I had heard about Import Doctors reputation so I took a Nissan 350Z with a mysterious undiagnosed issue. The Import Doctors quickly diagnosed and repaired the issue and offered an additional comprehensive inspection and servicing package that covered all major vehicle components and systems. Left with not only a repaired vehicle but with confidence that we were good to go! They know imports (no Euro models)! Most reasonable shop rate anywhere. Ask for Craig as service manager. He is great! VERY pleasurable experience. I would recommend Import Doctors to anyone.

Ive called here several times to schedule work for my car but the guy beats around the bush and talks about how complicated the work is going to be and says to bring the car in after it breaks. Ive heard good things about these guys but they keep adding $ to the diagnostics fee as I try to schedule. My best guess is that theyre really swamped and need to justify squeezing in overtime or something

Import doctors is great. I have a Suzuki and I am new to Fort Wayne. I am very careful who I allow to service my vehicle. It is foreign and is a 5 speed manual, that most people dont know how to drive! Import doctors gave me excellent advice and I appreciate their honesty and attention to detail. I would definitely recommend them to anyone who has a Suzuki and who needs service done by someone reputable and trustworthy. Another nice bonus is that they have overnight drop off so you can drop your car off after hours for service the next day. Thank you.

Very reasonable on pricing just long wait list to get in and I wish they could help with a loaner car for the day. I know some do some dont but when u only have 1 car n no family its nice to be able to drop off the car and use one from the machanic

Im so thankful for the team at Import Doctors—they were able to fit my car into their schedule on really short notice. They took care of all the maintenance issues I was having and also fixed the mistakes from the other repair place I took my car to. They were also very friendly and actually listened to my concerns and treated me with respect. Not taking my car anywhere else from now on.

Only work on Japanese vehicles

I have brought at least 5 cars to this shop over the past 14 years, and have NEVER had a bad experience. Shane and Dave are personable helpful, charge fair prices for excellent work. In fact we only purchase Japanese cars now, knowing that Import Doctors will take excellent care of our vehicles. I have recommended this shop to many of my colleagues, and have only heard positive feedback. Would not even consider going anywhere else for maintenance or repair of my vehicles.

I live 40 miles south of Fort Wayne. When one of my 3 Hondas need something other than a regular oil change the Import Doctors is where I go. Dave and Shane are very nice guys to work with. They are knowledgeable about my vehicles, they inform you of the problems they have run into and will give you a quote for repairs. They are not high pressure at all. Its entirely up to you what repairs are done. Resently took my 2002 Honda Civic there to locate a antifreeze leak. They found the leak and repaired it and completed other tests to make sure that was only location of leak. Will continue to use Import Doctors! Great place to do business!

I just wanted to say that my service from The Import Doctors was absolutely just wonderful. I luckily received a very reasonable price that would have been a fortune had I taken it to Kia. Originally I got two price quotes one from Kia & another from import doctors since I was on a budget & the price difference was tremendously lower. I’m glad I went with The Import Doctors.They were truly amazing. They were very nice & professional, specifically Shane & the owner. Shane is who took care of me mainly & the owner was also very polite. Shane is a real blessing. All together everything is working great. I would give them definitely 5 stars! I have come to the conclusion that I will have Shane be the one to fix any issues I may have in the future because my service & price was so fair & reasonable. Great experience over all.

I have been bringing my cars (from Warsaw) to Import Drs. for almost ten years. I have always found their service to efficient, friendly and professional. For me, the service I receive at Import Drs. is worth the drive.

Didnt fix the problem I brought it in for and tried to find 3k of other things that were not what I needed. Eventually agreed to reinvestigate and found the problem, but not until 3 calls later. Do not recommend.

Stay away from here. I brought my car in last year and the owner quoted me $600 for the repair. This was far outside my price range, but the owner got upset when I said I would do it myself. I did half the work the owner said I needed to do and my car ran just fine. This man is a liar and a cheat!

Had a diagnostic ran on my 2000 Forester. The service writer was very understanding of all the questions I had, both before and after the diagnostic. I was satisfied with the service and advice! I will be going back and recommending.

If you drive an Asian import, these are the guys to take it to. Like other reviews say, this place does great work at a fair price. They are up front with what service your vehicle needs, what needs to be done right away and what can wait. They take time to answer your questions as well. Definitely worth the visit and much more cost effective than dealerships.

Had my ‘07 Mitsubishi Outlander towed here after it wouldn’t start one morning and all my usual shops refused to work on a Mitz. They did a great job of diagnosing the problems and letting me know might cause problems soon. I felt I had options on what to get done now v later instead of everything at once. Once diagnosed, they finished everything in a day, I paid over the phone and was able to pick up after hours on my schedule. Overall, great experience. I would go back!

These guys do great work at a fair price. They tell you whats wrong with your vehicle, give you options with zero pressure. They even fixed a brake light and only charged me the part with no labor cost. Yeah, its not really hard to change a brake light, but it does tell me they actually do their inspections and go the extra mile for their customers.

Took my older cr-v in for some work. They called and advised of a few other things that needed attention. They were not pushy, just informative. Pricing was fair. Will be bringing my subaru in next.

Originally went to a different shop for a warranty issue was told i needed front breaks and roatars on top of everything.went to Import docs for a second opinion. qouted me a third less and said i still had about 25% left on them.. Means alot this days when every dollar counts. .... Thanks guys.

I had recently taken my 10 Subaru Forester to The Import Doctors to have some work done. I typically do my own automotive work & havent had to take any of my vehicles to another place in over 10 years.However, I was pretty sure that my Subaru had jumped timing, & after calling The Import Doctors inirially for some technical advice, I was afraid that there was some internal engine damage, based on what my car was doing.I was going to initiallyat least check the timing belt myself. After trying a few times to break the main pulley bolt loose a few times, and I was under a time crunch to get the car running again, I decided to let The Import Doctors mess with it. I also had NOT done any major engine work in almost 20 yrs!They had quoted me a price on a possible engine re-build. A few days later, they had the car done! Turns out, my timing belt just broke & wrapped itself up around the pulleys. I was informed that no engine damage had been done, the replaced the timing belt & a few other things, at a great price! Thank you Import Doctors. Its been a month now since Ive had my car back w/ no issues. Highly recomend for your Japanese import.

What seemed like a great price, turned into them repairing a non-broken part without diagnosis to the part. Then called me stating the other part was broken. Upon arriving to the shop, they conveniently did not have the initial part that was replaced without diagnosis. Seems legit.

I got a quote from Evans Toyota that I needed a new wheel liner total cost with parts and labor was $445. I called the Import Doctors to see if they could get me a better deal. They quoted me a price of $190. When I took the vehicle in to have it checked the owners informed me I didnt need a new liner, and stated if it was their vehicle they wouldnt replace it. They stated that I just needed new clips for the liner. They installed them and I was out of there in an hour (with vehicle inspection and repair). When I asked how much they said no charge as it was such a minor repair. I highly recommend giving them a call.

Run!.....If I could give them zero stars I would! I took my 07 lexus is there several times they kept telling me that it was the alternator and that they replaced the alternator and it was fixed. It lasted that night by the next Morning my car wouldnt start again. I brought it back I told them the alternator wasnt working they told me it was the battery I brought a new battery. Same thing happened my car lasted 1 night the next morning nothing. I reached put to the them again oh it must be the starter I got a new starter. THE SAME THING HAPPENED AGAIN! I reached out to them. There response was We think that there is a issue in the steering wheel column but we would have to take the entire dashboard apart in order to get to the issue. My reply Give me my car back!. I took my car to Volkswagen Volderman Automotive and they put the correct lexus alternator on my car. My car has been running like a dream ever since , and when I went back to Import Doctors to get my money back for the previous alternator that I purchased from them. The owner/manger refused.

After purchasing new tires for my wifes Toyota, I was somewhat disappointed after asking if a difference in the ride/handling could be felt and being told not really. I had the vehicle in for 200K mile service recently and my wife made it a point to mention that after their service, she could tell the difference in the ride and the car performed like it was new.

These guys have worked on our cars for many years. They do excellent work at an affordable price. If you drive an Asian import and are looking for an honest and fair repair shop, give them a call.

SCAM ALERT! I took my car in for headlights and thats it. Then they tried to upsell me $800 worth of service my car didnt need (because I had already done them) and now my car barely starts and idles to a stop. They told me theyd check my headlights if I brought it back and thats it. I still cant figure out what they did to sabotage it but Im calling my lawyer when I do.

I was a former employee and quit due to the owners crooked, unethical ways of running a reputable repair shop. Not only do they not perform said repairs, they make suggestions to repair items that are not needed, most of all, they charge $80 for fuel injection cleaning service which consists of pouring a $6 bottle of Techron fuel additive in the fuel tank! I could not be a part of that any longer. I will back my word up and speak with any one that would like to contact me.

I would not recommend this place at all. The customer service is terrible here, any questions I had regarding repairs that were needed or services that were not included and I thought were, were responded with sarcastic and belittling tones and I was made to feel plain stupid. Very overpriced, and I was charged for the air and cabin filters to be replaced, which were both new when I brought the car in. They clearly have no interest in communication or working with you in order to work on what is necessary instead of just racking up charges.

I had the clutch (and related parts) replaced on my 2008 Honda Fit. These guys did a great job, price was fair (beat dealer quote by more than half) and the job was performed faster than expected. I hope I dont have more car issues, but Ill go back here if I do.

Good service, fair prices

Dont ever take your car to this place. I took my Lexus in becuase it had a leak and they told me it is my power steering pump, they charged me 350 dollars to replace it and my car was still leaking after that. I took it back in and they told me my car is fine nothing is leaking, but i clearly knew it was still leaking becuase it was leaving a puddle in my garage. I took it in again a third time and this time they told me it was grease dripping from my CV joint. They replaced the wrong thing to begin with and never gave me my money back for it. They are a total rip off and The guy up front is extremely rude as well. Dont ever take your car to these people.

I would not recommend this shop. They are over priced and when I took my car to get the water pump fixed, I had to take it back 3 separate times for them to finally fix it. Customer service is by far the worst in town. Go anywhere but this place trust me you wont regret it!

I am also a former employee and totally disagree with mr hoshour as this was one of the best places I worked dealer or otherwise and the only reason I left was I had to leave the state for family reasons..the management was very fair with me and we did every thing that the customers wanted and nothing they didnt..its easy as a disgruntelted ex employee to vent on the web..but in this case it is just not true..

Called about a repair to my Toyota Rav4. They gave me an estimate (which was about $100 lower than the dealership!) Scheduled the appt. They not only took care of it for even LESS than their own estimate, they were able to take me in a little earlier than my appt.Id recommend these folks...and Ill be back with my own vehicle again.
