Where to begin?? Oh I know... at the fact that as a HUGE comic fan I have yet to find the Shuri comics at any of my local comic book stores... until The Dock Bookshop that is! Which I would like to point out I almost missed because I spent a good hour just in the section on plant based cooking 🤦🏾‍♀️😊. Also I would again like to express my sincere gratitude to the owners for allowing me to pull up a chair and just start browsing and reading. I think I was there so long they honestly forgot about me 🤣🤣🤣❤️❤️❤️❤️💜💜💜💜

What an amazing book shop dedicated to real culture... I visited on a Sunday which allowed me to try their Vegan food brought in and cooked by Compatible Delights. I bought a nice book bag and my son purchased a book... we will be back, the environment was welcoming.

Loved the vibe, Loved the people. We purchased some fantastic literature for our little-one. Plan to visit this location for additional literature!

Ordered online and the book was packaged very securly and was in perfect condition unlike when I order from Amazon and get a book with a beat up cover and crumpled pages! I highly recommend to anyone who actually cares about books, Ill definitely be ordering from them again.

This weekend and today (Dec. 22, 2019, last day) was an event for pictures with Black Santa, and soo many people showed up to celebrate and have their kiddos and family take pictures! Nice place, wide array of selections. Power was out while we were there but they were still able to complete purchase transactions. Most of the room smelled of incense; that was a bit overwhelming. We got what we came for and now have a new option if we want to drive to that side of town.

This bookshop in nationally known! The owners are open and friendly and BEAUTIFUL SOULS! My first visit there they were having a fillUp the bag special. Buy a $5 bag and fill as many books that will fit! They have a variety of EVERYTHING! Tons of vinyl records, Wall to wall books! Writing journals, greeting cards, sage, natural handmade Shea butters, oils, jewelry, hair care products! No Floride toothpaste! Coffee mugs, apparel, bookbags, purses, bags galore! They even have poetry night, book clubs and so much more as they serve as a resource center to the community! Dont sleep on THE DOCK BOOKSHOP! JOIN Their Book club for specials! My daughters (all of us who have kids) need businesses like this in every community to instill knowledge and experiences they wont get else where! Go see for yourself and thank me later! Many books & clothing options. The owners have great customer service and greet you with a Smile. They also have soaps, jewelry, and other items you can shop for. I always purchase their Nubian Heritage bar soaps. You can find Nubian Heritage products other places but I love to purchase mines from the Dock Bookshop so I can support their business when Im in the area. The soap is therapeutic and leaves my skin cleansed, moisturized, & irresistibly soft. The one I purchased today was the olive oil & green tea

The Dock Bookshop is a wonderland for anyone who loves books, comics, manga, or other literature. The selection is amazing as are the wonderful staff. I have a great time every time I come in to shop and always find something for myself as well as gifts for my family. This is my holiday shopping spot!

Ordered 2 books, one was sold out and backordered. 1st book came quickly and got my 2nd book today, not too long after ordered. I also love that audio books are available, have ordered 1 and will order more. I look forward to taking a trip to visit in person one day!

I ordered two books from this place, and paid $10 for two day shipping. Yeah, its been 6 days so far, and they still havent shipped...Update: the mailman put them in a strange place so I didnt see it, and the website was never updated so I didnt know it was there. Im so sorry 😂

This the most friendliest, community-driven independent bookstore Ive encountered! Family-owned and operated, one is greeted instantly every time you visit the store and you can enjoy book clubs, spoken word, author signing, and festivals organized by the store. You have to visit this store!

I love the family oriented atmosphere in this place. From the time you first walk in the door you feel welcome. They have a lot of events that take place here and also a womens book club as well as mens book club. One of my favorites.

Very nice and friendly staff. Always helpful. They have been in the community for quite some time and not only are they knowledgeable about the products that they carry but also the community that they serve. Which is very helpful when you are new to the area. You will find books here that you cannot find anywhere else in the Fort Worth area.

I’m honestly not sure what happened, but I am throughly disappointed with this store and the lack of any form of customer service. I pre-ordered two books online on May 4, 2020; one was released last Tuesday, May 19, and the other is not supposed to be released until August 4. While I know a pre-ordered novel has to be shipped to the location itself, I have yet to receive any sort of information on my order and it’s status. I reached out via email last Friday asking about the status and if their was any way to track the order and received no email back. I reached out via Facebook messenger about the status of my order released last Tuesday and to cancel the other order to be released on August 4, and have received no message back other than a message that read: “Thanks for messaging us. Well get back to you as soon as we can.“, which is ironic considering I sent the Facebook message on May 23 and whoever runs the page has posted FIVE times since I sent the original message. Additionally, I reached out via Instagram DM on Saturday and have received no message back. I also called AND left a voicemail the same day and nobody called me back. Needless to say, I have informed my bank and disputed the charges and the bank gave me my $60.60 back that I paid to this store that appears to care little about their customers and much more about income. I will no longer need those books from this store, so, to the seller, if you ever actually read this, if they come in, please do not contact me as I would’ve cancelled the orders had you ever actually gotten back to me and I’ve already gotten my money back.

Books, books, and more books. I enjoyed this place they have a lot of books but also sell Nik Naks for skin, hair, and beautifying. I purchased several perfumed oils, soaps, and two African dashekes. I am very pleased with my purchases and will be returning here again to do more business with this establishment. The owners are very polite and are very knowledgeable about all sorts of things. Go try them I promise you will enjoy the atmosphere and they also have programs and host things to do for adults such as poetry nights and other misc things.
