Pretty straight up! They told me they dont even touch my vehicles transmission 09 Ford Escape. Bad output Sensor, was in Limp Mode. Took it to AAMCO, $250 out the door, part& labor.So I respect American Transmission for not waisting anyones time or telling me to bring it in and charging for an inspection for a repair they wont do. Thank You.

We wont go anywhere else! Family run and amazing people. We have all 3 of our cars transmissions done with the them. Cars ran great and they do exactly what you need and dont add on anything unnecessary. Highly recommend!

These guys are awesome! They rebuilt the transmission on my 1966 Ford Mustang. JR is one of the most knowledgeable mechanics around, the guys here are honest, straightforward and well priced. If I ever have transmission issues on my other cars I will definitely come and use American transmission exchange again. I highly recommend them if you take your car here they will take very good care of you.

Theyve rebuilt two transmissions for me over the years and its a great, honest family shop. The repairs were quoted and completed within a timely matter. I only wish they were open on Sat for a couple hours so I could bring more of my business to them as my commute doesnt allow for me to get there without taking a day off.

Family owned very nice family I had my car fix there a year ago and was from out of towner they were very nice and perfect I had to go home back to north Carolina and got sick and hopefully they remember me I have a friend who was suppose to check on my vehicle and did not I lost touch with them hopefully I will see them soon

If there was something less than a star Id put it. Just dont waste your time and go somewhere else. If you do go here and its an awful experience, I warned you.

Very friendly and appear to be quite knowledgeable however they choose not to work on Saturdays when most people are off and be able to take there is transmission issues to them. I did find another business that does work on Saturdays and took my $2,500 business to them.

I worked as an automotive repair technician several years ago and I had an issue with my wifes transmission that was beyond my abilities to repair.I was referred to ATE by another mechanic he said he knew them well and trusted them.I took the card Them and they rebuilt the trans. JR recommend that I replace several hard parts inside the trans that hadnthyet failed but showed wear and I dexlidec because of cost. 5 months later the trans failed again. Jr told me hed look at it but if it failed because of one of the parts I declined Id have to pay for the whole repair. 3 hours later he called me and said Timmy today is your lucky day, the technician reports that a clip fell off of a part inside the pan and that the whole repsir was covered by his warrantyHe could have easily sold me another rebuild.He didnt.He was honest.I cant believe it but its true.Jr is an honest automotive mechanic.Hes the only one to ever exist.Lol.Now almost 10 years later Im having transmission problems with another vehicle and I breathed a sigh of relief when I found ATE is still open and JR is still the manager.
