You can find better if you shop around and do your research. They are way too expensive because of upcharging parts and astronomical shop prices due to overhead. Please don’t pay so much, go somewhere else. It never hurts to get a second or third opinion! This is what I’ve done and, found less expensive options!

First time going to the KAR shop, they did great quality work on a catalytic converter and A/C repair. Both Jessica and Kris were always available to answer any questions and understanding with any concerns. They were able to get my car diagnosed and fixed within 48 hours, which was much appreciated. Though they may not be the most inexpensive, they are reasonably priced for the quality of work they do. I would recommend the KAR shop to family and friends.

Kris (the ‘K’ in KAR shop) is awesome. Jessica is awesome. The #1 reason we continue to come back is trust. Kris has proven to us time and time again that he is trustworthy. When we had an older minivan, the most valuable visits were where Kris was strait forward about what we DIDN’T need to do/fix. That is a trait that is hard to find - most places (especially dealers) will try to sell you a ton of non-essential services. Kris tells it strait - what you need and what you don’t need. We’ve brought cars in for a purchase inspection - the shop helped us avoid purchasing cars that had hidden problems. Thank you Kris, Jessica and all that work there! If youre not able to get everything done & not sure which repair to get done first, Jessica will tell you what is the most important repair & which ones can wait awhile. The price of repairs are more than fair and affordable. I was pleased with the price of my repairs. They are friendly, caring, professional & easy to talk to. The owner checks on you a day or two later to make sure you are happy with the repairs. My car definitely drove better & no more squeaky breaks. I am very Happy! They do good work and they stand by the repairs. They tend to be pretty busy so plan ahead to get your repair done. But its worth it to work with them.

They have made repairs on both my cars. Had motor mounts put in the civic and one of them turned out to be a bad part and they fixed it no problem. They will honor their work and take care of you.

Very popular shop but they always have time to listen to your car troubles in tandem with an automated system, which I think is a +. Bought a used car and needed a few repairs to pass emissions and they were able to diagnose several electronic issues within 72 hours and had it working within the following week. Fair price for the professional work and all completed in timely manner. Kar Shop are down to earth people who just love cars, also wanted to mention that Kris hooked me up a few years ago with a wheel-well when I was in a bind so props for the good vibes.

Kris and his team are always so helpful and they go above and beyond to diagnose a problem. I took my car in after the A/C wouldnt blow air into the main cabin. They looked and looked and tried to duplicate the problem but it was working just fine for them. They did not charge me to look for the problem and they were honest about the fact that the air was working just fine. I had them change the oil while I was there, and they told me that if it ever happened again, to drive the car straight over and they would find the issue! I have complete confidence in the Kar Shop!!!

I took my car to have a vacuum leak I could not find and they found and fixed it in minutes. I also needed an alignment on my car after installing aftermarket coilovers on my car and they went above and beyond to adjust the coilovers to make the alignment possible. Thanks!

Front desk is friendly but that’s about it! Took car in for a simple oil change and ended up having to add oil when I got home after checking once engine was cooled down! The oil still looks brown like it wasn’t changed! The mechanic was soo unfriendly it was laughable! Told him thanks and he looked at me and scowled! The one time I let someone change my oil and that’s the service I get! Never again!

The most honest mechanics Ive ever encountered. Highly recommend. My car wouldnt start one morning, so thinking it might just be the battery, I jump started, but it didnt work.Took my car to Kar Shop and they told me it was the battery after all. The cables were loose and thats why it wasnt working. They charged the battery back up, Kept it overnight to make sure that next day it was still working... and it was. They checked the fluids, tire pressure and sent me on my way with NO CHARGE!!! Just a big Smile!!!What other business does that nowadays. AMAZING!! Thanks Chris and Josh

Excellent shop. The best in Arizona. Kris knows what he is talking about and will give you a straight and HONEST answer about your vehicle and will fix it right. My wifes Denali broke down while I was out of town. With 2 kids at school and a 4 month old at home she was beyond stressed. I had her tow it to The KAR shop and Kris had the problem diagnosed and fixed in plenty of time for my wife to pick the kids up from school. Thanks Kris.

My vehicle had a charging issue that I needed taken care of quickly and efficiently. I checked the reviews of shops near me and found great reviews of KAR Shop which was only about a mile from home. I called Kris just before closing and he talked me through the issue and said he could get me in first thing the next morning. My car was towed at 8:00am and by 10:30am I received a call with a diagnosis and price. By 12:30pm the vehicle was complete and at a reasonable price. Cant recommend KAR Shop enough.
