DO NOT GO THERE! Stay away from a guy named DJ. He is rude and unprofessional. Last time I called there, he had the companys phone routed to his personal cell phone. He wasnt even at the location. He kept asking...what do you want?! Its no wonder they have many bad reviews and they are closed momentarily. Management and corporate needs to know about this place. AVOID!

I had such an amazing experience with DJ & Antonio. Both of these young men helped me with repairs to both vehicles I brought in on separate occasions. Antonio did quality work & was very honest. Being a woman, Ive easily been taken advantage of in the past, but Midas was more than FAIR! DJ, the manager was up front with me about which repairs were absolutely necessary as well as worked with me to develop a future plan for smaller maintenance work. I usually do not like servicing my car because often times, women are viewed as targets since most of us lack the common knowledge associated with mechanical services. I was pumping air into my tire on a daily basis therefore I knew it was time to have it checked. I walked in and was acknowledged immediately! The professionalism and honesty displayed was outstanding. They have received a permanent customer! THANK YOU DJ!!

Had a great experience. Took my Audi in for service a couple days ago. I was met at the front door by the manager DJ holding open the door and welcoming me in. The tech immediately got to work on my car. Brought a potential problem to my attention and gave me several solutions. Its nice to be kept in the loop and given the opportunity to make the decision that was right for me. This friendly knowledgeable staff made the whole experience easier and comfortable. Completely dishonest service. The manager tried to cunningly scam me with the wrong price on a cheap tire. Thankfully, I cought it after searching their own inventory of tires on their website. Please go anywhere else.

Dishonest service. Overpriced the battery for my BMW. It was said to be real BMW battery but it starts working bad after only a couple years.

Don’t take your car to this place. They are not professional. The tall guy who is the boss don’t treat or talk to people in any good manners. Please don’t take yr car to them or you end up regretting it.

I cannot rate any higher even though nothing appears to be wrong with the actual work done on my car. The terrible problem is that I was quoted one price for the work and then charged a higher price. My husband and I went out of our way to bring this shop our business during what we know is a hardship time for many businesses right now, only to be lied to. If you are going to offer your customers a discounted rate, you better be prepared to abide by it when it comes time for payment. If this is the type of service we can expect from your shop, you will certainly never have our business again.

I had made an appointment to have my oil changed. I received a confirmation of the time and date, so i had my boyfriend take my car to have the oil changed. at his arrival the man told him that the appointment was cancelled, even though we did not receive anything. when he simply told him that we didnt receive an email, the employee began cursing and yelling that the appointment was cancelled. this behavior was completely uncalled for and unacceptable. I would never, NEVER go back there. Honestly, the Lube Center right next door will do it for about the same price, faster, and they are so much more polite. Plus I dont have to worry about my or my loved ones safety just because we arrived for an appointment.

From all the times I’ve got a car maintenance done, this had been the worst experience ever. I was rudely welcomed into the shop and given a bad customer service. The technician got all his dirty marks inside my driver side door. I recommend not using this Midas location but instead using The Lube Center across from them. The staff there were much welcoming and friendly.

I have been going to the Germantown Midas for some time now. They do good work and can be trusted. The new manager DJ is outstanding. He is a true customer advocate and takes an ownership commitment to treat customers fairly and get the job done right. You will see him engaged in the process and verifying what his mechanics are saying to ensure you get an accurate and complete picture of the diagnosis and understand your alternatives.

I walked in and saw there were cars in almost all of the bays, so I expected to be there a while. I was greeted right away and my car was in the shop before I knew it. DJ and the guys were so courteous and professional, not to mention very friendly! He got me in and out in less than an hour. Highly likely to come back for service!

Next time you need any car repairs, go to Midas and ask for the manager, DJ. I highly recommend their services. I came to their shop on Friday with a flat. I was headed out to dinner with my family to celebrate my wedding anniversary. DJ dropped everything and repaired my tire on the spot so I could make my reservation. He also told me I needed four new tires and would need to replace my brake pads. I got a quote from the Hyundai dealership on Monday for the same repair work. Hyundai would have charged me $300 more for the same brand tires. They would have also charged me $400 more for the brake pads. At Midas, I’m saving $700 and as mentioned in the beginning of my post, the service is excellent. Thanks again DJ!

Do not go to this palace. Please don’t go to this place. This place is not safeI. have been to this place twice.Last time I was their they changed me about $600 for a work that cost about $350. I found that later when I asked other mechanics. Couple thing happened with me I have no explanation for fist they asked for give them cash only and second when I asked for receipt the Guy working there print me an estimated paper they he cuts the bottom of the paper with no explanation. It happens that that after changing this amount of money the problem that I paid for that much of money didn’t fixed. I went back to there store today. They were Nervous when they saw me like they were hiding something they were Yelling at me without any reason. 2 guys working there I believe thier names DJ and Antonio ware too Rude. I will never go to this place again. Please be careful this place is not safe and be careful when you take with these people.

I came in to get my tire plugged and was greeted so pleasantly by the manager DeAngelo. He made sure that my daughter and I were comfortable and that I was in and out. Fantastic service, staff is always honest and helpful. I would highly recommend coming here! Ive come here mainly for oil changes but recently came because my car was making an odd sound when I turned. They thoroughly investigated the sound checking any safety possibilities and ended up finding some rocks and a large seed trapped in the undercarriage and framework. I will definitely keep coming back, they are always honest, fair and reliable. I wouldnt take my car anywhere else.

Thanks to Shane and DJ. For going the xtra mile. First off I like to buy my own parts. Well let’s just say, it was my fault. I thought my rear breaks were need of repair. It was the front, that needed the work. So I went retuned it all. After 3 rotator exchanges. The second one was wrong.DJ save me from having to go back a 3 rd time . Heed all the warnings/reviews listed on this site and do not bring your car to this location! I do not normally take the time to write online reviews but I felt that a warning was warranted in this case. I understand that the shop just let go of most of their underperforming employees, but it looks like they missed one – the Master Mechanic, Shane. I was having vibration issues with my car. They mistakenly identified the problem and installed over $1,000 worth of parts. This didn’t fix the issue but I overlooked it because I just wanted my car to be fixed and they seemed like they genuinely wanted to help. I asked for some additional work to be done in hope that the issue could be solved. Shane informed that it was best to install specific parts and that I would need to acquire them myself. After buying almost $1,000 worth of parts, he told me that Midas was not allowed to install parts that weren’t directly sold by the shop. This was alarming, but I already bought the parts, so I heard him out. He seemed more interested in trying to cut the shop out of the deal and offered to do the work “on the side, for cheaper.” He insisted that I pay him directly instead of paying the shop. It seemed like a common thing for him. While I felt uncomfortable, I didn’t feel like I had a choice since I just bought $1,000 worth of parts. I took my car back at least three times and he kept blowing me off. At this point, I realized that he was not actually interested in doing the work. I think it was because the owner may have been around on the times that he proposed to do the work. Regardless, I eventually realized that I was entrusting my car to a guy who was willing to undermine his own place of employment – and, that’s the shop’s top mechanic! Now, Im stuck with parts, and while the other mechanics and the new manager appeared to want to help, its really Shane’s tactics stood in the way. I wish the owner good luck as he works to rebuild the shop’s image. There’s a lot of work to be done.

Too much ego in the interaction with customer. The I has to go down, and Midas has to go up. Only then, itll look professional. Went there to check rate today. Cant come back for service. Ego is too high.

The manager, DeAngelo, was impeccable. His attention to detail and customer service were truly one of a kind. I wasn’t having the best luck at another local Midas and decided to come to this location instead for an oil change. They got me in and out in 20 minutes and I made it work early. Now THAT’s how you run a business. A++

I’m amazed by this place! First of all, I’m thankful for them being opened till 5 on Saturday! My tire completely went down and I had nowhere else to go but there. The service was amazing, very professional and friendly! They overexeeded my expectations and I’ll definitely come back !

There are lots of places to get your vehicle serviced and this place is just average. Went there for a tire patch, it took a full day (dropped the car off in the morning didnt get it back until literally the next morning and they didnt seem that busy). The price for the patch was fair but the staff arent very helpful.

Not punctual , delayed more than hour and half on the time was given for service to be complete and still didnt even start the service and when asked about delay,gave some excuses and the guy was rude and unprofessional .I had to take my car back without service. Very disappointing

After having a unpleasant experience at Gaithersburg Midas, I wrote about my complaint and immediately the area manager called me. Thank you for the fast response. He apologized and told me to go the Germantown store and DJ will take care of me. And that he did. He had great customer service and he made sure I knew exactly what was wrong with my car. He showed me the new parts they were installing and made sure any questions I had were answered. I didn’t have to wait as soon as I came in he pulled my car in. The mechanic fixed everything in a very timely matter. He was also great. Thank you guys so much for everything! At a time when Ive lost faith in customer service, Im thankful for this location. A minor accident occurred after an oil change that became an expensive resolution. They never hesitated to address the problem and keep me as a customer for life. If service was better with other companies, this could go unnoticed but again, at a time when customer service seems to mean little, I truly appreciate Midas.

I went to this location on 02/07/19 for a basic oil change and showed up early. When I first entered the establishment nobody was in the office to assist me. Within ten minutes a older customer walked inside from the garage and informed me he would be leaving soon with his vehicle and the employee would be with me soon. Within minutes the employee working at this location entered the waiting area and asked me what I needed. I informed the gentleman I just wanted a oil change without hesitation he blew me off and told me he couldn’t even do it at all and I had to come back the following week. Now while I understand his perspective it wasn’t even 8am and he was rude and very dismissive. Based on the poor customer service and his abrasive atttiude and unwillingness to even be reasonable I will never come back to this location. I understand they could have been booked but I believe he just didn’t want to work with me because at least one bay was open and he wanted me to believe I had to come back a week later. It’s too many car shops in the area for me to be waiting that long for a basic oil change. I drove down the road for ten minutes and got my oil changed at mr tire and had a great experience without an appointment.

I called this location for an appointment and they told me to come in at noon. I was told it would be a little while to wait and sat there for 2 hours while my car didnt move. When asked what I was waiting for, I was told they forgot about my car. Normally, this would register a 1 star review, but when they realized their error, they apologized and gave me a free oil change, I appreciated their customer service.

I brought my wifes car(Subaru Forester) at Midas Germantown with a noise in the front end.They called me with an estimate for over 1800$ in repairs (for 8 years old car).After i expressed my concern about the price i was advised by the service manager that he can find cheaper parts and possibly bring the repairs to 1650$ which was great deal according to him.I didnt believe it and brought the car to another automotive shop in Germantown and what the car needed was rotation of the tires which cost me 35.00(!) $.I believe that the mechanics are doing a good job but the service manager is a ruthless pirate.Stay away unless you dont care for the price you will pay !

Went in for a oil change. Get home, and car starts smoking. They put a pen size hole in the canister that holds my antifreeze. I have a 2017 vehicle that have not had any problems as i always get serviced at the dealerships. I come here in a rush and out of nowhere my vehicle is leaking antifreeze. Stay away from these crooks.

DO NOT go to this location if you can help it. Unless you have money to waste, and dont care about costumer service. The technician was absolutely unprofessional he seemed like he was offended by me asking about customer parts. He barely let me finish my question before I got it out, because I was not the customer and looking out for my family because the price sounded unusual for the amount of work to be done which Ive had done before. The second I began he was obviously rude and annoyed then said what am I talking to you for? Aw man if you wanna get cheap online parts go ahead, I can go to Walmart and get cheap parts This guy is a bad representative of the company and I will report this as high as I can.

Paid for oil change and Automatic transmission flush, but nothing was done. My vehicle needed oil within a month and when I brought it to check, I found out thT mt transmission oil was not changed either. The guys are friendly, but I was ripped off. Nothing is wrong with my vehicle.

Very poor service. When I went these, they we searching for keys of a car! They told me that it will take 1.5hrs for fixing a leak in the tire, not done even after 4.5 hrs!

I had a 2005 Chevy Cobalt with 450k and showing every mile of wear. The drivers side handle came off when it was opened, protective layer of paint peeling, suspension was out etc... I had decided a long time ago the next time it needed repairs for a significant amount of money it was time to let it go.I could tell the brake pads were out and since I had the lifetime warranty I figured why not?They came out with a $890 quote not including things I had told them were already wrong with the car. They were able to tell me with a straight face that it was a nice little car and with some money would run much longer. I traded it in the next week and got $500 for it.I think they saw a female and thought they could scam me.

As a woman, Im always cautious when I go to an auto repair shop. However, Midas of Germantown has proven to be trustworthy. I keep coming back.

Went in for an oil change and inspection came out spending over a grand, great experience. No problem, i needed some things replaced and for a good price because i was moving to cali. Get to California and my belt is barely on and oil exploded under my hood. Thanks for the inspection last week, Im just sitting on the side of the highway enjoying the scenery. The closest mechanic thats opened is in freaking Mexico. Well, Feliz Navidad

I left feeling lied to. When I called I was quoted a price for an oil change. Service was friendly, typical auto service environment. But the bill came out 50% higher than expected. I was informed it was for labor, which was never disclosed or mentioned before service began. It would have been nice to know that labor was not included in my quoted price. Then I could have avoided them all together. Im happy with the work, but I feel their dishonesty and hidden charges more than overshadow their friendly faces.

I brought my Camry there to look at my back breaks. They told me that my pads and rotors were shot and that my calipers were frozen and needed to be replaced. Total cost, $900. On top of that they told me that I needed a new strut on my front tire which brought the total repair to $1300.I decided to bring my car to Toyota because there was a recall on my window so I also had them look at my breaks and strut for a second opinion. Turns out that the calipers were not frozen just needed to be lubed and adjusted. There was also nothing wrong with the strut. Total cost, $400.So I would get a second opinion if you go here. Either they purposely rip you off or they are unqualified or too lazy to give a proper diagnosis.

I always have great expirences at Midas in Germantown. The staff is friendly, efficent, and knowledgable. My car is in good, honest hands at this shop. I highly recommend it to everyone. Great prices and promotions too.

A nightmare !!! I would give this negative if i could! DO NOT GO HERE! I never write reviews but after dealing with this Midas for a month and a half and yet getting my car back in worse condition than what it previously went in for I felt the need to warn everyone on how terrible the owner is.Brief breakdown on my issue: we had previously gone to this midas two months ago to get the exhaust fixed . Work done no issues and it cost about 500. A month later I had noticed ticking noise coming from my engine and I informed my husband who again brought it in to midas who in turn told me this is a separate issue than what we had fixed before. They quoted us 650 to fix the issue. OK whatever at this point I just wanted it done because I have a big move coming up and I am in the military and had no time to waste. we brought the car in Friday so I could get it fixed before work on monday. Saturday comes and no update so my husband calls. They inform us not only do they have an issue with the bolt rhat needed to be replaced but now my head gasket needed to be taken care of because it was broken. They informed me there would be no change in price since they had already quoted me and they would also pay for a rental. OK awesome! You know that saying if its to good to be true it is. Well a month and a half later and a phone call everyday we finally get my vehicle back. This time in worse condition than what we had brought it in for. The car keeps stalling out and AGAIN they inform me it is a separate issue than previously brought in for so they refuse to fix it. Long story short the owner refuses to provide us with paperwork to take this to small claims court and refuses to give the parts back his mechanics replaced. Never in my life have I been so appalled at the way a supposed brand name company runs. The mechanics are nice guys and did their best but the owner refuses to help us any further. DO NOT GO THERE ! I will be filing a small claims and reporting them to the better business Bureau.Update: brought it to Chevy and they informed me my issues were a direct result of midas replacing the head. Just to find the issue and fix could range up to 3000. I called corporate and filed a formal complaint. The owner has 48 hours to get back to me.beware the owner also owns two other Midas in Gaithersburg and Rockville. I would stay far away from this man. when I had to deal with him I immediately got aggravated and had to raise my voice. He hung up on me. After dealing with his horrible service for another two weeks on top of that month and a half my husband asked for an apology for him hanging up on me. He told my husband good luck you married her. Never in my life have a dealt with such ignorant customer service. The worst! He was upset I filed a formal complaint. Im upset I had to purchase a new vehicle due to their faulty mechanical work. Better business Bureau and attorney general have all been contacted. I hope this man loses his business. Unfortunately its going to take attorney lot more than me filing formal complaints. This man is lucky I am in the military and do not have time to deal with him otherwise I would immediately bring him to court.

Very bad experience, our car almost burned. We went to change the oil of our car on Wednesday June 8, and on Sunday June 12, the engine light came on. The reason the light engine was on, was due to low oil , they never put back the oil cap on the engine. And the oil spilled all over. Bad experience!
