Freezer and meat stock rotates frequently. Good source of frozen plant-based meat on markdown. Ive been there twice about one month apart. Dry grocery goods seemed the same both times, alot of variety though. Expect markdowns of about 1/3 to 1/2 retail price. I was pleased with some small batch craft sodas I got for 50 cents. Good spice selection/vinegars. Lots of low sugar energy drinks.

I love the store really. But my pet peeves about it is when you have a rush of people trying to check out open more lanes & dont close any. Today Im here getting some groceries now waiting to checkout with only 4 lanes open. But love the store. This is a picture from the Saturday market

This place is a Ft Worth institution. I remember shopping when the store was located on Henderson Street south of the West Freeway before it was enlarged in the 80s.The store isnt as bright and shiny as most modern grocery stores. But it is clean enough. Youll never know what youll find there. My advice for shopping there? Know your current retail prices. And mind the expiration dates. Most stuff is OK past its expiration date if the package looks right. Some of their stuff youll find across town for lot more, like breakfast cereal and gourmet cheeses. Look and youll possibly find treasures.Heres a little known fact. Some ma-and-pa restaurants shop there. That days chefs special may have originated from there. Thats OK. Small restaurants most always serve very good to outstanding meals.

If you can battle the foot traffic you can walk away with amazing deals and food. I bought loose produce along with yogurts and salads. Im mind-blown by the size of the produce. Everything I bought was under $2! The entire Simply Fresh Salad boxes were $1. My total spent was $13.

I get excited every time I visit the store. You never know what you will find but at a great price. Thank you for being a great place to shop and helping those more unfortunate families out there. Also every cashier I have been helped by in this place have been fantastic. Great customer service!.

What a strange and wonderful place. I mean seriously - check the expiration dates of ANYTHING you buy but wow there are so many hidden treasures. If youre over 30 and lived a varied life, you will have flash backs. Sadly, I accidentally deleted the 3 images I took. The tamales we picked up were amazing. The fridge section has a huge selection. The frozen section is where you really want to be - we stocked our new freezer. If you are planning a party that day: go here. If you are suddenly tasked with running a food booth at a festival - GO HERE. Admittedly, half the items I bought, I realized were expired by a year (deducting half a point for that because I should have checked) and it was obvious some stuff was - ahem - missing from a truck like $1 will you get a sleeve of Burger King drink cups med size (deducting another half of a point), this is the place to go when you need to handle a horde TODAY.

Cheese and non-alcoholic beverages were a great price and they had a huge selection! They have a truck that comes pretty often Ive heard, so keep checking back for discounted grocery items. Saturday they had a Famers Market as well.

Off the chain!!!!!! The cashier was the best! Very helpful and a delight! Will be back this weekend for more of that Turkey sausage and. Veggie deals!

Discount grocery overload! Check the dates but for the most part, everything was fresh enough. Impressive selection, even had motor oil! Worth it for the novelty but could definitely be a regular spot for dry goods

I love town talk cheap prices for lots of food but check the expiration dates

You cant beat the prices..but sometimes some of the produce is too over ripe..to rotten. Some packaged food you try might be too expored and be slightly stale. Yet I still recommend because you can get many healthy foods and organic brands at very low prices. The staff is also very nice.

It is a great place for cheap food. Yes, it is kinda like a goodwill for food and other items. There is stuff that is going bad soon, but that is what this store is for. To sell what others have deemed not good anymore even if still in date. They have a farmers market every Saturday. And have spices in every size! I go here for spices the most.

To start off, I am a transmasculine individual and am just starting getting comfortable with myself and dressing and presenting the way i want. I have been to this location a few times and had never had any problems. They always have really great products for really great prices. Normally I shop with my mom, but today i decided to go by myself. I have a lot of anxiety so this was very nerve racking. I went and did all my shopping and got a ton of amazing finds, when I went to check out, I chose the line of a cashier that Ive been through once before . The last time I was with my mom and was nervous because I was still using my old pronouns and name. So I didnt really talk a lot even though he was trying to start a conversation. Today because I was by myself and yesterday was my birthday I was feeling really confident and out of my shell. I walked up to his lane (I cant remember his name but I think it was David or Daniel. Hes very talkative and has lots of tattoos and is always pretty smiley.) and right as i walked up, even though it wasnt my turn yet, he immediately complimented my shirt, which for me is a big deal because its new and I feel really confident and comfortable in. So him noticing and liking it really boosted my self esteem. Then he started asking me questions once it was my turn and trying to get to know me. He asked me my name, and I froze because I had never told someone my chosen name before and I couldnt decide to say my birth name or chosen. I was feeling great and decided to share my chosen name. He then told me his name (I feel so bad for forgetting but I was so nervous) and gave me a fistbump. The whole time we talked he was very neutral when speaking to me. This is Texas, so everyone calls me maam. He didnt not once. It was a huge deal for me and made me feel really good about myself. And the whole time he was talking he was just super nice and had a lot of cool things to share as well. Want to say thank you to him for making me feel comfortable while shopping and thank you to the company for hiring him. I for sure recommend shopping here and going through his line. Will continue to shop here forever!

I spent $120 for amazing, healthy foods that would have cost me at least three times that amount in any other grocery store. We left with things like Seiten, Coconut Curry Hummus, all sorts if vegan patties and ice creams, coffees, produce, Indian spices and boxed meals, and much more! Averaged out, we spent less than $1.50 for everything you see below. This place is the best!

Ive always loved this store, but I havent shopped there in a while and was terribly disappointed on Monday, March 22, 2021. People, keep a close eye on what youre being charged, because the female employee overcharged me at least by 60 cents. I only bought a few items. And I added up my total before checking out. I wasnt paying attention until I was leaving, that she charged me higher than what was supposed to be. Of course, it would be HIGHER. I notice that they changed the receipt so that customers cannot determine what item is being charged what. Trickery. I believe its done that way so that more rip offs can be done to customers. I specifically bought a marked down, with a price slash thru it. Well...on my receipt is NOTHING to indicate any food purchase with a half price such as they used to have on the receipt. Also, what happened to the double the 59 cent items and get it for the whole buck that this store used to do? I was charged the whole 59 cent now. Thats not how this store used to operate. This store needs to train their employees/checkers how to do fair check out pricing or else I wont be returning. Ive been shopping at this store since 1989, and never much encountered the checker to overprice such as this and not pay attention to the half off slashed items. Ill not be returning much anymore.

Came to visit parents but heard from a friend. Bought veggies, can, dry goods. Wished I could of taking frozen meat but couldnt. When arrived the entry is a slop like it was a previous loading warehouse. Inside is what you can expect a warehouse. You can find good deals. But if you like me always look at expirations. This store is pretty good most of the stuff is still good Im mean not outdated yet and at a reasonable price alot of items are no longer good so you have to pay attention when your are shopping lots of cool unique items that youd have to find in many different stores careful with the cases of sodas some I have bought 2 and both were not carbonated anymore. It is more expensive than it used to be but you can get some really good deals on gourmet food and especially things like olive oil. If you know your high-end, organic or gourmet brands, you can find some real deals. However, you have to check the expiration dates. You can also get a case of yogurt and even plant-based yogurt for $2. It may be expired but thats what yogurt is. Its expired milk. They even have Beyond burger meat but I wouldnt mess with regular animal meats there.

Ive been going here since I was a kid. My favorite thing (besides the prices) is that I get to try foods or products I wouldnt have been able to before. Anyone can find something here that theyd love. And if you dont, just go back next week, the product selection always changes.

My hubby and I love Town Talk Foods. It can be chaotic if you go on Saturday morning, but the deals are totally worth it. While sell by and best by dates mean nothing, be a little cautious on things like chips and crackers. They get stale after a point. That being said, if you try something and dont like it, you can return the unused portion for a refund within 7 days. The savings totally outweigh any stale chips we have run into. Its also a great way to try new things since they are marked down so much. Yogurt and produce is always a GREAT deal as are meats and cheeses. :)

Most everything I looked at was expired and the smell inside the store was horrible. I walked in and did not see one thing I would buy.

Be careful. They over price some items. And most items are expired.
