The communication being the sales team and tech team is laughable. Twice my family has dropped for vehicles for repair after scheduling an appointment and told completely different information during drop off or while in repair.Yes, the sales team and tech team are friendly, but they dont take the quotes or obligations they mention seriously. When I dropped my car, I was told the part would arrive that day, it didnt arrive until late into the day, and they barely finished it before the closed of business.Recently my wife made an appointment and was told to drop it off by 4 PM and that the part would arrive at noon. I dropped it off at noon, and no part had come. During the drop-off process, I was told that our appointment was canceled due to a call-out. This occurred before the sales rep even looked up wife information and the obligation another team member made yesterday.They pushed the repair through, and I just called to check on the status. I was told the part just came in, its 3 PM, and they close at 6 PM. The original expectation was the repair would take two hours. Set clear expectations; your customer time is valuable, your team needs a better communications system internally and with the external customer. Ive gone here for four repairs in the last eight years I lived here, and the previous two have been trash.Other than that, they are great mechanic, pleasant sales team, and they do great honest work, so I gave three stars.

I’m normally skeptical of repair shops as I’ve had some bad experiences with them. This shop, though, thoroughly surprised me. My air conditioning was beginning to fail in my 2013 van. I had taken it to another shop and that shop put Freon in it and life was good. For a few days... I don’t drive everyday, but I noticed my AC blowing warmer and with a couple of really hot and humid days, it was getting uncomfortable. We have a 700 mile trip coming up in just a few days and I was beginning to panic. I called the other shop and they couldn’t even take a look until Monday or so and couldn’t promise my vehicle back before departure date. I called another place, and they were booked up and couldn’t see me for a week or so. My Wife suggested Complete Automotive; she’d been seeing them for years. I called and the nice man told me if I leave it, they could look at it first thing on Saturday (next day). This was just before 11:00AM. We took my van over and talked with Kirsten, one of the Service writers, and gave her the whole story. “I’ve got you”, she tells me. OK, we’ll give this a try...Well! About 3:30 same day, I get a call. Kirsten tells me they had an opportunity to check out my issue and they found the problem: a leaking condenser. Cost estimate to fix was around $750. I knew that was the most expensive part of the AC system to repair, and thought my costs could have been much worse or problematic. I asked how long it would take to get parts and fix and Kirsten told me, “If we can get the part in today, we’ll have it tomorrow”. Wow. I gave my approval, and thought, pretty good, folks. I received a call around 5:45, and my vehicle was ready for pickup! Same day! We drove over, settled our bill, and are prepping for our upcoming trek, secure in the knowledge our AC is functioning normally!Good customer service and satisfaction, efficient work, promptly delivered ahead of promise date/time. Y’all have won a customer for life! Thank you, Complete Automotive, AND Kirsten. Y’all exceeded my expectations.

I had to ask them 4 times to rotate my tires after they changed my oil and each time they told me that it had been done.they didnt know that my tires had a mark on them that proved they never touched them so if you take your car in for an oil change be sure to mark your rear tires so you can see if they really did it. This place did good work at one time and to this day my tires still havent been rotated,after having over $3000 of work done there I expected better service

I would give this place 10 stars if I could! Hands down phenomenal service in every way. The entire team is so kind, courteous & very helpful. I drove out of the way just to get to this shop based off of 3 other word of mouth reviews recommending this place & I’m so glad my car didn’t break down on the way there! My car wasn’t in the best shape & I wasn’t even sure if it could be fixed. Brian was phenomenal & not only told me what was wrong but showed me as well, so that I could better understand the problem. His kindness & willingness to help was so informative & I was so thankful to learn that it could be fixed. This kind of service is so rare these days & im beyond thankful that learned about them from friends. I usually get so much anxiety anytime I take my car in to a new place but this was totally different. You feel so at ease in the family atmosphere & everyone is so polite & easy going. This place has such a good vibe when you’re there. It’s extremely clean, air conditioned & the staff is top notch. Definitely found my shop for good. I got my state inspection done at this place lately. My left front signal light was out so I knew it will need change. I asked them to change it. It was pretty small job and I did not have time for it. They called me to told that I would need the whole light housing got replaced as they could not put that little signal light back. Remember they took it out. They gave me a qoute of over $800, insanely ridiculous. I said no and they put a rejection sticker.. I got my signal bulb replaced in $5, cost of the bulb. This is such a bad business practices and rip off by taking advantage of customers situation. So be careful folks. It is your hard earned money.

Would have loved to give this mechanic a shot, since reviews are great. But there is NO parking anywhere to even go in to see them. You have to park super far away and walk, or park in a no parking zone and hope your car doesnt get hit or towed or something. Saturday oil changes are first come, first serve. So you must either leave your vehicle with them for several hours, or be first in line at 7am. I didnt figure it would be so bad at 7:45am, but according to the team, itll be a 3-4 hour wait.

Took my car here a few times and it was a surprise almost each time. They LOVE to overcharge you or sell the most expensive stuff they can by putting you on spot. I will be switching to someone more honest

Ever since moving to the Richmond, VA area I have had a difficult time finding an automotive place I feel comfortable with taking my vehicles. I am more picky about mechanics then I am doctors. Complete Automotive has done a great job in easing any doubts or worries. Recently I brought my truck in and a few issues arose. But the staff at Complete Automotive handled the situation in a helpful and professional way. I will be coming back to them for any more future vehicle needs.

I should have posted a review before now, but I saw a few negative reviews of Complete Automotive and cant believe they went to the same place I know and love. All of the staff are incredibly friendly, accommodating, and understanding. Their pricing is fair and they do top notch work. In fact, on more than one occasion they informed me that service items I requested were not needed yet, saving me from spending more than I needed to on repairs. I highly recommend Complete to anyone looking for a skilled shop they can trust.

This is a most unusual car service center because they are HONEST. I was there yesterday after a dealer told me I needed new brake pads. Upon getting my car on the lift, the owner showed me that I had 10-15K miles left before I needed new brakes! He actually refunded my deposit for the parts on the spot and sent me on my way. What a breath of fresh air! Highly recommended.

These guys are phenomenal. Being new to the area and having to find a new mechanic can be very daunting. Especially for a single woman. I read through their reviews and was thoroughly impressed. I went in for my safety inspection and to talk about tires. Kevin is very personable and knowledgeable. He was able to get the tires delivered and installed the same day. I picked my car up that night before another nasty winter storm. They went above and beyond! I have already recommended them to a friend.

Went without appointment. My battery had died. They had my battery in and checked everything out..added air to tires. Had my car back in less than an hour. Didnt find hidden problems. Was very happy Smith my bill and service I received. I highly recommend Complete Auto!

I just wanted to take a moment and tell you about Ryan! He is awesome!! So I just picked the Chrysler up, my husband said is it riding like new! (new tires and new control arms)Exceptional customer service!! Ryan really went above and beyond. I mentioned to him that I did purchase a warranty when I bought the car, he asked me if I could send him the warranty paperwork which I did. He was able to go through all the paperwork I gave him and the control arms were covered and the leak in the water pump as well he noticed that is also covered under the warranty and informed me that I would need to take that to the dealer to have completed. He truly turned a very stressful situation into a very pleasant and super easy process for myself and my husband, and I am very grateful!I can’t say it enough how great the experience was. Was chasing down a vibration in my car. While in Richmond i googled tire store near me scrolled past the chain store tire shops and found this locally owned shop. Good choice. Went in early Sat morning. Justin the counter guy was very pleasant and listened to my concerns. They rebalanced my 4 tires in a timely fashion. Seeing women by themselves in the waiting room is actually a good sign. To me it means this place has built up trust by taking care of women and not taking advantage of them. Was impressed by a large clean showroom,waiting room and bathroom.Even has a childrens waiting room Would recommend this place. Hey Justin,have your tire balancing machine calibrated. Check sticker for last time calibrated.

Every time I have taken my car here I walk away feeling scammed - I do not doubt any of the other reviews that make claims of complete automotive defrauding them.My personal experience is just that they tried to upsell me on the same service that they had just provided the week before ... whatever happened, they lost my trust.If I were you, I would be very skeptical about anything they tell you!

They have been working on our fleet for over 4 years now and I always leave the shop satisfied with their incredible people and customer service. Thank you Thomas, Sunshine, Mike, and all the other guys there for the amazing front desk and phone service. At one point they quoted me about $500 to perform a variety of mechanical work needed. when I arrived there to pay them after the services had been performed, they said that the bill would be ~$80 LESS because their mechanics realized that one of the work did not have do be done. I thought that was incredible. I was ready to pay and they did not take my money. This happened on many instances where they look out for me, rather than just taking the money. Thank you very much!

The best to take your vehicle to. Amazing, friendly, knowledgeable and fair pricing; these are some of the ways I would describe the staff and my experience. I am no shape or form a mechanic, however, I have some general knowledge. If I dont understand what the issue is or the solution the techs there will explain it so you can understand. No hidden costs or trying to up sell you on garbage that is not needed. They are quick with the work and humble about the tasks it took to repair it.

Im ready for the time when these types of mechanics become obsolete. The lack of honesty and lack of conscience you have to have to continuously fraud your customers out of large amounts of money for unnecessary work and to go as far as tampering with your car is sickening to me.NOT TO BE TRUSTED. ALWAYS GET A SECOND OPINION.After taking my car for a simple inspection, I was told that my brakes and rotor need to be replace. After agreeing to the replacement the mechanics proceed to state that my car was idling rough and it could possibly be something wrong with the engine and he needs to run some test to verify the cause of the problem.Knowing that I just had a recent checkup and there was no symptoms of such and less than 50,000 miles on my car I decided to decline. The following day my car would not start. I decided to call the mechanic that I spoke to about my car and I explain what was happening and his response was well we did told you that your car need to be checked out and stated I should have my car brought in so they can take a look at it.Absolute convinced that my car was tampered with I decide to take my car to my car dealership instead. After running a diagnostic on my vehicle I was told my car was running fine, there was no rough idle and the reason for the car was not starting was because Complete Auto did not connect my battery correctly causing my car to not start.Its way to often auto mechanics has been getting away with such activities and I will definitely will be filing a complaint.

Ive been to Complete Automotive ever since I move to Richmond two years ago and I havent gone anywhere since. They actually care about your automotive issues and really want to help. I hit a tree stump with my car and wanted to get underneath looked at. One of the employees there Tyler, was able to get my car in the air in 5 minutes from the time that I showed up and give me advice about what I should do. He provide great education and treated my issue with the utmost care. I was really comfortable with them taking my concern and will be returning to these professionals again.

Terrible place. When we booked it she told us compression check was included, then when we picked up the car they said it wasnt. Worst part was that they said she probably told you that, but its not included.Take your money and your business elsewhere.

My customer service experience was not great. When I walked into the building there were two people sitting at the counter and no one spoke to me for about five minutes. I had an appointment scheduled for 1:00 PM. I waited 40 minutes and my car still had not been serviced. There was no remorse for lateness, and there was no update as to why my appointment was pushed behind. Terrible first impression

Worst automotive experience I have ever had. Called a few days before about an Oil Change. I asked for an appointment at 4:30 and Ruth pleaded with me to make it earlier. We agreed on 3 and she took all my information and confirmed the appointment. I got there today and they acted like I had never called, took all the information I had already given again and then told me they would let me know as soon as it was done. I waited an hour and a half, again for a standard oil change, before seeing my car parked in front of the window of the waiting room. It took them another 30 minutes to call me to the desk for payment, a total experience of two hours. Terrible all around and did not feel welcome. I will never return to this business.

Absolutely Awesome Service & Great Employees!!My vehicle broke down at 4am on Route 95 S on my way from PA to South Florida. Had my Toyota Sequoia towed to the local Toyota dealer which I will not name. I had an awful experience at this dealership. Truly awful. Days on end of no communication and mis diagnosis as well as rediculous charges. I remember my Lyft driver saying when he picked me up at the dealer that I should’ve taken my vehicle to Complete Auto because they are super honest and stand behind their work. When I thought my vehicle was done at the Toyota Dealer I paid over the phone and picked it up after hours. I didn’t even make it out of the parking lot before it broke down. So remembering my Lyft drivers comment I had it towed over to Complete Auto. Great experience even though my car needed a new engine and it didn’t make sense to replace as the cost of the engine was super expensive being that it was an ‘05. Despite this they were very understanding and didn’t try to talk me into doing the expensive repairs. They worked really hard to find the real problem with my vehicle and didn’t want to charge me over $1000 just to find out like the other dealer. They let me look around to see if I could find an engine on my own and have them install it. My car was there over a month while I tried to find an engine and they never once called me to rush me. My service tech was named Tom. Awesome Guy! When Tom wasn’t there one day when I called Tim the owner helped me over the phone and was every bit as nice and helpful as Tom. Even though it was bad news about my vehicle needing a new engine and way to expensive for me they made me feel comfortable throughout the whole experience and I felt as if they truly cared and empathized with my situation. I don’t leave a lot of reviews but I had to give them one as an awesome experience as well as them going above and beyond for me!!!!

My husband and I have used Complete Automotive for years. The knowledge and service they provide is impeccable. The facilities are always neat, and the staff is super friendly.My most recent experience with Complete was for a vehicle that is still under factory warranty. The front end had been vibrating since I bought the car and it was getting worse. After 5 unsuccessful trips to the dealership, I brought it into Complete Automotive for a second opinion. They quickly diagnosed the issue, provided me with a written estimate and suggested I take it back to dealership so the warranty could cover the expense. They would not let me pay them for the time they spent diagnosing my car, the owner simply stated, “he felt good knowing I would be safe on the roads and that was payment enough for him”! I mean, what business does that - Complete Automotive, that’s who!!Complete Automotive truly understands what customer service means and they always go above and beyond to deliver! Great staff, great service. I went in for an air check, friendly staff found a soft tire that might need repair. I returned the following morning, since I could not get it done that night because I didn’t have the time. The team offered to accommodate knowing they would be closing soon. i returned in the morning. Tech found tire not repairable(bummer). They offered me tire options and service options that would adhere to my busy schedule. They fixed my car without holding me up from any other appointments that day. I would bring my car here again and again. I would bring my wife’s car, my mother’s car, my sister’s car if I had a sister. I trust the good people at complete to give consistent good customer service and fix any of my cars. This is a business that puts the client first. I feel welcome and confident in every member of the team to service my vehicles.

I dont remember the last time I wrote a Google Review for anything, but I feel I should write one about my experience to help others make informed decisions for themselves and their families during this Covid-19 pandemic, particularly those who are in an at-risk population or are worried about spreading the virus to someone who is at-risk. As far as service to the car, it was great. 5 stars. I take my car here for its annual safety inspection every year and will continue to do so.As far as health and safety, no workers at the desk were wearing masks (even though all customers I saw were wearing masks with the exception of one.) They do have 2 outdoor seats and I was lucky to get one, so I waited for my car outside. It is also not their policy to wear a mask when they are inside your vehicle. I assumed they would, but now I know I should have asked. That being said, I did say something about it while I was there because I was uncomfortable and the team was very respectful and they all put on masks before I re-entered the building to pay and check-out. They also sanitized my key for me. So if you have concerns, I would just call in advance and see if they are willing to take some extra steps during your visit.

Every time I visit Complete Automotive, which is fairly frequently with my 2004 Swagger Wagon, the service is better than before. That means a lot from a customer who has been with them since 2007. The owners, Ruth and Tim, are always on-site making sure things are running smoothly, and they have become like family. My terminally ill mom moved from Michigan to live with me and the first time Ruth met her she gave her a big hug. She also shared her personal cell phone number with us so that if mom ever needed anything she could call Ruth. For those of you on the performance side, Complete stands behind EVERYTHING they do. Parts are not foolproof, and if I ever have a problem there is no question that a new part will be installed, no charge. I also want to give a BIG shout out to Thomas. He has been there a long time and will literally stop what he is doing to check a concern I have. They all know the van is the most comfortable ride for mom and they go above and beyond to make sure she is taken care of. I trust them with pricing, quality, and service, and never price check. My friends are amazed at the service and pricing, and I recommend Complete to everybody. They run their business the right way-great service and relationship building!!!

Just went to Complete Auto of Richmond for the first time for an oil change and inspection. Since it was my first time there, the owner gave me a discount coupon for the oil change and I already had one for the inspection. The service was impeccable! And the environment was anything but automotive! Lots of beautiful plants and sunlight, separate rooms for children, a library of great books, and a computer area Best of all, everything was clean, clean with no automotive smells! Highly, highly recommend!

The service, people and pricing are great, and the only reason they are not getting a 5 star review is because the time it took for my tires to get balanced and mounted was more than double than what I was quoted. I understand that it is a first come, first served basis, but getting a more accurate time would have let me plan out my day more effectively and I would not have planned on waiting to get my car serviced had I known it would be a 2+ hour wait.That being said, Justin was a great help over the phone and gave me a great price on two tires. I really did appreciate his honesty and the prices he gave were exactly what was charged.I like the prices and the service here, but in the future I will be weary to trust times quoted.

Complete Automotive is the most genuine car repair and maintenance business I have ever dealt with. Their team is knowledgeable and extremely conscientious of what theyre doing, which is a much different experience than what Ive had with other, more commercial businesses. They are accommodating and fair with your time and issues at hand. The owner, Tim, even met with me himself to review an issue with my car, which was a fault of another local business neglect, and worked with me to come up with a plan to remedy it that fit my budget and timeline.

Second year in a row I’ve been the first person in line for an inspection to get a rushed call at noon that major work needs to be done. May be a great place for a man to drop off a car. Women beware.

This place is amazing!!!! I was in Richmond for a field hockey tournament and on the way back to the hotel 2 of my indicator lights came on. I just had this problem a week before and had it in a shop close to home for repairs. Being 4 hours away from home on a weekend I was very nervous! I brought my car in and explained the situation to Ruth and she immediately said we will run a diagnostic and see what we find! About an hour later they were calling me back and said to come pick up my car! They ran the test, pulled the codes and wrote them all down and explained all of them to me and also noted I was 4 quarts low on oil so they filled up my oil and I asked them what I owed them and they said nothing! They are travel parents too and understood how nervous I was and said the diagnosis and oil was on them - they just wanted me to be safe! Who does that? Great business! Great people!

I just had the most rewarding morning at Complete Automotive. A week ago Pearson Mazda service dept. told me I needed front & rear brakes. I took the time to shop the cost of the brake job. Brandon, the mechanic pulled the wheels off and didnt think I needed brakes. Tyler the service rep confirmed it and took the time to explain that new brake pads measure 10-12 in thickness. My front brakes were at 9 and rear at 8. Mike joined the other two guys in assuring me I did not need brakes. I appreciate their honesty and they did not charge me for the time spent on my vehicle. They just gained a customer for life. Thank you Brandon, Tyler and Mike. I would recommend this repair shop to anyone!

Really LOVE this place, I drive across town just to go here. Good prices, honest answers (they wont tell you to replace what you dont need but will give you a heads up when close) and work. Theres a space for kids, computer area where you can work, its not bad to wait (and never long). I found them from a recommendation from Co workers, and am a loyal fan! Highly recommend!

I use this place consistently for any issues with my cars. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Last time I brought my car in they had to keep it for an extra day, but I needed a car for work. They paid for a rental for that day which was awesome. There prices are very fair (or even less than) compared to other shops in the area. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone needing routine or advanced work done on their vehicles.

I just had the most awesome experience here! A little background here: my inspection sticker expired last month (I know not good). I wanted to go out of town for the weekend and didn’t want to risk getting a ticket. I went to a couple of other shops before coming here and naturally no one could get me in today. Walked in here and Mike with a smile on his face, was like it might be a little wait, but sure we can do it (so friendly)😃. Not only was my wait time minimal the staff was incredibly professional and pleasant! I will definitely come here again!!!

UPDATED: (read to end) I was referred to Complete Automotive after a very bad experience at another auto service center (not naming names!). From my initial contact to the final pick up of my vehicle, it was an amazingly stellar experience! All staff was friendly and very knowledgeable. The service tech in charge of my car sat down with us to explain issues and options, (which, who does that at an auto repair shop anymore?) They were able to not only find the car problem and solution, but I had my car back a full hour and a half earlier than expected This is our new home for auto care! Highly recommend this crew! Since this review, both my husband and son have taken their vehicles for repair with a less than stellar experience. Follow up and follow through are extremely important, neither of which were done. We had to keep calling and following up with the service tech. Some of the work was inadequately completed. There is more but I will end with, just be cautious with whichever auto company you choose. Now we are looking for a new place.

Friendly and helpful staff, several waiting areas including a self-contained play area for young children.Employees were not consistently wearing masks inside.

Poor customer service. Called ahead to see if they had availability today to check brakes. The guy asked when could I come and I replied within the half hour. He said ok. I get there in 15 minutes and he now says he might be able to get me in later today or tomorrow. Bad for business.

Ive used complete automotive for about 8 years and with 3 different vehicles. When there is something that needs repairing on my vehicle and I cannot do it, I take it to these fine people. Prices are fair and honest, I never feel like Im getting taken advantage of and the service/ quality of repairs keeps me coming back. I recommend friends to these great people if they ever need a good repair. Have also purchased tires here, good products. Once, the tires needed repairing and it was taken care of quickly and havent had any issues since the repair. I cannot say enough good things about Complete Automotive!

Normally car maintenance can be another tedious task on the to do list, but its never an issue when you visit here. Between Dennis, Tom, or any other member of the team-- I always know that I will be greeted with the same respect and familiar family-style demeanor and my car will be taken care of honestly, and for a fair price. Dishonest and unskillful. Broken my tire pressure sensors upon tire installation. Other times asked for diagnose code for engine light. Told me knock sensor but it was not. Other time asked them to change brake rotor. Broken my brand new break pads and blame on defect of brake pad. I gave them too many chances. I am done with them.

Its great to know theres a place you can take your vehicle where you will get treated fairly. They are honest and you will have your vehicle fixed right the 1st time. What more can you ask for?! Their showroom is clean and the lounge is very nice. Theres even charging stations for your phone or other devices. The free coffee and tea is another bonus.

I had a nail in my tire, figured this out about five minutes before heading out to the beach. These guys quickly worked me in even though they were really busy. Very courteous and fair priced. Ill be back soon when I need a new set of tires!

I arrived to this shop around 7:20 am to have an alignment as well as my headlights fixed. I was given an estimated time of a 2 hour wait as there were people ahead of me. That was fine. I already had that expectation. After two hours I inquired on the status of my car. He stated that they were just taking it to the back. Hm well okay. Two more hours pass he comes to me with a list of things that were wrong. Not that the car was done. Of course the total was far more than I was willing to spend at that moment so I simply asked for the light to be fixed. Another hour passes I inquire about my car and see that its sitting outside but no one has notified me. He fumbles for my paperwork. I pay $20. I check my lights before leaving and low n behold still arent fixed. He states well u need a new socket. 30-45 minutes pass nothing. In the end I advised them to keep the 20 and close the light up and left at 12:45-1. Nothing was ever fixed. Wasted time and money. The mech. Did not seem to care as well. If you cant fix a light why would I come back for extensive work? Unfortunate

Absolutely the best experience I have ever had at a car repair shop. I recently relocated to Virginia and needed to have both of my vehicles go through a state inspection. Not a problem with the first vehicle but the second vehicle had a fuel leak. Instead of charging me to repair the service, the mechanic told me that this is something that should be covered under warranty and that I should take the vehicle to the dealer to have the issue repaired. I did just that and the issue was definitely covered under warranty. Saved me hundreds for sure! They have earned my business. I’m glad I found this place!

If you want a trust worthy and honest evaluation, look no further than Complete Auto. My truck gets all the TLC it needs here. Huge shout out to Adam, Scott, and Thomas at the front desk for answering my questions and getting the job done quickly. They are well versed in a variety of automobiles in and out, and they do a great job explaining what needs to be done and importantly, why. Go see these guys before you take your vehicle elsewhere. It could save you a lot of money down the road caused by improper service.

I have been a customer of the Complete U haul rental and was pleased with that Service. I recently had one of my Fleet Vehicles Serviced at Complete Automotive. Tom took good care of my vehicle for its 40,000 Mile Service. His Team pointed out some tire wear that if not identified, could have created some safety concerns. I had new tires installed and was in and out quickly, without an appointment ! Very well run Service Oriented Group.

Decent prices, friendly staff. They also have A TON of amenities if you are staying to wait for your car.

I LOVE these guys. I started by renting Uhauls but got a last minute inspection which they were able to accommodate. Today (another last minute request) Tom saved me by fixing a few minor problems with a vehicle for a fraction of the money and time other people were quoting. They have coffee and a charging station and many amazing plants! Really everything you could ask for. I can’t say enough Great things about them. I will definitely be using them for all my future uhaul/car needs.
