My experience at this Gastonia location is regarding the Installation Bay. I purchased a remote start and stereo for installation for my 2011 Nissan Altima. I scheduled an appointment back to back to get both the installation done on 9/7/21. After three hours, I received a call stating that the tech was behind due to technical issues on the remote install and could only finish installing that one for that day. I understood because it happens and I wanted it to be installed correctly. I was rescheduled to the following Tuesday 9/17/21 to install the stereo. On that day, I received a call that my installation needs to be cancelled because the tech will be out for the week and I was rescheduled for Tuesday 9/21/21. Again, I understood because things can happen that can cause someone to be out work especially during this time. On Tuesday 9/21/21, I brought my car in for the installation. After about an hour and half, I was called and informed my car was ready. The next day, I noticed that the cover piece to my dash board was not put back correctly, my display control buttons did not work and my shift control cover was missing. I contacted Best Buy and was told that I would have to go back to the install Bay to notify the techs to fix the problem. The first available day I was available to go was on Monday on 9/27/21.Needless to say, after spending roughly $1000 and three week and three installation appointments later, my stereo was NOT installed correctly and other parts of the car malfunctioning and missing. Not a happy customer.

Please do not buy their in-house Insignia television. I bought the Insignia fire TV on 04/04/2020 and in less than 20 months it only has sound and no picture. I went in to the store today with my receipt and was told I should just buy a new one because the Geek Squad will charge the price of the TV to fix or call Insignia directly. Keep in my mind this is their brand. I called the warranty line and they said this is a known issue but wouldnt do anything past 12 months. This is how people are treated when the spend over $400 during a pandemic. Beware!!!

This is our second visit to this Best Buy where the first associate (same person both times) that we approached had no interest in helping us.We started looking on our own and another associate walked by. We asked him for help and he was very helpful and generous with his time. After he helped us we were able to make a decision based on his help. Next we were looking in another area which happened to be Williams expertise and he helped us make another decision!Thank you William for fantastic guidance today and helping us so well!

Went to Best Buy for a new router since ours was knocked out by the lightning 🌩️ storm on Sunday night. The employees that came to help us were very knowledgeable and helpful. Spent more than we wanted but think we made a good buy 🙂.

Just got a cell phone and an employee by the name of Joshua is the reason why I gave 5 stars his costumer service was AMAZING 👏 he went above and beyond the call of duty. He had us in and out in no time. He answered ALL our questions about the new phone and questions that wasnt phone related. He deserves a raise or a big bonus. I highly recommend this young man. Bought a car stereo with backup camera. Brother has geek squad coverage . BEST Buy in Hickory NC failed to explain everything theres to know about the prices for different parts of installation even though its free installation on everything through the geek squad. I went to Gastonia, NC to get stereo and back up camera installed. Employee gave me a extremely hard time and tried to charge me two hundred extra dollars which I didnt pay!! I returned the stereo and back up camera. The employee didnt know what the geek squad is and he works at BEST Buy. His name is Justin F. Anyway make sure you ask a million questions and make sure they know what they are doing! Ill NEVER go back there.

Store is well laid out but now has a large area in the center with no shelves or products...seems like wasted space. Staff is usually very attentive, possessing at least some basic knowledge of products. However, sometimes it is difficult to get an employee to help, even at times when number of shoppers is low. This appears to be due to understaffing, not a matter of being ignored by staff.

I bought a Tom Tom I brought it home and put it in my truck and it would not work I took it back to Best buy just to find out I have to pay for a update as well. The end of March I bought a whestler police scanner brought it home and couldnt program it I took it back just to find out I have to pay more money just to get the programs for it for 6 mounts of programs and now it will get the channels all around me but not the county I live in so I took it back cant get a refund only store credit why would I want to buy anything from Gastonia Best buy finally that sent it back to get me a nother one I have over $300 dollars in and have nothing to show for it. ??????

When I first walked in there was an associate already completely ready to help me. I shopped around for a bit and couldnt find what I needed on my own and it was no trouble finding someone to get me what I needed. The associate was knowledgeable and friendly and helped me find which Samsung Tablet I would most benefit from. The gentleman didnt seem to try and upsell me anything and really was concerned with finding me what I needed. I really appreciate the help I recieved and I will always consider BestBuy when purchasing new tech.

My husband cannot wear a mask for health reasons. According to the ADA, he is not under obligation to wear a mask. The employees at Best Buy not only dont get that, but they became belligerent and treated my husband badly. The manager was particularly rude. Over the years, we have been loyal customers of this store. Not anymore. You can find the same things at Amazon, often for a better price.

I was looking to buy a 65 quality TV, I called Best Buy in Gastonia, I never got to speak to anyone, put on hold...I called 2 more times and it was the same thing. I was on hold a total of over 30 minutes and never got to actually speak to a person! I hung up and Will NEVER purchase electronics from Best Buy ever again! Wow, this store has the best safety precautions to protect us that I have seen! They offer one on one customer service. I had questions about a new computer, Ethernet cables, modems, routers, and local channel reception devices. All of my questions were proficiently answered. I do not want to have to keep replacing equipment because Spectrum just told me last week that they will not allow firmware updates for DOCSIS 3.0 equipment. However, they have not provided us with an updated list of approved equipment. You cannot find better customer service anywhere! I have depended on Best Buy for many years. I trust them. The equipment that I bought years ago still works! I am not aware of another store that I could go to and get the brands I want with the capabilities that I need. Everyone needs to be aware that we need DOCSIS 3.1 going forward.

Had an appointment set at this store to get some mobile install done. This located is 45 minutes from my home and I took off from my job to do this. Upon arrival I was told they didn’t feel comfortable doing it, they would have to drill into my car also and it would take along time. They never reached out to me to cancel the appointment or anything. I was told to go back to the Best Buy that told me to purchase the part and let them do it. This was a waste of my time and very unprofessional. I will be contacting the corporate office as well.

I asked for some help and the lady didnt turn around. It was like I was bothering her while she put up stock. Just rude. Another sales person walked up and asked me could he help. He stood there for about 5min or so answering any questions we had and even gave us some information to help us to determine what glass we wanted. He was awesome had no problem helping and going the extra mile. I didnt get his name thats because he was great when someone is rude you know their name. Her name started with jess. I want give her whole name. Maybe management might see this and know her name (Maybe she had a bad day) I dont think thats the case.

Hey, they made it thru the first 6 months of covid. Did they make mistakes? Of course. Did orders get misplaced? You knowthey did. But here we are 11 months later and we survived in some small way.
