1 out of the 3 garage door openers that came with my new home started acting up. It no longer connects to Wi-Fi so it no longer connects with the OHD app. There are 2 solid red LEDs that show that the Wi-Fi module in the garage door opener has failed. 3 techs from this location have come over to replace the Wi-Fi module and my problem has not been resolved.First tech came in and had an incorrect part. He was given the wireless remote board which connects the switch, sensors and wireless remotes. His suggestion was to replace the garage door opener completely since he didnt know if they had the part in stock. So I called again to set up an appointment.Second tech came in and also had the incorrect board. He was given the same wireless remote board and also suggested the entire garage door unit be replaced to not be playing the parts game. He said he would put replacement unit needed in his service ticket so the next tech could change it out completely. So I called again to set up an appointment.Third tech came in today and said he had the right part. Even though I mentioned to him thats what the last 2 techs said. He was adamant and proceeded with the repair. He said everything was good to go and went on his way. I got to testing the unit and at first sight everything looked good. No solid red LEDs from the Wi-Fi module anywhere. He did however reprogram the remotes which was odd but I gave him the benefit of the doubt. I get to testing the Wi-Fi module and nothing happens, no beeps or blinking lights. I take apart the cover and the tech seems to have purposely disconnected the harness to the Wi-Fi module so no LEDs would remain on. I dont like being lied to and this type of service is not good business.I have been told multiple times that one thing will be done and an entire different thing happens. Why cant the unit be replaced and get this whole ordeal over with?This is a warranty claim and this has been a horrible experience.

I Had my service visit set up to replace a broken spring in my garage. The window I was given was Monday 11am-1pm. Called the company at 12:53pm to find out if my technician was in route and was told he was leaving Denton in 10 minutes. Called back at 2:03pm when I hadn’t heard from anyone and was told he was stuck in a garage and didn’t have his cell phone on him.We’re all busy and I fully understand that. However, there was no effort to fix the problem. While on hold I set up service with another company who had already responded with a text about service and and eta on when the technician would arrive.

Received residential garage door service. Service tech arrived when promised, work was completed efficiently and cleanly. Equipment sold is a good value for the money. Happy customer.

Truckers: Picked up load from Pensacola FL to Ft Worth delivery time was 7am. I made it to the drop at 6am its now 10:18 am and they still have over half of the truck to unload. Soooooo expect 6 to 8 hours for the unloading time.

Poor services rude people, they cannot follow simple instructions to give 1hr notice, they have a very unprofessional dumb technician R seda Gonzalezs very immature and incompetent i wouldnt recommend them for anything. I hope any future properties we buy i will not find one of their garage doors.

Needed a new door installed and they came recommended. Tech came out and within a couple hours, we were all set. New Door, opener adjusted all in perfect working order. Great Work all around.

My technician Carter is outstanding!! He wore a mask the entire time and respected social distancing. He was very respectful and he listened. He assessed the problem and clearly explained the solution. While he was here he also took care of a few minor tweaks to the system. A part had to be ordered and he was in constant communication. He arrived on-time and during the repair he found a faulty part and took care of it at no charge. This is the best customer service, Ive had in some time.

As fate would have it the spring on our garage door busted on a Friday afternoon. I was out of town so I called a friend and asked who he would recommend and without hesitation he said Overhead Door in Fort Worth. I called them and shared I was out of town but needed to have it repaired. They had a backlog of jobs due to covid and it would be Monday around noon before they could arrive. I was provided with a time window of arrival. On the day of the job they called and asked if they could show up an hour early much to our delight. They ended up replacing both springs on the door and performed maintenance on the rollers. Every request I had they did with excellence. I highly recommend them as I couldnt be happier! From start to finish excellence achieved. Thank you!

Were still waiting to hear back from Overhead Door Company but this is what they left us with yesterday. Initially, two pieces of the door were damaged in shipping so they installed two temporary pieces with the parts that were fine. Yesterday, they came out and replaced those two pieces. The new parts of the garage door dont match the existing window placement, the top row of windows are completely missing, and they didnt install the motor to open the garage. Once this gets fixed, Ill be happy to update this review.UPDATE: 7/8/2018After three tries over two months, we finally have a working door with aligned windows. The motor is very quiet and the door can be controlled with your phone. Its beautiful and functional. Love it. But, once again, its damaged. Not sure if this is a problem with manufacturing or during delivery. This is an almost exact impression (or crease) that caused the original panels to be returned. The bottom panel also has a dent but I did not take a photo yet.Overall, I love the garage door but its been a disappointing experience. Im most likely going to keep the damaged door because Im tired of dealing with this.UPDATE: 8/22/2108Perry, Thank you for reaching out. I had (2) garage doors at my place in need of repair and reset the opener so that it would close properly.The tech Julian came out and repaired them after being quoted 523.00 for both doors.I thought it was on the expensive side, but I reluctantly approved the work.When I paid him 500 cash , after I asked him if he could do the job for 500, he said,” yea I can do that”.When I paid and asked about my receipt he stammered and said, “ receipts are generated from the office”. I received an invoice for 334.00 for said repairs. I received a text message asking if the amount was correct in the invoice. When I replied No, someone contacted me who identified as a manager there, and said I was overcharged 166.00. He then said, “ you will have a check within two weeks for your overpayment. This was November 13th, and I have been contacting this place for the past two days.The first call I made a receptionist who answered, when I explained who I was and my reason for calling very rudely says” that manager no longer works here and All the managers are in a meeting.I asked to have someone call me back...never happened. I called late Monday and spoke with a manager ( he claimed) by the name of David Garcia, and he apologized and assured me I would have a check in the mail today, and he would call me first thing this morning,( Tuesday) and I never received a call from him. Today a guy by the name of Tyson called and proceeds to tell me they work with an “ outside accounting firm” and he was waiting on a check. I just called and after being put on hold when some guy answered I hear someone in the background yelling” it’s that Mike Hollie guy”!!I’m not going to let anyone deliberately take my money and the tech Julian used his personal bank card,paid the 334.00 to the company and pocketed the rest. And as of today , he’s still working for this company. I’m very apprehensive about giving out credit cards , or my bank card to repair guys, hence the reason I pay cash.But the integrity of this place is non-existent and I’m not going away without getting my money.Please research your repair companies and I would not recommend Anyone to do business with this Sham of a company. I called every garage door repair shop in Fort Worth to fix a broken spring. NONE of them would give me a specific price. Some would give me a huge range; one of them told me I should Google it to get a price. One of them wanted $72 just to visit my house to TALK about fixing the spring.Overhead Door gave me the cost on the phone and stuck to it. The repair guy was great and price was very reasonable. Door is fixed.I highly recommend these folks.

Got a next day appointment with Ft. Worth Overhead Door when I called. The technician - Ray - called to let me know he was coming, and was flexible when I requested a slightly later appointment time. When he did show up (on time), he was solution-oriented and very helpful, willing to do whatever it took to fix my issue on a unit most would’ve tried to upsell/replace due to age. He was very concerned about my satisfaction and did a great job!

The circuit board of my Genie garage door opener was broken due to power outage. I contacted Overhead Door Company of Fort Worth. They sent a technician and installed a new board. When the power cable was plugged back in, it tripped the power breaker. The technician could not figure out what was going wrong. Next day they sent in an experienced technician and he found the 3-pin connection wire for the original circuit board was used, which is incompatible with the new board. After changing the 3-pin wire, everything worked as it should. Overall I was happy with service. The manager Tim is very helpful.

Recently had a 5 year old spring break. Technician said that was about all it was good for. The replacement was very very expensive in comparison to the entire new door. Felt taken advantage of. Next time will shop pricing before calling Overhead Door.

This company installed our outside fire place and the inside fireplace in our home we had built. 5 years ago. Within just a few months of moving in, they had to be called out to do repairs on both fireplaces because they stopped working. (not a huge deal because it was still under warranty with the homebuilder, so we weren’t out any repair money)They repaired it and less than a year later they stopped working again! We went two years without having a fireplace in the cold weather.Called them out last year to repair the inside fireplace, they came out to do another repair. We asked them about a warranty and they said all they do is give a warranty for 30 days. Really? I pay 200 something dollars for you to repair my fireplace and you are only going to guarantee your work for 30 days.AGAIN, less than a year later fireplace does not work! I called to schedule someone to come out and they say they are slammed and will not be able to get to me for a week.BEYOND FRUSTRATED!*On a sidenote, they also put in our garage doors, of which we’ve had issues with ever since we moved in.

Do you have kids at home? DO NOT CALL THESE GUYS! Call anyone else. They’re less than helpful, do not maintain professionalism, and behave in an unacceptable manner. If you call them out on inappropriate behavior they get defensive, rude, and act even worse. Is this not their profession? Shouldn’t I be able to expect professionalism?Plus, they over charge. I was able to purchase 2 torsion springs (Home Depot), new bearings, and new cables(Amazon) for the same price that they try and sell 1 spring for. I installed all of it and lubed my whole system in 4hr using YouTube videos for guidance. Almost anyone can do the same job, that they charge hundreds of dollars for, in an afternoon using YouTube.Please save yourself, and your family, the mistake that my wife and I made. There is no corporate support, at all, to hold this “branch” accountable. They do as they please and you’ll just pay for it because you’re the consumer and once they have your money… you have no power. #Noreturns PERIOD.

They installed my garage door almost 16 years ago and did an excellent job. I called to have the door serviced years later and the guy that serviced it taught me how to do it myself. I recently had some work done on the garage but the wrong people were called out we called a different company. The people that came out we didnt trust like we trusted overhead doors. We did let them do the work and today I ask George at overhead doors if they did a good job . George told me they had done a good job except for putting the wrong screws in. Other than that he said they did good work. I ask George how much they wouldve charged to do the same work that The other company did and he told me the price which was nearly half of what the other company charged. My spring broke last night I couldnt get my door my door open so we couldnt get our cars out of the garage this morning. I called and George called me back last night and idecided that he would come today instead of last night. George called me this morning as promised and told me that he would be here in about 30 minutes and he showed up when he was supposed to. He came in he looked at the job what happened was my big Spring had broken and he replaced it did the job took care of the screws that the last company messed up. George did a good job. I trusted him with with everything. I asked George if I needed a new door and he told me that I did not because the one I had still had a lot a good life in it. Some people would not have told me that. So today overhead door did not sell another door but theyve got a customer for life I appreciate them very much appreciate George very much. The only thing negative that I want to add is that the lady that answered the phone when I called last night could use a little bit of phone manner training and customer service basics but she did what she needed to do . Im a truck driver for a garage door manufacturer. I delivered here today, and asked to use the restroom. I have irritable bowel syndrome, and while I was was there I went up to use the restroom two more times. Both times I went into the office the door was locked, and the lights were off. I had to go pretty badly. Someone in management started following me around every time I went to the now Locked bathroom. Through the office, and back to my truck. I walked up the road to see if there was a Porto John, convenience store, or something. The same guy watched me walk up the street. When I turned around he was peeking around the corner.Some people have medical issues. It doesnt mean they are a thief !!!Thanks for locking the bathroom.This is how they treat their suppliers. Cant imagine how they treat their customers. No wonder the first review that comes up is negative.Thanks for your understanding and compassion.

Gave it a one (1) for customer service d/t not being able to give (0) zero. The lady that answered the phone was nice enough, but it was going to cost me $50 just to talk to a tech, because it would be considered an emergency. I just want to speak to someone.Customer service should be #1 in my opinion. If I would have been helped, I would probably stay with Overhead Door Company, but I will replace it myself and not have to deal with a company that obviously does not want or need my business.It is probably a programming issue, but this company does not care, its all about the money. There are lots of other companies to choose from, so I will make sure that I find one that has good customer service.

Not Problem Solvers. my HVAC guy figured out the problem after they failed. it was a fuse! They have been out twice in 3 years. the first time they weld the bracket for my gate. easy to fix, because it was easy to see. just two months ago my gate quite working so I bought new batteries. it worked for about 6 weeks, so I knew the something was wrong. solar panel, circuit board, etc. they came out and said the battery is dead and tested it will a voltage meter. I said know that, but why didnt it go dead so quick. he said it could be a lot of issues and that would stop by in a day or two to check. . . never did. so that is when my HVAC guy test a voltage at a multitude of spots and found the broken fuse. I replaced it myself.

I called this business and was told they could install my garage door opener the next day. I was told I would be made a priority and be top of the list because of my work schedule. Next morning no one comes by 10 am, no one at 10:30 am. So I call the company.The recptionist passes me to some one else. And they in turn tell me someone will call. I get a call about 5 minutes later stating the tech would call me in twenty minutes. 30 minutes go by and no phone call. I call the company again and get passed to someone else that the phone just rings and rings and finally an answering machine. I call back again and get hung up on. I call again and a lady answers and passes me on to someone else that wont answer the phone. I finally dig around in my phone to find the number of the person that said the tech would call me. A lady answers and I tell her to just cancel the order. She asks my name and address and doesnt ask why I am canceling nor does she care why I am canceling. I called a place in Midlothian, TX that is owned and operated by a home town person. He gave me a price, said he would have to order it cause he was so busy he was low on stock. This compnay is a joke and a scam. I would NEVER use them and NEVER recommend them. Unprofessional customer service but professional liars. BEWARE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
