helpful, but absolutely delightful - and that’s Chloe, in the bakery department. We’re new to the area, and from our first visit, she has never failed to greet us with a smile and answer every question we could have - whether that be about food items, directions, or even the cooking classes. She even remembered us when we came back! She really takes her time and is so thoughtful in her answers and explanations, but even more than that, she is so genuinely cheerful and never fails to brighten our day. She even stayed late tonight just to make sure we could get a cake order just right! I really just wanted to let you guys know that she is wonderful, the embodiment of superb customer service, and an incredible asset to your team. Keep up the good work!

Publix is my favorite grocery store. They have everything you need to prepare what ever you desire and a cooking school to teach you how to cook it if youre lacking in that area.

Great prepped food, but WAY OVERPRICED. Excellent selection of grocery items but, again, pricey. Very friendly and helpful staff. Quick checkout, even during busy time. Dont like the way produce and bakery are cordoned off from rest of store - restricts flow of shoppers. Ill shop here for niche or upscale items, but local Food Lion or Kroger are much better value for staple items.

My first time in a Publix store. Unfortunately they didnt move into the 2 closed Martin stores in my neighborhood. I was impressed with the store and the employees. Everyone I walked past asked me if I was finding everything or just said hello. It was great being acknowledged. I think I will make it a point to check out the Publix in Colonial Heights. I hope they live up to my experience at this location.

Theyre professional and they know how to take care of people. My children accompanied my husband, baby sister and I to get vaccinated and they were noisy and kept playing. The nurse kept a positive demeanor all throughout.She was interactive and she helped us understand everything.It was a fun and successful experience.

I was pleasantly surprised at the volume of items available and the helpful nature of the staff. I had the most pleasant experience at the deli. The deli department had Boar’s Head Ham and Cheeses which are my favorites, and the clerk was fantastic. I believe her name was Debra. She recommended things that I had not tried before and was so engaging that it truly made it customer service and not just order taking. I love not having to have a plastic card to go grocery shopping. Only issue was that the milk was a day out of date on one visit and completely empty on the next visit. I will return again. Lovely experience.

I love Publix because they are hands down the best. No matter where you go you may have a bad experience. I went to this location for the first time today. I was greeted by every available associate I walked past. I ordered two subs. They tasted great. The only issue I came across was I ordered a half and they gave me a whole. The only charged me for a half. But this is still new associates so I can understand these things. The subs were made perfectly and right on time. I ordered them online and they were being placed in the hot case as soon as I walked up. It was very busy but they had more than enough staff. Plenty of managers including the store manager walking around helping customers and even encouraging staff. Clean store and parking lot. If you dont like Publix then you hate life I guess because Publix is the best.

Great new store -- weve been waiting a long time! The customer service is really wonderful too. I ordered a cake at the bakery yesterday and picked it up today. It was perfect and so very good! So nice to have really great birthday cakes again for my kids!

I think before you venture into food, you need to know where you are. This is Richmond. And food is what we are about. Your selection better be impressive and your quality better be exceptional if youre coming here. Corporate food wont do. And if you dont know where you are - get out. Do you even know what black eyed peas are? And when they are to be picked? Get the hell out.

Friendly associates and helpful. If they dont know something they ask someone who does. Has self checkout and a good portion of their bread in the bakery is from scratch and you can go to any department just about and try something new each week.

Customer service was terrific I was a first timer so needed help finding things. Meat dept made me a special hamburger I wanted!Also special kudos to Caitlyn she was wonderful helping me check-out and took groceries to my car. She refused a tip but I would have tipped her $10.00 for her thoughtfulness. I will come back just for the customer service!!

Been to all sorts of Publixs in the area and out of all this Publix blows the other ones away. The layout might be strange at first but they are very well organized in the layout. They make the subs best at this location. Staff are always very friendly and attentive here.

Plenty of variety but overpriced. The staff creeped me out. They approached me several times and followed me around the store.

My sister daughter and I went there for a blue apron demo. And went to restroom and was followed by a white lady into the bathroom. Mind you, we are black. So she thought we were thieves. This store left a bad taste in my mouth. So just BOLO if you are black. It is not a black friendly store to black customers. But it was strange, because they had a lot of black workers. That lady is a bad seed for your store. How unfortunate...

Everytime I have been here, the service has been spectacular. The employees always are always kind and helpful. I love that they will help you bring your groceries to your car without a second thought. Everytime I am in town and need to get a few things, Ill choose Publix over anything else.

The staff are friendly but this location is small based upon others I’ve visited.On grand opening, they provided each shopper with a Publix reusable bag.In some items, the prices are lower than other grocers. What baffles me is how the Publix brand is costlier than the major brands. This is a first that I’ve seen at any local grocer where I’ve lived throughout the United States.Publix does have digit coupons and will accept manufacturers coupons and their local competitors coupons too.They have a Starbucks located inside. They also made subs, have hot foods, a soup and salad bar, bakery, etc.

I walked into Publix to buy Milk on September 30th and I was surprised to see expired milk on the shelve with date September 25th. This is happening to me for second time. Reputed store like Publix selling expired food is surprising.

I love that Publix is here. Product quality and customer service are their hallmark. Even during opening weekend the staff was friendly and eager to help. The produce is spot on and my Publix Sweet Tea was calling my name (its even sweeter when its BOGO). Welcome to town!

Having grown up in Florida with Publixs, I was so excited to hear that we would be getting them here in Virginia. I stopped in today not expecting much because they are a brand new store. But I was totally blown away. You can tell that many of the associates are still learning their jobs fully, but they were friendly, helpful, and they got help quickly when they werent quite sure what to do. Not to mention the fact that that is probably the prettiest Publix Ive ever seen and even though I went at a busy time it didnt feel overly crowded. Run, dont walk, and check it out for yourself and grab a few pub subs and some sweet tea while youre at it!

As a Florida native, Ive always been a Publix enthusiast so when I found out they were FINALLY branching out into VA, my current state of residence, I was stoked. While the customer service and cleanliness of the store was on par with what I expect from a Publix, order accuracy at the sub counter was pretty lacking. The lady making my order was very slow and made my sandwich incorrectly before completely walking away without explanation. I feel bad even complaining because they were all very friendly and most of them were new, they just seemed completely in over their heads. (This location has only been open a week.) Hopefully they work out their kinks because this store has a potential to be incredible.

First time in a Publix.....clean... courteous...and a ton of things I didnt know I was looking for....and some I was but couldnt find at other stores. I have been waiting months to step foot in one and it didnt disappoint...wish we had a store closer to us.

They have the HIGHEST chicken prices of any grocery store in Richmond. $7 plus per pound for chicken breasts. Nice store friendly people but when all the other stores in the area are $1.99 per pound then someone needs to rethink their profit margins.

First time here and very impressed, We ended up buying the Publix ice cream today. Very clean facility, very welcoming and friendly staff. Very wide open selection of stuff. Good pricing.
