PLEASE READ SO YOU DO NOT PICK THIS COMPANY! I recently had my car shipped from New York to Texas and unfortunately I was in a hurry and looking for a service that could happen in 24-48 hours. After calling multiple companies I found Car Shipping America, I spoke with Taylor throughout the whole process and after the initial phone call which was late at night, he said the car could be picked up the following afternoon, which was great however come the following afternoon I called Taylor and he told me the car would not be picked up that day but the following morning. I completely understood and was fine with that arrangement. He said he’d give me a call between 8 & 9 am, that never happened. At about noon I gave them a call to follow up time of pick up and was told the driver did not sign off on the pick up so it would be the following afternoon but Taylor would give me a call back in 15 minutes to confirm.. he never did. The following day comes I get a call from the driver, Jay, and said it would not be until the following day that he would be picking the car up. Originally when speaking to Taylor I asked if any paperwork had to be signed, anything I should have prepared for pickup to which he responded, “no, someone just has to be home to give the keys to the driver” I assured him a family member would be home. Three days after the initial reservation Jay calls me to tell me he was at my house to pick up the car, he tells me it would be an additional $100 on top of the original agreed amount with Car Shipping America because I had a bag of clothes and two backpacks in the back seat. I told him I had to call Taylor because that was not discussed, he said no problem and strapped the car and headed off. When trying to get in touch with Taylor I was only able to speak with his colleague who understood the reason for my call, he discussed with me “the drivers tend to blow these out of proportion” and he would take care of it. I never heard back from the company and come the day of delivery, I was at work but had a trusted friend, and mechanic home for the delivery. The $100 came up in conversation and the “Jay” the driver immediately raised his voice and repeated “If I don’t get the (agreed amount, plus the $100) I will take this car right back to New York” After being told this by my friend I immediately made a call to the Car Shipping America where I was able to reach Taylor and started laughing at me because of my frustration with the company. Never heard back from them after, once again, was told I would be getting a call back in 10-15 minutes. Please, if you’re ever looking for a car transport service company, DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY, disgraceful and unprofessional company.
