This is a very unique art gallery, the store front is deceiving because the store goes on forever. Many different art pieces that are reasonably priced. Worth a visit.

Arts for ACT Gallery is located at 2265 First Street in the historic downtown River District. They were here since 2001, long before this trendy restaurant and shopping destination was even named the River District. The gallery is in a part of the 103-year-old Arcade Building where Thomas Edison once watched early movies with friends Henry Ford and Harvey Firestone. This building also once contained the Sidney Davis Mens Shop which sold hats to some of Fort Myers most elite citizens.Arts for ACT Gallery is a contemporary art exhibition gallery selling original art, giclees, hand-crafter fine crafts, jewelry, gourd & fiber art, raku, clay, clothing, and accessories. The genres of art you will see include pop art, surrealism, naïve and primitives, and abstract expressionism. Art is in an array of mediums which include oil, acrylics, watercolor, pen and ink, graphite, mixed media, photography, glass art and art cards. There are multiple rooms of items that would make great gifts for someone special or yourself. I saw necklaces for as little as $10 to items that were priced significantly higher. The 2,200 square feet of the gallery is divided into a main exhibition hall and five smaller rooms in the back. There are over 75 co-op artists and three exhibition spaces, which change monthly. They give a place for artists to exhibit and sell their work.Now only is the gallery supporting the arts but Arts for ACT Gallery is owned by ACT, Inc., the domestic violence, human trafficking and sexual assault center. They serve Lee, Hendry and Glades Counties in Southwest Florida. What an amazing cause to get behind. Great art and great cause.

Really fun art walk lots of different mediums to choose from....every storefront was different eclectic choices and vendors galore. Great way to spend the afternoon or morning. Many beautiful galleries and art for sale some very expensive to very affordable. In the heart of downtown Fort Myers a nice area to spend time

I love this place ! Whenever I am downtown Fort Myers I always try to stop in to see whats new. Lots if great handmade gifts and artwork from local artist. Plus a small area with donated designer purses , clothes and shoes for sale . Plus the proceeds go to one of my favorite charities that benefits our local shelter for battered women and their children.

Beautiful gallery

I love this gallery and the purpose behind it. Every time we attend a play at the Florida rep we always go early to explore the gallery first. It’s always new and fresh.

Absolutely loved this store...great treasure trove of clothes, jewelry and art. Bought a pair of purple reeboks - thought I misplaced them but later found. Great staff too

Its great to See Inside the gallery in the virtual Google map. I feel like I am actually in the Arts For Act Gallery and able to see all the halls and walls of art.
