The shop is very well stocked. Prices are amazingly $5 and below for every item. I enjoyed buying kids books and gifts.

My wife and I come here every so often and weve loved every trip. Theyve always got a huge selection of stuff to check out and majority of the stuff is actually pretty decent as far as quality is concerned. They also sell squishmallows from time to time so thats a huge plus.

I had a Personal Pan Pizza and a Pepsi for dinner. The atmosphere is good, and the manager, Barbara, is the very best. She has improved this place a great deal.

They will not hire people with job coaches. Very discrimatory. My son has autism and is high functioning and very capapble of learning and really wanted to work here for his very 1st real job out of high school.. When the manager checked, she said their corporate said no, he cant have a coach with him! He needs to work by himself. They would not even give this situation a chance!! My son just needed a little extra help till he gets it. He just graduated with a career path diploma. You say you all need help so bad and close early due to a shortage of employees? You all cant need it that much. Shame on you!!

Love this store, u can find a lot for under $5 and its fun to take kids bc they can pick out something without breaking the bank 😉

I went there with my mother we were just shopping for my daughter and a little boy we keep my understanding just killing time or she wanted candy to eat. But anyway the place was nice and clean not crowed at all in and out.

When I went it was so fun and it had lots of cool things to buy and different things and yes anyone who hasn’t been there is missing out on fun

I didnt go into this place with high expectations. I went in thinking that this place would have all kinds of things that other places just dont want to carry and thats why they are so cheap. I then was extremely pleased to see that I was very wrong. This place was wall to wall covered in things to interest anyone and everyone. My girlfriend found plants, I found a switch case, she then found books that she says are normally $30, then I found a basketball. Even with all that stuff, we grabbed some dog toys and a card game before walking out of there still spending less than $50. It was amazing and Ive recommended it to everyone of our friends over the course of the last several days. Check it out!

I always find really cool things at 5 below. I bought some LED light strips that change color and have a remote control. Im going to use them on Halloween to light a spooky scene that Im setting up on the porch. Its going to look really neat!!!

Shelves bare. Not much to choose from. Very disappointed. Will not go back. The one in Winston Salem NC much better.

Good buys but small

I went into the $5 below in Gastonia once a year or two ago and hated it. It was dirty and more unorganized than any retail store Ive ever been to. Imagine my surprise when I walked in to find a beautiful and clean store after giving them a second chance. I even found a manager to tell them how pleased I was with the updates. I found a very nice leather woven rug which I took to the check out. I rang up and didnt think too much about my total being $6 even. When I got home I had a 65¢ donation. To where? No one asked or suggested a donation as I checked out. I know its only 65¢ but multiply that times every customer and it adds up pretty quickly to go to who knows what. Be honest 5 Below!

5Below isnt a bad store. They often have some decent stuff. Its all overstock stuff you know they got for pennies. So, you almost cant help but feel a little ripped off when you pay up to $5 for something. But thats retail at its finest. So, if you can realize this and get past it, you can find some neat different things here and there.

Just enjoy looking around.

You can find weeb candy here if you like that.

Love 5 below but this store never has any inventory its always a mess and your staff is to worried about theft they neglect the customers asking for help.

Five Below is an awesome store! I love that I always find something unique or something brand name that would usually cost more. My absolute favorite thing about Five Below is the make up/skincare items. They always have gorgeous makeup/eyeshadow palettes! Great place to shop! A+++ 💯

I love this store. Especially around the holidays!! Have a little of everything and so many great stocking stuffers. I went in about an hour from close ans had a pretty good experience other then the cashier was trying to do something and seemed irritated that I needed to check out. She also gave me the wrong change, almost 1$ less then I was supposed to get back but I was tired amd it was only like a 1$ so I wasnt about to go back in. But Id advise putting someone at the register that can count a bit better lol

Like the store but I went to just pick up a face mask and they close at 7PM and before I could get to the door I was welcomed with we close in 5 minutes and they still well about 12 mins before closing. Then I seen about 3 other people who were just going in for some face masks around 6:56 and they were turned away. I work and look forward to the end of my day but at the end of the day you shouldnt be turning your customers away who simply wanted some face masks with 4 mins left before closing. I really felt like giving the lady a mouth full just plain rude

Dont let the name fool you they have items for $7 and $10 . Its still a decent store but at this location theres no prices on half of the items and no price checker unless you take it to the front, so most of the time I go up with a basket full of stuff and end up putting most of it back. Please price all merchandise if anyone is reading this from the company.

Its five and below so most items are 5 dollars some 3 you will hardly see any dollar items unless its candy but its all good nothing Ive seen so far exceeded 5 dollars the store very clean nice employees and spacious enough to navigate your shopping cart around I like the clothes bought some for me and my kids found everything I was looking for i recommend others going its decent i promise

Some good people there but overall poorly managed to the highest level... No type of organization what so ever the prices are ok you pay for what you get. If I had the choice I would probably try my luck in Charlotte and not this gastonia store. Maybe one day they will get it together but that wont be until they like any other team rebuild in my honest opinion a joke of a store....
