Recently purchased a used vehicle. Sales person was great to work with. Car had some issues that I wasnt aware of after I bought it. With some additional negotiation, I was able to get most of what needed fixed completed by the dealership. Service Department fixed issues in a timely and professional manner. I would recommend Tomkinson BMW and Robbie Moore (sales associate) for your next car purchase new or used.

Have a great Service Department and are very friendly. They are honest and upfront about what needs fixed and what can wait until a better time. Not to mention I love the popcorn machine and soda as I wait. :-)

Ive been coming here since we moved to Fort Wayne in 2004 and the service is great. They do a great job at pointing out what should be fixed or maintained but not pushy about it. Im able to keep my vehicle in good working order with a reasonable operating cost each year.

Tomkinson always provides professional & efficient service to my Chrysler T & C. I have stopped in the morning on the way to work to have air added to my tires when the warning light comes on, & they are very willing to take care of my van right away. And when I need an oil change, they get my van in at my convenience. The staff is great as well & the waiting room is very comfortable. As a matter of fact, I was in yesterday for an oil change & the waiting room was very cold because it was very windy & everytime someone opened the doors (which was quite often) the cold air rushed in. Mr. Tomkinson noticed right away & had his staff put a wall up to block the cold air which made a big difference. Now that is customer service!

My 2009 Jeep Liberty broke down late one evening and I had to park it and call for a ride home as it was after hours on a weekend. As soon as I got home I went online to the Tomkinson Autoland Service Center to make a service appointment for bright and early Monday morning. It was quick and easy to do.The next day I had my vehicle towed to the service center and dropped off my keys in their drop box. On Monday I received phone calls as well as online notifications explaining what they found and what work needed to be done. They also checked to see what services were covered in my warranty. They had my vehicle completed and in working order and I drove it home that afternoon...Thanks to Jason and the Tompkinson Autoland Service staff!

Dec. of 2011 my husband bought me a Jeep for Christmas. I love it! The Jeep came with a lifetime power train. I am very happy with my Jeep and the service I received at Tomkinsons. Also must add a friendly staff!

Unacceptable Service Department. Misled my Wife multiple times on final amount of bill with out explaining labor costs.Was not able to get oil change scheduled so went to another dealer. Now out LIFETIME Power Train warranty is Void... Because we skipped and oil change. Even though the oil change was done ON TIME and by a certified service center at Preferred Auto.

I had a really great experience with Greg Schaefer and the Tomkinson team. Now, I only bought a 2011 used Mazda 3, but I felt as thought I received the same attention as someone purchasing a much more expensive model. I did my homework on the Mazda 3, knew the price range that was accurate and used their handy text to get more stickers on a Sunday afternoon. The pricing they gave was accurate and true. When I came into the dealership for a test drive, they had the car ready and good information on hand. In the negotiations, they gave me a very fair valuation on my existing 2003 Vibe, they listened to my financing goals and made the deal work. They even topped of the gas tank of the Mazda, because my trade-in was on full and they wanted me to get the full value of the gas. Pretty kind folks if you ask me. Ill be back and feel great about spreading the word that Tomkinson has a legit pre-owned business to contend with their neighbors across the street.

The sales staff and the business staff were exceptionally personable and understanding of our circumstances and needs when shopping for and purchasing a vehilce. Very customer friendly and professional communication.Had the vehicle serviced for its first service appointment. We bought a used 09 vehicle...My wife indicated that the serviceman did not want to send the vehicle for a wash (one that was promised when purchased because we finalized paperwork at the end of a shift), but the salesman that helped was able to take care of it for her. Also, she indicated that the gum canister left in the vehicle had the lid up when they entering the car after the service work (both she and son are OCD about closing lids), so it is presumed someones fingers were in the gum container. Also, a screw was found in a tire and removed and the tire plugged at an OK price, but much more than what would be at a tire shop. Wife indicated that the salesman was once again exceptionally courteous and appreciative of our business, and he was very friendly and helpful.

If you are like me, you loathe the process of buying a car - the often arduous price negotiations, the hidden extra fees, the add-ons and worst of all, the categorizing of you by the dealer’s staff.As I was in the market for a new vehicle, I did my due diligence and settled on two vehicles - the BMW 335i and the Infiniti G37. With my homework done, price in mind and shields up, I entered the dealership. I was promptly and courteously greeted and then introduced to a sales representative. I was even introduced to one of the owners of the dealership! After the obligatory pleasantries, we sorted out the vehicle I was looking for and determined it would have to be ordered. Now for the price – let the battle begin! After presenting the specifications to the sales manager, the sales rep returned to the office where I was waiting with a price that knocked the wind out of my sails. What’s the catch! Still with my shields up – I studied the deal, the fine print and asked multiple questions – nothing. I was simply amazed. I signed the paperwork for the vehicle, made a deposit and left. It was the best car buying experience in my 55 years.When the car arrived, a longer than expected four months later, I expected the attempted renegotiation on the price and the add-ons sales pitch. When I arrived at the dealership to take delivery of the car, I was greeted by name by not only the sales representative and sales manager but one of the owners of the dealership. The car was sitting in the showroom. Because of the extend wait, they allowed me to pick out some BMW apparel and accessories at no charge. As for the price – they pulled the original paperwork from the file and that was it – no add-ons or renegotiation – just sign the paperwork and make the final payment.It was an amazing car purchasing experience. It is refreshing to know that there is still a car dealership that truly values their customers and treats you fairly and respectfully. If you are in the market for a BMW – this is your dealer – you do not have to look further – I have and nobody else comes close.

MISINFORMATION FROM TOMKINSON BMW SALES TEAM, NO RESPONSEAs an out-of-state buyer, purchased a vehicle over the phone, risky but they made the process fairly easy and Google reviews reassured me. Before completing the transaction, had several calls with their finance/titling team about sales tax. They informed me that Indiana requires dealers to collect sales tax regardless of buyers state of residence. They reassured me with certainty that my state, Maryland, would honor the sales tax paid to Indiana through a reciprocal program, Betty said that she verified this with Maryland MVA. My huge mistake: I should have verified with Maryland as well - instead I took Tomkinsons word.Came back to Maryland to register the new car and was informed that I had to pay sales tax, AGAIN, and that Maryland has no reciprocation with Indiana. After an initial call in which they promised to figure out the issue, Tomkinson (Greg Schaefer, sales rep; Betty Baker, titling; and the sales manager) all stopped returning my calls. Indiana unsurprisingly would not refund the tax paid.Dont let the friendly demeanor fool you, be on your toes with these people!
