They proved to me why they are called honesty. My estimate was $500.00+ I told them to go ahead and do the repairs. When I showed up to get my car they charged me 300 and something. I said there must be a mistake its supposed to be over 500. Come to find out the part he quoted me in my estimate was either different or cheaper than the one I was quoted. He could have charged me the agreed amount and I would have ever known because of that this will be the only shop I use from hear on out. Thanks

Ive been going here for 10years, always great service and I always recommended them.UNTIL THIS VISIT! Took my truck in last week for the ac blowing warm. 73.01 to check and advise what needs to be done. Called later in the day and said I needed to Schrader valves and an ac recharge. 320.00. They didnt get the parts in and I had to wait until today to get it finished. When I went to pick it up they said it was blowing cold and ready to go. Got inside and nothing but hot air. The owner said the pressure was good and didnt know why but had the tech check it. Came back that it all leaked out the compressor, so I needed a compressor. So the 73.01 to diagnose it turned into 320.00 to tell me the compressor was bad. If the freon leaked out of the compressor within the hour after charging it I believe that should have been noticed prior. For 10 years I recommended Javier and his place. I dont know if its new techs or what but a 320.00 charge and 2 days to tell me the compressor is bad i think that should have been found out from the get go. After 10 years ill be looking for another repair shop.

There is no other place that we will take our cars. We know that we will get high quality work at a good price and that we will never be sold or told that we need repairs that are not needed. Javier is a good man that puts the Honesty in automotive.

Went in for a diagnostic for an engine code. They found a loose spark plug and tightened it up, rechecked and couldnt get code to return. They offer smog services as well which was great because thats what I needed done also. Will definitely return for the next repair in the next couple weeks

I had an older truck towed in to replace the inline fuel filter, get smogged, and some electrical work done. It had been sitting for a while, so I wasnt sure what else needed to be done. The owner was extremely honest, and had my truck in great running order without a lot of extra cost. He found my electrical problem and fixed it for very little cost. The total cost was more than fair, and the work was done well. Finding a good fair mechanic is tough, because you dont know what is really wrong when you take it in, and are at the mercy of the diagnosis. I have found the place I will always use, and feel very confident about his honesty and integrity. I would highly recommend this shop to anyone. It is a great mechanic shop, and great people who work there.

After using Honesty Automotive for 10 + years now ! I thank its time for me to review. As far as i am concerned Honesty Auto is by far the best auto repair shop around. Inside the office is always filled with a positive attitude & great explanation of what is going on with your vehicle. The Guys in the shop are sharp on diagnostics and repair. I have thrown them problems with the 30 vehicles i manage at the work place and the techs know how to make the repairs in a timely manner. They have kept my fleet of construction trucks for many years now. And most of the personal vehicles of our team in the work place. We all give Honesty a 5 star rating !

Im a single mother of two teenagers and I always know I can trust Javier to fix my car (2004 Chevy Tahoe) and not get swindled. As a female who doesnt know much about autos I have been told by other places (in the past) that my Tahoe needed things done to the engine that were not necessary. My Tahoe still runs great and I just passed over 110,000 miles. Javier is always quick to get me in to the shop within a day or two, hes super friendly, has fantastic mechanics working for him, but most of all, Javier Gadea is honest. The name of his business truly fits his personality and his automotive mechanical work. New car, or older car, Javier is the man to trust and get the job done without having to take out a small loan to pay for it.Once again, during the first week of January 2015, Javier came through for me with flying colors! I had to have my car towed in to Honesty Automotive at 12:00 noon (Javier gave me the name of a trustworthy tow company), Javier fixed it up and it was drivable by 7:00 that night and totally inexpensive for having to have been towed. I cannot boast enough about how Honest, Good, & Quick Javier and Honesty Automotive have been to me.

Mixed emotions about this place. Javier is a nice guy, but after spending almost 3K on brakes, rotors, struts, fluid and belt changes and more, things went bad very quickly. Upon pickup, I discovered that someone in the shop disassembled the center console and left it that way. I almost cut my arm on the exposed bracket and nobody really apologized or took responsibility. No reason for anybody to be in the console that I could think of. The brakes squeaked from day one and they never squeaked before. Finally after 800 miles and less than a month later the transmission failed completely. Again, there were no transmission problems beforehand and they supposedly flushed the transmission, maybe that was the problem. I went here based on reviews and customer recommendations, but would not return. FYI - 2003 Acura TL-S with 138K, turned into a donation vehicle. Dealer serviced at 30, 60, 90K.

I will not use another auto shop, these guys are by far the most personable, professional, and reliable in the business. Just call and set an appointment, and they will get the work done for you.Very happy with these guys.

We have been using Honesty Automotive for about 6 years now...family, friends and co-workers now take their autos there too. Javier is honest and trustworthy. My son inlaw took his really old honda in and Javier advised him not to fix it as the cars worth wasnt worth the repairs. ..he then took it to another mechanic who wanted to charge him over three thousand dollars to repair it...I can honestly say he is a great guy and mechanic!

I take my car there on a regular basis. After the shop that I used to closed down I felt very lost regarding the future repairs and maintenance of my vehicles. Javier is very friendly and always seems straight forward on what needs to be done, and what can wait. Whenever there is a delay or unexpected issue I always receive a phone call explaining the situation, options, and costs. This was the first shop that I visited once my last shop closed, and I havent gone anywhere else since. I cant recommend this place enough.

First and foremost the only reason I gave this a 4 star instead of a 5 star is due to the lack experiences/ business with this facility. In the 7 yrs I had my car (the one serviced by Honesty) Ive taken it to them a total of 3 times and the first time was at their old location about 7 years ago for a simple help that other places was going to charge me $$ and Honesty did it in 2 minutes for free, so my car has been good to me.with that said, the 2nd trip was a result of another company (that specialized in my make) told me they would not work on my car model because it was too difficult. I looked around and decided to go to Honesty due to the 1st experience and Javier was straight forward and honest with me. He did all the checks and since there was no engine codes he couldnt give me an accurate diagnosis. he told me he could do a few things to the car to figure it out or I could simply drive until the issue comes back or a check engine comes on and then bring it back. I opted to take my chances with out any major service other than the already agreed service but the honesty was well apreciated.the most recent time I again just wanted to see if there was another company that could/ would work on my same car since I couldnt figure out what was the issue plus it was making a wired noise I nor other mechanics could recognize. One shop told me he has a mechanic that could take a crack at it. I wasnt about to let someone who is supposed to be ASE cert. take a crack at it on my car plus the owner of the shop told me it could be a week before his mechanic would be able to get to it. so I went back to Honesty, told Javier about the situation and what I needed done. Towed my car into Honesty the next morning, got a report of what they were going to do by the end of day 1, and by the afternoon of day 2 I got a phone call that my car was ready.other than the lack service history with Honesty everything they have presented and accomplished for me has been good enough for me to give it a 4 star. if given more service history like those of which ive experienced Honesty would earn a five. as stated by the 4 star, I liked it and would recommend their services.

This review is to respond to Jims (jj) review. I feel that is necessary to hear both sides of the story. First I dont get a satisfaction on damaging customers vehicles so I can pay for them or be yelled by them. I am a man of high integrity and respect in my community. Jim mentioned we did repairs on his vehicle ( which it is correct ) , as per the center console that he almost cut his arm, he mentioned to me in person his wife securing it , it was held by a rotted rubberband, that we did not take responsability or did not care when I even installed two missing screws. Why would we do that? the transmission failing after 800 mls, when I asked him if fluid level was ok of if it leaked out, he said no, If i would off have left it off without fluid the vehicle would off not move or happen right away, we cannot predict thing that it may happen in the future. When he called me, he never mentioned anything about brakes making noise, from his review it was the first time I heard about it. If someone have had problems even the warranty has expired I have taken care of it. I am very sorry that he did not experience what other of my customers say about me and my business, but I care about each person that comes through my doors.
