I can’t believe I’ve somehow missed this little honey hole of greatness. I was craving donuts and didn’t want to make the drive to get the other place. I randomly came across Grateful Donuts around 9:30 am. Thinking their selection would be little I called ahead. To my surprise they were fully stocked. I bought a 2 variety dozen and a couple more. It was hard to choose with so many interesting choices. The employees were extremely kind and very patient while I tried to make my choices. If you’ve not stopped by or driven through (yes, they also have a drive through), may I suggest you do. It’s really worth it! Wow! They were absolutely delicious.

Monita’s Bakery is an oasis of fresh comfort in the KrispyDuncan conveyor belt world of carbon copied donuts. Upon entering, you are greeted with a warm welcome only explained by a love for the craft of making delicious hand made donuts and other delectable sweets. Time was never wasted selecting my mixed dozen cheat day donuts, and Max was more than grateful describing each Inquiry. Lastly, I topped it off with Max’s signature caramel macchiato. After all, picking out such wonderful cakey (word?) goodness can be exhausting. Max and the cheerful Monita’s crew hasn’t seen the last of me. Until next time✌🏼

I LOVE THEIR DONUTS SO MUCH! I won’t get them anywhere else, I wouldn’t recommend any other place for great donuts And great service! Hands down the best!

This was honestly the worst donuts Ive ever had in my entire life. Not only were they stale and hard, but they tasted horribly. I will change my review when I get a full refund for my half a dozen mixed donuts. Staff was friendly but not worth the money. Even Walmarts donuts are better then this. I am not sure if yall are baking these fresh daily, but I doubt it because I have honestly never had such bad donuts in my life.

Had a GrubHub pickup order at Grateful Donuts this afternoon. Ive never been here before, so I didnt know what to expect. Was created by the owner when I arrived it was very friendly and helpful. He gave me the order then he let me know that he put extra doughnuts in the box with the half dozen mixed donut order. Definitely impressed me that he would give extra doughnuts to his customers when most places are barely giving you enough.

Had donuts twice here and was not impressed. Both times they were dry and lacked flavor. Service was extremely slow.Ive been here 3x though. I sat behind crazy teens in the drive thru for over 20 mins the first time. Not kidding. I drove off. They were open, servicing them, and I have no idea what was taking so long.The 2nd trip I used a coupon from the schools coupon book and waited atleast 15 mins. Was not great. Just okay. The 3rd trip back, everything was pretty good, but the service was lacking again.I will try the donuts one last time on my 4th trip, right after opening one day. If that time is the same as the others then I wont be back. I always try to give a place the benefit of the doubt, especially since this place has decent reviews. But 3 trips here - months apart - at totally different times... Not what I expect for fresh donuts and good service.

I dont go there. They look like they are closed. The one time I did go, I wasnt impressed. The best doughnuts around here are at Fultondale Bakery. They have been open since I was in school and I am 58 now. You cant beat them. Not even Krispy Kreme.

We love this little donut place in Gardendale. The staff is so kind and the donuts are delicious and always fresh. We wish they were open on Sundays but other than that we have no complaints!

Went there while in Alabama on a business trip.Google reviews looked promising so I thought to myself, i’ll check it out.The area doesn’t look real promising, but have to tell you the doughnuts are absolutely delicious.The fruit pebble doughnut is amazing!

This was my first visit to Grateful Donuts. The owner was so nice and hospitable. I got home with my assorted box of donuts and started with the donut holes and apple fritter first. Both were delicious!! Now I have to try the others and most certainly will go back when I am in the area. May God Bless this business and I hope it is around for years to come. ❤

This is the sweetest little shop. The employees are always so nice and accommodating. We usually go on Saturday mornings, and there is always a wide selection. Most important, the donuts are delicious. We are so glad to have this store in our town!

Was impressed by the Variety of different items and donuts!! They have traditional favorites like apple and peach fritters, I am a fritter person and these are top notch...and they have daily creations always doing something new...coffee bar is great especially if you like your coffee strong the espresso is the way to go...I had the JAMAICA ME CRAZY blend...most of all it’s just a fun place to drop in because the staff are fun people to talk with and just good people!! Grateful for this place !!

These folks are awesome! Today they had a major hiccup with some staff that called in but they were able to handle the order of 5 dozen assorted doughnuts with only a small delay. The staff in our office loves them and so do my customers. I think they do a great job there and they know your name when you come in to buy from them...not something that many places do anymore but they do and its worth it.

I have always been a fan of Krispy(years) But Greatful Donuts has the best donuts hands down! Even just the plan glazed is amazing but there are so many to choose from. They will be my go to donut place for now own.

Best tasting donuts around. Theyre not made by machines, or put up for tomorrow. These donuts are made fresh every morning the open sign is turned on! Kolache breakfast, Americano, Espresso, Cappuccino, Frapes, multiple coffee flavors to choose from and multiple different flavors to put in it!
