After a Sams Club trip I come here from the island because all too often visitors stocking their vacation rentals or getting last minute necessities leave the shelves empty in Galveston. This store usually has what was missing in my home town store and is a bit less crowded.Since a good Chinese restaurant is also hard to find on island I like to call in an order to the neighboring Rose Garden (Orders are always done in about 15 minutes, fresh, hot, delicious, well priced, and friendly staff). You cant go wrong, please support a local business who is doing business right (Rose Garden). Anyway, this Walmart is a good one--very clean and well stocked.

So hot in there. Why do they not use their AC. Customers will stay longer and spend more money if it wasnt so hot, and now some customers are still wearing masks which makes the overall experience exhausting. Please for the love of customers, turn on the air conditioner!!

DO NOT ORDER GROCERIES FROM THIS LOCATION! I placed an order on Saturday. I received notification that it had been delivered…no groceries. I tried to contact that department, no answer. I called customer service who told me to keep calling the store. Finally customer service was able to issue a refund. I followed up the next day and customer service said no refund had been processed. Then they refunded the $7 delivery charge but not the $80+ for groceries or the delivery tip. Called the store again, was told the manager would call me back, right. Of course that never happened and repeated calls have gone unanswered. I’m on the line for millionth time with customer service trying to get back the money they took from me. If you spend $80 on groceries at Walmart there’s a good chance it’s because you don’t have a lot of money to spare. It’s been 5 days since this happened and hours of my life for something that should have been easy to correct. Order at your own risk.

Stopped in for a few items. So nice to see that not only are the employees rude, but the machinery as well. Were talkin full-on automated assault. I dipped out of action alley in an effort to escape...but the T7 was one step ahead, as I neared the end of the aisle, he came to finish what he had started...

Great place to get real food and not fast food.

I had gone to 2 Sams locations to locate puchase Northern toliet tissue, the only brand I use. They were out.. Ended up going to Walmart off of Eldorado and 45 South. The larger packs I normally get they didnt have. I was able to purchase their pack of 8 count. No limit.👍🏾

Have you ever been to a Walmart? Then you have been here. Nothing special about this one. The set up differs from location to location so this one is set up as follows (Looking at the store from the parking lot). Groceries on the right, clothes in the middle, baby stuff back right, shoes next to baby section, then electronics back center. Toys next to electronics, outdoors left of that, auto center back left. House hold goods and tools left middle, pets front left, makeup and personal care then pharmacy completes the loop. Sewing and crafts are mid store before you get to electronics. Garden center is far left. That about does it.

Today I had a flat. Looked online says Walmart is open til 7 p.m.. Got there with my tire at 6:20 and was told they were closing down and would not help me. No other customers at the time. Really sad that the man putting the tires up into the bay had no interest in helping a customer buy a tire. Just no compassion at all. Went to Firestone across the highway and got the help I needed. Firestone was happy to help. They stay open until they close at 7 P.M. and stay until customers are taken care of.

Wont be shopping here anymore since this particular store is price gouging on Gatorade. Selling 20 oz bottles for 1.78 per bottle while they sell 8 packs for significantly less (which arent in stock here and have become harder to find.) I have never seen them sell 20 oz bottles individually in the stores (the larger 32 oz yes...which are on the site for 1.18 but out of stock) so it looks like theyre just breaking up 8 packs to rip off customers.So Ill take my business elsewhere.

I only go here when I absolutely have to. Customer service is impossible to attain, more cashiers are needed for volume of every Walmart I have ever been in. Some people oercer to use a live cashier over a machine taking their job, also use cash, and we should not have to stand in a 30 minute line because 2 registers are open. The parking lot is very dark at night as well.

The store 🏬 is very clean and the food fresh. You dont have to stay in line long. The cashier was fast and friendly. Love you Walmart

This my usual pick up spot. But last couple times they have forgotten items. The point of pick up is to simplify your life. Not to get home and have to go back because they forgot to load something. And not even a simple bag. Large items. How do you miss them. I mean really?? Other than the last couple of mess ups decent service. Just irritating 😒

No matter if you are on vacation or at home Walmart will make you feel better with an at home sense of wellbeing. There for you in any weather, and that makes shopping at their store a convenience that we take for granted. Now we can shop online and get exceptional services. I like the fact that the produce isles are always looking fresh and delicious 😋. A lot is going on at Walmart, banking, hair and nail salons, pharmacy, and the variety of products to satisfy whatever the need and areas of your concerns. I just love how different the atmosphere is, everyone always seem to be having a good time. The easy going, the smiles 😃 is always wonderful to see!.

Its always clean. Everyone is so nice. They always speak when you come in. They will help if you cant find something. The Pharmacy Dept. is also great. This Walmart is exceptional❤❤

Experience was as as good as it gets for Walmart. There are so many things I am disappointed in Walmart that it is what it is.

Its seem like Walmart only stocks 6-8ea. - Keystone Beer 30pk cases. Each time I stop at El Dorado I have to make a trip down the road to Foodtown for Mt beer. No worries, soon it will be at H.E.B. Get with the program and build a bigger beer section and get more Registers open. Quit making us work to give you Our Money. Again, no worries H.E.B. is coming soon

Big and spacious, and Everytime I got turned around and asked an employee for help, they were all so friendly and responsive. Love this Walmart.

Walmart was especially helpful with my shopping and when I asked a question that the associate didnt know, she tracked down someone who did. Afterwards I found out she asked 5 people before she got the answer. And to make matters even more special, she was actually on her lunch break and never said a word. I only happened to hear her supervisor tell her when she returned to work from her break, she was to relieve a certain cashier. I cant tell you how just one person who is willing to go such lengths meant to me . I tried to thank her by buying her a lunch, she politely declined and told me to have a blessed day. WAY to go WALMART!!

Absolutely horrible customer service in that store. I went in looking for a simple item after filling up my basket. Spoke to five people and no one offered to look for the item I was seeking.

Clean store and stocked shelves. Husband and I found what we were looking for. Also, husband was able to once again get oil and oil filter changed to the type oil and filter that he prefers. Due to pandemic, Walmart had stopped doing this service. Other places were charging up to $95 and only using Valvoline. My husband only paid $38.50 and got the Pennzoil type that he prefers. Also, they took him right away. He didnt have to wait to be serviced. This Bay Area Walmart was great! Their prices saved us money on all of our purchases. Staff were helpful and friendly and knew their stuff!

Only one checker, at very short counter. Everyone had to self ck. We had a basket full. Groceries, plus. Very inconvenient for seniors, pricing is not good enough to compensate for no service. Will only shop there rarely. No longer a value added experience. Too bad management has made these decisions.

I buy a lot of things there and I really like the place, but they so need to more checkouts open not make way to many people have to the scan and go. Not everyone likes to scan and go. We prefer to have a person to check us out and 2 checkouts arent enough for such a large store. Some people may not mind all of these things but I do and I know its just my opinion but I know other people feel like I do.I need to go there. So I endure the 10 lanes that are not open just go to the 2 that are open and stand there in line just wondering why they put the check out there in the 1st place if they are not going to use them. It just doesnt seem like good business to me.

I was really disappointed in how we were treated like thieves from the get-go. I couldnt get a bottle of $7 body spray without them putting it in a security box and then felt like the floor walkers were stalking us. The store was the cleanest and mist appealing Walmart Ive ever been in though...

The KFC of hardware/groceries. Same o same o, could be 1970 in there. Usually find anything you are looking for. I found a lost kid in office supplies. He is now 25 years old. Mom quit looking for him 15 years ago. Still, I go there often.

This location is a great store. Stocked nicely and kept clean from my own personal experience. The restroom was kept clean as well during a visit to this location! Thank you!

I recently placed an online grocery order pickup at this location. It was the wrong location. I am 5 hours from there. I called the number and had it switched. My app still said the Friendswood location. I called and spoke with Brooke in the pickup department. She was very helpful and made sure I had my order and all my questions answered. I hope she sees this amd/or this gets to the right person.

This place has worsened over the years. Ive lived in the area 20 years plus and shopped here since I was in high school. Just today I was there in the self checkout (because there is never any cashiers at the registers of course ) , when I scanned the plums . A lady comes to me and asked if I scanned my avocados as plums , insinuating that Im stealing of course. Not only are you forced to scan your own groceries, you are then accused of stealing. This is why HEB and target will always be better than Walmart , because at least they focus on customer service

Sonia in Home Goods was super helpful and came to my aid when I looked lost. She spent over 10 minutes helping me track down a travel shower caddy. Shes awesome and went above and beyond. Thanks Ms. Sonia!

This review is purely in terms of the grocery pickup experience ONLY. I rarely ever set foot in the store itself.My pickup is always on time and an associate always attends to me after a reasonable amount of waiting. The associates are always friendly and quick. My products have never been damages and I rarely have issues with rotten fresh produce. Ill definitely keep using Walmart for grocery pickup.

Typical Super Wal-Mart. Not enough people on floor to ask questions. No where near enough registers open to check out customers. If you need to use the bathroom go somewhere else. They are always disgusting here.

Cleanes walmart and product and produce is good not like other walmarts around ,4 times ive bought merchandise from around other Wal-Marts and not satisfied with what was given expired or spoiled good on top of that bad manegment and employees giving attitude to me an other customers one employee didt even want to help the customer she told me tell the manager if the customer needed help all I sed was I am not with the customer just letting you know he needs help

This store is very unprofessional. I ordered groceries on Saturday around 4pm. It is now Sunday (2pm) and still nothing! I contacted the store several times and they keep saying its going to be there in 30 mins. I wait 2 hours then call back to be told the same thing. The manager needs to be fired. I will never order from this walmart again!

Really disappointed in this grocery pickup service. We ordered over 20 items and only received 3 when we arrived. The lady handing us our items was no help at all and left without a care. We called the pick up service number and had to wait for someone to figure out what happened.

Seen Walmart workers doing nothing everywhere and yet self check out was the only thing open with a 20 person line. Ridiculous

Ordered a piece of furniture online for pick up but it was canceled. Drove to the store and immediately found it on the shelf. Then spent a literal hour trying to get assistance getting the piece.

Only giving this 5 Stars not that the store is bad its great but theres one employee there in particular sweet old woman makes the trip worth it every time

I just want to say that I had the best experience leaving this locations curbside pickup! The gentleman who is working this morning was amazing and overly kind and professional, he deserves recognition and a raise !! 🙃

Ive said it before and Ill say it again this place has got EVERYTHING!!! I love me some good old Walmart I just hate their hours arent 24 hours no more so I cant go looking for the things that I need at 2:33 in the morning

I perched some tiers and an installation online and made an appointment. The next day I unfortunately missed my appointment (that is my fault) I tried calling to let the automotive center know if either I would be late or to reschedule , no one ever picked up. I couldn’t find the page online to reschedule so later that day I went in person and made an appointment for the next day (that one star is for Patricia only she was nice and she felt like the only one paying attention to my situation)When I showed up the next day ,they couldn’t seen to find the tiers I bought in the system ( I had a screen shot of an email receipt and order number )although the tiers were physically in the store , so the men in auto motive sent me to customer service to try to refund my online order and run my purchase through the system again .While at customer service things seemed chaotic (as usual for customer service) however there was only 1 or 2 people actually helping customers and a group of employees more conversating in a group rather then help the growing line. one of who may have been a manager or shift leader because she eventually talked with me about my situation , they could not help me with my return, they tolled me to call 1800-Walmart and they could help me.I did call Walmart online and the woman was very helpful and canceled and refunded my online perches , unfortunately it’ll be 5 business days for the refund to reach my account (thats normal ) but now I don’t have enough money in my account to pay for the tiers, they were putting on my car, I found an ATM and withdrew money from my savings and got my tiers paid for.This was a very stressful run around , no one I spoke with seemed to know how to help me and I don’t blame them for that , but save yourself the time and stress go someplace else

I couldnt find 3 items, nobody available to ask. Only 2 checkers on Sunday with long lines; Even self checkout backed up. Why arent there more checkers on the weekend?? Also, Walmart says they require masks, but only about 40% of the people I saw had one on, so not sure I want to go back into that store during Covid spikes. Not safe for workers or patrons.

Here on 04/02/2021 1250 p.m. at the shop pulled up cuz I had a flat tire has stopped silent road put my donut tire on to draw four miles to get here and one of the tech and stop manager so theyre not doing any kind of tire work because theres only three of them here and ask both of them if they can fix the tire and Ill put it back on myself and they said the only kind of work theyre doing today is oil changes thats it. Theres some lady pulls up with a flat tire and I spend about 15 to 20 minutes take her flat off and put a spare on and I hadnt had a car and theyre doing oil change the last 30 minutes now Im going to have to drive another 4 MI only donut tire to another Walmart to get my tire fixed because all they want to do here is stand around and do nothing including the shop manager but when you call them and ask if theyre doing tire work today they say yes they are

Love it here its just this one security person who says something about people stealing every time i walk in. I dont know if shes referring to me. I dont steal so i try not to let it phase me. Other than that its nicely staffed and clean. Products are usually easily found

This Walmart is nice, any Walmart can have good or bad days when you visit. Mostly I have had nothing but good service and I am able to find most things I need. Its clean and I appreciate how they make sure mask are worn!!
