John, the store manager waited on me. He was excellent, knowledgeable on the dryers. He was very patient with me and took the time to explain each dryer and answered all my questions. This is the first time I have dealt with B&S, I am very impressed! They earned my respect.

This was the first time we went to Bray & Scarff. The sales people were friendly, but not obtrusive. Once we were ready with questions, we found Dan Evans to be knowledgeable and low key. The prices were about the same as the big box stores, which surprised us. Installation was scheduled in a couple of days and the installers were great. They were careful of our property and took the time to answer questions. We will definitely recommend this company and will return when we need other appliances.

Went to Best Buy and bought a new refrigerator, NIGHTMARE! Wish I had gone to Bray and Scarff first! Walked in and was asked if I needed some help immediately. Told him what I needed, he took me right over and showed me my options. I explained my set up which BB had an issue with and he told me not an issue for them. They would be able to take care of it and install. He then walked me through all of the pricing, fees and warranty. Very happy I ended up here.

We have yet to have the appliances installed, but our Salesman Mark Kelbaugh was absolutely fantastic to work with. He was very laid back (no sales pressure), extremely easy to work with, showed us all of our options, answered all of our questions and was very patient. We went in to purchase a refrigerator and ended up adding a new stove top microwave and dishwasher to the list. Neither of which we needed. Our dishwasher is barely 2 years old. However, Mark pointed out that having matching appliances would help us in selling our home in a few years. He actually took the time to determine if the appliances we were purchasing would be for long term use from us, or more short term. We still opted to purchase more premium appliances because of Marks knowledge.

On 07/02/2021 we ordered a GE CAFE French door oven with Dan Evans at the Germantown store. Dan answered all of our questions and we cannot say enough about his professionalism.. Delivery was expected to be in September and we were pleased to get a call from Dan letting us know the delivery was moved up to 07/15. Upon delivery which was precisely in the window forecasted I noticed the bottom of the box was slightly damaged on both sides at the rear of the unit. The delivery men immediately took it upon themselves to open the box an document the slightly bent metal of the housing with pictures and written notes on the delivery ticket. Needless to say I was impressed with the delivery men for taking the initiative. Because the bent sheet metal would not interfere with the operation of the oven my son, son-in-law and I installed the oven. The next day I received a text message to contact James Spenser from Bray and Scarf. We had some problems connecting and again a day or two later James contacted me and expressed the concern Bray & Scarf had about the damage. Again I was impressed with the concern given to a rather minor amount of damage. I have dealt with Bray & Scarf over the last 30 years at the Beltsville, Rockville and now the Germantown store and will be sure to visit them when our 22 year old refrigerator bites the dust.

Dan could not have been more helpful. I appreciated the fact that he was very knowledgeable about his product line as that made my purchase easy and headache free! I will definitely as for him the next time I’m in need of an appliance at Bray and Scraff! His warm personality was a bonus too!!

I was stuck with a 12 year old GE washer needing at the very least a new motor and possibly an inverter and control board. In addition my GE dryer needed a new heat sensor. I called Jon at Bray & Scarf and he was very helpful in letting me know what was available quickly and would be reliable. They will deliver the new Maytag set in a week, install, and take away the old units. So far, Im very happy with doing business with them and Jon.

My experience at B&S was excellent!! The service was very good and efficient!

Worst ever experience with a retailer/service provider. Ordered a very expensive built-in fridge online, paid the total immediately, but then: nada. Was told it would be likely 3 weeks, sent in photos and measurements, sent them again (!), then went weeks at a time with NO INFO from them. (COVID supply chain issues, I get it, but. . .). Finally they sent out someone to do the measuring. OK, and was told the $49.95 cost of that visit would be refunded (um, not yet). Then installers (3+ months later, btw) said they couldn’t install it without damage to my kitchen—about when the B&S folks informed me—surprise!!—that it would cost $778 to install it! At this point, I asked for a refund. Installers came again, installed it successfully—except that they turned the WRONG FAUCET under the sink, for which I just paid a plumber $1200 to fix. I am surprised at the positive reviews.The Germantown store, at least, is staffed by truly incompetent people.

He efficiently sent an estimate after returning my initial inquiry yesterday and today I paid for it and arranged delivery and installation for next week. Prior to Bray & Scarff opening their store at this location, we used to purchase our appliances at Home Depot or on-line. However, now that weve had the pleasure of working with Bray & Scarff on the replacement of our last two appliances, we wouldnt consider going anywhere else. We always thought they were a high end store, but there isnt anything further from the truth. Their prices are extremely competitive and their sales force is incredibly knowledgeable -- much more so than any person youd find at one of the big box stores where staff members come and go with tremendous frequency. The delivery of our refrigerator went seamlessly. Everything was done by text -- including the confirmation time for the delivery as well as a reminder about 15 minutes before the arrival of the crew with our merchandise. Everyone at the Germantown store is very pleasant and helpful and the same extends to their delivery team. This is definitely the place you should go the next time you need to update/replace any appliance in your home. On a side note - weve also worked with Nathan (their kitchen and bathroom designer) on the renovation of two of our bathrooms and we cant say enough good things about him. The first bathroom was completed about six months ago and work is beginning on the master bath in the next six weeks. Weve worked with other designers for prior renovations, but hes the absolute best by far. You should definitely make it a point to stop by this local store and see what they can do for you.
