Our first time there and we ended up walking out. No one acknowledged us upon entering. The staff was VERY unfriendly and rude. We weren’t sure where the line started and ended up at the register which should’ve been last. No one told us anything about ordering first. We went to get a 4 person nova platter…. Typical family meal. And were rudely told that normally you have to call ahead for that. Had they started with that we could’ve ordered something different. It’s our fist time there how would we have known that? Upon saying they could it would just take a few minutes another employee who had been talking about inappropriate things (getting CPS called on her) beat a dead horse and kept on about how we should’ve called first. The staff also said they are “totally separate from the platter people”….. what? This is a business and you all work together. If one lady is getting the lox and veggies ready wouldn’t you get the bagels to go with it? So they asked what bagels we wanted and then rudely stopped us and asked if they “could finish this order first?” Uhhhh yeah so why did you ask for ours? Terrible experience and won’t be back. Drove all the way from Hollywood and planned to spend quite a few dollars too. In the end we declined their service and left without eating or spending any money. Their loss! If you’re looking for a BETTER place go to Moms Kitchen right around the corner.

Unbelievably good bagels and sandwiches, really good coffee, fast service, and very friendly staff.Make no mistake, South Florida is the second bagel capital of the US (edged out only by NY). So bagel places are dime a dozen around here, which unfortunately leaves a lot to be desired most of the time. In this case, Chesapeake bagel bakery really wowed me.Some of the best bagels you will ever have, amazing muffins, and really good sandwiches. Their coffee is fresh and delicious and they constantly keep refilling it so its never cold.Do yourself a favor and try it. Youll get hooked quick.

First time and it wont be the last time. I had a super fresh sun dried tomato bagel. Crispy outside with soft inside and overflowing with salmon cream cheese. I was so impressed that I ordered extra bagels to go. Make sure you grab extra napkins.

I read how good the reviews were for nova lox and bagel... ONE OF MY ABSOLUTE FAVORITES!! I order a nova lox on a toasted sun-dried tomato bagel. I get to the car and the bagel was a cinnamon raisin bagel, the bagel was hard and the salmon was salty. Ill stick with my all time go-to EINSTEIN BROTHERS.First impressions are what counts the most.... I will not return.

By far the best bagels in town. The staff is always super friendly and everything from their plain bagel to onion bialy (which is the greatest) is amazing. They make all their bagels and cream cheese fresh. Their salmon cream cheese is great ! Lastly, if youre looking for more try their sausage egg and cheese bagel. DELICIOUS! Absolutely love this place.

I been craving bagels like crazy. Honestly this shop gets more then 5 stars if I could rate them higher. My first time being there. They have friendly staff and the bagels are out of this world. They taste similar to New York style bagels. Definitely recommend to anyone that is in the area to try.

WOW I had the Nova Nova and my friend had the ham and cheese croissant. I’m very impressed by the quality of the food. The lox was so yummy and I had mine on the garlic bagel. The cream cheese was delicious. It’s a quaint little cafe style shop. Didn’t try the coffee, I’m not sure it’s a specialty of theirs. The bagel smell in the store is so strong and it’s wonderful. Fall vibes for sure. Also, the staff was really nice and did a great job helping us and getting our orders out fast. Definitely going back to get some cream cheese, which they sell by the tub.

Friendly service. Not very busy for 7AM so it was a quick visit. Bagel was so good. Definitely with the trip over. Variety of muffin flavors. (be sure to bend down and check the back row). Will be back soon.

Hands down the best bagel place I have found in Fort Lauderdale. Their soft but perfectly chewy bagels are generously sized and they cover the whole bagel with seasoning, not just the top of the bagel like most places (see attached everything bagel image). Even their cream cheese is fantastic and theyre not stingy with their servings. Yes, Im proud to be a raving fan!

8/9/2020- wow great bagels . Doing the 6 feet apart as best as you can in a small place. I order 4 everything bagels, 4 sesame, 2 marble plus they have those flat bagels called (Flatties Peake ) . Got 2 of the sesame , So much sesame seeds so Goodchild. Was only buying one cream cheese walnut and honey, at register she said got another for only . 9 cents so I crabbed the bacon and chives .If you want they will cut them for you .Wow lots of bagels plus all kinds of cream cheese. Chives and bacon nova and cream cheese fish dip , plenty more . So kinds of bagels. We got a dozen bagels and two different tubs of cream cheese 2- walnut and honeys plus the fish dip only $16.99.

My wife and I came here today because I woke up with a craving for Bagels. I went on Google maps and search for a bagel place nearby and this one had the best photos so we decided to stop on by. When we get in we were greeted and welcomed by a very friendly staff. They were following the COVID protocols to the T and were felt overall safe. I explain to a that we usually go to a bagel place in Delray Beach called bagels with, and that they have a very high standard and goal to live up to and boy did they live up to it. I am not going to come right out and say that they are better but I will come out and say they are very much comparable. The everything bagel was fantastic and so was the tomato bisque soup. Over all I enjoyed my experience and will definitely be coming back.

I work there and I love to serve their food, bagels are big and baked everyday, which would explain why all our wonderful locals are there everyday, we are busy from open to close. I love the management and all the employees, what a great working environment, so glad Im part of this precious gem located in Fort Lauderdale!! Come visit..youll be back!!

Can you scrape the cream cheese any thinner!!! Bread costs nothing, put some cream cheese on there. The club sandwich is a cheap sandwich you buy in like the prepacked 7-11 boxes. Horrible. The sandwich on the bagel was ok. Also when someone orders coffee 90% of people want some CREAM!!!! With all the great places around this place is no comparison.

I hate to give this place a review, because its a small independent shop that makes great doughy bagels. So part of me hates to publicize a great hidden gem. Although theyre nice people and good bagels, so I got to give them credit where credits do...

I’ve been there several times and their bagels are good. The only problem I have is the unfriendly vibe I get from them. It’s a turn off. It actually causing me not to return.

Went for bagels, but I wont go back. Out of the 6 bagels maybe two were considered fresh. It was only 1130am, early for bagels to be stale unless they were already a day old. Maybe you have to specify fresh bagels only, or maybe none of their bagels are fresh. Anyway, plenty of other places with better bagels.

Good location, easy to spot from the street. The bagels were so yummy. Super soft on the inside and crisp on the outside. The variety of creme cheeses was a shock at first, it is not just plain, veggie, and onion like some places. The restaurant has limited seating but I think it adds to the cool vibe. There is a steady flow of customers. I cant forget to mention the hash browns which were crispy and fresh. If you are in the area for breakfast stop by you will not regret it.

After 3 years of driving by this place I thought I would give it a try. Received a warm greeting when I walked in. Place was clean. I asked one of the cooks “what bagel was her favorite?” she replied with spinach. I wasn’t too excited for spinach, however I gave it a chance with veggie cream cheese. I was in shock on how much I loved it! If I had enough time, I would have gone back for another one. I was thinking about how amazing it was all day!!I also ordered a bacon egg and cheese on an everything bagel. The everything bagel itself was great. I would skip the fixings besides cream cheese next time.I can not wait to try more of their bagels and spreads!!! Best bagels in south Florida!!!

When you open the door to Chesapeake Bakery youre immediately intoxicated by the smell of freshly baked breads. Their breakfast bagel sandwiches are delicious! The staff has become like family and remembers my order each time. It is a neighborhood staple! We love Chesapeake Bagels!

Best bagels anywhere, these kind of bagels are the ones you got when you were a kid! Youve got to go there early and pick which kind of bagel you like, I like the sesame seed salt and or plain. They sell breakfast items here and some pastries and some meals with egg in them. You can eat there on a couple of small tables. I usually get a dozen bagels and bring them home and Fries most of them so they last me for the rest of the month. I eat them like pretzels. They are huge! I could only eat a half a bagel at a time. Theyre delicious and Pull-A-Part like theyre supposed to not like these new Bagels that come in a bag in the grocery store. These are the real deal! Go early!

I came in after lunch for a dozen whole wheat bagels. Only 2 left so no worries I understand it’s late. Took the 2 and 2 multigrain. The younger lady asked if I would like them sliced.That was very nice of her and I said sure thank you very much. When I got home she cut them very poorly. Very thin on one side and very thick on the other. Who does that nonsense. Can’t fit one side in the toaster and the other side so thin it will burn. Anyway will continue to buy bagels here and cut them myself. Just venting as it doesn’t take much to do it right.

Returned on vacation was excited for my chesapeak bagles was waiting at the door before they opened was first one in got salt and everything was usual got home they were definitely left over from yesterday hard as a rock unfortunately I will be skipping Chesapeake Bagels this year so disappointing

Not many REAL bagel places left. Trust a New Yorker, damn good bagels here!! Homemade cream cheese a bit on the expensive side but it is home made and plenty of flavors. Muffins and pastries good and a good price. I live the blueberry muffins.

I came here because the reviews were great. I was greeted by the most awesome staff, all the women were very friendly and kind. The Bagel was amazing. Theres something said for fresh made Bagels daily and then I got a pistachio muffin. I would have never gotten this muffin but it is again hands down one of the best muffins Ive ever had. I live in Hollywood and I will find reasons to come up here.

Walked 3 miles to go specifically to this shop based on reviews, and definitely worth it! Im from Brooklyn and closest thing I had previously found in Florida that was close to NY style bagels was Brooklyn Water Bagel. But this place is better! The Everything and Jalapeno Cheese bagels are outstanding and so is the Pistachio muffin. Ended up buying 13 bagels and 3 more muffins to bring back to my family. Best bagels south of New York!

First time visit. Best to come late morning before some items are sold out. Was told that I could call the day before arrival, order what I wanted, and my order would be put aside for me.Wait staff was very helpful and courteous.Next time, Im going to place my order ahead of time.Also, I have been told that their products are really NY style. I havent had a NY bagel in 4 years, I am looking forward to indulging in a NY delicacy (bagel & lox).

They provide catering to our office every week. All kinds of different bagels that are soft, flqvorful, and the cinnamon raisin has the perfect amount of raisins! However, one order received was allll moldy bagels. Made me wonder how fresh their bagels are. Do we typically receive day old bagels? Huge turnoff and I never ate that breakfast again. I dont trust it.

Yum & Wow. What an amazing little bakery off of Commercial Blvd. and East of Dixie Hwy. in the Jimmy Johns plaza! The bagels are awesome and the croissants are so buttery, flaky, and tasty!! Prices are very affordable and portions are excellent.

My breakfast bagel came with cheese after I requested no cheese on any of our sandwiches. Plus it didnt taste good, nothing special. One of the employees wasnt familiar with the foods and drinks served there. I asked for a blended coffee drink and she directed me to the drinks that were set out on the counter. I suggest she get more orientation.

Me and my wife used to come here and get bagels every Sunday, but after today we will never return to this place. The customer service they displayed today has completely ruined any thought of ever returning. I’m astonished at the complete lack of customer service they showed us. Its on the north side of the street - parking can be a bit tight. Pay attention.For the most part, its been take-out for me. The servers - Jasmine and Darlene - are always polite and friendly. Ive never an issue.Chesapeake Bagel Bakery is more than just bagels. They have sandwiches - anything from breakfast, signature or deli - to a panini, salads, soup, pastries and other sweets, along with coffee, tea and other cold drinks. The bagels are very good and normally pretty decent size, but the service can sometimes be really bad. It depends on which person helps you with your order. Some workers in there are real nice and others are not so nice.If they improve their customer service and speed up there line, they would be much better and get four or five stars!!

As a former NYer, I was spoiled by having grown up with great bagels. By far and away, the bagel I just had was comparable to some of the best I ever had back home. The excellent, speedy service was also a plus. If youre in the area and want breakfast, GO THERE.
